Arda's time has drawn to an end, as all good things must. Remember it with fondness, and may it rest in peace.

Goodbye, everyone, I loved you all and Arda very dearly.

Former members may still log in and view all the old posts (now showing all posts, not just in-character and profiles), but the board is unavailable to new registrants and officially read-only. The CBox is still functional and many people still stop by to say hello.

This site's host, InvisionFree (zIFBoards), is transferring all the boards they host to their updated platform known as ZetaBoards as of an announcement on 7/17/2017. Arda has been converted as of January 2018. You can expect to see some visual changes when you visit, but all data (posts, accounts, forums, etc) remains intact.

Additionally, Photobucket stopped allowing hotlinking from its free accounts in 2017 so many images are currently "missing."
All files are still safely stored and awaiting transfer to a better hosting solution. You can read here for more info.

Per an additional announcement on 5/7/18, this board is being converted a second time, this time to TapaTalk from ZetaBoards. Details pending further information.

Regular Forum Calaring the Everlight
This is an ARP forum.
At the northern-most pole of Arda is a land where the sun never sets, due to the unique angle of the planet's axis. There are often colorful lights that dance in the sky called auroras. The temperature is frigid, but because of the constant bright sunlight, occasionally it reaches a bearable temperature of approximately 40° F. It is rumored to be the home of a ferocious group of ice dragons.

Complimentary to Calaring, at the southern-most pole of Arda is a land where the sun never rises. The atmosphere is always clear and the stars and moon are always visible, and are the only sources of light here. The waters that surround this small continent are iceberg ridden and many a vessel have wrecked along the dark shores. It is a winter ice-land that has never felt the warming heat of the sun.

Regular Forum The Underworld
This is an ARP forum.
Guarded by a giant three headed dog named Cerberus, the gates to the Underworld are only meant to be entered by the dead and the undead. It is no small task for those that do not belong to get past the sturdy guard. The Underworld itself is teeming with demons, vampires and even the occasional Drow but there are many other forms of the undead that walk the paths of its dark lands.

Regular Forum Aman, Land of the Ainur
Only the deities of Arda are able to post here.
Aman is the land of the deities, floating in the sky above the world of Arda. At one time in the first ages of Arda, Aman descended from the sky and touched down to Arda's earth, and the High Elves were allowed into the holy land. It has since reascended and none but the Ainur may enter.

The land of the Ainur is a floating disc of unimaginable proportions. On the surface of the disc, there is an enormous, central structure. The ground story is the most elegant and spacious of them all, and it is known as the Hall of Omnipotence, meeting place and council hall of the powers. The massive structure's next layers serve as a kind of city square. The upper layers that make up the majority of the structure, are lodgings. There are other structures and locations on the surface of the disc, but none compare in size to the Hall of Omnipotence. The most noteworthy location is Valolvann, the prison where even the powers of the gods, with the exception of Lothlómendil, are suppressed. At 8 points around the outer ring of the disc, there are enormous, hanging, hive-like structures that are each large enough to be considered their own city. Many of these are homes to the Elves and other beings that reside in Aman.

The shining silver moon of Arda. The atmosphere matches that of Arda, but the lands are bare, and the soil white. There are also numerous rivers, and many fierce animals that scavenge for food, and among the strongest are the great moon gryphons that circle the skies.

The forces of darkness are making their first moves, and it is up to the light to rescue the silver moon of Arda. Will you fight to defend, or advance an attack for the darkness of Raku?
