Rue Light - December 12, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
Rue lifted his lanky body back onto his lumpy rock again and threw himself off it to splash happily into the water. Just before the boy upset the water he could see the fat meaty fish below him splay out and avoid him. Underwater his butt hit the sandy bottem and Rue opened his eyes.
The sunny beach and trees he could see uphill. down hill: rocks, sand, fish, plants infinitly into a pure royal blue. The sun shone muted through the water.
Rue bounced off the balls of his feet and pierced to the surface and began to tread water. His head bobbed as he admired the mountain veiw.
Why do so many people like the nights here?, he wondered, Is the world really that morbid?
He ran along the bottem to the shore again and turned around in heavy, wet, rolled up pants to admire the view again while he dried off. His other clothing and his bag was dryng also on a big, warm, flat, grey rock nearby.
Meluifaer - December 12, 2006 12:37 AM (GMT)
The ranger of the Mystic Forest was near that area. He was sitting on the edge of a small cliff, his legs dangling off of the edge. A gentle breeze blew his shoulder length brown hair to the side a little. He checked the sun and where it was in case it was getting too late, to find he had plenty of time left over to do what he wished, it was days like this that made him feel eager for a hunt. 'Yes, it's truly splendid days like these that make me hungry for the hunt...' Miliufaer thought as he watched the sun move very slowly in the sky. He chuckled quietly and stood up to his feet, as he did so he made a slight noise because of the leaves under him. He noted this error and raised to his full height. Miliufaer surveyed the terrain and the beautiful lake, he had not been to this kind of place much, but it was a treat every time he did. Miliufaer ran towards a small tree near the edge of the lake and happily picked an Apricot, his favorite. He bit into it absent mindidly, barely keeping tabs on his surrounding. The gentle breeze was easily rocking him to sleep, but his will kept him awake, reminiscences kept coming to him of past adventures and things he remembered from long before that have taught him a lesson that he should stand by. He shook a little from the cold embrace of the raining shadow which sought after all humans and embraced them all in it's cold touch. It started to rain soon and he drapped his cloak over his head. Now he indeed did fall asleep. All alone, in the rain...

It was a midsummers eve, and it was cold and raining. The sky was littered with small stars that are visible before the sun sets, but since no sun was visible they came out to light the heavens. The wind was blowing to the North fiercely nearly blowing off Miliufaers cloak. He stood with the armies of Daer Udun patiently waiting the signal of the General. The Orcs far off in the distance seemed eager to have blood spilled on the land, especially since they'd be locked up in Atne so long. They're fierce drums of war, Horns, and Battle Chants rang out through the field, and the fear was visible in any humans eyes. This battle's result was to be obvious. They were heavily outnumbered and the Orcs had superior numbers as well as weapons, not to mention a whole legion of Trolls to help them out...

Miliufaer awoke from his dream suddenly. " Damnit, what was that... " The air around him pleasantly stunk of Apricot which he was thankful for. He then finally noticed a person in the distance...
Rue Light - December 12, 2006 12:58 AM (GMT)
Rue watched tiny invisible drops disturb the glassy surface of the lake. A heavy dark cloud had come from behind him while he stood. Finger thick ripples began in random places, becoming more and more frequent, and bouncing off eachother until the lake fell completely to chaos and the sun was covered by cloud. Rue quickley became cold without the sun, and he ran, bouncing on the balls of his feet in the darkening sand, to take his clothes off the rock. The rain stung his bare back like tiny falling needles. His clothes were mostly dry but the rain had undone a little and they were damp in places. He scooped up his belongings, ran for tree cover, and simutaineously pulled his long sleeved shirt over his head. He ducked under the thick drooping branches of the pine tree and sat indian-style on his bag to wait out the rain.
He felt very peaceful as he watched the rain renew the woods and lake. Not uncomfortable or restless in any way. This was new and he liked it.

Kiesu sat in a hevily leafed tree, watching the rain fall ever so elegently on the lake. Ech drop of water which fell from the sky seemed to have its own sound covered in the sounds of other raindrops. He closed his eyes as he listened to the raindrops. Thanks to his training in blind fighting he was able to isolate several areas over raindrops and listen to a form of natural chorus. This was one of the things he enjoyed doing during raining times. It calmed his essence as did the night.
Versant - July 9, 2007 04:32 AM (GMT)
Rainy skies, beautiful view, dry spot to see and listen to it all... Life was good for the young man sitting under the a tree that was only one of many that lined the lake that sang in such weather.
The young man -eighteen at the oldest- was named Versant. And like many days when it was raining, he had chosen to simply sit, watch, wait, and think until it was over. After all, when one could just lay against the trunk of a tree soaked to the point of being a cushion, it was hard for him to resist putting his arms behind his head and kicking his feet up for a while. Like he had done now, in fact. His staff, which had a simple spinal column-like pattern spiraling up it, was stuck in the ground, hanging from it his backpack.
"What glorious days, these are," he said to himself in a musical voice, followed by a laugh that would seem totally appropriate if not for a certain insane quality to it. Truly, he did love a good storm."Soaked through and through, and as warm as a mannequin left in the sun despite!" His exclamations of joy were loud, but still easily drowned out by the water from above, hitting the water that was below. Well, maybe that other fellow, a bit aways, in that very large and beautiful tree heard him... But none of mister Versant's concern, since he didn't know said fellow was there anyway.
Indeed. All that was missing was thunder and lightning, and when that came, it'd be grand. Once it was done, he'd have to get to work, he knew. He was pretty poor after all. But someone as grand as himself should have days to himself, eh? And what better days than rainy days?
Kiesu Shiinto - July 9, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
Kieasu continued to sit thereas he though of some of the things he saw and heard troughout his travels. He had been to a lot of places but not yet everywhere, and some of the places he had been to, he had gone to more then twice. This didn't bother him very much as he got to see differant things each time he went to a differant place. He took a break from thinking about this and turned his attention back to the rain which fell ellegantly against the water which sat in this small hole in the ground. The countless raindrops falling against the water creating little driplets whichi would fall back into the lake. He never tired of such things. He loved soothing sights, soothing sounds, and traveling. The clouds still went, pouring down upon the peaceful lake. Truly a sight to be remembered. He knew he would be back again a later day but he planned to stay a while.
