Title: Resting at the Lake
Description: Open to all
Arelia - October 17, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
Arelia rode through the small forest that surrounded the lake. Her brown hair was in a braid and it bobbed and swung to the beat of her horses steps The young samurai was not wearing her full Samurai armor just the green and white clothes that represented the Samurai Dojo she was with. She wore her spring outfit which was a short sleeved green kimono with a white sash and white flowers lining the bottom and trim. She rode calmly as she followed the lightly worn path to the lake. She had hoped to be able to visit and relax as balance was key in the life of a samurai. She led a white horse as well which followed her closely and did not stray for it knew rest would come soon.
She smiled as she came through to the clearing. She sat down and put her samurai sword on the ground and took out a pad of paper and a pencil. She began to draw the landscape as her horse went to the water to drink. She quickly drew her horse there for she knew it would not stay put for long. "You are one great horse you know that. Patient as ever. A good atribute for the steed of a Samurai." she said finishing. The horse stood still as she finished then when she nodded the horse went to a small patch of grass and began to eat. She looked and began to listen as her horse perked up at the sound of someone comming near.
Damien Bloodsword - October 17, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
Damien watched from a distance as a woman sat down near the lake. She put her weapon aside and began to draw. The demon watched curiously. She had let go of her weapon--a foolish mistake. She had also completely turned her back to the area behind her, focusing only on the lake. She was obviously a samurai, from her attire and her weapon, but she didn't seem to act much like one.
Humans... thought Damien with disgust. His sister might be more tolerant, but he hated the weak species, although he found them amusing to no end on certain days. He drew his sword, intending to show her exactly why one should never let go of their weapon.
However, so focused was he on this that he neglected to watch his footing and cursed softly as he made a beginner's mistake. He had stepped on a patch of grass that was too dry, attracting the horse's attention.
The samurai had not turned around but Damien could sense a change in the air around her. She was more alert, listening for any movement. The air became more tense as the samurai waited. She knew that something was there. Damien smirked slightly. Perhaps this wouldn't be so run-of-the-mill as he thought it would be.
"Well, what do we have here?" he asked, completely revealing his presence to her.

A small figure flitted through the trees that stood near the edge of the lake, her presence only known to the birds of the trees. Jess flipped to a thick branch that hung over the spot where the samurai sat drawing the landscape and crouched, watching the girl with bright green eyes.
The half-elf tilted her head to see the picture better. It was definitely good, way better then anything she could draw.
Jess watched the girl carefully for several minutes, fascinated by her drawing skills and wondering whether it was worth jumping down and introducing herself. The samurai seemed calm and kind, but Jess had met people who could change from sweet and kind to raging and crazy in the blink of an eye, so maybe that wasn't such a good idea. But then again, maybe the girl was nice and Jess hadn't seen other people for a while, so maybe it was worthwhile.
Just as she came to a decision and got ready to drop down, she heard a strange sound. Another footstep perhaps? Wrapped in her cloak, Jess crouched on the branch and turned, very slowly, to see who had made the noise. A man was standing, as if frozen on the spot. He had a sword out and, by the look on his face, hadn't meant to herald his presence.
He waited for a moment then, finding that the samurai seemed not to have heard, continued forwards. "Well, what have we here?" he asked the samurai, not noticing the small blonde figure on the branch above. Jess froze, wondering why he had revealed his presence to a potentual opponent and hoped that he wouldn't notice her.
Her cloak gave him little chance of doing so, yet with some people, you never know. Hidden in her cloak and wondering whether a fight was going to break out, Jess watched, unmoving from the tree, and waited to see what would happen.
Chantleir - October 17, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
Chantleir sighed at the lake, her rock just skimming over the lake as she sat upon it. Her light blond hair danced as the air flew past. She liked it here. It was a wonder why she had never been here before. It was very beautiful.
Just then, the small girl noticed a couple of dots.she knew them as people. Care fully, she moved over the lake to watch what was happening. There was a girl, and a man behind her, holding a...sword?She raised a hand and made a branch come out of the ground and curl itself around the man. She made one in front of the girl and it latched onto the girls sleeve and tugged away from the man.She did not like danger one bit.
Arelia - October 17, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)
Arelia became fully alert as the Detect Evil spell kicked in. So...Whoever is here has evil purposes? It seems I best be ready. She thought and waited a bit longer, moving her arm to the sash around her waist and clutched a hilt of a spineslicer. She set down her book, as a voice revealed itself. "Well, what do we have here?" said the voice finally revealing itself to be a man. She turned and stood straight looking at him. She could not tell what his intentions were as of yet, "So...How much longer were you intending on hiding from me?" she asked. She was not sure what exactly this man had planned on doing but she was certian that he was of evil intent.
She waited, her spine slicer now hid within the sleve of her right arm, the loose fabric hid the curved blade that was now pressed against her arm. She had learned well from her friends how to defend herself with a mere dagger. She waited for the man to state his purpose.
Damien Bloodsword - October 18, 2006 08:14 AM (GMT)
Damien smirked as the samurai turned around to face him. She seemed to be prepared, although she had left her sword on the ground. However, Damien did not relax. She had noticed her earlier, meaning that this woman was alert...for a human.
"So...How much longer were you intending on hiding from me?"
Damien laughed darkly.
"Hiding from you?" asked the Rauko, "I would have no need to hide from a mere human. I simply did not draw attention to myself."
He looked down as a branch coiled around him, attempting to stop him from moving. Damien drew his longsword, cutting through the branch. Once he had cut himself free, he looked out across the lake, seeing a girl riding on what looked to be a rock.
An Elemental? he thought, watching her. If that was so then things were just about to get interesting.
Chantleir - October 28, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Chantleir hissed at the man.Was it a man? How dare he? "Evil, vile, evil, evil, evil thing..." she muttered, making her rock move closer to the shore. Her bow, and her arrows were on the other side of the shore, and she couldn't get it now...unless she made them come to her. It was wood, and rocks, so she could make it come to her hand, zoom into her hand, and she did just that, her bow in one hand and the arrows in another. She stayed on the rock, pondering what to do next, and watching the scene before her.
