Title: Cult of Shadows
Description: Part 1 of 13, anyone welcome

Rallika - October 28, 2006 01:46 PM (GMT)
Everything was at peace in Lomedor. The economy was booming higher than ever before, the citizentry was at top loyalty. Everything is perfect...until the king was reported to be assassinated. With no heir in place the city government collapsed. That was a month ago. The effects are still devastating the populace. Now it seems that whoever commited the regicide is, or perhaps are, back to finish the conquering.

Rallika woke up in a tent nearby the city on a cliff. He yawned and stretched his arms and legs. He got his armour on and his swords sheathed. Something was odd today. The sky was growing black and red, which was strange because it was 8 in the morning. An explosion was seen at the southern wall, facing in Rallika's direction. Leaving his things behind Rallika dashed like he's never have before to the city, hoping he would get there in time.

He arrived but the view was horrendous. In but 30 minutes entire houses and buildings were nothing but rubble. Fires were sweeping all over south side and the surviving buildings. Soldiers were running everywhere and screaming "Find those necromancers! They must die!" "Necromancers? That sounds familiar." The soldiers that passed Rallika were running back the other way. Demons were close behind and one of them saw Rallika and turned to him. Rallika drew both swords and attacked. He dispatched the demon quickly but two more descended. "Not again!" Rallika ran past the demons and headed toward the arena. There Rallika saw a black hooded figure. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" "Whoever said it was just me?" Rallika was confused at this comment but understood when 11 more hooded figures appeared They all turned to Rallika and drew scythes. Demons gathered everywhere around the arena and sealed off all escape routes. Not knowing this Rallika stepped too far back and bumped into a demon. It snarled and slashed at Rallika. Rallika ducked just in time and faced the hooded figures. On the ground a strange symbol appeared under them. Rallika muttered"Trapped" "We are the Shadow Cult. It is us who will rule Arda and those fools up on the moon will never know, especially since we've been tampering with their little war. Now since you have discovered us we will simply have to kill you and make you an undead." "Do you know who I am?" "Why yes we do, you killed our 13th member whom I believe is your DarkSide correct?" Rallka was astounded at their information accuracy "How do you know this?" "Exalted Leader, we're wasting time talking to this simpleton, perhaps we..." "Yes, you're right." Rallika frowned and wondered "Why are they here, at the arena? I have no idea" "Now you will learn the full power of the Shadow Cult. Arise my pet and show this traitor no mercy!" Their leader swung its arm to the side and a huge demon emerged behind them. In an instant the Shadow Cult disappeared and Rallika was left facing this monstrosity alone...that's what he thinks. The demons behind him became distracted by something behind them then some of them died. Rallika smiled and helped whoever this is out. Just as the last demon was killed Rallika saw the newcomer. "Glad you're here. No time to explain but I need your help with this huge thing, can you help?"

Darkfire - October 28, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
He never actually knew why, but Darkfire hated necromancers. Perhaps because he was formerly a soul without a true body, simply sharing one with another being as an embodiment of all their darkness, a situation which had been caused and cured by necromancy, from which he now drew some of his power.

Nonetheless, soldiers running about had alerted him to the presence of some necromancers in the area, and the red-, bristly-furred fox-boy couldn't allow them to just run around here without him knowing. Thus, he rushed over to where they seemed to be headed, smirking evilly.

When he got to the scene, he was sorely disappointed, though. All that seemed to be here were demons, not to mention he seemed to have previously been in one of the only places that wasn't steadily burning down. Looking around for a moment, Darkfire took his hands out of his pockets, where they normally were for good reason; ever since he'd obtained a body of his own, they'd been surrounded by dark, necromantic flames, allowing him to re-animate creatures that had previously passed away. Doing so, he returned four soldiers to his own service, who began to strike down the demons before him as he tore his claws through the only two that they'd been unsuccessful in killing. Left behind now was only some sort of dragon-like creature and a larger demon, the dragon-like creature of whom called out.

"Glad you're here. No time to explain but I need your help with this huge thing, can you help?"

