Arda > Grand Cathedral > Rebirthing

Title: Rebirthing
Description: (private)

Sraxen - October 14, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
It was the first time he had been in the cathedral in some time. Sraxen the Dwarf stood in the center of the impressive structure, his hands cupped tightly around an unidentifiable object. Slowly, the Dwarf made his way over to the side of the room, towards a winged figure standing not too far away. This meeting had an importance like none other, and he had called on the presence of one of the few people he was able to trust. Zenith Meria was in the Grand Cathedral.

It had been an hour early in the morning when Sraxen had stood just outside of Keeper's Peak. He had noted that the time was near for the climax of the event. The egg, which was now cupped between his hands in the Grand Cathedral, was due for a hatching.

"Zenith, he had sent, through their telepathic bond. "It is time. Meet me in the Grand Cathedral. There is much to discuss. Indeed there was. This was not only the birth of some creature, an exit of an embryo from the egg. It was a symbol. Its meaning was universal. And this is what Sraxen wanted to discuss with his fellow Keeper.

And so, egg in hand, he had approached the portal held in the secret base of the Keepers of the Sacred Deed, taking it to the Temple of Life. From there, he had found the portal that led to the Sanctuary of Angels, which housed the cathedral. As the sun came up from below the horizon, he had entered the holy building. Inside was many a devout follower of holiness, finding peace and wisdom within the walls of the structure. Among these, Sraxen was at home with. These were people who believed in a cause similar to his. He would find no quarrel here.

"I'm glad you could make it," he whispered to Zenith as he came closer to the angel. "The time is nearly here."

Zenith Meria - October 15, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
Yes Zenith had been called to the one place he still feared going, back to the place where his family home once stood before Alba Meria burned both the house down and also killed the rest of the Meria bloodline. Zenith however still came to the Grand Cathedral since one of his close friends, a dwarf by the name of Sraxen, had called the Keeper to travel with him. Yes the egg that Sraxen had been given was going to hatch, yet what the dwarf did not know was that Zeniths egg was also near to hatch. Although the angel had no idea what lay within the egg he had on his arms.

There he stood within the Cathedral looking on at the people, angels and others, praying for their Holiness. A small smile spread across the lips of Zenith as he looked on to this site before him, it was indeed nice to see. Zenith was in his usual golden Resplendent Armour, but his Helm was not on, instead the helm lay with a travel pack at Zeniths side. His usual weapons also lay upon his body along with his shield upon his back. Held within the arms of Zenith, much like Sraxen, was an egg, an egg that looked to hatch at any moment now.

Soon Zeniths eyes were taken away from the followers of Holiness as he heard a voice speak to him from within the Cathedral. Looking down Zenith seen his friend Sraxen with his eyes in his arms. Zenith listened to the words of Sraxen before he said in reply, "Yes my friend you are right. New life shall be brought into this world today, and with luck we can help this life be part of Ardas light. Shall we begin then my fellow Keeper?" For a young man of only nineteen Zenith had always seemed much older within his actions and speach.

The angel then awaited on the reply of Sraxen as he once more began to scan through the beings with the Cathedral, hearing a small group of angels together talking about the appearance of Zenith. For some reason the angels of this place always made such a back deal of the young angel when he returned, as if he was of importance to them. Zenith as of yet did not know why this way. As the doors of the Cathedral opened once more from someone entering, the soft wind caused the long shoulder lenght hair of Zenith to flow somewhat. He was home again, but for some reason, he no longer felt this place as his true home ever since that night all those years ago.

Sraxen - October 17, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
Inside the hands of the dwarf, the egg was resting, shaken subtly every so often. It reminded Sraxen that life was still being held inside the capsule, ready to spill out and breathe new life once the time was ripe. And the time was almost ripe. He bowed deeply to his friend and ally, Zenith the arch angel. He had accompanied the fellow Keeper on so many adventures that the two could almost read each other's thoughts, even without the telepathic bond that they now shared. They were thinking with one mind, with one purpose: the spread the ways of holiness, to stop the rise of darkness.

These eggs - one belonging to Sraxen, the other to the angel - represented that idea. The dwarf took a moment to gather his thoughts and reminisce about all that they had been through together. Then, he answered his friend.

"Not only are these eggs a new life, Zenith. They are a symbol of our purpose. The hatchlings inside here are a manifestation of the birth of holiness amidst a world of chaos and destruction. A rebirthing, a reawakening of the ways of good. The hatching of these eggs signifies a change in the wind. Arda will begin its ascension to greatness."

