Title: .//. To the Tower!
Description: waiting for Adsero, but anyone can come!

Zivilan - June 15, 2005 12:57 AM (GMT)
Zivilan was a ways away from the tower, striding lightly with an unalert smile on her face. She was feeling unusual today, as if there was nothing in the world to worry about. Almost a drowsy feeling. But Ivi didn't try and shake it off, for it felt really nice. The shapeshifter closed her eyes and spun, morphing into a deer. The light-colored deer leaped gracefully, heading unknowingly towards the tower. Her large doe-eyes didn't take anything in as she seemed to fly past. If she would have been alert, Zivilan would have noticed how the grass was growing sparse, and that the sky seemed to be getting darker. Soon she was trodding on pure ground, with hardly any grass or vegetation for quite a ways. The wind was getting colder, and soon the tower came in sight.

Zivilan did, however, notice the tower, and she shifted back to human form. Although she still had the drowsy feeling, the girl was now attempting to fight it. Realization dawned that she had come for a reason. That's why the drowsy feeling was there, so that she would head towards this place without knowing. Ivi sat down abruptly, and the strange feeling fled. Blinking her golden eyes in astonishment, Ivi looked up at the tower. The grey stone and old look made it look weak, but it also promised fun. Zivilan leaped to her feet and did a frontward hand-spring and flipped in the air before landing lightly on the steps. The shapeshifter then began her journey to the top. With her mind still recovering from the strange drowsiness, she didn't think about whether or not it was dangerous. Only how much fun she could have there.

Adsero - June 15, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
Adsero froze as she heard someone approaching. She had been inside the tower for shelter purposes and had stayed an extra day for lack of anything else to do. The tower was her home away from home, a roof when it rained and she couldn't get anywhere else. For many it gave off an odd creepy feeling, for others it drew them in. She didn't notice any feeling here but did find it odd that she was always bumping into someone odd here. Recently she had encountered a shapeshifter, vampire, and a minitaur. She wondered who climbed the steps this time and whether they would be friend of foe. Carefully hiding her cloak and weapons behind a pile of rubble, she made use of her guardian abilities and shifted into a cat. Though her cat form was always odd in appearence, being a strange color of redish orange, she thought she would find less initial trouble in the form of a animal. People, no matter how evil, tended to leave small animals alone if they weren't bothering them. If she found the person to be friendly, she would change back into a human form. Silently, Adsero sat in front of the door, awaiting visitors.

Zivilan - June 15, 2005 01:57 AM (GMT)
Zivilan stopped walking as a strange-colored cat came into view. She half-smiled and walked over to the cat. Ivi, being a shapeshifter who had a special love for nature, found it easy to trust the cat. Of course, she didn't know if was someone else in desguise. Ziv stopped a little ways from the odd cat, then knelt to it's level. She didn't want to shift into a cat form for fear of scaring it away. She doubted that she'd find anyone else around here, so the cat was the girl's best bet for someone to keep company with. The drowsiness had cleared away, but Ivi didn't know which way she had come from, so she wasn't going to be leaving this tower too soon. She tilted her head and smiled warmly.

" 'Allo there. How'd you get here? This is a little far from any other creatures..." Ivi blinked and looked out at the empty land around her and the cat. Felines were intelligent animals, so Ivi was sure that it would understand her. Returning her bright golden gaze onto the cat, Zivilan continued to wonder how a creature like this came to be in a place like this. Did animals get strange feelings and come here too? Ivi shook her head to clear the stupid thought. But, being as curious as she was, Ivi was going to find out. If the cat didn't run off then she'd morph into feline-form to talk to it.

