Title: The beginning

Dmoney - October 25, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
Kenyari stood on a hill looking over the lush green fields. He stood there for a few seconds and admired the sight of the open field. A light breeze came through and his black hair and his black robe that he wore started to sway in the wind. He started walking slowly down the hill as the breeze wan softly across his face.

Once he got down to the bottom of the hill he stopped and sat for a moment. He laid his head down as he pulled his sword out to play with it a little. His sword was still stained with the blood from his last fight. He slowly took his robe off as the seal that was placed on him was now visible. He looked at the seal and sighed slowly to himself. The only thing from that seal he remembers is that it locked away something deep and dark inside of him. He drifted into off in thought about his past, and thinking about how the little seal on his arm got there in the first place. He sighed to himself again as he stuck his sword in the ground and drifted off to sleep.

When he awoke it was night and the green field was now dark with only the small dim light from the moon and stars .The light was shining on his face and it highlighted his black hair. It had been a clear night and the got chilly. He reached for his robe, taking one last look at the symbol on his arm and put on his robe. The robe hid the symbol away so that he didn’t have to be reminded on how he got it. He stood up and grabbed his sword. He had gotten a small urge to fight. He wondered if it was the seal that had the thirst for a fight or was it him. He shrugged and wondered where he would find someone out here that can fuel his thirst for a nice fight.. He put his sword back in its sheath and walked slowly onward down the dark field hoping to find someone soon that he could challenge .

Alina - October 30, 2006 06:27 AM (GMT)
The fire burned brightly in the night and Alina warmed her hands over the crackling flames. The spitted squirrel smelled delicious as it cooked and she leaned back on her elbows, staring up at the familiar constellations as she waited for her dinner to cook. She had apples with her. Perhaps, after the flames had died down to coals, she would wrap the fruit in leaves and roast it. Her stomach gurgled at the thought and her mouth watered.

She sighed and closed her eyes, rubbing the bridge of her nose to ward of weariness. She had been wandering aimlessly now for some time without an idea of even in which direction to walk. In the morning, she would gather her bearings and head for the nearest town. She needed supplies and besides, she missed the sounds of people hurrying from one point to the next. The controlled chaos of marketplaces was fascinating and drew her like flames drew a moth.

Wind swirled over the grasslands and Alina shivered, sitting up and scooting closer to the fire as she drew her cloak tighter around her. She glanced around the shadowy landscape, constantly vigilant for any danger. Her eyes landed on a patch of silvery flowers a short distance away, the flames of the fire reflecting off of the petals.

Moonflowers! Her eyes widened in delight and she rose, her nervousness temporarily forgotten. Moonflowers were rare, but incredibly useful. They could, for example, break a dangerous fever or treat damplung. She stepped away from the warmth and safety of her fire to pluck several of the precious petals.

Dmoney - October 30, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Kenyari was walking though the field when he had spotted a small fire in the distance. He could tell something else was there but it seemed to be moving away from the fire. It was too far away to tell if it was a person or a animal. "Hmm lets find out what it is" kenyari thought to himself putting his sword back in its sheath and walking towards the fire in the distance.

After walking for a few minutes he came close enough to see that the figure was heading towards a small patch of moon flowers. He unsheathed his sword and walked to the fire being very quiet so that the figure wouldn’t hear him. He had then stuck the end of the sword in it heating the tip of the blade. Once the blade’s tip turned a bright red color he took the sword out. He touched the small grass with the hot blade as the grass was starting to catch fire. He stomped at the small fire where the tip of his sword was and put it out. He then continued to walk towards the figure. He walked in the shadows so that the figure wouldn’t see him.

As he walked towards the patch the light from the fire seemed to dim. The only light that was by the flowers was the light from the moon and stars and the dim light of the fire. His blue eyes glistened with the bright white light that was shining and reflecting off the petals of the flowers. He walked behind up behind the figure and spoke softly not to startle her too much. “Well. I think you have found yourself in a bad situation.” He said arrogantly placing the tip of his blade that was shining red into the flowers as some of them started to burn slowly.

Alina - October 30, 2006 06:31 PM (GMT)
Alina’s eyes widened and a started shout escaped her mouth as she spun on her heels to face the threat. That was stupid, stupid, stupid! she thought angrily to herself. How could you leave yourself exposed like that? She shrank back from the man before her.

