Arda's time has drawn to an end, as all good things must. Remember it with fondness, and may it rest in peace.

Goodbye, everyone, I loved you all and Arda very dearly.

Former members may still log in and view all the old posts (now showing all posts, not just in-character and profiles), but the board is unavailable to new registrants and officially read-only. The CBox is still functional and many people still stop by to say hello.

This site's host, InvisionFree (zIFBoards), is transferring all the boards they host to their updated platform known as ZetaBoards as of an announcement on 7/17/2017. Arda has been converted as of January 2018. You can expect to see some visual changes when you visit, but all data (posts, accounts, forums, etc) remains intact.

Additionally, Photobucket stopped allowing hotlinking from its free accounts in 2017 so many images are currently "missing."
All files are still safely stored and awaiting transfer to a better hosting solution. You can read here for more info.

Per an additional announcement on 5/7/18, this board is being converted a second time, this time to TapaTalk from ZetaBoards. Details pending further information.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) Traning Courtyard
Through a set of doors in the back of the first floor, one is led into a hallway and eventually to an open space carved out from the mountain that the castle is built into. It bears a high, domed ceiling of rock, and from the inside one can see the dreary sky that surrounds the castle. This provides a light source for the room, though if one tries they'll find that the surface is solid, with a faint earth-colored tinge hinting at this. Within this room lies all manner of training equipment, including a ring carved up from the ground that serves as a battleground for any that may need to do some sparring or even actual combat. Since this is a haven of evil beings, the latter may not be uncommon.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) The Towers
Flanking either side of the castle are a pair of high, stony and craggy towers, in which lie many windows. The windows can be used to see in almost all directions from the castle, partly dependent on which tower one is in. Both can be accessed from the side doors of the second floor, and consist mostly of a continual stairwell leading both up to their highest points and down to the Prisons. Stone floors lie at intervals through the towers, which are where most of the windows are located for easy access. William had ballistas set up at the top of the towers in case of an aerial enemy attack.

Password Protected Forum Conference Room
Through a pair of doors in the back of the second floor, straight on from the top of the stairs, lies the conference room. There are no windows in this room, and thus everything is lit by torches lining the walls and a lamp on the center of a round table, surrounded by chairs to sit in for meetings. Some chairs are similar, simply wood with red velvet cushions, but others are different, reserved for the higher-up members of the guild and adorned on the back with their own particular symbol should they have one.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) The Prisons
Far down the stairwells of the towers or some other side doors on the first floor of the castle is the prison hall. A bleak and somewhat damp environment, only faintly burning torches light this place. It is mostly an open area with four iron-barred cells lining one wall, but through an open doorway lies a better-lit room. One would likely wish to avoid this place, for it holds all manner of equipment suitable for torture; both mental and physical, according to rumor. But then, it would all depend on who does the torturing, those in high positions in the guild are among the worst. There is also a secret slab of stone which can be lifted, under which there are stairs leading down to the waterfall. Only members of the guild know about it, prisoners would never find it as it is.