Adsero - June 15, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
Adsero meowed. She could speak a scrtchy version of common in this form, but she thought it best not to scare the person away. She tilted her head to the side and followed the person with her eyes, also a redish orange color though because she couldn't change her eye color, not to match her furr. Though it could possibly come back to bite her later, Adsero stayed in cat form. Resisting the urge to clean herself, Adsero stalked back and forth for a minute, taking note of they way this woman looked, spoke, and acted. Finding her to be a friend, or at least not a threat, she stretched and decided to try out her voice, hoping it would be understood. "Lo. Sorry to decieve you. Would you rather a human form?" The grammer was mixed up but it was a bit hard for her to think at the moment. She wondered how her companion would react.

Zivilan - June 15, 2005 03:05 AM (GMT)
When the feline spoke, Zivilan froze and stared blankly at it. Or her, since the voice sounded female. She blinked, continueing to stare from shock. Not shock from the fact that the cat had talked, but that she hadn't realized before that she wasn't a normal cat. Finally the shapeshifter shook herself from her dumbfoundedness and mustered up the rest of her dignity to reply. The first few times it came out as a stutter, but she finally spoke in a way that people... or talking cats... could understand.

" Uh... Deceive....? No, no... a cat form is fine... Unless you prefer human form... Er, my name is Ilan." It sounded pretty stupid, but Ivi was still surprised. She had told the cat-thing her name that she made those who she didn't know whether to trust or not call her. If Ivi came to trust this cat, then perhaps she would let her call her Ivi. Zivilan blinked a few more times before straightening up. Well, that wasn't too awkward... Right. You let strange feelings take you places and this is what happens; you find yourself being startled by talking creatures who pretend to be normal just long enough for you to act dumb. Zivilan thought with a sigh, then looked back down at the creature.

Adsero - June 16, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
"Well, nice to meet you....I guess. I'm Adsero. I'd change, but I forgot how remarkably lazy I am." She yawned and walked over to her things, trying to pull one of her flasks out of her cloak pocket. "Now, you have....several options..." She tugged with her teeth but lost her hold and continued talking. "First off, there's the ever popular Series of Easily Answered Questions." She tried again, and failed again. "Then, there's the slightly-less-popular-but-still-popular-enough-to-have-a-name option of Run Screaming While Leaving Your Money Behind." She turned to look at the visitor then returned to the flask. "You don't look like the type to folow that plan. Then, last but not least, there's the Open The Flask For The Momentairly Handicaped Guardian option, which will probably be followed by the Series Of Easily Answered Questions." She stopped workin on the flask and sat down. "Any of those sound appealing? I'm quite partial to option B and C, but the choice is still yours."

Zivilan - June 16, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
Instead of continueing to stand and stare down at the cat, Zivilan sat with her legs crossed so her neck would stop killing her. She listened in amusement as Adsero listed her options. A grin slowly appeared on her face, and suddenly her hair began to move as if it had a mind of it's own. A little head peeked out, small jade eyes quickly finding the flame-colored cat. The little pixie hopped down to sit on Ivi's shoulder. the green eyes narrowed at Adsero. Who do you think you are, anyway, flame-cat? The little pixie, Zaerylee, said, her voice small but still audible. Zivilan tapped her on the head to silence her, but the shapeshifter's answer wasn't too different.

You'll have to excuse Zae. Although, your choices amuse me. Either you're someone of power, or you're just arrogant. What makes you think I will choose from one of these options? Ivi inquired, raising a brow. There was something unusual about this cat, but Ivi couldn't place what she was feeling. The young woman rested her hands easily in her lap, glancing at Zae to make sure she hadn't gone to do something risky.

Adsero - June 16, 2005 11:44 PM (GMT)
Adsero, who had given in to the urge and started to lick her paw, lifted her head and stared at the pixie and Ilan. "Well, everyone ends up at choice A eventually. People are naturally nosey. I like choise B, but no one ever really follows it. And as for choice C, I'm really thirsty and lacking in oposible thumbs. I'd have gien a choice D, but I lost intrest in thinking up names." She went back to licking herself. After a moment she started hacking and coughing. Finally, a hair ball ploped out of her mouth. "Now that's disgusting." She looked back at Ilan and the pixie, disiding maybe cleaning herself wasn't such a good idea. "I am not arrogant, I just lack tact. And as for power, yeah I've got it but what does it matter? I'd rather you chose an option because you wanted to, not because you fear me or think I'm special or anything." SHe yawned again and curled up on the floor. "If your going to choose, please choose soon."

