Title: Nightfall
Description: open

Shaelynn Faye - October 14, 2006 01:27 PM (GMT)
The sun was just beginning to set, casting an orange glow around the surrounding scenery. Birds returned to their nests and animals to their homes as the whole forest prepared for the coming of nightfall. A cool wind blew through the air, warning all travelers of a chilly night to come.

Shaye made her way through the woods, shivering slightly at the cold wind. The wind blew at her black hair and she tucked a stray strand back behind her ear. The young shapeshifter walked through the forest, one hand on the hilt of the katana at her side.

Shaye's stomach growled, reminding her that she hadn't had a decent meal in a while. She sighed, sitting down at the bottom of a tree. Tomorrow she would find something to eat. Tonight...tonight she would rest, and prepare for the day of traveling that awaited her tomorrow. She leaned back against the tree, closing her eyes and relaxing her guard for just a moment.

Sarce Livial - October 15, 2006 02:19 PM (GMT)
Sarce was wandering the woods as he did when his sleep decided to fail him. His thoughts were silent and his soul was quiet in the solitude and serenity that these woods provided for him. Even though these lands were silent and did not often hold other figures like his own kind, Sarce had the natural instinct to be aware of his surroundings.

His bright blue eyes seemed to illuminate the pathway before him, the colour and light of his eyes disguising the true Darkness that was within his soul. It was evening, the light slowly setting to the west and the rays of sunlight breaking through the treetops, illuminating the vegetation and plants that grew on the path.

Sarce sensed the presence of another and he looked around the trees in search of a lifeform. It was not an animal, it was too large for such a creature. He walked forward in search of the presense again, his eyes diverting from left to right in the hope that his eyes would detect the presence.

As his footsteps crunched against the branches and leaves that had fallen on the floor of the woods, Sarce looked into the distance. He noticed a presence in the distance and his eyes focused upon it. A female was slowly settling against a tree. He knew this would be fun.

Sarce moved to the right and walked towards the side of the woman. He hoped he would be able to catch her off-guard and make her realise that such foolishness in dropping her guard would pose problems in the future. He drew his scimitar and inched closer towards the woman.

"I wouldn't recommend positioning yourself in such unguarded positions when you are so alone. These woods are not safe." Sarce said politely.

Shaelynn Faye - October 16, 2006 08:45 AM (GMT)
"I wouldn't recommend positioning yourself in such unguarded positions when you are so alone. These woods are not safe," said a voice.

Shaye's eyes snapped open sharply, her hand reaching for her katana. In front of her was a man--no...a fallen angel? He held a scimitar in his hands.

Shaelynn Faye cursed under her breath, getting to her feet. She watched the scimitar warily, hand on the hilt of her own katana. She hardly ever relaxed her guard and yet it was when she did that something like this had to happen.

"What do you want?" asked the Atani. If he was looking for a fight, then she was more than willing to comply.

Sarce Livial - October 16, 2006 03:42 PM (GMT)
Sarce quickly tightened his grip upon the blade as the woman awakened quickly at the sound of his words, her eyes infused with his own. She stared at him, trying to warn him off whilst she slowly grabbed the katana which she owned. She knew how to handle herself, that was for certain.

"What do you want?"

The words enticed combat, though that was far from what Sarce wanted. The Darkness that was within his soul was not expressed in his words, only in his actions. He did not care for battle nor did he care to anger one whom he did not know. He needed to make that point clear.

"I am but a stranger to you though I cannot step aside and watch such beauty be slain because of the simple mistake that was made. I tell you, these woods are not safe. I have travelled to these lands often and I have viewed with my own eyes the true horror that is within." Sarce said, pausing to rethink his wording.

He knew that these woods held dangerous and wild beasts, though it was not the beasts that were to be worried about. Thieves and outlaws hid in these parts, searching for undefended prey to murder and pillage. Such brutality. He hated the actions of those who he was linked with. He was Dark, that much was certain but he had a sense of justice and honour that such barbaric mortals would fail to understand.

"I believe that I was rude in my wording and I would like to apologise. I am Sarce. I came here only to find what this presence what, but I found something more. Beauty." Sarce cursed under his breath, his thoughts were being revealed in his wording again.

Sarce outstretched his hand in a means of peace and kindness. He did not wish to seem unfriendly and placed the scimitar back into it's sheath. There would be no confusion about his intentions. Or so he hoped would be the case.