"I suppose," Darkfire said in a cold, somewhat growling voice, looking up to the demon with his piercing eyes as he returned his hands to his pockets. Well, if it was demons, then he'd call his own. "Ifrit, handle this for me," he spoke, to what seemed like nobody in particular, though his words were met by what seemed to be a large, heavy-set, orange-skinned human wreathed in flames, with bright red hair down to its waist, a jutting jaw, and long horns sticking out from its forehead. The large demon looked moderately tough, but Ifrit was near invulnerable except for attacks from wind or water, making him likely tougher.

Rallika - November 3, 2006 09:44 AM (GMT)
Rallika saw the creature the newcomer summoned. Rallika jumped to his side and got his weapons ready "Before we start do you mind telling me your name?" Before Rallika received a response the demon attacked the creature apparently called Ifrit. Luckily Ifrit was invulnrable against this attack. Rallika smiled and charged.

Darkfire - November 3, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
"Before we start do you mind telling me your name?" the creature asked before charging at the demon along with Ifrit, Darkfire's personal fire demon.

"Name's Darkfire, and you'd do well to remember it," he said, in the hopes that the name would be held in the creature's mind, and perhaps passed on. Darkfire loved nothing better than for others to fear him, and to know him by sight and name. Of course, right now there was this demon to deal with, and the annoying necromancers to find...he'd work on spreading his own brand of terror a bit later.

Rallika - November 4, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
"Darkfire eh? I'll remember that." The demon swung at Rallika with its fist and collided, sending him flying. He landed on his feet and skidded backward. "We need to work together. That and a strong weapon. I'm just too small against this 10 foot demon." The demon amed its palm at Darkfire and fired a dark beam at him.

Chrono - November 4, 2006 09:42 AM (GMT)
Chrono was in a deep slumber. Her dreams filled with things only a child would think about. Everything was going fine. Then there was a loud explosion. She awoke not only to that but to the innkeeper shaking her.

Miss please get up! There isn't much time before they get here. He said while doing a poor job of hiding his fear. Chrono shook her head in a motion to shake off the sleep. The situation hadn't hit her yet but as she stood she saw the demon creeping behind him.
"Sir look out!" She yelled to him. But it was too late and the demon ran him though with its weapon. It cried out victoriously as the corps of the man fell to the ground. With fire in her eyes she held her right hand out and with her telekinetic powers pulled her ligh(*cough* I mean) her sword to her and struck the demon down. She took one final look at the now dead man and then took off.

She rushed outside and saw the one thing see didn't want to see when she wakes up. The south wall was nothing but rubble and the nearby buildings were on fire. All she could do was sigh and say "Not again. I need a break." Just then Chrono saw a black hooded figure from the corner of her eyes. It seemed to be alone and could lead her to the ones who caused this. She focused for a second and teleported in front of it.
"Where do you think your going?" The figure responded by summoning a giant scythe. Chrono smiked and responded by going into her fighting stance. "Very well. If all you know is violence." She said as they charged. Their weapons locked which prompted the figure to boot her in the gut. She held her gut as the air returned to her and as she got up the figure slamed the end of its weapon in the middle of her head causing her to fall back. She struggled to stand back up. Her vision all just one big blur. She shook it off in time to see her enemy weapon held high and ready to make the fatal blow. She held off the attack with one hand and once again locked weapons with the unknown. This time she placed her free hand on its chest and blasted it with holy. The figure straggered back in obvious pain just before it vanished. "What the hell was that? I couldn't have killed it with that one spell." She said as she looked around for any trace of the figure.

Feeling that it would be best to forget about the fight for now she hurryed off to fight more demons. It wasn't very hard to find them but the numbers they came in was scary. "We need to work together. That and a strong weapon. I'm just too small against this 10 foot demon." Someone familiar said in the distance. After finishing off the rest of the demons that were in her way she turned to see who it was. It was Rallika! "Rallika hang on buddy I'm comming!" *Crack* As she ran to meet with Rallika the black hooded figure appeared from nowhere and bashed her in the face with the end of its weapon. She literally fliped in the air and landed on her stomach. She stood up and glared at the figure who looked like it was having the time of its life. If it only knew how much it would pay for that. Chrono is normally calm and collected. However this person just pushed her buttons enough to make her pull out one of her best spells. "Dodge this!" She raised her free hand into the air and it began to glow. Power began to build up and the glow grew more intense. "Meteor!" A beam of light flew into the sky and beyond and a great meteor appeared in the sky and made its way toward the ground.