Zivilan - June 16, 2005 11:56 PM (GMT)
Zivilan at first thought this a joke. Why would she want to do any of those things if she didn't have to..? But then she looked up the stairs before back at the cat and decided that there couldn't be anything up there more interesting than this. So she sighed and gave in. Ivi grabbed the pixie before she could say anything rude, like she knew she was about to. Zae shut her mouth and glared slightly at Zivilan for preventing her fun. The pixie slouched in Ivi's grasp, crossing her arms and putting a pout on her face. Ivi brought her attention back to Adsero.

"Well since I have nothing better to do, I'll choose option C." The shapeshifter said and grabbed the flask, opened it, and handed it over to the cat before awaiting the questions. She was slightly nervous that she wouldn't know the answers, but decided that 'Easily Answered Questions' wouldn't be too hard. And if they were it didn't matter. What would the cat do, attack her for not getting the questions right? Ivi didn't think that would happened, so she relaxed.

Adsero - June 17, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
"YAY! Not quite as good as option B, it it will do." Adsero bit the open end op the flaks and rolled onto her back, using her paws tokeep the bottle up and pouring. When she had emptied it, she rolled back over. "Now for the questions. What are you doing in the tower? Treasure hunting? 'Cause if so, you should leave. I already checked and unless the value of rock suddenly skyrocketed, there's no money here." She sighed and shook her head, ginuenly(sp?) disappointed in the lack of gold. "Oh, I should probably tell you the rules. Ask anything you want and answer as truthfully as possible. Unless the truth is boring, then you can make something up." Adsero smiled, feeling very happy. Yeah, she was weird and tended to freak people out, but she liked to have fun and she enjoyed meeting knew people, even if they tried to kill her and she ended up setting them on fire. She hoped she wouldn't have to grill this one, since she had picked Adsero's second favorite option. The ones who picked option B were never much for conversation.

(I apologize for typos and for the words I can say but I can't spell ^^......and for the fact that Adsero's a little crazy lol)

Wei the Blade - June 17, 2005 12:18 AM (GMT)
Enrai was in a good mood today. Nothing to worry about, and nothing on his mind, as he flew through the skies. At the moment, he traveled in his hawk form. In the distance, he spotted a large blackened tower, petruding from the green fields. Ahh... The Ancient Tower. I suppose it would be nice to pay a visit there. It has been long since the last time I had come." He thought to himself, as he slowly glided down. Though, he heard a woman's shout something. "Yay!" it was Enrai made out of it. "What is a woman doing here?" Enrai thought to himself, aloud. As he drifted closer to the ground, he spotted a women at the entrance of the tower. "Just my luck..." The guardian said to himself, as he prepared to land. Enrai held his talons out, and perched himself on the woman's shoulders. Though as he looked around, it was not this woman who had shouted earlier, but the cat. The guardian was quick to realize it as Adsero, the Fire Guardian. He had landed on the woman's shoulder in the middle of Adsero's mindless rambling, and continued to listen with interest.

Zivilan - June 17, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
Zivilan was startled when a hawk came to land on her shoulder. Zaerylee jumped up and fluttered over to the hawk, jittering about how that was her spot, and the hawk wasn't allowed there. Zivilan quickly and automatically grabbed the pixie again to quiet her. Ivi was getting used to it now. She stared at the hawk for a few moments, wondering if it was a normal hawk or someone like the cat. If it was a normal hawk, why would it have landed on her shoulder? Ivi closed her eyes and sighed. This travel was truely becoming interesting. Finally she opened her eyes again and made sure to keep a firm grip on her pixie while she talked.