Shaelynn Faye - October 17, 2006 04:58 AM (GMT)
"I am but a stranger to you though I cannot step aside and watch such beauty be slain because of the simple mistake that was made. I tell you, these woods are not safe. I have travelled to these lands often and I have viewed with my own eyes the true horror that is within," said the man.

Shaye watched him. What was he talking about? What horror? She had been in forests before and had come out alive. And yet...she had never been in this part of Arda.

The Atani mentally kicked herself, realizing her mistake. She had let her guard down in an unfamiliar land, something she should have learned long ago never to do.

"I believe that I was rude in my wording and I would like to apologise. I am Sarce. I came here only to find what this presence what, but I found something more. Beauty."

Shaye watched as the man outstretched his hand, sheathing his sword. The Atani watched the hand warily for a moment before sheathing her own blade. She took the offered hand.

"My name is Shaelynn, but I prefer to be called Shaye. And if you're looking for beauty, I'm afraid you're in the wrong place."

She was a warrior after all, not like those that most people considered beautiful. Shaye frowned at the thought of those girls in the villages, with nothing better to do than to tend to their looks.

Sarce Livial - October 17, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
The woman was clearly angry with herself, realizing her mistakes in dropping her guard though Sarce was sympathetic. These woods were dark and often eased a sense of fatigue and protection upon those that wandered them. Sarce had travelled to these woods so often he had become used to the attempts at false protection and the sense of fatigue it paced upon others.

"My name is Shaelynn, but I prefer to be called Shaye. And if you're looking for beauty, I'm afraid you're in the wrong place."

The woman had shook hands with him in politeness, sheathing her sword in the knowledge that Sarce was not an enemy to her. As Sarce looked upon her, it was evident that she was a warrior. Her portrayal and skill in the drawing and sheathing of her blade showed this and he was at ease knowing that she could protect herself.

"I am glad to meet you. You are not like other women who I have seen in these parts, or to be more precise, these towns. You do not believe you have beauty nor do you flaunt yourself towards me in an attempt for intimacy. A warrior throughout, am I correct?" Sarce said, pausing to think further.

He had seen many of the woman that wandered the towns in search of intimacy and for love. Their actions were off-putting to him and he would've rather have been with a woman who did not care for what the superficial women in the towns wanted.

"Since you claim that you do not possess beauty, I shall claim famous wording. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I strongly follow this phrase. I, however, am but a single man and I cannot claim that all men follow these beliefs."

Shaelynn Faye - October 17, 2006 10:55 PM (GMT)
"I am glad to meet you. You are not like other women who I have seen in these parts, or to be more precise, these towns. You do not believe you have beauty nor do you flaunt yourself towards me in an attempt for intimacy. A warrior throughout, am I correct?" asked the man.

"I prefer to think of it like that," said Shaye, her mind drifting to the towns she had been in before.

Some of the women there had watched her with distaste, eyes falling on the katana strapped to her side. The way they looked at her sometimes...she couldn't read their expressions. They would whisper about her behind her back. Perhaps they thought it strange that a girl her age would be carrying around a sword. Shaye usuually turned a blind eye to them, pretending she did not see them.

She snapped back to reality as Sarce spoke again.

"Since you claim that you do not possess beauty, I shall claim famous wording. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I strongly follow this phrase. I, however, am but a single man and I cannot claim that all men follow these beliefs."

Shaye fell silent, not knowing what to reply to that.

Umbra - October 18, 2006 12:13 AM (GMT)
Umbra walked silently through the woods. She did not feel like sleeping right now, she had yet to see which phase the moon was in at the moment and she felt the need to rest. However she pressed on trying to forget who she was at the moment and focused on the night. A chilling wind blew and she shivered pulling her dark cloak over her shoulders and pulled the hood closer to her face.

She continued to move silently as the night began. The orange streaks were already turning dark and she felt an even greater chill. She pushed the sleeves of her shirt down more, pleased that she knew the call of the season already. Umbra I doubt you are going to sleep tonight. So this makes it....Four sleepless nights. A new record. She thought when she heard voices nearby.

"I prefer to think of it like that," said one of them. It was female that was a definate and she also smelled something, it was slightly familiar but not sure. "Since you claim that you do not possess beauty, I shall claim famous wording. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I strongly follow this phrase. I, however, am but a single man and I cannot claim that all men follow these beliefs." said the second. She then realized the smell was that of a fallen angel. Not the one she knew but a fallen angel none the less. She continued and soon found the two talking. She thought about dodging their glance but knew they probably saw her anyway because she had approached from upwind and in full view of them so she just stood waiting for them to say something to her.

