Title: Bitter vengeance
Description: open
Sho - December 16, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
Sho smashed through the bushes in a temper following the vary faint sound of voices in the distance, his body was brutally beaten; there were scrapes, cuts, bruises, and scars in just about every place, yet Sho ran as fast as he could glaring straight ahead, he crashed out of the undergrowth and stumbled a bit coughing up a bit of blood from his mouth, he looked down and saw the fresh tracks of at least 30-50 humans along the floor, each footprint was stained with blood, some human, the rest lizarian.
Sho looked up glaring in the direction that the men had gone and charged at them completely enraged at what they had done. Humans, they were heatless, overcome by their greed and lust for power, they were despicable in the eyes of Sho. Eventually the voices grew clearer as night began to fall, Sho slowed down and finally stopped behind a tree panting heavily; the humans had set up camp and had a fire going along with that, they were chatting, talking, laughing. Sho's claws balled into fists and he reached up for the sword mounted on his back.
He drew it slowly and hefted it in front of him, he then sprinted out from behind the tree and charged at the humans raising his sword and slashing the sentry in the back knocking him to the floor. The rest of the group of humans looked up and saw Sho standing on the body of the sentry glaring at the humans with pure hatred in his eyes. Instantly the humans rushed to their feet grabbing the nearest weapon they could find, Sho leapt forwards cutting down another human before he could reach his sword, he then took the sword the man had been aiming for and hurled it catching a man in the face before he could throw his axe at him, Sho ran forwards parrying an attack to his head and then curling his tail round the man's ankle and tripping him up before slamming his sword through his chest.
He kicked the body aside and glared up at the rest of the humans who all had their weapons drawn now, Sho snarled and a little more blood leaked from his mouth, somehow this made the humans even more scared than they already were. Recklessly Sho charged at them head on and raised his sword as they all ran to attack him at once.
Azlateen - December 16, 2006 08:59 PM (GMT)
Wander, wander, wander... Its all Azlateen does, being the one kicked out of things a lot. Well, it didn't happen recently, but it did a few years ago, before he started wandering. This time in his wanderings, he just decided to just find a new place to explore, maybe meet some new people. Good for him, he had already found people that he could relate too, so it made feel even more content about his half demon self. Hey, being half demon had is advantages.
Strolling on through the rain forest he stumbled into a few hours ago, he heard voices coming from in front of him. Since it was dark, he couldn't see much except for a very small dot of light, and it seemed to be the origin of the voices. And to the likes of it, sounded like screams of trouble to him. His silent wish of a fight he keeps to himself surfaced in him, and he began running to the campsite.
Dashing quickly inbetween trees with his great agility, his demon side speed at that, he reached the campsite in no time, hiding behind a tree. He peered around the tree, panting slightly, to see a 7'2" lizarian slashing at other humans. He didn't know the reason why, but he knew something had to be done about. Leaning back up against the tree and catching the rest of his breath, he drew his puny 7 inch dagger and leaped out from behind the tree.
He stood behind a fallen human in a low defensive stance, his dagger outstretched behind him. "Stop yourself and justify your actions!" He said in his low voice, observing carefully the lizarian. Az noticed the guy was taller than he was, and Az was tall himself. He saw that the other one had cuts and many wounds, and drawing his own conclusions he figured he was getting revenge. He stood still and stoically, his pure black demon eyes watching the lizarian with an intense gaze.
Sho - December 16, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
Sho charged blindly forwards tackling the first person he hit and knocked his to the ground and used his clawed foot to spear the man through the heart, he kept on running and deflected a sword aimed at his thigh and cut the man's shin before skidding to a halt in the middle of the humans. He glared at them with pure hatred for every last one of them, without sparing another second he ran at them again cutting down as many as he could in a second before an axe scraped his side and an arrow cut a gash in his arm, he stumbled for a second and ran at the culprits before cutting them open like last nights dinner.
"Stop yourself and justify your actions!" The humans stopped briefly and looked at the stranger.
