Kitsu-Chan - December 7, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
Kitsu wandered into the woods clutching her stomach which was gargling at her having not had a decent meal in days, Kitsu was slowly realized the disadvantages to running away from home and was half regretting her decision even if it did mean her mum yelling herself hoarse at her. Kitsu shook her head, having her bawling at the top of her voice all day was allot worse that being hungry, but she could almost taste the food from here despite it being 3 continents away.

She slumped against a tree groaning slightly wishing she hadn't come here and that there was a decent marketplace to get some food from, and lack of money hadn't exactly ever been a problem for her. She almost laughed at the thought of it, pinching food from under the owner's nose without them noticing and briefly forgot that she was hungry until her stomach reminded her with another impatient gurgle. She sighed and stood up looking around, there was nothing to eat round here and she didn't trust berries too much.

She wandered through the trees and eventually found a dirt track leading through the woods; she looked up and down it before stepping out and wandering along it. She touched the amulet round her neck and gazed down at it watching the shadow moving inside, she hadn't been able to work out what it was yet and had to admit she almost regretted stealing it, how they actually came to possess it in the first place was a complete mystery to her though, as it didn't seem like the kind of object people would keep, or even make for that matter. She shook it experimentally but again no sound came out.

She sighed and let go allowing it to dangle from the throat and catch the light, she wandered along the track for a few more yards when her ears pricked, she stopped and turned about listening; a cart seemed to be coming down the road in her direction. She looked about and jumped up into a tree settling silently on a firm branch overlooking the road and looked down. Two donkeys carrying a cart full of bread with a man at the side holding a whip in his hand passed underneath, Kitsu's eyes immediatly focused on the cargo eagerly.

She wrapped her tail around the branch and lowered herself down carefully so as not to attract the man's attention and swiped the first piece she grabbed before pulling herself back up, the man didn't seem to have noticed a thing and carried on walking beside the donkeys. Kitsu had to stifle a giggle at her success, she had after all just pinched the bread from right under his nose just as she'd been fantasizing and was now sitting in a tree with lunch all ready. She took a slow bite out of it and chewed eagerly watching the cart disappear into the trees still not having noticed the missing bread.

Kitsu took another bite and couldn't hold her giggling any longer and decided to let go and have a good one, she dropped a few crumbs in the process but she didn't care one bit. Regaining her composure she jumped higher into the tree so that she could see further down the dirt track, she noticed that the cart had stopped just inside her line of vision and she could see that the man was looking at his cargo and scratching his head, this brought Kitsu's giggled back and she dropped down landing silently on the ground. She leaned against the tree and continued eating having to stifle the occasional giggle attempting to escape her lips.

Sorean - December 9, 2006 07:44 AM (GMT)
Sorean sored through Arda's big blue skies. It was a nice day the sun was out and was shining brightly among the Salquedor Grasslands. Sorean didn't usually fly in the sky when the sun was out and so bright because he hates the sun, but this time he made an exception. He really didn't have time to complain and act laid-back like he usually does for he was in a rush for once.

Anyone looking up at the sky could easily tell he was in rush as he sored through the sky as fast as he could, his black and silver hair wipping around behind him. Sorean had just come from Estolad and is now rushing to Alulanta Falls. It is very important to him that he gets there because there is someone very important there that he hasn't seen in years.

As Sorean flapped his wings harder to pick up speed he suddenly felt a unbareable pain in one of his wings. Sorean quickly looked below him to see if he could land anywhere. He was right about the Taurai Woods, which wasn't exactly the best place to land in because of the trees in the way. Unfortunatly he had no choice but to land here or fall from the sky due to exahustion and pain.

Sorean clenched his teeth hard as he kept his wings stretched out so he could gently glide down to the ground He carefully avoided trees as he tried to land on the grassy ground of the woods. Once reaching the ground he quickly pulled his wings bak in and grabbed his left wing out of a reaction to the pain. "Why does my wing hurt so much, it never felt like this
before,"
Sorean wondered.

He thought about it then stopped, its not like thinking about it was gonna make it any better. With no choice now he knew that walking would temporarily be his only option. He walked through the forest still holding his left wing wondering if he would stumble apon a path to get out of the woods. after searching a bit he eventually found a dirt road leading through the woods.

Sorean walked along the dirt road until he felt that someone was near by. Sorean looked all around to find the presence, when suddenly something landed on his head. He felt around inhis hair and grabbed what feel in it. Bread crumbs... as he examined it. Then he heard giggling as a kitsune landed gently on the ground.