The smell of burning plants reached her nose and tore her eyes from the man and looked down at the flowers. Her throat constricted at the sight of the weapon red from the heat of the flames and her vision narrowed. With a great effort, she concentrated on staying conscious. “Wh-who are you?” she asked, stuttering. She licked her lips nervously, glancing at her fire. It seemed miles away now.

With a cry, she shoved the man and darted for the fire. Her mace was there; she had set it down so as not to tangle it in her legs. Stupid, stupid, stupid! she berated herself. You’re going to die because you were so stupid!

Dmoney - October 30, 2006 07:12 PM (GMT)
The figure turned around with pure fright in her eyes. Kenyari was amazed that the figure was a young girl but none the less he had nothing but destruction on his mind. The young girl had muttered simple words "Wh-who are you?” Kenyari opened his mouth and was about to speak but before he could the girl had gotten up and shoved past him. She was running back towards the fire camp fire it seems she had made. He smirked as she ran "hehe nothing but terror in her eyes. Just what i like to see" he said smiling as he let a huge fire blaze among the flowers as more than half of the flowers were engulfed in flames within seconds.

He walked back to where the girl was as the fire blazed behind him. Most of the moon flowers in that patch were being burned but kenyari didn’t care. The seal had made him thirst for destruction and was now seeing a slight opening for it. He rubbed his arm as it started to ache with the unleashing of the seal. He walked towards her slowly letting his sword drag along leaving a trail of fire behind him. He got half way there and his sword had cooled down from the cold dirt. The fire from the flowers had engulfed them all leaving not one flower left. He continued walking towards her as he lifted his sword.

"Destruction.....destruction..." he chanted slightly to himself as he walked closer to the fire. His eyes glowed red with the lust for destruction and the reflection of the fire that was shining in front of him.

Kenyari knew that the seal was what was driving him to destroy everything including that girl. He fought hard to try to fight the seal from opening but he was struggling to. He didn’t want to kill defense less person but the seal was dragging him to it. He slowed down his pace trying hard not to let the seal get the best of him. "God damn thing is going to be the fall of me one of these days" he said to himself still walking slowly towards her.

Ploay - October 30, 2006 07:51 PM (GMT)
Ploay flew gracefully in the moonlit sky with the breeze flowing though her hair as if they were shadow puppets dancing in front of a fire light. That black hair of hers almost blended in with the darkness in the sky, the same with her ashen wings. As the guardian of wind she loved to take relaxing flights in the night air, and smell the sweet aroma that the clean air produced. But tonight as she was flying over the grasslands she felt something amiss, so she looked at the ground to see anything. Everything seemed to be calm so she kept flying, but her eyes still glanced downward just incase she saw anything.

Just as she took a loud yawn she noticed a small fire, so she figured that she would take a small stop and get a little warm before she continued her flight. What could be the harm of it, since she was a guardian she didn’t really fear mortals as much as she used to before she knew what she was. Her old self would stay clean away from them, not wanting to get in a battle where it was a 50/50 chance of survival. Aiming h er left wing downwards at the fire she started to decent speedily. Since she has done this so many times she was confident she could land no mater how fast she was going. And the fire did help make her know just where to land at. So in a matter of seconds she flaps both wings back as two feet of hers landed on the soft ground. She folded her wings and looked to her right just in time to see a girl running towards her. At first she blinked wondering where so was going in such a hurry. But then she saw a dark figure slowly walking towars them.

Ploay crossed her arms and stared into the darkness, staring at the figure. She wasn’t sure of what to think but the tall angel like being stood in her spot in silences, and would speak once she knew what in the world was going on. But for now she would just wait and see.

Alina - October 31, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
A shadow fell between Alina and her fire. She skidded to a stop at the sight of the winged woman. Was she working with the man? She would sort it out later, after she was armed. Under normal circumstances, she would have tried to convince the man to put down his sword, even offer to share the warmth of her fire and her food. But then, these were not normal circumstances. There was something about him that frightened her terribly.

The arrival of this second person nearly sent her into a panic and it took all of her training to not flee blindly into the night. If she ran now, he would hunt her down. She knew it with every fiber of her being.

Alina dove around the winged woman, landing on her stomach on the warm ground of her campsite. Her fingers closed around the shaft of her mace and she rolled onto her back with a shout of triumph.