Sho's gaze fell on him but his expression didn't change, he merely narrowed his eyes and skewered the nearest human to him before he could react and causing the other to charge at him again, being fiercely outnumbered, Sho raised his sword with all his might and slashed sideways in front of him creating an arc that got a few of the humans and convinced the rest to stay back giving him the opportunity to charge at the weak point in their forces and cut straight through them. He stopped on the other side as they turned around; no longer surrounded Sho raised his sword again not caring if he cut down the humans or the stranger commanding him to stop.
Azlateen - December 16, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
Az watched the Lizarian slaughter more humans with his blade and barely had enough time to roll away from the blade's path of destruction. He rolled a few feet away and stood up straight. He tossed his dagger to the side and said sarcastically, "Well, that's pointless..."
"I was talking to you, Lizarian!" He yelled looking back at Sho and charging at the Lizarian with his inhuman demon speed. He jumped and flipped over the huge lizard, landing on the lizards back and got him into a head lock that was obviously pointless with how hard the skin was. But he still squeezed as hard as he could, trying to keep on the Lizarians back while it was still thrashing. "I said stop and justify your actions! It means explain yourself!" He said, trying to reason with words and force to the lizard.
Sho - December 17, 2006 11:24 AM (GMT)
Sho roared, more animal-like than ever and attempted to throw the Halfling off him. Whoever he was he was trying to stop him and that just made Sho even madder than before.
"I said stop and justify your actions! It means explain yourself!" The demon repeated.
Sho made a wile slash at him with his sword; the extra weight was extremely annoying.
"How about I just kill you instead!" He yelled before leaning over backwards and toppling to the floor.
He leapt to his feet ignoring the large bruises down his back and continued his slaughter without sparing a glance at the half demon, all he cared about was making sure every last one of these humans were on the ground, bleeding and dead. A dagger caught him in the shoulder and he stumbled fortunately ducking an arrow that thudded into a tree nearby. He stopped and looked up; a small pool of blood began to form from that which was leaking from his mouth to the ground. Panting he glared up at the humans, if he carried on like this he'd certainly be killed like the rest of them.
At least, I'll have gone down fighting. He thought bitterly.
Azlateen - December 17, 2006 11:29 PM (GMT)
Az moved to the side slightly to dodge Sho's wild swing of his sword. Still hanging on tight, he was beginning to wonder when the Lizarian will just give in. He suddenly felt the rush of falling backwards, and was slammed into the ground painfully. He let out a cry, probably feeling a few cracked ribs. He looked up at the huge lizard just standing there, about to get torn to pieces by these humans no doubt.
OOC: Let me know if I god mode too much...
IC: Az wasn't out to kill the lizard, just to get him to stop and leave things alone. He jumped up and tackled the lizard, rolling a ways and stopping, ignoring the pains in his ribs. He knew how to handle cracked bones, but his back felt better from the land at least. Hey, free chiropractic care!
"Come on, lets get you outta here." He said in the lizards' ear. "You've done enough damage, and damage has done enough to you." He puts his arms around Sho's waist, and tossed him up onto his shoulder with an incredible rush of adrenaline. He knew he wouldn't have been able to do that ever. Its amazing what adrenaline will do at times. He started dashing away, away from the humans. He swiped up his dagger on the way, and sheathed it back on his waist.
OOC: I'll leave a little interlude for you, just so I don't get too ahead of myself if I haven't done it already...
Sho - December 18, 2006 04:59 PM (GMT)
Sho stood still glaring at the humans as they redied their own assault on him. He was about to charge them when the half demon suddenly ran at him and knocked him to the ground, Sho thrashed around for a few second and a few more drops of blood flew from his mouth.
"Come on, lets get you outta here. You've done enough damage, and damage has done enough to you."
Sho suddenly remembed the uncountable number of wounds on his body from before, but the sudden remeberance of these caused him to black out a little and weaken him.
