Title: Night at Alulanta Falls
Description: ~open 2 every1!!!~
Lan - November 22, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
Lan walked around the falls as night hit. All was calm and quiet. The air was warm with a cool breeze...even though the vampire could not feel it. Although he could sense it. He stopped by a waterfall and looked up at it. The water was pouring down from the top of the hill. He had never been here before and thought that this particular place was nice.
This place is rather quiet...its nice here. Thought the vampire staring forward.
He then backed away from the waterfall and sat on a rock to rest a while. Lan sat his staff and spell book beside him. He wandered if anyone would come by. It was night after all. Not to many people are out at night except vampires and demons maybe. He smiled slightly in the darkness. Clouds began to form in the sky and everything became darker. Lan sat there and wandered if anyone would come by.
Lance - November 22, 2006 07:37 PM (GMT)
Wandering over to the falls as night began to fall, the boy that appeared to be a human of 19, with a red left eye and the right eye covered by his dark blue headband, wandered silently through the forest over to the falls, met almost all through the way by the sounds of crickets chirping and owls hooting, though he only knew them by sound; he'd never seen either of them yet that he knew of. Other than that and the ever-crashing waterfall, it was plenty quiet and peaceful, perfect for one like him, who didn't like a whole lot of noise, and was quite more comfortable in the darkness than in the light. After all, he may appear human, but in truth he in no way was, apart from his metaphorical heart.
Looking up briefly, he watched as clouds began to engulf the stars, and shrugged to himself, not bothered in the least by it, simply continuing to walk, noticing before he even saw them someone else near the falls, a vampire from what he could sense. Vampire...he generally didn't like them or other undead, being from the Underworld, one of the two lands of death, and feeling they should go to their proper place when they die, but he nonetheless gave them a chance, as he did with most everyone.
"Hope you don't mind company," Lance said, in a voice befitting his form, as the young vampire boy came into view. "Like coming here myself from time to time to relax, get away from the busy cities and such."
Lan - November 22, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
Lan turned around to notice someone else behind him. He seemed intimidating because of his left eye. Lan didnt move at first hoping the other person wouldnt notice him. A chill ran down his spine as he saw him look over at him. He then relaxed alittle when he heard him speak. "Hope you don't mind company," he spoke. "Like coming here myself from time to time to relax, get away from the busy cities and such."
"Yeah it is a nice place. Ive never been here before though." Lan smiled. "No I dont mind company. I really dont like being all alone. So what do you want to talk about? Im kinda bored and any topic is fine with me. By the way my name is Lan."
Lan still sat there and waited for the other person to respond. He did wander what he would want to talk about. But he didnt really care so he sat there and waited calmly for the man's response.
Lance - November 23, 2006 04:57 PM (GMT)
"Yeah it is a nice place. I've never been here before though," the boy said, smiling. Strange for a vampire...not that he was too concerned about that. "No I don't mind company. I really don't like being all alone. So what do you want to talk about? I'm kinda bored and any topic is fine with me. By the way my name is Lan."
Talk about? He wasn't really sure, he never was all that great with conversation, being not initially from the mortal plane. Shrugging slightly, he decided to respond with whatever came to mind.
"Mine's Lance, pleasure to meet you," he said, holding a hand out to the boy in a friendly gesture. "I suppose you must be fairly knew to Arda, then?" he asked, judging from the fact that Lan had said that he'd never been to this particular place, the falls, before. Everyone he knew in Arda had at some point or other.

(( hope you guys don`t mind me joining ^_^ ))
As the night fell upon Arda, a vampire named Evelyn walked out of her shelter. The cold wind was playing with her black hair as she came out. She didn`t excatly know where was she heading to, but after all, it didn`t really matter anyways. She was hungry, nervous and desperately needed to find herself a victim. Evelyn`s red eyes observed every inch of the area around her, she carefully listened to every sound. It`d be such a pity to miss a potencial target...
Apparently, the girl was somewhere near Alulanta falls, considering she could easily hear the water. The road Evelyn was walking by appeared to be empty. But suddendly, she spotted a single figure walking quickly, and an evil smile popped up on her face immediately.
"Honestly, I cannot belive how stupid can mortals be sometimes." she thought to herself as she hid behind a nearby tree. And she was right; it really was stupid to walk all alone at night. Especially when you know what kind of creatures come out as soon as the sun disappears from the sky. When a human being came really close to her, Evelyn suddendly jumped out of the tree and, pulling the man`s head to her, buried her fangs into his neck, drinking thirstily. It felt just great to feel the blood filling her mouth again...