Darkfire - November 4, 2006 04:21 PM (GMT)
"Darkfire eh? I'll remember that," the dragon-like creature said, before being sent flying by the large demon's fist. "We need to work together. That and a strong weapon. I'm just too small against this 10 foot demon."

"Rallika hang on buddy I'm comming!" Darkfire heard a girl's voice call out, and glanced over to where it seemed to be coming from, glancing back to the large demon to see Ifrit block a blast of darkness from it. Ever faithful to the end was his fire spirit...but the end wasn't now, as it seemed to shrug off the blast almost like it was nothing. Darkness wouldn't harm it...it was a demon after all. And being born of fire, only water and, to an extent, wind could really harm it.

Taking his attention away from the demon again, however, he felt some strong, partly fire-based energy building up, and looked up into the sky to see a meteor descending toward the city. Perfect...he wasn't sure if it was the work of the necromancers, or someone else, nor was he sure who it was he just heard earlier, but all these things going on at once were beginning to bug him.

"Ifrit! Stop fooling around and finish it off already!" Darkfire commanded, glaring at his fire demon, which nodded and began blazing up, making it look like an apparition of fire as opposed to a strange-looking human. Whatever was really going on right now, he'd find out as soon as this demon was out of the way.

Rallika - November 4, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
"Chrono!" Rallika turned to DarkFire "I'm sure you and Ifrit can handle this, I got to help Chrono!" Rallika ran to Chrono when he noticed one of those hooded necromancers were there. "You! Get away from her!" The necromancer knocked Chrono back with a wicked scythe. Chrono used a spell Rallika never heard of but before Rallika realised what it was he charged at the figure. The figure got out a sapphire and lightning arced at Rallika. The lightning hit and froze him in place. "I'd love to stay and chat but I have a date with the new heir if you know what I mean." The necromancer disappeared and the spell on Rallika dissapated. He shook it off and saw what Chrono had casted. A meteor was crashing down upon Lomedor. "Uh Chrono, would it be okay if you stop that meteor?"

Chrono - November 5, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
"Uh Chrono, would it be okay if you stop that meteor?" Rallika said to her. She looked at him with a blank look on her face. Then while looking up she saw the meteor and remembered. "Oh yea now I remember." She said before snaping her fingers. The meteor came to a sudden halt and green lights raced across its surface before it finally vanished. "Sorry about that." Chrono said to Rallika. "What did that guy mean Ral? What ever he ment it didn't seem like a very good thing."

Rallika - November 5, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Rallika gave Chrono a stern and worried look. "I think he means he's going to kill the new heir." Rallika turned his head to the palace. "Come on, first we have got to destroy this demon, then stop the assassination." Rallika ran to Darkfire "Listen, after we finish this demon off he have to get to the palace and stop an assassination against the new heir."

Chrono - November 14, 2006 05:00 AM (GMT)
(I guess Darkfire isn't going to post)

She passed by Rallika and swung her sword through the demon. She casted her Holy spell at it and it vanished in a flash of holy energy. When she turned back to Rallika this Darkfire person wasn't there anymore. "We have to hurry. If what you suspect is true then they could already be there. Lets move!" She said as she began to run.

Rallika - November 14, 2006 08:06 AM (GMT)
"We have to hurry. If what you suspect is true then they could already be there. Let's move!" Rallika nodded and dashed to the newly built palace.

Upon arriving all hell had broken loose. Soldiers were fighting demons of all shapes and sizes. Each of them, however, were wielding a strange sword that sliced through any armor. "Ignore the lessers. Find the heir!" Rallika saw two passageways able to go through. Many others have been blocked off by debris and dead guards. "You take the left, I'll go right!" He ran through the right passage, killing any demons that got in his way.

Darkfire - November 14, 2006 02:53 PM (GMT)
(sorry for the delay in posting, been busy)

After a few moments, the creature left, asking him and his fire demon to take care of the demon. Watching him leave, Darkfire glanced over to Ifrit for a moment, who seemed to have things quite well under control, and appeared to be gaining the advantage, and wandered off after Rallika to see what he was doing.