He felt himself bieng lifted up and carried off, he wanted to try and tear whoever it was in half but his arms weren't listening to him.
Let me down, he thought in vain let me kill them!"
The humans seemed puzzled, but as their brief sncounter ended so suddenly they looked around at the mess that Sho had caused, there were bodies and blood all over the place and it would take one heck of a time to clear it all up.
Azlateen - December 19, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Az dashed a good 400 yards away from the humans before stopping, and setting the Lizarian on the ground safely in a patch of a meadow of moss, surrounded by trees. He knelt before the Lizarian, and looked him over, surprised at how he could fight with all of those wounds.
"Just take it easy now, I don't wanna hurt you more." He said, and ripped off his shirt, revealing his built upper structure.. He tore it to long shredded strips, and tied them tightly around wounds, using some as a tourniquet. He knew it had to hurt, but it had to be done, even though the Lizarian probably just wanted to die with honor. But hey, a death is a death that can't be handled properly when its already done...
Az finished tying the bandages quickly and stood up, backing up a step. "Alright?" He asked, wondering if he inflicted too much pain...
Sho - December 20, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
Sho stirred a little and looked about him, from what he could see he was lying in soft patch of moss in the thick of trees with several torn pieces of clothing bandaging his wounds. He stared down at them trying to remember how he got here.
"Alright?" The demon asked.
Sho glared up at him, but at the moment he barely had the strength to swat a fly, a position he found extremely humiliating.
"Yeah," he grunted "I'm fine."
((Writer's block, happens to the best of us))
Azlateen - December 20, 2006 08:30 PM (GMT)
((Yeah I get it all the time.))
Az knelt there and brushed a dreadlock aside as it fell into his face. His black eyes stared into the Lizarians with a questioning look. He knew he wasn't alright, since he couldn't even stand. "So that's what you say. You could barely even swing your sword by the time I was getting you out of there." He said standing up and looking around. He was looking for a medium sized log to prop the Lizarian up on. He found a few, but they were still standing alive and well, but saw a fallen one nearby. "Hang on I'll be back in just a second." He said and walked over to the log. It was a good 20 feet or so in length, and probably a foot and a half thick.
It was a doozy, but Az managaed to push and roll the log over to the Lizarian, stopping it just behind him. He was glad he a halfling, having improved strength at least. "Can you at least sit up?" He asked, trying to find out how bad he truly was. "If not its alright. There's no shame in a fight you can't win."
Sho - December 20, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
Sho spat a bit of blood onto the ground and did his best to get to his feet, it ached like hell and he leaned on the log for support.
"That...Depends," he muttered wiping his mouth "on why you were fighting."
He sat down again to take the weight off his feet and examenind the worst of his cuts and bruises, he gave a short snigger at them and felt like her was about to pass out again.
"Heh, and I didn't even notice I had them..." He muttered.
Azlateen - December 20, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
Az listened to the words said and shrugged. "Yeah, but there's really no reason to feel ashamed or sorry. Come on, you were already badly beaten when you started, and everyone knew it was a fight lost." He said, trying to make things a little better. He moved and sat on the log next to him, relieved that he could at least sit up. Then he realized that he couldn't really see well, and could make out as many features of the Lizarian as he wanted to. Oh well, he'll build a fire later.
"I'm Az." He said, being friendly now, even though Sho probably wouldn't want it.
Sho - December 20, 2006 09:04 PM (GMT)
Sho scoffed at the comment and snapped a tig in his fist.
"I'd rather die fighting than surrender," he muttered.
He looked up at the sky above him, clouds were beginning to form and were obscuring the stars and the moon.
There goes my light, he thought I probably couldn't hunt like this anyway.
He picked a small stone p from the ground and pitched it across the floor, it skipped across the ground and thudded into a patch of dry leaves.
"I'm Az." The stranger said in reply.
"Sho," Sho replied.
This man had just apparently saved his life so he guessed he owed him for that, but wasn't entirely happy about it.