As Evelyn finished off with the man, she left him lying there, not getting too excited about that. "Someone will find him sooner or later. she thought to herself. The girl decided to visit the waterfalls; it was a peaceful place and not too many beings would show up there in the middle of the night. Besides, it had been awhile since the last time she went there.
She walked throughout the woods until she finally reached them; the breathtaking waterfalls. Evelyn was just about to sit down on a nearby rock, when she spotted two figures talking. It was obvious they didn`t notice her. She raised her eyebrow slightly and decided to sneak up on them. However, she didn`t plan on attacking considering she had her last meal a couple of minutes ago. The girl smirked and leaned against the rock near the figures, remaining silent.

(OOC: No I dont mind you joining. The more the merrier.)
"Mine's Lance, pleasure to meet you," he said, holding a hand out to the boy in a friendly gesture. "I suppose you must be fairly knew to Arda, then?"
"Its nice to meet you too, Lance. Yeah Im new."He replied getting up and walking up to him. Lan smiled to him shaking his hand. "Its a good place here so far. But not many people trust me because Im a vampire. I figured out that much. But anyway what should we do now? Are they any cool places around the falls?"
Lan stood there noticing more grey clouds in the sky. I hope it doesnt rain... He thought. Lan waited for Lance to respond for a while before he came up with another question.
"Hey, Lance. What do guilds exactly do?" Lan wondered thinking about his own question.

(( May I? ))
He had travelled east from Lake Aelin, the cold winds of the plains and the southern ocean berating him as they lashed at his cloak, tugging it one way or the other, and causing a frigid chill to creep up his spine whenever it was uncovered by the gusts. He could shrug it off a little, but after a time such a thing took its toll - and it had been quite some time. Walking for a day, hoping to find some sign of civilization. After having your family murdered in front of you by a group of god-forsaken Madagarim... ...he growled at the thought of encountering one of them. Young vampires thirsty for blood, ignorant of the consequences of leaving a single cursed man behind. They had sensed his curse, and they had wanted him to suffer to see the second family he had adopted die by their hands while he was helpless, tied nearby. In a hundred and fifty years since that Necromancer had cursed him, for the first time, Isaac was truly angry at the old man.
The wind was lessening now, though, as he came closer to the Alulanta Falls, where waterfalls spread out and careened down the cliffs as far as you could see (unless of course you were lucky enough to be blessed with the amplified eyes of the owlbears to the northwest... ...but they may have actually stalked those falls).
At this time of night, they were calmed slightly. I suppose the winds make up for that, Isaac thought as he moved forward towards a bridge of stone which had apparently been crafted by some creature - though the markings on the sides refused it the appearance of a man-made structure.
Why did he notice every little detail? He didn't know. It was Isaac's blessing and curse to see all sides of a situation, to concentrate on it. He shook his head and moved on, forgetting the bridge... ...and the fact that a being had approached and stopped on it, watching him. He had been for a long time... ...the others had made a mistake in letting Isaac live - he would not. He eyed the cursed suspect as he arrived at the top of the waterfall.
It was there, at the top of the cliff where the fourth set of waterfalls plunged down into another, then another, that Isaac saw the duo speaking. One sat on a rock, a vampire - Isaac clenched his right fist as he crouched down behind a set of moist bushes and observed them from the side. Something didn't feel right - they weren't the only ones here, but Isaac shrugged it off as quickly as he had the bridge behind him - the Vampire may have been part of the party that killed Walter and the others...

"Its nice to meet you too, Lance. Yeah I'm new," Lan replied getting up and walking over to Lance to shake his hand. "It's a good place here so far. But not many people trust me because I'm a vampire. I figured out that much. But anyway what should we do now? Are they any cool places around the falls?"
Noticing someone else nearby suddenly...well, two others, actually, Lance casually turned slightly, glancing behind him and looking around a bit. One seemed to be a vampire...well, another vampire, that was to say. The other seemed to be human. He'd come here to relax, but this seemed to be turning out rather interesting. He couldn't see either yet, though...they probably didn't want to be seen. But that was their own way, he supposed.
Realizing that he was getting distracted, something that didn't often happen with him, he turned back to Lan, noticing the other vampire at the least get closer, forcing himself very quickly to remember what the boy had said. "Not really much other places around the falls here except the forest, though a little ways into it is the elvish capital of Arda. Although I can say that I'm not going back there, there was an incident the last time," Lance responded, thinking back briefly to that day.
"Hey, Lance. What do guilds exactly do?" Lan then asked, and Lance didn't take long to think before being able to respond.
"As for guilds...well, I can't really say in specific what they do, since they serve a variety of purposes. Kind of thinking of starting one myself, come to that..."