Dmoney - October 31, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
The man was closing distance quickly as the fire burned behind him. He could still feel the heat of the blaze behind him. He smiled lightly to himself. Kenyari never smiles and him smiling now was truly a rare sight. He continued to stalk the young girl down as a dark shadow figure appeared between her and his path. He slowed down only to see what that was that was standing before him and why was it getting in the way of this.

He walked closer to what ever it was as he saw her wings. “Something doesn’t feel right. I feel a strange aura from her. A very powerful one but what is it." he asked himself still walking towards her. He lifted his sword up and readied himself just in case. He stopped immediately and realized what she was.

"A guardian!!" he said to himself. "Just my luck. I get a guardian to come on a night like this." he sighed to himself starting to walk towards her without a hesitation or a fear of death in his heart. "This is none of your business guardian. Just go and let us settle our differences." he said trying to convince the guardian to leave.

He walked a little bit close and peered around the guardian. He noticed that the girl had made a loud shout or something and he wondered what happened. "Hm she has a weapon. Now if we fight it will be a little bit more interesting." he hummed to himself looking back at the guardian. She had just been standing there looking and hasn’t said a word since she got there. While he was still ready for a fight he figured he would pick a fight with the girl even with the guardian standing there. "This will make things a bit more interesting if i attack her with a guardian standing here watching me. He looked back over at the girl and then looked back at the guardian still standing there.

Ploay - October 31, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
Ploay’s eyes widen as the girl dashed around her wing so fast to go grab something. She must be in a real big hurry, she thought as she looked while the girl grabbed her mace and shouted. Ploay softly smiled, feeling a slight warmth because the woman seemed happy holding onto her weapon. There was something about a weapon, no matter if you were skilled with it or not; it always seemed to give others comfort. Then her head turned and the man seemed to be still heading this way. Ploay shifted her body to the side so she could easily keep an eye on both of them. The man started to say something, “What differences? You are both mortals right?” Ploay grinned then turned her head to the woman, “so do you want to fight him?” If it was an excepted duel then sure she would butt ut, but it really wasn’t her business one way or the other. But it sure was hard to move aside when someone is threaten another.

Ploay looked at the man now, and her grin disappeared, this being wasn’t no threat to her. At least not for now, he seemed to have some hidden strength but she doubted it would help very much. What pondered in her mind what was he doing chasing the girl? Did she make him mad somehow? Or was she an ex loved one that he loath? Ploay didn’t know, nor really did she care. The guardian calmly stood there and watched the two mortals.

Alina - October 31, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
"This is none of your business guardian. Just go and let us settle our differences."

The man was closer now and Alina scrambled to her feet, moving to keep both beings in her line of vision. It was clear that the winged woman wasn’t going to interfere and Alina wondered if she was with the man at all. Facing the man now, she tensed her legs so that they were like springs, ready to launch her in any direction necessary: at the man, at the woman or into the night.

The mace was heavy in her hand, but she didn’t dare lower the weapon entirely; the man was just too close. “Who are you?” Her voice sounded stronger this time and for that, she was glad. She doubted very much that she could frighten him away or intimidate him, but at least she would sound bold.

Dmoney - November 2, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
“Who are you?” he heard the girl say. Kenyari looked back at the guardian and back at the girl. The girl seemed less frightened and he was kind of glad that she was showing courage.

"I am a half demon. Server of nobody. I serve myself. And i do as i please." he said angrily. He walked a step closer to try to close some distance between him and the girl but still stayed away from the guardian.

He looked back at the guardian. He smirked at it looking back at the girl. "Well" he said out loud. He looked back and noticed that the fire was starting to die down. Most of the flowers were destroyed and he smiled at the fact that they were burned away. He looked back at the two of them. "What are we going to do here," he said still eager and ready to fight either of them. It was said that the guardians had unthinkable power but he didn’t care. The seal in him was too much in control and had too big of a thirst for a fight that he would have fought the guardian if he had too. He then smiled deeply at the thought of fighting the guardian. He knew he would lose but the thought of fighting a being as powerful as that got his blood flowing. The thought of a challenge such as that is too big to pass up" he said to himself looking into the eyes of the guardian.

Kenyaris eyes had the reflection of the small camp fire in them from the fire by the girl. He stared deeply into the guardian eyes trying to figure out What exactly it was planning but he was unable to tell what it was thinking. It had been standing there the entire time and only spoke a few words. That was not enough to tell kenyari what the thing was planning and its intentions. He looked back at the girl. "I am kenyari" he said not wanting to give anymore information about himself. He looked back at the guardian as the thought of fighting it popped back up in his mind.