"I'm not sure why I came to the tower. It wasn't my choice, really. I just... ended up here." Ivi said in reply to Adsero before changing her attention to the hawk. "I don't see why a normal hawk would land on a human's shoulder, so who are you?" She asked suspiciously. The day was full of talking animals, she might as well shift into an animal herself. That way it would be a trio of them. Why not? The day could hardly get any stranger.

Adsero - June 17, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
The hair on Adsero back raised and she hissed at Enrai. "What do you want?" It was no secret she wasn't exactly on good terms with a few people. Mostly, it was their fault. She stopped hissing and her hair lowered but she still looked at him evily. "This, Ilan, is the guardian of the Sun." She resited the urge to eat him while in her cat form. She couldn't tell if it was her dislike, or because he was a bird. Either way, she managed to stay very, very still. She was half hoping the pixie would attack him. Maybe he would eat it and she would get caught in his throat. "If I had known I was going to get this much company, I would have stayed at the shrine." She was almost calm by now. She still have the urge to rip out his throat and hang him on the wall, but she was going to go ahead and say that was because he was a bird, even though that bird was a hawk. She didn't like to think of herself as a violent person, though it was always much more fun to smash someone over the head then to buy then a beer.

(I can't remember if she hates enrai, but I'm pretty sure she hates just about every character you've made except wart)

Wei the Blade - June 17, 2005 12:46 AM (GMT)
Enrai laughed at Adsero. "You are all talk, Adsero. If you wish to fight me, then I welcome you to try. But to challenge me, is to ask for death." Enrai stated with a smirk. He shifted his gaze to the woman. "As Adsero had stated, I am Enrai. But unlike Adsero, I am not a fool." The guardian added. Enrai hopped off her shoulder, and wobbled onto the grass, where he continued to morph back into his regular form... an arch angel. All six of his wings shining brilliantly in the sun, along with his blackened armor, and sword. The words Orthae Rul in crimson along the blade. "Adsero..." Enrai started to say, "I am tired of your weak threats. I would enjoy to see how strong the guardian of fire is." The guardian challenged.

((ugh... my posts feel so short compared to Famine's and Mazzer's.))

Zivilan - June 17, 2005 12:53 AM (GMT)
Zivilan blinked, her grasp on the pixie weakened. The little pixie was undaunted by the fact that the hawk was the Guardian of the Sun. She was about to tell him off again before he left and changed into his normal form. The pixie then settled happily onto Ivi's shoulder. Ivi blinked again, deciding that she was wrong, the day could get stranger. Talking animals that turned out to be guardians who apparantly had a grudge against each other, and may now be about to fight. Throw in the fact of the irony that she had met them in the middle of no where, and you get the weirdest day of your life.

Zivilan sighed and rested her hands idly in her lap. Zae was too content with having her shoulder-position back to do anything risky, so Ivi didn't worry too much about her. She also decided that she wouldn't interfere with the Guardians' problems, so she said nothing, but merely watched. The sorceress wondered how Adsero would react to Enrai's challenge. Two guardians in one day... oiy. She thought with a sigh.

Adsero - June 17, 2005 01:13 AM (GMT)
"All talk? I barely said anything thank you." She shifted back into her human form and drew out her sword. "Face it, you a hot head and your just looking to fight. Well, I've got no problems with it. Bring it on, if you think you can handle it." Adsero cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders. She didn't think she would lose, not to the likes of him anyway. "Ilan, Guardian fights tend to get.....violent. I apologize in advance if I burn you by accident." A faint firey glow outlined her and her sword. "You know what our problem is Enrai? You're too full of yourself. It's going to get you killed one of these days. Let's see if it's today." She sent a rush of fire at him, remembering to alter it so that it left Ilan alone. She didn't think she would remember every time but hopefully that wouldn't matter.

(I thought we were inside.....are we inside or outside, for future reference?)