Shaelynn Faye - October 18, 2006 07:26 AM (GMT)
Shaye turned, aware of someone else there. She placed her hand on her katana cautiously. The shapeshifter had no plans of being caught off guard for the second time.

The newcomer this time turned out to be a woman with long ebony black hair and piercing violet eyes. Shaye watched her carefully as she came forward towards them. She didn't seem to mean them any harm.

"Hello," she said, "Did you need something?"

If her words sounded rude, Shaye didn't mean it. She just wasn't very good in dealing with people. Shaye looked around her. She had not expected so many people to be travelling at this time--three already, including herself.

Askain - October 18, 2006 11:08 AM (GMT)
Night was the assassin's time, the period throughout the day during which it was dangerous for anybody to stay out in groups, let alone by themselves. The winds blew and the dogs howled, all the more foreboding an image to those that that the assassins hunted during the night. It was rare that a target got away from the assassin, lest he himself be killed.

Tonight there would be no howling of dogs, though a nice breeze did manage to filter through the tree trunks in the general direction of where Askain's hiding spot lay. He was several yards away from his target, though as to which one it was he wouldn't tell. He was starting to get aggravated by the fact that several new people were arriving, and killing his target would be ever the more difficult with these people here.

First there was the girl who seemed to have been caught off guard by the man's approach, and a conversation had ensued. He had actually hoped that a conflict would have emerged, yet to no avail did it come. If it had, then it would have made his life all the easier. Now, here yet again, came another person...this time a woman whom seemed rather tired. She wouldn't be too hard to dispatch, from the way she was walking. Sometimes it only took a few context clues to read if a person were tired or not...

His legs were beginning to cramp as he continued to kneel upon the large, thick tree branch. He was downwind from his target, so he was sure that he wouldn't be smelt at the very least, lest an animalistic person arrive. He decided that he couldn't wait any longer to make his move...he needed to do it now.

He pulled his hands to where they were in front of his face, and blocking off some of the sound that he would be making. Whispering to himself he began to chant a slow, demonic sounding chant. With his hands he made several movements, until finally a faint glint of darkness showed him that his spell was complete.

From behind him came new sounds. At first it was a low rumbling sound, unheard up until it was about two hundred yards away. As it slowly became louder, and closer, one could finally see it was a tidal wave of some sort. Dark voices chattered everywhere within it, causing the roaring sound. These spirits had been summoned to help Askain....though they weren't readily attacking his target's bodies, but merely their mind. The mage that he had learned this spell from called it...what was it....a 'Haunt'.

"This should be interesting"

He merely stood on his branch, out of the way of this wave of tortured souls, and waited for the results of his spell to come and pass.

Sarce Livial - October 19, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
As Sarce took notice of the woman that had erupted from the surrounding area, Sarce sensed a presence of darkness. The scent of evil and corruption was distinct to him, for it was like his soul. He looked around, almost acting impatient, searching for the presence though he could see none.

These woods had such perfect hiding places for assassins, dark creatures and evil figures. The trees had branchs that thrust outwards from the tree and allowed people to sit and overlook the conversations that were being had. The darkness of the woods was not at it's greatest but Sarce knew that one could hide in such darkness without the need for magic.

As he wondered about the presence, he felt his mind being tortured by a dark source. The presence. Sarce could feel the thoughts leaking into his mind, corrupting him and causing pain and misery. The presence was clearly doing this. He needed to find the source. He knew that it would affect the females more than him, they seemed to be of the light.

"If you'll excuse me, a small problem has occured which I need to resolve. If you notice any unusual sounds or movements, be ready for a battle immediatly." Sarce said.

At that point, he jumped from his position flipped towards the source. He could feel the dark energy rushing through the woods, leaking into his soul and corrupting his mind with ever more painful thoughts. Bitter memories and betrayal filled his soul and shocked him into reality. Sarce rushed along the floor of the woods, his feet banging against the leaves and twigs that had fallen to the floor. He could feel the presence getting stronger, looking in all directions for the source.

He quickly searched the area that he was in. He could feel the source. It was strong in energy and was close. Very close. He felt it and looked upwards in instinct. A dark shadow was kneeling on a branch. There it was. Sarce needed to stop this presence from causing anymore pain.