Ploay - November 2, 2006 12:44 AM (GMT)
Ploay smirked and placed her hand on her hip, then shifted her weight to her left side. Flames quietly crackled as a small silence passed. The guardian wasn’t sure who the girl was talking to, but from the mans response she figured that she was talking to him. Ploay held back a chuckle, seeing how some people could be so fast to get into such an awkward predicament. The flames cast shadows against her brown silk skirt that stood still in the quiet winds.

When the man stared at her, Ploay shifted her eyes to the girl, and then back to the man. Continuing to do this until there was a slight feeling of silliness in her bones. I feel like blurting out laughing, Ploay thought to herself as she randomly yawned. She placed a slender hand over her mouth, and let the fingers curl around her cheek as a large breath of air came into her lungs. Finally when she got all the air she wanted, she tucked her free thumb into her brown sash. Tugged tightly against her waist was her famous sword of air that she took everywhere.

To answer the mans question she turned her back to the girl and faced him. The thought of the girl being a threat to her didn’t cross her mind, since the girl appeared to be frightened. “Well, if its a fight you want come and get me, if you wanna have a peaceful dinner then I’m sure there are some plants that are good to eat. And if you just want to talk and rest a bit, well that could also be arranged I’m sure.” The guardian curled her fingers around the hilt of her blade, grinning at the man. But as soon as she did her grin disappeared and she turned to look at the girl. “What do you wanna do ma’am?” Ploay began to lightly chuckled as she closed her eyes and turned back to the man. This is going to be an interesting night, Ploay thought to herself as she chuckled.

Alina - November 6, 2006 12:43 AM (GMT)
The mace was growing heavy in Alina’s hand and it began to waver under the strain of being held out for so long, but she didn’t dare lower it, not even while the winged woman stood between her and the man. The woman had her back to her as she spoke with the man and then turned to her.

“What do you wanna do ma’am?”

It should have been so obvious. Her eyes were still on the man and his sword; she didn’t want to die. There was something about him. Not evil, but not entirely good either. Of course, there was the wicked sword in his hand that influenced her impressions.

Alina was dangerously close to panicking and told herself that it was the shock of being caught off-guard. She took a deep, calming breath. She was a cleric, it was time to start acting like one.

“I will defend myself against this man. I do not expect you to risk your life for my sake.” She widened her stance slightly and grounded her feet.

Dmoney - November 6, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
Kenyari turned his head slightly towards the girl. He noticed that she had grown a huge load of confidence. “I will defend myself against this man. I do not expect you to risk your life for my sake.” He heard her say softly. Kenyari laughed slightly to himself. “Her life” he thought thinking about the strength of the guardians themselves. He smiled at the fact that she was ready to stand her ground and the fact that he may get to have an opportunity to fight him a guardian.

Kenyari looked back at the winged creature and admired her make her sword out of air. He smiled at her knowing that if he fought her he would more than likely lose but something kept pushing him to fight her. Maybe the seal? Maybe just because of his power hungry nature.

Kenyari had a huge smile on his face at this point due to the thought of the fight coming up. He lifted his hand to his face and blew through it. "I can do it to" he said taunting her. He laughed and backed up a few steps letting his sword drag along the floor. "I think this may be fun" he said out loud to the guardian. He took a glance at the spot where his seal was located. "I wonder if this battle will cause me to get this thing removed from my shoulder and finally let the true demon inside of me out for good." he thought to himself as the smile turned into a blank stare at the ground.

He slowly lifted his head up to the guardian. He stared at her in her eyes with a blank face. Kenyari wanted to fight the guardian thinking it would serve as a wonderful challenge but he also wondered about the thing on his arm and wondered exactly how strong the guardian was. He shook his head trying to wipe his mind from the thoughts that will just cause cloudiness and looked over at the girl.

He lifted his sword up and dropped his back leg back as he prepared himself for one of his hardest fights he has more than likely ever had.