She didn't seem to notice Sorean, since she just continued to giggle and eat her bread and lean against the tree. sorean walked up to the tree and peaked around the tree. Looking at the back of her head and watching her nibble on thebread joyfully, Sorean smiled. He smiled and said,"Hello there, are you enjoying the bread?" He waited for her response.

Kitsu-Chan - December 9, 2006 01:21 PM (GMT)
Kitsu attempted to get control of her giggles, at least for a second. She'd never actually stolen something in broad daylight but this was an extreme situation and she could use the practice, and the bread was very filling too. She was giggling so much she didn't notice the figure behind her, until of course he spoke.

"Hello there, are you enjoying the bread?"

Kitsu swallowed hard in surprise and half chocked, she looked about and blinked, she hadn't seen the person arrive, or come up to her for that matter.
Oh great, she thought he'd better not have seen me.
She stepped out from behind the tree and instantly noticed a pair of wings coming from his back, she blinked in slight confusion. She snapped out of it and remembered he'd asked a question.

"Well, would I be laughing if I wasn't?" She said "sorry, but what's with the...Er...Things, you know...On your back."
Kitsu had never actually seen anything with wings before, not even a bird. Most animals where she came from were either fish or mammals, so seeing a person with a pair of wings of their own was even more startling than anybody else seeing someone like her.

Sorean - December 9, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
Sorean watched as the young Kitsune swallow hard from the shock and chock on her bread. He made a troubled face as he thought... I hope she's okay. i didn't mean to scare her. The kitsune got up from behind the tree and Sorean moved back a little so there could be a little distance between him and her. Sorean thought it would be uncomfortable to be so close when just meeting some one.

As he looked on and focused on the girl he could see she was confused, which made Sorean confused wondering why she was confused. suddenly she snapped out of confusion and asked,"Well, would I be laughing if I wasn't?" She pused then said "Sorry, but what's with the...Er...Things, you know...On your back."

Sorean turned and looked at his back and relized she must've been talking about his wings. he was so used to people talking about his wings that he didn't even realize thats what she was confused about. Sorean snapped out of thought and finally said, "These are my black wings and there very real. I have them because I'm an angel," he paused and looked down,"Well a fallen angel now."

Kitsu-Chan - December 9, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
The stranger glanced behind him briefly; Kitsu however continued staring at the wings trying to work out what they were and why he had them.
"These are my black wings," he explained.
Kitsu looked back at him still confused.
"and there very real. I have them because I'm an angel," he continued still not making any sense, he paused however and looked downwards "Well a fallen angel now." He concluded.

Kitsu looked down at him hardly having taken in w word that he'd said. "Er, okay. I get the black part, that's kind of obvious but what the heck is a whing?" She asked presuming that was how it was spelled "and what's an anjel? Sorry, but I'm not getting any of this."

Sorean - December 10, 2006 12:32 AM (GMT)
Sorean waited for a response from the young kistune to see if she understood what he just said to her. She asked with a perplexed look, "Er, okay. I get the black part, that's kind of obvious but what the heck is a whing? And what's an anjel? Sorry, but I'm not getting any of this."" Sorean slapped his forehead, pulled his hand down his face and sighed. I guess that answers my question of whether she gets it or not... he thought.

Sorean thought about how he could explain what an angel and wings are. He rubbed his chin and looked up and the sky still thinking. Suddenly a thought of something ashe suddenly snapped back to reality. "Okay, lets try it this way. angels are like humans just more evolved. We have evolved so much that we have wings and we are probably the closest beings to gods and goddess. Does that clear everything up?"

He awaited an answer hoping that she would understand.

Kitsu-Chan - December 10, 2006 11:18 AM (GMT)
The stranger slapped his head at an apparent disbelief.
"Que?" Kitsu blinked at him confused.
Thinking hard the stranger looked upwards trying to think of an answer that Kitsu might understand, she glanced downwards a little ashamed of herself.
"Okay, let’s try it this way." He began.
Kitsu looked back up and listened, not wanting to appear any dumber than she already had.
"Angels are like humans just more evolved. We have evolved so much that we have wings and we are probably the closest beings to gods and goddess." He continued “Does that clear everything up?"

Kitsu considered it briefly scratching the back of her head in the process.
"Well it'll do I guess," she said "so does that mean your nearly a god or something like that?"
However she still didn't understand the whole wing thing but she guessed that she would after a bit of time.