He drew his sword and waited for a battle to erupt, calling the figure from his hiding place.

"What you are I do not know but what you have done I know is evil. Come from the place that you seemingly hide and face me in a battle." Sarce called to the figure.

Shaelynn Faye - October 20, 2006 09:51 AM (GMT)
Shaye turned away from the woman, suddenly feeling a chill. Her hair stood on end and the shapeshifter placed a hand on her sword. There was something...something eerie about these woods. She looked warily up at the tall trees, suddenly feeling very unguarded. A skilled person could be in those trees right now...watching her.

A long-forgotten memory ran through her mind.

A 7-year old girl sat huddled against a wall, the house burning around her. She hugged her knees to her chest. Her face was tear-streaked, but she wasn't crying at the moment. Her blue eyes were dull, emotionless as she stared at the floor in front of her. Her face, hands, and dress were stained with blood.

In front of her lay two dead bodies, one of a woman, the other of a man. The man still held his katana in his hands, not wanting to let go of it.

Shaye felt water running down her face. She lifted up a hand to wipe it away. Tears, noted the shapeshifter. She was crying?

Shaye furiously rubbed the tears away. She had promised herself, since that night...she wouldn't cry anymore. Why had that memory come back to her? Why now?

"If you'll excuse me, a small problem has occured which I need to resolve. If you notice any unusual sounds or movements, be ready for a battle immediatly." said Sarce.

Shaye was about to argue about being left behind when another memory ran through her mind.

"It was your fault!" screeched a woman, throwing the little girl to the ground. She had grown a little older this time--seeming about 9 years old, "They died because of you! They died protecting you!"

The girl lay on the ground, looking up at the woman. The woman glanced down at her in disgust.

"You shouldn't have been allowed to exist, shapeshifter..." she said.

Shaye shook her head rapidly, blinking the tears out of her eyes. She grabbed her katana, drawing the sword smoothly from the blade. The shapeshifter ran off into the forest, following Sarce. She needed to stop whoever was bringing these memories back. As she ran, more memories flooded her head--the same girl practicing alone in the rain with her father's katana, the girl getting called names by the other children, the girl who spent all her days alone because no one would spend them with her...

ENOUGH!!! screamed Shaye silently in her head.

They just kept coming. The memories wouldn't stop--a little girl watching her house burn in front of her, an older version of that girl getting things thrown at her, a picture of herself drawing her katana in anger and facing down one of her tormentors, sword poised for a deadly strike...

"ENOUGH!!!!!" cried Shaye, aloud this time. She collapsed to her knees in the forest, holding her head, tears streaming silently down her cheek.

Sarce Livial - October 23, 2006 01:30 PM (GMT)
Sarce could hear the scream of Shaye and felt almost compulsed to come to her aid and yet he could not let the figure escape from his grasp. He had a choice. A decision to make. He could help Shaye in her time of Darkness or he could take down this figure and free the group from the evil thoughts that corrupted their mind.

He looked up at the figure. It could be an illusion. He didn't know. He needed to make the choice. Shaye needed his help but he didn't want to let this dark figure escape if he were to cause but more trouble. Sarce felt torn between the two, fight against what he was, Darkness, or show his kind heart to a female who had been so kind to him.

He made his decision. He rushed towards her voice and saw that she had fallen to her knees, almost in a submissive position. The dark magic was working well against them, that much was obvious. He wanted to help her up but that would cause more problems. She could attack almost in reflex. He could be offer his words before he offered his hand.

"Shaye, listen to these words. These thoughts are but memories and emotions. They can no longer hurt you. You must not submit to it for it will cause but more problems for you. I will offer my hand to you. I am not your enemy, please take this hand."

He slowly slid his scimitar into his sheath and offered his cold hand to her. It was an offer of kindness and he wanted her to take it. It would help her. He was dark and could counter the thoughts with wording and kindess. He only hoped she wouldn't attack.

Shaelynn Faye - October 24, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Shaye clenched her fists, tears continuing to stream down her cheeks. The young shapeshifter was lost in a world of memories, all of them coming back to haunt her at once. In her mind's eye, she saw all the things that had happened to her at the past. Now, she was no longer Shaelynn Faye, the warrior, only the same scared little girl she had once been.

