I just added a new forum, called Character Reviews & Development, into the Character Related section of the OOC board. I thought it would be a good place for members to get advice from others on the quality of their characters, how to improve upon their descriptions or histories, and to ask how to develop them during their time in Arda. I think this could really be of use to new members wanting to know what we think of the character they made, and to make sure they're doing things that make sense within the rules. I've made sure to add in that forum's information box that it is for constructive criticisms, not insults, so everyone should be respectful, even if they're mentioning something they don't quite like about a character being reviewed.

Looks great! --- but don't you think the location of the sub-forum may be too hidden for new folks to see? I was thinking that it may be more visible together with the first set of categories. Might also be a good idea to have a link attached to the character creation thread too!

I think it's fine where it is, but it is a good idea to stick a link to it in the pages that talk about making your character. :yes:

Sounds good, though some tensions could come, depending on how some members recieve the comments they get from others ^^

But this is a good step in improving character designs overall... nice idea!

I think it sounds like a great idea...lord knows I've been developing four of my current five charas on here for a few years, and it would help newer people with newer charas cut that time by a lot by getting some help from people experienced at character development. I'll probably be popping by there a bit myself ^.^

I really like this idea, and I'm glad it was put forward. It seems like a great place to seek and give friendly advice.