Then, figuring he'd let this other vampire in on this little meeting, though it seemed to him by the way they were remaining silent and no longer moving, not far away, that they thought the two of them hadn't noticed them, he again turned slightly, looking over with his one red eye to a girl leaning by a rock a short distance away. "Don't suppose you just planned to stay off to the side like that? Not really much need for it," he said, this unfortunately being the best he could think of to. He still wasn't exactly the best conversationalist...he needed to work on that sometime.

(Sure! I dont mind you joining either.)
"Not really much other places around the falls here except the forest, though a little ways into it is the elvish capital of Arda. "As for guilds...well, I can't really say in specific what they do, since they serve a variety of purposes. Kind of thinking of starting one myself, come to that..."
"Good Idea. About starting the guild I mean." Lan smiled and noticed that Lance was looking around the area. "Whats wrong Lance?"
"Don't suppose you just planned to stay off to the side like that? Not really much need for it," Lance spoke in the next minute.
Lan couldnt really tell if anyone else was there. All he could see was Lance. He wandered who else was in the area. So he decided to speak to whoever it was Lance was speaking too.
"Yeah. We're friendly." Lan smiled at whoever was out there. He wasnt sure how many people were out there but he figured Lance was talking to more than one. "Come on out from where ever your hiding. Its okay. We're just talking. You can come talk to if you want. I dont mind."
Lan watched around the area just to see who was out there. He wasnt sure if who they were talking to was friendly or not. Oh well. At least he tried to be polite and friendly to them if they werent. He just hoped that they were friendly people out there.
Lionheart - November 26, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
Vampires coming together - they may attack that man! Isaac thought. His hand rested against the hilt of his father's blade - if there were two vampires here, they may have been involved in the massacre at the village. You can't randomly kill, even if they are vampires, he thought, trying to keep himself from just lashing out from the bushes, leaping down and slamming his sword into the vampire's head, he may actually be friendly... ...and if he's a friendly vampire, he's a source of information.
Isaac stood from behind the bushes and observed the two down near the side of the falls, his hand now away from his father's sword, instead resting at his side. He observed them for a moment before making his way down a natural stairway of rocks nearby, arriving at where they were sitting. With a courteous bow he introduced himself.
"Good Evening, they call me Azrael," he greeted, "Azrael Lionheart. What do they call you, vampire?"
Lan - November 26, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
Lan saw someone come out from the bushes behind him. "Good Evening, they call me Azrael," the man said. "Azrael Lionheart. What do they call you, vampire?"
"You mean my name?" Lan said. "My name is Lan. Its nice to meet you Azrael."
While he waited for Azrael's response Lan wandered how he knew he was a vampire. Everyone that he met didnt notice unless he actually pointed it out to them. Still Lan had no reason not to trust Azrael. So he thought nothing of it. Lan wondered if someone else was out there. He didnt know for sure and it never hurt to ask.
"Is anyone else out there?" Lan asked. "If so you can join us. I dont mind." The he turned to Azrael. "What brings you here Azrael? If i may ask you. Im here cause Ive never been here before. This is a nice place dont you think?" Lan added with a friendly smile.

Isaac recalled the events of the village, the vampires... ...would it be wise to tell a vampire that Isaac had seen a group of vampires burn his village to the ground, kill his adopted 'family', and just now returned from that with the thought of vengeance against vampires fresh on his mind? Probably not, but if this vampire was present there Isaac would probably already be dead. No harm in trying to get a little information...
"I come from a small village near the mountains..." Isaac explained, "...my friends were killed when a group of renegade vampires burned it to the ground. I was left alive for reasons unknown to me."
...he figured it wasn't a good idea to tell the vampire a necromancer had cursed him to have to weather such hardships for eternity, either. If a vampire knew of it, he might kill him to attain everlasting life - ignorant of the fact that with it came hardship and pain beyond imagining. Not realizing that seeing your friends and family grow old and die around you was truly more painful than at first you may realize.
Isaac hated the necromancer, but he was growing to hate himself for angering the cursed man...
Evelyn - November 26, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
"Don't suppose you just planned to stay off to the side like that? Not really much need for it,"
Evelyn raised her eyebrows slightly as the man spoke. "Have I ever said I planned on doing that?" she responded calmly, yet coldly. The girl`s eyes glanced on over to the man that just joined them as well, smirking slightly. By his behavior she could easily conclude he wasn`t fond of vampires; she didn`t know why though. Nor it bothered her much. Besides, he wouldn`t be the first one to think of them in negative way.