Suddenly, she heard a voice. It was a familiar voice, although in her current state of mind, Shaye did not know where she had heard it before.

"Shaye, listen to these words. These thoughts are but memories and emotions. They can no longer hurt you. You must not submit to it for it will cause but more problems for you. I will offer my hand to you. I am not your enemy, please take this hand."

Her hand clenched around her sword. The scared part of her wanted to attack anything now, anything to make these memories stop. However, there was a side of her that stayed her hand, desperately clawing at reality. And even though Shaye at this point did not know who was saying the words, her mind clung to them, forcing past memories to the back of her mind. However, it seemed what she was doing was futile, since they just kept returning.

Shaye tried desperately to cling to the shreds of the barrier she had once put around herself. She reached up for the hand, trying to come back in contact with reality. Her trembling hand closed around the offered one and she looked up wide-eyed, forcing herself to remember where she was and why she was here.

Sarce Livial - October 24, 2006 09:51 AM (GMT)
The sight of such a desperate attempt to grasp realitry was almost frightening to him, causing him to burn with emotion and energy as he saw the futile attempts to free herself from the cursed memories. She was locked in a world, a painful memory that would constantly haunt her and all he could do was offer his support. The hand was nothing but a link into reality, allowing her to slowly ease back into reality.

As she slowly drew closer to his hand, he drew ever greater in emotion, almost bursting with an unknown power and he wanted to release this energy in some form. It would have to wait. She slowly closed her hand around his and looked upon him, tryin to figure out where she was, who he was. It would be a difficult task for Sarce. He needed to take her away from this place.

"Shaye, this is reality. I am reality and you must grasp onto this world for all that your life is worth. These memories are painful and you want to attack but resist. You will feel weak and you will struggle to handle these memories that is why..." Sarce said, pausing before he said the final words. "That is why I will be carrying you away from this place, I do not know where but you will be safe. Will you allow me to carry you?" Sarce said in the kindest of manners, knowing that any form of threat would cause problems.

Shaelynn Faye - October 24, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
As Shaye continued to struggle between the past and the present, she heard the voice speak again:

"Shaye, this is reality. I am reality and you must grasp onto this world for all that your life is worth. These memories are painful and you want to attack but resist. You will feel weak and you will struggle to handle these memories that is why..."

The voice paused briefly. Shaye tried to control all the bitter thoughts and memories surging through her mind at once. She looked up as the voice spoke again.

"That is why I will be carrying you away from this place, I do not know where but you will be safe. Will you allow me to carry you?"

Shaye, at first, did not comprehend what was being asked. The frightened shapeshifter forced herself to remember where she was. She asked herself over and over again. Where was she?

T--Taurai Woods... answered the shapeshifter in her head, trying to piece together all her broken thoughts. For a moment, the onslaught of memories stopped, allowing her to know what was happening around her. As she fought to keep the onslaught of memories at bay, she looked up at Sarce and nodded slowly.

"Okay...Sarce," she said, trying to keep a grip on reality.

Sarce Livial - October 24, 2006 11:29 AM (GMT)
Once again, Sarce's possessive energy rushed throughout and almost burned his soul. Emotion and power flooded his heart, causing him to feel strong and powerful as he looked deep into Shaye's eyes. She needed help and he was the one to offer it. A Dark soul offering help to a Light soul. It seemed almost impossible.

He felt strange, almost in a perplexed state. He did not understand the emotions that he felt and he wanted to release the energy that came with it from his soul. It would all be in good time. His main problem was in helping Shaye, it was his duty, almost like an honour to be helping a woman.

As he heard her trying to struggle with the wording, he wanted to give her some of his strength. He wanted to pass his energy onto her, to help her deal with the memories and the pain that she was slowly succumbering to. He would do it soon. He would give her his energy.

"Okay...Sarce,"

The words were enough to make him recognise that the she was slowly grasping reality. The hand that he had offered was helping her through, but there was still more to be done. He slowly picked Shaye up to a standing position, and lifted her into a cradled position against his chest. As he slowly adjusted to the weight, he slowly began to move his feet into a brisk walk, slowly moving into a fast jog, trying to stop the dark spell from having an effect.