Then while he was walking, someone rushed by him, apparently not noticing him, eliminating the losing demon with a thrust of her blade and a flash of holy light, which he couldn't help but wince from. After all, he was purely evil, nothing else...even from that distance it stung slightly.

"We have to hurry. If what you suspect is true then they could already be there. Lets move!" the girl said, presumably to Rallika, breaking out in a run.

"Ignore the lessers. Find the heir!" Darkfire heard Rallika respond, and jogged off after the two, followed by the slightly confused Ifrit. "You take the left, I'll go right!"

Well, since they didn't seem to notice him at the time, then he'd do things his own way. "Ifrit, go after Rallika...you find those pathetic necromancers, you better notify me immediately," Darkfire commanded his fire elemental, which nodded and rushed down the path on the right while Darkfire went down the path on the left, catching up to the girl in due time. "Hope you plan on telling me what exactly is going on with these necromancers, because since I'm in this now, then I think I have a right to know."

Chrono - November 15, 2006 06:06 AM (GMT)
(Ok)

"You take the left, I'll go right." Rallika told her. She ran down the left passage. However her passage was blocked by guards. Upon looking at them closer she realized that their bodys were taken over by demons. "Get out of my way." She told them as she they started to run at her. "Have it your way then." She pointed her hand at them. "Enervation!" She yelled as black energy shot them. The demons fell to the ground in pain. She ran by them. After a long run with little hardship she came across the door to the throne room. She heard foot steps down the hall and looked right. "I guess we took different paths to get to the same place. guess I'll have to wait for you Rallika." She said. At that moment the fearful thoughts of the new heir attacked her senses. In a hurry she tried to open the door but found it locked. "Crap this isn't good. Sorry Rallika but I can't wait for you." She said as she teleported into the room. There were many people who looked like the man she saw. One of them held a scythe against the neck of the young boy who was the heir. Oh no you don't!" She teleported herself by the heir and as soon as she was there, grabbed him and teleported them to the other end of the room."Miss what are we going to do now?" The heir said to her as one of them moved closer to them. "I can't fight all of them, but I can't let them get their hands on the kid. Guess I don't really have a choice." She thought as she held the boy. "I'm going to send you outside with my friends. I'll handle things here." Chrono pulled a fake smile and teleported the boy outside the throne room. She got into a battle stance and waited. "It seems a rat has found a way to get this far. One of the figures said as it pointed to her. It turned to another one of the figures and said, "I'm sure you already know her so I'll let you deal with this." The black figure pulled out some kind of stone and vanished. The figure that was left pulled out a sapphire and lightning danced around the door. It formed some kind of shield that prevented anyone from getting in or out. "And now we finish this." He said as he called his scythe. "So we do." She said as she charged. She quickly gaind the upper hand as she knocked his scythe out of his hand. She swung at his head so she could end this early. however he seemed to pull another one out in order to block it. It didn't matter to her seeing as they were even when it came to skill. They locked blades and just like before he kicked her in the gut. She backed up in order to regain her senses. He rushed at her and bashed her in the head with the end of his scythe. She fell down and got back up. However as soon as she had He threw his scythe and its tainted blade went through her stomach. She gasped and he walked over and pulled it out slowly so she would feel the blade being removed. once out she fell to the floor as darkness started to take her. As she passed out she thought she heard somthing.

Rallika - November 15, 2006 08:14 AM (GMT)
Rallika ran through the right passage, which surprisingly was clear. He took a left and saw a dead end. He saw a ladder and climbed it with ease. Unknown to him demons were emerging behind him.

Rallika worked his way to the throne room and saw the heir outside. "Are you alright?" "You're companion! She's in there!" "This is just perfect! She should've waited!" Rallika was really getting ticked off and attempted to burst open the doors. When he hit them a barrier of some kind knocked him back. Rallika puuled out Raku's Bane and began smashing at the door. He finally got a hole big enough through the barrier and the door to get through.