Ploay - November 8, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Ploay smirked as a small chuckle left her lips because she found the girls sudden hidden strength comical. For someone who ran away from a being out of fear, then find courage in a weapon really ranked high on Ploay’s most laughable list. “You know maybe you should learn what a guardian is, and how they can help you before you think that they are risking their lives on a mortal.” Her life wasn’t much at risk, and besides she already died once; so she knew people couldn’t get rid of her so easily. Although the guardian would never consider the goddess of chaos a people, or was it Death himself that killed her? Everything seemed to blank out, so the thought of seeking revenge never accrued to her. In fact she was more or less thankful that her killers showed her how to live life, and her new appearance wasn’t too bad as well. If she came bake as a pile of dirt Ploay wouldn’t be to sure of what to do anymore. Maybe to try and see if someone could kill that pile of dirt.

The guardian noticed his fighting stance, and she shook her head. “Not here, not near the girl no.” she looked up at the moon, and lifted a slender tan finger right under the image of the moon. “We shall fight a few miles over there if you wish. Although I must say the last person I fought with died, and he was a guardian as well...” Ploay said in a cold tone as it was something that was rather dark and hidden. Apparently one could say Ploay killed him so hard that he didn’t come back from the after life. Her face appeared sad, but then she burst out into laughter. “I guess we weren’t really rivals because apparently we weren’t of equal strength hahahaha!”

Dmoney - November 9, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Kenyari looked at the laughing guardian. "Why is she laughing." he asked himself as he looked over at the girl. The girl seemed to be more willing to fight now that she had her weapon. Keyri looked down as he soon realized why she was laughing. "You know maybe you should learn what a guardian is, and how they can help you before you think that they are risking their lives on a mortal.” he heard the guardian say. He lightly chuckled to himself looking back up slowly.

Kenyari was ready to fight her right here and now. He lifted his sword as he prepared to attack her. "Not here, not near the girl no.” the guardian interrupted as he was starting to run up. He stopped as he looked at her. She seemed to be pointing in the direction of the wooded area near by. “We shall fight a few miles over there if you wish. Although I must say the last person I fought with died, and he was a guardian as well...” the guardian had said. "Death is something that happens to us all. I am not thinking about my death but more of the exciting fight between us." he had said with confidence. He stuck his sword into the ground as he looked the guardian in the eyes. He knew she was hiding something but he didn’t think too much into it.

He looked back at the girl. "Well i guess our business is done" he yelled out to her as he picked his sword back up. He looked back at the guardian who seemed to be in a huge moment of laughter. "Well if it is over in the woods you want this fight then you got it." he said lifting his sword. He started walking slowly towards the wooded area. He stopped and looked back. "I have no doubts in my mind that you will not show up. I get the feeling you want to fight just as much as me." he said looking back at the girl.

"This may be our last meeting." he said to her as he looked back at the guardian. "Lets do this" he said as he turned and walked in the direction of the woods. He walked slowly as he slowly became a small figure as he walked towards the woods. "I hope I am ready for this" he said to himself as he left.

Ploay - November 9, 2006 04:14 PM (GMT)
Ploay smirked as the man finally started to slowly make his leave. She would give him a few minutes head start because of her fast flying abilities. Quickly she turned all her attention to the girl, “Well now you don’t have to deal what that anymore, but your more then welcome to come and watch me in action.” A small giggle left her lips as she expanded her black wings as far as they could go. With a jump and a flap of her wings she began to lift up in the air, and fly to where she promised t fight the man. “Piece of cake,” she said to herself.

((sorry for the shortness, and Domoney you can start the next topic and pm it to me))

Alina - November 12, 2006 05:30 AM (GMT)
“You know maybe you should learn what a guardian is, and how they can help you before you think that they are risking their lives on a mortal.”

Surprised that the winged woman was addressing her, Alina risked looking away from the man to glance at the woman. “Guardian” triggered something in the back of her mind and she tried to worry it like a loose tooth, but it resisting becoming more than a fleeting thought. Some archaic knowledge she had discovered years ago amidst other research probably. She quickly turned her attention back to the man. The woman’s words implied that she was a dangerous woman and resistant to death; Alina hesitated to call her immortal.

The winged woman, the guardian, spoke with the man and Alina bristled at being called a girl, but held her tongue. They were discussing fighting elsewhere, away from her. Though no coward, Alina wasn’t going to force a fight for some stubborn pride she didn’t have. After all, she was a healer first, a fighter second. She’d wait until they were gone, she decided. Once they had left to fight, she’d smother the fire and leave. Walking after dark was dangerous: there was the threat of things that lurked in the dark as well as the threat of twisting an ankle in an unseen gopher hole, but she’d risk it.