Sorean - December 10, 2006 08:19 PM (GMT)
The girl scratched herhead out of confusion. Maybe I should have explained that in a better way... He thought. Sorean waited for her to respond as she gave what he told her some thought. After a little scratching she said,"Well it'll do I guess,so does that mean your nearly a god or something like that?"

Sorean thought about whathe said and realized that he probably shouldn't have said the 'closest thing the gods' part. In his head Sorean was wondering if the girl thought he was now as strong as a god which he wasn't. He started to scratch his own head which caused his long hair to sway back and forth.

Responding to her question Sorean replied, "Well back in my old homeland we angels were the closest begins to the gods, but here in Arda, angels are probably just another race." Sorean nodded his head out of satisfaction with his answer. This answer should do just fine... He thought.

Kitsu-Chan - December 10, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
The angel looked a little confused at her response, she stopped scratching the back of her head and blinked at him confused, wondering what was wrong. The stranger mimicked her actions causing his hair to sway back and forth.
"Well back in my old homeland we angels were the closest begins to the gods, but here in Arda, angels are probably just another race."" He explained, evidently having thought hard about the question.

"Oh," kitsu replied "sorry, I'm not from around here, it taking time for me to get used to this place, it's nothing like at home."
Seemingly satisfied Kitsu leant back against the tree and looked up between the branches, although this place was a little strange to her, it was allot better than what was waiting for her is she did go home, she'd become lost anyway and wouldn't be able to find her way home if she tried.

"So...Er, do all angels have wings?" She asked curiously "and what are they for anyway? They look like they get in the way allot."

Sorean - December 12, 2006 12:06 AM (GMT)
The kitsune started to look less confused and more satisfied as she leand against the tree behind her. Looking up between two branches the girl seemedto be in a state of thought or a flashback. I wonder what she's thinking about... he thought rubbing his chin. Then finally trying to make converstaion she said, "So...Er, do all angels have wings?" She asked curiously "and what are they for anyway? They look like they get in the way a lot."

Sorean stared at her for a moment as if he was in a trance. At taht time he was having a flashback of his own until he suddenly snapped back to reality. He jumped as came back to reality, he jumped like someone just scared him. Finally he said,"Huh? What?" he paused, "Oh yes the question. Well, yes all angels have wings and yes they do get in the way mostly in forests. As for what they're for I'm not sure because my br-" he stopped and covered his mouth.

Kitsu-Chan - December 12, 2006 04:43 PM (GMT)
The stranger seemed to be in thoughts of his own at the moment, but Kitsu was a little too relaxed to care. She remembered the last time she'd been in this kind of position, leaning against a tree and watching the sky, it was a long time ago when she had still lived at home and before she'd become addicted to stealing small things, her sister had come outside and walked over to her with a somber look on her face before telling Kitsu that her brother Sheiro had just died. He'd had the disease for 3 years and it was slowly destroying him, Kitsu hadn’t cried because she'd expected it, she broke out of her memories trying to hold back a few tears from it.

"Huh? What?"
"Que?" Had she been muttering while she was thinking back?
"Oh yes the question." The angel said “well, yes all angels have wings and yes they do get in the way mostly in forests. As for what they're for I'm not sure because my br-"
He cut off and clamped his hand over his mouth, Kitsu stared at him confused.
"Brother? Right? Do you have a brother?" She asked "or is he dead too?"

Sorean - December 18, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
"Brother? Right? Do you have a brother?" She asked "or is he dead too?"
Sorean eyes grew wider and wider as the young Kitsune mentioned the simple word brother. Chills went down his spine then course through his entire body. He shivered and mumbled as he tried to form his small mumbles into complete sentences. He leaned against the closest tree he could find and put one hand on his head as he stared at the ground.

Taking deep breathes as he began to calm down and regain his compsure. He stood up straight and took a cloth from a poket form the inside of his robe then wiped the sweat from his forehead. He gave the kitsune a small bow as an apology to what had just happened. He sighed, "I'm... sorry you had to see that,"He paused,"I'ts just that the word its self makes me remember him... my br-brot..." He looks away.

Sorean turns his back to the girl and looks up to the sky, staring at the sun through the leaves and branches of the trees above. He thinks about the past and reachs to the sky as if to grasp the the memory that he thought of. Suddenly he replied, "I don't know if he is dead or not, but I'm going to find out soon."