Rallika was shocked to see a gaping whole in Chrono's chest and one of the Shadow Cult members about to steal her soul. "Back off!" Rallika threw Raku's Bane at the figure and it whacked the sapphire out of his hand. "At last. You have arrived. Now I can make things interesting." The figure's sapphire zoomed back into his hand and was pointed at Chrono. "Don't even think about it!" It was too late. The sapphire blasted dark energies into Chrono and she became possessed. Realising what had happened Rallika let go of his weapon and dropped onto his knees. "So you have feelings for this girl." Rallika's eyebrows shot up."What?" "It doesn't matter. Besides haven't you forgotten someone?" "I don't like where this is going." The throne room doors disintergrated and revealed the heir pinned against the walls by soul-sucking demons. Rallika gasped and saw what their plan was. "You tricked us!"[color] Rallika stood upright and gripped his weapon hard. [COLOR=purple]"Indeed I did, and it was a master plan too. So, what will it be? The girl, the heir or you?" Understanding what he meant Rallika replied "Neither." "Then all of you shall die! Chrono, kill him!"

Chrono - November 15, 2006 09:05 AM (GMT)
"Then all of you shall die! Chrono, kill him!" The man had said. Her body complied with the order and used a combination of deadly attacks upon Rallika. It used her powers with much greater skill than Chrono herself ever had.

Meanwhile In her mind:

The true Chrono Laid by A river next to a wonderful Field. It was the most peace she had gotten since she had been here. She grew tired as she lay there. Her eyes started to close. "Don't fall asleep!" Someone had said. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. Nobody was there. She looked around some more and saw someone comming out of the shadows. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" She asked the figure but somthing told her that she already knew the answer. As the shadows that covered the figure left she gasped at what she saw. It was herself! "I am yourself even if you don't remember. If you don't then thats good. She looked at her copy. "You mean that you have the memories that I lost? She asked her. "Yes but they are for you to find out on your own. If you ever do. Right now you friend needs your help. So wake up Chrono!" She tried her best, but... "I-Its not working! I can't get back to my body!

Darkfire - November 15, 2006 05:12 PM (GMT)
Glaring at the situation as a whole, him and his fire demon both apparently being ignored, he took his hands finally out of his pockets, revealing a dark flame ever-burning around them, taking things in as they were going on. So Rallika's friend seemed to be being taken over, there was something about some 'heir', a necromancer it seemed was here, and everyone was ignoring him. Big mistake.

"Alright then...if there's anyone here that doesn't wanna die, somebody better start telling me what's going on. Now," Darkfire commanded, something which couldn't rightfully be taken lightly. Beginning to blaze with a dark aura similar to the flames burning on his hands, four dead soldiers nearby began to rise up, weapons and armor still fully available for their use, their bodies becoming slighlty more decayed as they stood fully. Immediately they rushed at speeds one wouldn't think possible for such corpses, their normal running speeds while they were still alive, striking down the demons that had been holding the girl at the far wall.

Then of course the next target would be the necromancer himself, or whatever or whoever he was; Darkfire didn't care at this point. Bursting through the back wall, his fire demon Ifrit charged directly at the man, Darkfire glancing over to the girl rushing Rallika, hoping to get some answers from one of them.

Rallika - November 17, 2006 09:41 AM (GMT)
"Darkfire, thank god you're here! I'll tell you about all this after this guy is dead!" Rallka saw Darkfire kill the demons holding back the heir against the wall. The heir dropped down on his feet and ran off to get the guards. Chrono unleashed a devastating series of attacks on Rallika. He blocks all of them except the last one, which slashed at his shoulder. "Damnit Chrono, keep it together! This isn't you! Wake up!" Rallika threw a punch at Chrono's face. Ifrit charged at the Shadow Cult member but he merely side stepped and fired purple lightning at Darkfire.

Darkfire - November 17, 2006 01:36 PM (GMT)
More of that ridiculous purple lightning...glaring slightly, Darkfire sidestepped it, then smirked evilly. So he wanted to take him on directly since the other two seemed to be busy, eh? That would be his own problem, and if Darkfire had anything to say about it, it would quickly prove to be a mistake. He wasn't one to be taken lightly, and he had plenty of resources at his disposal. But first...