Wei the Blade - June 17, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
((Uhhh... I just skimmed through the previous posts, so sure, outside will be a lot easier for me :D))

"You may be right Adsero, I may be a bit egotistical, but atleast I can back it up." He stated simply. Enrai smiled, noticing that Adsero was trying not to harm the woman. Though Enrai was tempted, he would not use her to his advantage via human shield. Instead Enrai discared the flames away with his ademantium shield with ease. "You insult me Adsero." He stated, referring to the weak fire blast that she used against him. Enrai held out his sword, igniting it in a white flame. The guardian lunged at Adsero, with his sword held high, bringing it down, aiming for the guardian's head. He held his shield at the mid left part of his torso.

Sharzela - June 17, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
Sharzela strolled slowly, moving towards the Ancient Tower. She had looked in on all of the places she knew Adsero could be, this was her last option so it followed that Adsero would be here. The scenery in this area was beautiful and she always liked coming here, it gave her a sense of the utmost peace. She rarely experienced that sort of feeling these days.
Suddenly she heard a sound, moving to the other side of the tower; she saw a site she had not beheld for a… long time.
Two Guardians locked in battle, powers in full blaze. The power had been amazing, but terribly destructive. The Guardians had had no thought for the village bellow the hill on which they had been fighting. The town, which had been her home for quite a long time, was destroyed. Both Guardians had eventually stopped conceding that they where of equal power, but…

Sharzela suddenly noticed someone standing on the side, watching with a slight look of surprise on her face, a pixie on her shoulder. Sharzela was suddenly filled with rage, all consuming rage. Her form flickered; it looked as if there was something above her. A Dragon, neck extended in rage, beautiful and yet dark - Black with slight undertones of purple and those freaky white eyes – flickered for a second above a pale young lady. Sharzela shook her head in confusion and began to move towards the fight. Calling out “Adsero, Enrai – where had she gotten the name of this Guardian? - stop! There is no need for a fight, we all know of your powers, anyway they are too similar. Both are fire based and you could not do much real damage to each other, but you could damage this place of peace. Don’t doubt me, I… remember…” Sharzela stopped realizing all that she had just said and looking slightly wide eyed. She watched, hoping it would work.

(Sorry for ruining the fight, you can disregard my advice and carry on if you like)

Zivilan - June 17, 2005 11:24 PM (GMT)
(( Sorry I had to leave so soon yesterday, a friend came over and this morning we went to get our hair cut... and I just got back. But not for long, I'm just replying to things before I have to leave again. And sorry if this is short. ))

Zivilan hopped backwards a bit, to gain distance between her and the battling Guardians. She didn't want to accidently get hit with the fire they were using, but since her reflexes were so fast anyway, she didn't think she'd would've. But there was no harm in being precautious. The fight had only just begun, but Ivi was amazed by their power. That was true magic, and Ivi wished she had had more training in the way's of sorcerers, but sadly things hadn't worked that way. Ivi blocked the memory with ease. She looked at her shoulder to make sure Zae was there, but the pixie had vanished. Ivi's eyes widened in astonishment and looked around wildly, noticing a pale girl only a fair distance away. The shapeshifter only have listened to the pale girl try and stop the guardians, but her real attention was fixed on trying to find Zae before she did something stupid.

A small form darted easily around the Guardian's attacks. The pixie stopped in a position where she could see both of them easily. Being a pixie, she could control one element, and her's was earth. Zae had become fairly skilled with it, since she often used it in her tricks. The pixie's eyes began to glow green and a vine snaked up between the two fighters, weaving around in the air as if to throw them off concentration. Zae giggled in delight and waited to see their expressions.

Zivilan saw the vine and immediately reconized it as Zae's work. Her fists clenched and she growled inarticulatly, but resisted the urge to shout at her pixie. The sorceress swore inwardly and glared at Zae, whose fast-beating wings gave off a shimmer that gave away her position. After this was over, Zivilan was going to have a looooong talk with her familiar about messing around in other people's business. Especially Guardians and Gods.