"Come on out from where ever your hiding. Its okay. We're just talking. You can come talk to if you want. I dont mind."
"Fine, then." Evelyn replied, coming out of shadows. She put her black hair behind her ears and crossed her arms. As the other man asked what the other`s vampire name was, Evelyn noticed the way he actually pronounced the word vampire. Grinning slightly, but evily, she looked at Lionheart with kinda curious look on her face. However, when he said what happened to his family, she raised her eyebrows again. "Aww... What a terrible thing." Evelyn said to him, still smiling. She heard of that story before. She knew the village was completely distroyed, and almost everybody were murdered. But then again... Why would she care about it that much? It had to do nothing with her, after all...
"Ahh, I assume that`s why you don`t like vampires. Or am I wrong? Do you still like them? I know I certainly wouldn`t..." Evelyn spoke in a fake concerned tone, observing Lionheart. She smiled evily once again. This was the thing she most enjoyed doing; reminding people of their darkest memories, making them think of everything they once had, of all the people they cared about... Of everything that wasn`t there now, though.
The girl kept up grinning with her eyebrows raised, and waited for an answer.
Lance - November 26, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
"Good Evening, they call me Azrael," the human Lance had felt greeted them, coming down from around the top of the falls, "Azrael Lionheart. What do they call you, vampire?" Despite noticing the tone of that last word, Lance ignored it, glancing over to the man for a few moments to see what he actually looked like. Couldn't avoid finding those that hated vampires where ever one went.
Then Lance listened silently for a short while as people talked, that other vampire girl coming out actually into the open. He didn't really like that concerned tone of hers, so obviously fake...and she wasn't exactly one to talk with that last comment anyway. She was a vampire herself, though if that man, Azrael, was to find out, that would be up to him. He didn't really care much either way. For that matter, he probably thought Lance himself was human, albeit a human with a red eye, and if so, Lance was fine with keeping it that way. At least as long as this other vampire didn't try to attack him or anything, which would be a mistake on their part. He wasn't by any means human, only adopting the form of one to get around without too much trouble, and the shadows that made him up would be rather poisonous to vampires. One had found that out the hard way a long time ago.
"Well, since everyone around the area is now here, suppose I may as well introduce myself," he said. "Name's Lance."
Lionheart - November 26, 2006 05:07 PM (GMT)
"I don't really care what happens to vampires in general - they're all a cursed kind, the kind I don't take kindly to if it attacks a village I had lived in for... ...well, a long time, let's say." Isaac explained, malice creeping into his voice with each word.
"I can tell you that a burning village, a Necromancer with a temper, and a few vampires taking their meal stretches far beyond just making be dislike them... ...I will tell you now, she-devil... ...if I meet with a vampire from that night, it will be the last time he meets with anyone, again."
Her mind games had worked to a degree, but Isaac was not interested in her. It was obvious she had little information - he smelled fresh death upon her, could almost see it with his mind's eye, but he didn't smell the burning village - he didn't feel the awkward, gaping hole that he did in the presence of those that had done it, as if a Dark God had already possessed him and set him on a destructive rampage. He tried his best to do good - it was natural to him once, but now it was harder and harder... ...every time he saw a vampire the thoughts of chaos ran through his mind, and sometimes he smiled at the thought of not only killing them, but bending and torturing them, warping them... ...corroding them.
As Lance spoke, Isaac listened - the vampire girl had yet to reveal her name:
"What do they call you, m'lady?" Isaac asked, sarcasm apparent with his last word.
Lan - November 26, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
Lan listened to everyone for a moment taking in all the information.
"Im sorry that happened to you, Azrael." Lan said with a frown. "Even thought you hate vampires I wont disrespect you for it sir. That's your opinion and there's nothing I can do to change it."Lan noticed another vampire girl come out of the shadows. "Hello there, miss." Lan said to her with a friendly smile. He wanted everyone to maintain a postive attitude towards each other...but everyone else seemed to be in a negative one.
I wander why everyone is being so mean to each other... Lan wondered with a sigh. why cant we all be friends and just forget what past that plagues us...I cant remember my past.
It was true. Lan couldnt even remember how he had become a vampire. He couldnt even remember his mother or father. Nope. Any memory that he had before he became a vampire had vanished. All Lan could remember now was his adventures in Arda and the people he had met.
He thought the way the girl was talking to Azrael was a little mean and he could sense the tension between them. With that thought Lan stood up from where he was sitting. He walked behind Lance and stood there. Incase anything got rough he shouldnt be in the way. Lan was only a healer. Well if anyone got hurt Lan was here to heal. Lan leaned on his heal staff and watched Azreal and the girl.