Kiara_Lenaya - October 24, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
Kiara crouched ontop of a rock, overgrown with moss and very comfortable. She drank from a skin of water and looked around the forest. It was nice. It was lonely. Not in the sense that nothing was there, there was a lot of things there, just not a lot of people. None really. She looked down at an ant and tried to impale it with her claw. Its harder than it sounds, really. Small ant, and the claw has a small point.
Suddenly she heard running, heavy footsteps coming.
Looking up she caught a familiar scent in the breeze.
Scarce, the alignment confused man she met not to long ago. He was usually fun to play around with. If he wasnt, then maybe he could give her one of those fun transplanar rides.
Suddenly he burst into view with a girl in his arms. She seemed to be crying or something.
Kiaras instincts immediatly leapt on her, and she got a bad feeling. She dropped her skin, and drew her katanas, looking about the woods.
"So..Scarce....is something going on?" she asked.

Chrono - October 25, 2006 04:17 AM (GMT)
At first she ignored it. Her sword emiting tiny embers of white flames as she played with it. However you cannot pay no heed when what starts out as a tiny ember and bursts into an awsome fire. Chrono smiled to herself and silently prayed that this one would be stronger than the last. "Finally some action." She said to herself as she closed her eyes and teleported to a random location as she usually did. She opened her eyes and found herself standing in the middle of a group of people. sighing to herself she figured it would be better to find out the names of these people and why she was there.

"Why me? Of all the people in Arda. I had to run into a Half dragon and a fallen angel holding a girl." Chrono thought as she teleported in front of the angel. "You tell me what happened to her. She half asked and half commanded.

Kiara_Lenaya - October 25, 2006 07:28 PM (GMT)
Kiara blinked at the sudden appearance of the woman.
Then she spoke, rather rudely too.
Then suddenly..she wasnt there, she was infront of Scarce.
"Hey!" ,Kiara yelled, "Your being really rude. Hes helping her."
She pouted at the woman, Kiara didnt like her much already. She seemed really bossy.

Chrono - October 25, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
"I'm sorry about my rude appearance. However to a trouble maker like yourself that shouldn't be much of a problem. Please quit pouting it makes you look like a child." She told the childish half dragon. truth be told she didn't have to even read her mind as she already had good idea as the the girls personality. She turned her attention to the angel. "I again apologize but I get a little on edge when my sword gets this way.

Kiara_Lenaya - October 25, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
Kiara made up her mind. She didnt like this woman.
She didnt stop pouting though.
She leapt gracefully of the rock, landing on the ground near the woman.
"Just 'cause your sword does some magic trick doesnt mean you should be rude." She said, her sword hanging in her hand, almost forgotten.
"Who are you anyways?" she asked, cocking her head and raising an eyebrow.
"Ive never seen you before."

Chrono - October 25, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
"You don't have to like me. Most of the people I know don't in the begining. However I will give you my name in exchange for yours. I'm Chrono, A half dragon from the mountains." She spoke to the older half dragon. "And also my sword doesn't burst to flame like this for no reason at all. It does that when someone evil is around. And trust me it takes alot of evil to make it burn like this. "

Sarce Livial - October 25, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
The fatigue that was overwhelming Sarce’s body was almost too much to bear as he ran, and yet he knew that he had to go on, Shaye needed his commitment and he wouldn’t let her down. It was his act of kindness, his act of redemption for his sins but he knew that he couldn’t be stopped, he wouldn’t be stopped. Or that was what he hoped.

As he ran towards the edge of Taurai Woods, he could sense a familiar presence, Kiara. This was all that Sarce needed, the distraction that he loved to be distracted with. It was ironic, knowing that he had committed himself to not be distracted and she comes along. This would be a fun meeting, though Sarce didn’t want it to be.

He heard her voice, asking what was happening, and he struggled to answer her. He didn’t know what was happening nor did he know what was going to happen, he just knew that Shaye needed some help, from someone she could trust. Whether that was him, he didn’t know. He just wanted to offer his utmost support to her.

As one distraction came, another came along, another half-dragon was rather rude and impolite to both Kiara and to Sarce, accusing Sarce of dark intentions. He would’ve laughed if it had not been in such a grave circumstance. Why did it happen to him? Why did he have to curse his circumstances? He tries to help someone and he gets distracted and accused. How nice.

Sarce couldn’t answer the many questions that were being imposed upon him, both from Kiara and from the woman whom he did not know, but he knew that an argument were to erupt. He was correct. Kiara and the woman instantly took a disliking to one another and they began bickering over an almost pointless subject, of which he did not know what it was. He had to stop the argument.