"So you wanna take me on while those two are busy, huh?" Darkfire mocked, Ifrit returning to his side, along with the now-undead soldiers. "Sounds fine to me, if you have a death wish...though I would rather like to know what's going on. If you tell me, I might even spare you," he continued, smirking widely. Keyword there: might. And he also didn't say anything about the other two, or his minions. One probably wouldn't think that much about it, but he was only talking about himself personally and physically, not anyone around him.

Rallika - November 19, 2006 12:03 AM (GMT)
"Well, since you are involved, I might as well, since we will have to destroy you." "Oh shut up! I'll tell." Rallika kicked Chrono's chest but became frozen. "Now that he is dealt with for now, we can begin." More black hooded figures appeared, equal to 12. "We are the Shadow Cult. This world will be ours and all who resist will either cease and serve us or die. And you my friend, only have the option to die." Rallika shook off the freezing spell and charged, morphing while he roared "Scum! It is you who will die!"

Darkfire - November 19, 2006 04:30 PM (GMT)
"Well, since you are involved, I might as well, since we will have to destroy you," the man said.

"Oh shut up! I'll tell." Rallika shouted, kicking at the girl, Chrono's, chest, then apparently becoming frozen.

"Now that he is dealt with for now, we can begin," Onaga continued, then met by twelve more black-cloaked figures.

"We are the Shadow Cult. This world will be ours and all who resist will either cease and serve us or die. And you my friend, only have the option to die," they spoke. Then, apparently shaking off the slight paralysis, or whatever it was, Rallika charged them.

"Scum! It is you who will die!" he shouted, his voice changing partway through.

"Heh...so you think you can kill me?" Darkfire said, still smirking. Then, taking his left hand out of its pocket, the hand itself surrounded by a faint dark flame, he pointed at one of the cloaked figures. "Come on...you first."

Rallika - November 22, 2006 06:57 AM (GMT)
Rallika jumped high then came crashing down. His axe came down on his adversaries but missed them all. "You, take out these...annoyances. It is time you three faced the full might of the Shadow Cult!" Rallika was hit with a scythe attack while eleven of the Shadow Cult disappeared into darkness, leaving one left. He lifted his sapphire into the air. It began to levitate and glow an eerie purple. Soon the entire room began to shake tremendously and turn jet black. Rallika landed and slid into the wall. He got up and readied Raku's Bane. A strange symbol appeared on the ground as objects that was on the ground melted into the walls. The symbol began to spin and become larger. Soon the entire room was a circular arena and everyone inside in was trapped. The only way to escape was for either side to die.

The Shadow Cult member grabbed his sapphire and pointed it at Chrono. He too rose into the air "I command you, kill them all!"

Chrono - November 22, 2006 07:24 AM (GMT)
"I command you, kill them all!" He said. However she didn't do it. Her eyes came to life and the sword dropped from her hand. "What the hell took you so long?" She said to Rallika as she picked up her sword with shaking hands. Her free hand moved to the wound to her chest and healed it. "Well what did I miss."

(Sorry for the shot post)

Rallika - November 22, 2006 09:09 AM (GMT)
Chrono finally came to her senses. "Long story short, the heir escaped and now we have to kill this guy." Darkness began to envelop the Shadow Cult member's arms. Soon they were completely covered and he fired a strange small beam at Rallika's forehead. "What is happening?" "Haha! You shall be mine!" Rallika fell down on his knees and his hands gripping the sids of his head. "Agh! Get out of my head!" Rallika lost consciousness and collapsed.

"Wh-where am I?" "In your worst nightmare!" Everything focused and Rallika's worst nightmare was staring him right in his face. He yelled and fell down. The Nightmare reared its head up then brang it down on Rallika, piercing his skin. He felt hell and screamed in agony. Everything went black, then he found himself standing and purple flames burned all around him. Then he heard someone say "Kill them."

Rallka got up and morphed. The Shadow Cult member was gone and all he knew was the voice and his mission: to kill Chrono and Darkfire. He roared and charged at Chrono.

