Title: Something new
Description: open to all

Shagon - November 22, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
The sun rose slowly and illuminated the city of Lomedor casting light among the streets, it also cast light upon a solitary figure sitting atop a roof with an instrument in his hand playing it slowly and clearly.

"So many strangers on the street...
And nearly everyone you meet...
Can't relate, can't translate, can't create...A conection. Nooo...

Easier to keep your distance...
Than tread the path of least resistance...
Don't engage, stick to your gauge, stay of stage...
Full connection.....

Then everything changes...
She's there...Life rearranges
Wing-ed angel from above...
Help me find my will, the will to love, the will to love...
The will to love...........

So many strangers on the street...
And nearly everyone you meet...
Can't relate, can't translate, can't create...A conection. Nooo...

Wing-ed angel from above...
Help me find my will, the will to love..."

After he'd finished he stowed his instrument away and gazed out over the city, in the morning it was so calm and peaceful, nothing was moving and the city was just waking up. Matt sighed to himself and stood up walking to the edge of the roof.
Given up yet,
Matt whacked his head slightly.
I'll ever give up for you Shagof, he replied.
Be careful you don't provoke me Matt,

Matt cursed quietly and hopped down from the roof landing suprisingly safely despite the height of the fall. He stood up straight and shook his head slight cursing, if Shagon did break free of his mental shackles then he was sure to try and oblitorate everyone in sight.
You can't keep this up forever Matt, Shagon gloated sooner or later I'll break free.

A shadow slipped out from behind a tall building, darting silently across the road and back into the cover of the alleyways on the other side. Jess paused for breath once she reached the relative safety of a long, narrow alley. She poked her head out from behind the wall and, satisfied that there was nobody around, she left the alley and followed the main road, keeping an eye out for any guards that may be hanging around.
Her last job hadn't really gone all that well, the target had known she was there and had yelled for help as loud as he could until Jess had slit his throat. But the guards had heard the scream and had run towards the sound. Jess had just escaped without them seeing her but, just in case they actually had seen her, she had run as fast as she could away from the scene of the crime.
A couple of the guards had heard her and gave chase, following her footsteps and the occasional glimpse of her green dress and cloak. The small blonde girl had managed to shake them off by climbing onto the roof of a small building and travelling by rooftop until she had run out of rooves. Then she had dropped down to the alley and run across the road on which she now travelled.

Her musings were interrupted when she heard a sound coming from to top of one of the buildings on the side of the road. I sounded like... singing? The half-elf stopped, intrigued as she saw a man atop one of the buildings, playing an instrument and singing softly to himself. Jess watched as he finished his song and seemed to hit himself lightly in the head before he dropped down to the road, shaking his head.
It seemed as if something was wrong and Jess walked towards him, wanting to help. To avoid startling him, she stopped a couple of meters away and asked in a worried tone, 'Are you okay? You look as if you just saw something awful.'

Shagon - November 23, 2006 04:56 PM (GMT)
Like it or not Matt knew that Shagon was right, he couldn't hold him back forever.
Still, it's either that or be an outcast, he though.
He was so preoocupied he barely noticed the half elf run from an alleyway leading into the street and stop behind him, not until she spoke that is.
'Are you okay?' She askeed 'You look as if you just saw something awful.'
Matt jumped with a start turning around. "Wha!? Oh, no nothing...I," he forced himself to calm down and then continued as camly as he could although he was still a litten shaken "nothing I'm just....I've not been myself lately."

Literally, Shagon laughed inside Matt's head.
Matt gave his head another short whack in a vain attempt to shut Shagon up. "Sorry, it's just...You startled me." he said recovering slightly "heh, I wasn't expecting to see anybody around this early."

Shagon laughed again inside Matt's mind, it looked like he was standing on an empty field of clouds with a grey sky overhead.
"Wanna share the joke?" Matt asked. He appeared to be standing right infront of Shagon although he was, in reality, outside talking to the elf and their seperate souls were having a little private conversation.
"You are the joke," Shagon said through his mask "I can't beleive I have to share a vessel with someone like you."
"Hey I didn't ask for this you know," Matt argued.
"Just remember I could take you out at anytime," Shagon boasted "only I need this body to survive, pity."

Matt shook himself slightly, Shagon was irritating even when Matt was able to hold him back.
"S-sorry," he said to the half-elf "my mind was elsewhere, I do that sometimes."

Marinar - November 23, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
This place was not very crowded considering the time of day, yet it was still far too crowded for a man all too used to being out in the wilderness, past the edge of civilization and alone. At least the opportunities to gather supplies to last for quite awhile were virtually endless thanks to how distracted everyone ones by the crowds and the hustle and bustle. For someone of such imposing stature, towering, broad shouldered and also particularly muscular, Marinar managed to avoid being noticed by most people- or at least that’s what it seemed like.

He pushed through the crowds with his hand resting on the hilt of his two-handed sword as he slipped past the entrance to a store he had some sort of qualm with and picked up an apple- with a five finger discount. Unfortunately, Marinar was quite seriously lacking in his thieving skills and a shout went up from inside the shop as Marinar continued to calmly walk away. He had already taken notice that most of the guards seemed preoccupied with other things, looking for someone else, so there was little that could be done before he could disappear and drop the trail for the guards to follow.