“Shut up!” Sarce shouted. “That is quite enough. Kiara, I am glad to see you, I never expected to see you again, you truly are full of surprises.” He said before kissing her on both cheeks. “You, however,” turning to the other woman, “I have not had the pleasure of meeting and I care not for introductions. You have accused me of dark intentions when I am simply attempting to help a friend. You are not needed nor do I care for your advice.” Sarce shouted bluntly, caring not for the blazing swords that she held.

Chrono - October 25, 2006 10:13 PM (GMT)
"You presume too much Fallen one. I only asked you what had happened." She looked over the angels fatigued body and sighed. "you look tired. you should find a place to rest." She simply looked around at the ragtag group and sighed even more. "now I see why you have fallen. You are much too conflicting for your own good and you lash out at others when you are placed in a situation that conflicts with your personality. So heed this fallen one. I only wanted to help." She turned and called her stallion. Shaking her head at the fallen angel as she mounted and road off. "What a fool."

Kiara watched as the other halfdragon woman named Chrono mounted her horse and began to ride off.
"Wait!" She shouted.
"I see you dont care for Scarce, but please at least help the girl if you can. My name is Kiara." Kiara said.
She rather disliked having to sound pleading to this girl, but she was obviously devoted to the light and could probably have some healing powers. Those kinda people usually did, one of the perks for them.
Kiara couldnt heal more than a cut without bandages, and the woman obviously needed more than bandages.

She stopped her horse in its tracks and turned to the other female half dragon. She simply shook her head. "Unless I know what happend I would never know what to do." She turned around. " So unless you are ready to cooperate with me I think it would be better if I just left and never get involved with your lives ever again."

The woman stopped and shook her head saying, "Unless I know what happend I would never know what to do."
The halfdragon turned around.
"So unless you are ready to cooperate with me I think it would be better if I just left and never get involved with your lives ever again." she said.
Kiara looked at Scarce.
"You know shes the best bet." she said to him.
Scarce seemed to always be on a hunt to be as good as possible. Maybe this was the chance, both for the girl and him.
"What happened to her?" she asked.

Sarce Livial - October 27, 2006 12:02 PM (GMT)
Sarce’s dark emotions were building within him, the different people of speaking of different things, angering and confusing him. It was as though he were torn between the two, Good and Evil, trying to help Shaye, to free her from the chaotic memories that haunted her, this was the Good. The evil was the emotion collecting within his heart, anger, hatred and rage all collective in a single body, close to the point of explosion. He didn’t know what to do, who to fight for and how he could do it.

He wanted to help Shaye, to offer his support and comfort, or what was left of his support and comfort and yet this woman who stood close to him wanted to stop him from doing so, she wanted to take the glory and power that would come from helping Shaye. Sarce didn’t like it, but he knew that it was Shaye’s only chance of recovery from the darkness.

"Unless I know what happened I would never know what to do."

The words like daggers, slicing into each limb, forcing him to answer her questions even though he wanted to run, to escape. He knew that he had to explain, to tell her of the dark mage and of the spell that he had cast, but why did it have to be to someone so rude and ignorant? That question would never be answered, he would have to make do with her.

“As much I do not like you, nor do I believe that it is of your business, I will explain what has happened. Myself, Shaye and another woman who’s name I did not catch, were conversing in the woods, in a clearing when I felt a dark presence other than my own, it was a Mage and he had cast a spell that causes all dark and chaotic memories to fill the mind, I was not affected as greatly as Shaye because I am of the Darkness and experience these memories almost every day.” He paused, trying to grasp what he was saying.

“I attempted to find the presence and to kill it, as any man would for such a beautiful young woman, and I found the presence shortly after I began searching, but before I had a chance to attack, Shaye was screaming and crying, I knew I had to go to her and I offered to carry her away from the woods, to free her from the memories. And that is how you noticed me running with a young woman, I was trying to help her, I had no dark intentions.” He said.

He wondered whether this woman had any way to counter the spell, or to reverse the effects of the spell but he would have to ask for her help then, and that was something Sarce did not like. He cursed under his breath, slowly took a deep breath and decided to speak again.

“If there was any other way I could help, I would’ve but I am no mage and I do not know the incantations nor the knowledge to counter the spell and thus I decided to run, to run towards the edge of the woods, where the spell would have a minimal effect. If you could help, it would be greatly appreciated.” Sarce said, low and quietly, before finally bowing his head.