Wei the Blade - June 22, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
Enrai smiled. "I control fire and light. Adsero is only fire." He said to the woman, who seemed to have just arrived. "Meaning Adsero is weaker than I." Enrai stated simply. The guardian looked at the two. "I suggest you both to run, things are about to get a lot worse." He said, smiling. A small breeze started to pick up, eventually getting stronger, and hotter. So hot, the grass began to set to flames. The winds eventually became so hot, they turned into flames themselves. The root that the pixie had summoned was set to flames and turned into ashes in a matter of seconds. Enrai then extended his hand, and an orb of light appeared hovering over his palm. He sheathed his sword, and did the same with his left hand. "So Adsero... shall we continue?" He asked, readying himself to throw both orbs at her.

((Wow, my post is like 1/3 the size of your guys'. :'( ))

Sharzela - June 24, 2005 08:31 AM (GMT)
Sharzela listened to the conceited Guardian as he continued to expand his ego; she realised that the tower had been lost the minute they met. Her face turned grim as she told herself not to cry, she turned slowly to Adsero and said “the tower is lost, I will aid you if there is need”. Sharzela`s voice was filled with a deep sadness as she turned slowly away from the Guardians. She walked slowly through the beauty and nature of the surrounding area, sad not only that this beautiful place would be turned to a wasteland, but also sad because she would lose the one places where she felt at peace. The Guardians where watching each other, the other lady was looking away, but if anyone had been looking the would have been amazed; Sharzelas` form flickered slowly, sometimes a dragon, sometimes a pale and troubled girl, but in both forms a dark-purple necklace, shaped like a dragon, glowed.

((sorry its so short…))

Adsero - June 29, 2005 11:12 PM (GMT)
Adsero raised her eyebrow at the heat, wondering what the point was. "Did you make it hotter to get them to back off, or did your brain finally pop under the strain of your ego? If we don't continue this now, you'll only try to continue it somewhere else so let's finish this here, where there are few people." She turned to her friend as she spoke about the tower and nodded. "I am sorry if we destroy something you care so much about but don't forget that things can be built as well as destroyed. The plants will grow back and the tower is already half in ruin. The animals are not stupid, they will flee and survive." She smiled and then turned back to Enrai, egear to just get this over with. "You're blinded by your own love for yourself. You are too stupid and shallow to realize that your fires can't touch me and your light can only blind me. If you were truly powerful, you would not be throwing a fit to try and prove it. You are weak Enrai and I will not let you win this day."

(sorry I was gone, it's mostly a dialogue post, and it's kinda short. I'll scheck back tomorrow)

Zivilan - June 30, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
As it grew hotter, Zivilan was forced to back away. She had no spell to defend against this. Seeing her pixie morning over the loss of her vine that hadn't worked as she had hopped, Ziv motioned wildly for her to follow. She didn't want Zae melting in the heat. After all, she was only a small pixie. She couldn't stand this heat anymore than Ivi could. Ivi listened to the guardians talking, wondering what in the begining had caused them to dislike each other so much. As Zae perched on her shoulder and glared sourly at the fighters, Ivi continued her backing away. Part of her wanted to make them stop, but the other part wanted to watch... Only she couldn't watch if the heat stayed. Finally, not being able to take it, Ziv turned and ran. Soon she got to a point where the heat was less and stopped, turning to watch.

Suddenly Zae jumped into the air, almost like she wanted to go and attack. Zivilan quickly grabbed her tiny wings to keep her from moving. Zae twisted, still upset that her vine had been destroyed. "Let me go! I'll show them what my vines can do! Burn 'em, dare they? Unwise! Unwise! The little pixie shouted, her voice so small that it could only be heard by Zivilan. Ivi sighed and let go of the pixie, knowing she wouldn't go anywhere. Zaerylee looked surprised at being let go, but as Ivi predicted she didn't move. Finally the little pixie floated to the ground, her look dour. Ivi felt for her, but didn't want her interefering again. It was too dangerous. Maybe the Guardians could stand each others attacks, but Zaerylee and Zivilan could not. The two sighed and watched the battle.