Dragging his fingers of his free hand through his earth brown hair, he took a bite out of the apple as he ducked down into an alleyway and held the apple in his teeth as he scaled up a crude ladder towards the rooftops. Apparently, the ladder was a little too crude and the rungs snapped under his feet, leaving Marinar stuck having to jump to the window ledge on the opposite side of the alleyway. Fortunately, having been raised in the mountains, Marinar was a fairly competent climber and he managed to scramble his way up to the rooftop.

Managing a quiet grunt, he pulled himself over the edge and sighed as his feet planted on the firm rooftop. Taking another bite of the apple, he noticed a pair of guards moving about on the street below and smirked a bit to himself. “Last time I steal anything.” He muttered to himself before taking a final bite of the apple and tossing it into an alley across the street, the sound of the apple hitting a pile of rubbish drawing the guards’ attention. After jumping from the roof he was on to another, he noticed a pair of people on the ground below the rooftop he was on.

“I don’t suppose either of you would know where a good place to avoid the guards for awhile would be, would you? He asked, not bothering to keep quiet, half tempting the guards to overhear him.

Istonania Mando - November 24, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
Istonania entered the store, smiling at the merchant who prepared for a long day of selling. An assortment of fruit and vegetables scattered the shelves. They looked quite fresh, glistening with morning dew. The elf would leave this day for Estolad. He had gathered all of his belongings and came to this shop to buy a few travelling supplies. He looked at a strange fruit, its rainbow skin making the fruit the most attractive in the entire shop.

"The angels grow them near the sanctuary. It's very sweet and one of the best tasting things you'll ever find. That's also why it's so damn expensive."

Istonania laughed as he looked at the merchant. He wore a brown apron, which made him look the part. He finished stacking the last of his merchandise as a man walked in. He looked quite calm and relaxed as he picked up the apple and walked out, saying nothing and acting as if he had done nothing wrong.

"Hey, you didn't pay for that you thief!"

He was just about to chase the man when Istonania stopped him. The man looked quite dangerous and he didn't want the merchant to get hurt.

"I'll get your money for you. Wait here, I'll be back within the hour."

The merchant nodded as Istonania smiled. Although the apple didn't cost very much it didn't make it right to steal. The elf left the store and scanned the street for the thief. It didn't take very long to find him as he walked away, a shiny red apple in his hand. Istonania followed him, walking at a fast pace. The guards seemed to be preoccupied as there was no one patrolling the streets. The thief turned down an alleyway, taking a bite out of the apple. The elf quickened his pace. Losing him wasn't an option for Istonania for he was determined on getting the money back.

He turned the corner into the alleyway and saw the thief climbing a ladder. Istonania ducked around the corner to make sure he wasn't seen, poking his head out to see what the man would do. The ladder snapped and he quickly recuperated, jumping to a windowsill on the other side of the alleyway. He then climbed the building, managing to get to the top. He pulled himself up onto the rooftop with a bit of trouble but eventually, he got there.

I have to follow him.

The ladder the thief used was broken but fortunately, for the elf, there was another ladder a little further down the alleyway. Istonania quickly ran towards it, jumping onto it with speed. He quickly scaled up the sturdy wooden ladder, finding himself on the rooftop in a matter of seconds. He immediately saw the thief standing on the other side of the rooftop. He threw the apple into the alleyway below, hitting a pile of rubbish below. It made a loud bang, distracting a few guards below. The guards looked like they were looking for someone and they were determined to find him. The thief quickly jumped to another rooftop, scared that the guards would come after him. Istonania followed, deciding that it was time to confront the man.

Istonania was surprised when he saw two more people other than the thief on the rooftop. One of them was a teenager, his purple hair and jet black eyes looking strange in the morning light. The other was a half-elf, one just like his son. Her blonde hair and green eyes were beautiful but deadly.

“I don’t suppose either of you would know where a good place to avoid the guards for awhile would be, would you?"

The thief spoke to the two figures. They had probably spotted Istonania, unlike the man who still didn't know the elf was there. He waited for the mans answer and how the strange figures would react.

Shagon - November 27, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
((Er, I kinda jumped off the roof, just thought I'd make that clear))

"So anyway, what did you say you're name was?" Matt continued.
But before he got an answer he was interupted by a second person coming close.
Who'd have thought the place would be this crowded early in the morning. He thought.
Three's a crowd, Shagon chuckled and boy do I love a crowd.
Shut up!

“I don’t suppose either of you would know where a good place to avoid the guards for a while would be, would you?" The stranger asked.
"Guards?" Matt said somewhat confused "why would you want to hide from guards?"
He shifted a little way apart from the man growing a little untrusting.
Guards? My favourite.
Matt suddenly doubled up clutching his head as though it was about to split open.
"Bummer, not again." He gasped.

Ha, ha. Come on paracite, let me have my fun. Shagon taunted.
No way, Matt replied not after what you did before.
Oh, and you're going to stop me are you?
Shagon laughed forget it, and let me take over!
Never!

Somehow Matt pushed Shagon to the back of his mind and nearly collapsed panting for breath, clearly this man had no idea what he'd almost unleashed.
"Sorry..." he panted "just need to...catch my...breath."
And then he did collapsed, drentched in sweat.