Darkfire - November 22, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
Now it seemed that he was being ignored, Chrono had come to, and Rallika now seemed to have fallen under control of this Shadow Cult as Chrono had earlier. Meaning that Darkfire was quickly getting confused and annoyed, something he wasn't going to put up with for much longer.

As his first act, seeing that Rallika was going after Chrono, he sent his pair of undead soldiers over directly in his path, not far from Chrono, slightly decayed swords at the ready. It wasn't that he was intentionally saving either of them, but they had a solution to his current confusion, and they needed to be alive to give it to him. That left the Shadow Cult members it seemed for him to deal with while the other two would be occupied. How annoying...they'd escaped anyway, now that he turned back to them and noticed it. Then was the fact that Rallika had changed forms, which would likely leave his own pitiful undead soldiers to simply be destroyed, not that he much cared.

"The Shadow Cult, huh? Well, if you think you can get away from me, you're sorely mistaken. Ifrit!" Darkfire commanded, and the fire demon nodded, rushing out the hole it had created in the wall earlier to search around while he tried to memorize the scent of the thirteen members. Then he realized that wouldn't completely be necessary...he could track the boy, this 'heir', instead, and so he himself rushed off in the path the boy had taken. "I'm going after these 'Shadow Cult' fools...you two better hurry up if you want a piece of them as well," he called back.

Chrono - December 4, 2006 08:42 AM (GMT)
"I'm going after these 'Shadow Cult' fools...you two better hurry up if you want a piece of them as well," The one known as Darkfire said as he fled through the hole. Her eyes never once moved away from the monster Rallika had turned into but she made a mental note to beat Darkfire when they got out of this. Raising her sword to block the attack Rallika had made at her she thought of ways to bring Rallika back. "I can't let him get out of here and hurt the people. Yet I don't want to kill him either. There has to be a way I can fix this. The monster charged at her. As it ran at her a weapon on the floor glimmered in the darkness. This was all the monster needed as a fist got her in the face. As she fell her hand was pointed in the direction of said weapon. "I hope this works.Eat this you monster!" Rallika had forgotten about Raku's Bane which now was floating in the air as Chrono used her powers to lift it up. Then she threw it with all her power at the beast Rallika had changed into.

Rallika - December 4, 2006 09:36 AM (GMT)
"I hope this works.Eat this you monster!" Rallika's Raku's Bane started floating in the air and flew at his skull. It connected and the connection between Rallika's mind and his real adversaries was severed, not gone but close to. He regained control of his mind and felt a painful wound at the left side of his head. He used his heal spell and it healed it a bit, not completely but it made it feel better. "Oh man my head. Uh Darkfire there is no way out of here." An entrance through the darkness walls opened. "Okay I stand corrected." Rallika walked through the entrance, not knowing whether Chrono and Darkfire were following him. It seems that the whole palace has been affected and there was only a single path leading down. The surroundings were a little freaky. There were red and purple streaks made the sky and surroundings. Torches with purple flames lined every path. Rallika gulped as five demons rose from the ground and their weapons appeared in their hands. 'I'm not sure if humans can survive here. This applies to me if I revert. Well, let's get this over with." A demon charged at Rallika. He stepped forward and struck the demon with a horizontal axe slash. He jumped at a demon and smashed his axe down, striking the demon's spine. More demons appeared either from the air or the ground. "I don't think we're in Lomedor anymore. If we keep fighting we'll be overrun. Move!" Rallika jumped over the demons and ran down the path. The torches sparked small fiery beams that flew past Rallika. Some of the demons weren't far behind. He needed to lose them but it was too wide in their current area. He saw a door rise from the ground and open, leading to the next area. "Through there! Hurry!"

Looking around at where he'd ended up within the castle, Darkfire growled slightly, having lost the trail to an extent. This place was one big, annoying maze, it seemed, and the Shadow Cult was nowhere to be found at the moment. Where Ifrit was at the moment was beyond him, but hopefully he was having more luck.

Turning to look behind him, he grumbled as he saw Rallika, as well as a bunch of demons. These necromancers really were pains at the moment, and they obviously needed to die. Find this 'heir', though, and he'd find them...

"Well, what took you so long?" Darkfire said. "Seem to have lost the trail at this point, myself...I'm really beginning to hate this place."