Azlateen - December 20, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Az nodded with a smile that could hardly be seen in the dark. "Good to meet you Sho." He said, noticing that the light waseven dimmer. He stood up and started gathering some firewood around the place. "So, why were you attacking those humans anyways?" He asked curiously as he gathered the wood.
He gathered up a big armful and dumped it a few few feet in front of Sho. He gathered another armful and piled it on. He waited for an answer, taking two sticks and rapidly rubbing them together, getting smoke in a few seconds. He put the hot stick to the pile and blew, having a fire in another matter of seconds. The fire built, and light came round. He knelt on his knees as the fire built, to make sure the fire got big enough before he dug out a fire ring around it, since there weren't many rocks around.
Dark Wraith - December 21, 2006 01:18 AM (GMT)
Xoco strolled through the previous battlefield, observing the grievous war wounds that they beared. Several of them called out for his help, but he ignored their pleas. They were gonners anyway, and it wouldn't be worth wasting his time trying to heal them.
The Lizarian was talented. Better, he was filled with rage. His anger gave him focus, made him stronger. He was an excellent specimin, a talented fighter, and best of all, he was weak now. The only problem was his companion, who was obviously not interested in what Xoco had in mind.
Instead, he walked in a wide arc until he came to a small patch of relative cover where he could observe the pair. He dropped his human guise and resumed his Wraith form, which blended nicely with the fast-approaching darkness. He observed as the half-demon tied several bandages around the injured Lizarian. Xoco wondered exactly how to press his edge in this situation. He could always just attempt to drop the demon, but that was dangerous and possible counter-productive. He needed a better plan.
He decided to wait until later and watch how things unfolded. Then he could make his move once he had a better handle on the entire situation. No sense rushing headlong into something that he hadn't analyzed thourougly. Pulling the cowl of his Wraith form's cloak over his face, he nestled down near a tree, and waited.
Sho - December 21, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
Sho watched Az gathering the wood before he ansered, he wasn't sure why he trusted this person, he'd never trusted anyone besides his own father; his fist clenched at the thought.
"Long story," he muttered "I was away from my home, my father was hunting with me, trying to show me a few hunting tricks to throw the prey off guard, well, after we'd gone a few miles away we heard several yells and the sound of a large fire. Of course we istantly turned round and ran back and saw that that same pack of humans was attacking our camp, killing my family and burning everything they could find, we tried to stop them, but as you can see we didn't exactly do very well. As far as I know I'm the only one left. So I tracked them for three days swearing vengeance, does that justify my actions enough?"
Something stirred behind them, Sho looked about ignoring the pain shooting through his neck at the sudden movement, he looked up sniffing.
"Hm," he muttered "ash in the lungs, god damn it."
Azlateen - December 22, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)
Az listened to Sho's story with interest, watching the fire at the same time. Soon the fire was big enough to hold itself, so Az took out his knife and dug a circle about 4 inches deep and 4 inches across around the fire so that the fire wouldn't spread anywhere more. Not many big rocks were available and ready to use around here.
"Well, it doesn't really justify anything, but it does show a lot of nature in someone when they're out for revenge. Not that its right, but I can see where you're coming from. But, seriously, there's no shame in losing in revenge. It happens all the time." He said, saying what he thought about the situation. Not that he ever had to get revenge on anyone, its just he knew how to handle angry thoughts such as those. He then moved to the log and took a seat on it next to Sho, gazing into the fire. He went on, "Its just one of those things where you just need to come back later when you're stronger and ready to throw some kick ass punches." He grinned sarcastically and chuckled.
The smile was wiped off his face when he too heard the rustling behind them. He looked behind them and didn't see anything, and shrugged it off. He looked to Sho and said, "Well, you sure its not that cut down the side of your neck?" He chuckled, only joking, releasing a little bit of tension from the sound. He didn't mind the smoke in his face, since he got used to it some while ago. He still hated it, it just didn't bother him much anymore.