Sraxen's eyes ventured off to the side as he noticed the open door of the cathedral. Outside the walls, he saw tremendous gardens of green and purple, basking in the sunlight. They contained an aura of holiness that was abundant throughout the Sanctuary of Angels. The dwarf felt a nod in his spirit. This was where it was going to occur.

"Follow me outside, my friend," he said simply. "The gardens are calling to me. These creatures shall be born under the sun and moon of Arda. They shall be blessed by the light."

Zenith Meria - November 21, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
Listening to the words of his wise and noble friend Zenith smiled and nodded to Sraxen. The pair had been through so much together within the Mines and throughout the rest of Arda. Sraxen was both Zeniths best friend, and on some level even a kind of father figure to the young angel. His other two main links within the Keepers were Yumi, who was like a little sister to Zenith now, and the other was the Gaurdian of Holiness, Avénnian who was now Zeniths friend and Mentor. The young angel then said to Sraxen, "Yes my friend. Let us take these beings into the sunlight, so that when they are born they can feel the light of this world first hand. This shall be a moment for the Keepers to remember Sraxen!" Zenith then nodded once more before following his friend to the garden outside.

The eggs that both Sraxen and Zenith held had been given to them by the Goddess of Life, so the lifeforms growing within them would certainly help in their battles against the darkness of Arda, although it would be the Keepers duty to make sure the hatchlings grew up safe, knowing of Arda light so that once fully grown they could help to the best of their powers.

It was clear that the day was infact beautiful as the sun beat down upon the grass of the garden, the flowers blooming in full adding to the beauty of the garden. The essence of life showing clear within the garden, to first time viewers of this holy place they may have even seen it as there own garden of eden within the lands of Arda so to speak.

Zenith made the first steps out into the garden feeling the soft wind glide across his face. Zenith felt at peace within this garden and knew it was going to the perfect place for the eggs to hatch. Now was the time to bring new life into Arda once more.

Sraxen - December 1, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
The light of the sun reflected off the stone walkways that surrounded the cathedral. To the right and left, gardens sprang up in a brilliant display of life. Bright shades of greens and purples, oranges and yellows, and not a weed in sight.

Everything there was symbolical. The dwarf knew the angel understood, but he spoke its meaning aloud anyway. "These eggs- these dragons- they symbolize a rebirthing of the holiness that will one day prevail in Arda once again. They are innocent, free from sin, completely pure. They are holiness. What a gift to be the ones who will be the forerunners of this movement!"

Sraxen and Zenith had been chosen to be the masters of these beasts, handpicked for the task. The dragons would grow up to be fearsome predators who would never stop hunting evil, much the same way Sraxen and Zenith had vowed to fight to the death when they swore allegiance to the Keepers. Together, the four of them would face many battles, but they would always be at each other's side to make sure the holy warriors prevailed. There was no separating them.

The egg rumbled in Sraxen's hand. "He wants to come out." The dwarf set the egg on the ground in the middle of the garden, and as he and the angel spoke, he waited. The rebirth was soon at hand.

Zenith Meria - December 9, 2006 11:57 PM (GMT)
As they stood within the garden Zenith listened to the words of his friend Sraxen, all was clear to the angel on why they were doing this but still he listened to his friend carefully so not to miss even one word of what he was saying. Zenith then seen Sraxen place down his egg as it was ready to hatch. Following the actions of Sraxen, who was like a father figure to the young angel, Zenith placed his egg down softly next to one that Sraxen had placed. The rebirth of Holiness was at hand, and Zenith would look after this creature with all his heart just like he had done with all the other animals he had. His Plasma Dragon Telsor, his Greater Cerberus Arc, his Falcon Shadow, his Panther Odion, and his newly found Anima Heru. It seemed the young angel had somewhat of a way with the animals of Arda.

The angel then looked towards Sraxen and said, "I will look after this new life and care for it like I have all the other animals I have raised, It seems I have become rather good at it now after all!" Zenith then let out a small laugh and looked back towards the two eggs. His own egg was moving a little on the ground as the life within it struggled to break from its egg, the new life was at hand and Zenith could not wait to see what being he had been chosen to raise.

Taking a few steps towards to the eggs Zenith began to smile. This was indead an exciting moment for him and somehow he knew this hatchlings would be ok and would live for many many years aiding Sraxen and Zenith in their quest to shatter the darkness of Arda. They had done so much work already in their fight against darkness and these hatchlings would aid the keepers in any way that they good. The darkness of Arda now had more beings to fight with!
