The man led the way Umbra not too far behind, her dagger in his hand. "Don't worry it is not much further. Ah here we are." He said pointing at a small cave with a pile of sticks in the middle of it. He motioned them inside it. "Here you all can rest up. Don't worry Khaos has never been immune to earth powers. Only fire. But that still does not matter, one good fire phoenix attack and he is out for the count." He said with a laugh.

Umbra looked at him as she entered; something is not right here, she thought as she sat down. The man followed her inside and lit the fire. "Here, a fire to drive the fog from our bones. That is what your mother always said Umbra. She always seemed wise in the ways of dealing with illnesses. With a child like you getting into everything that was a talent best used." He laughed. "Forgive me but I think I have yet to tell you my name. It is Cain'arus. I am a friend of Rumasak, Umbra's father." He said and Umbra looked at him. "No Umbra. Khaos never has and never will be your father. Here have something to eat." He said pulling out a sack with meat and fruits. "Help yourselves" he said.

Shadow had followed Umbra and the man to the cave. He walked in and sat down crosslegged. He then heard as the man said "Here you all can rest up. The man then gave his name "Forgive me but I think I have yet to tell you my name. It is Cain'arus. I am a friend of Rumasak, Umbra's father." Shadow then spoke "Sorry to rain on your parade Cain'arus, but Khaos isn't that easy to defeat. The last time we faced him was in the swamp of Misty forest and it took the merging of me another warrior and Umbra to defeat him, and I made sure that his soul would never be released. So someone must have released him somehow." Shadow continued to think on that thought and waited for Blade to join them in the cave.

Blade was behind everyone as he wanted to stay behind alittle ways to make sure that no one had followed him. he was surrounded by his animals and bodyguard that would never leave him unless instructed to. when they got to the cave that the rest entered, blade instructed his bodyguard to stay on the outside to make sure that no one came in without him knowing. he then went in with his animals becuase he wanted them to rest. but the puppy wanted balde to sit down. when he let his eyes adjust to the cave he sat down on the cool floor as to see what his pup needed. the little cerebus came up to him and jumped up into his lap and fell asleep. "So, what exactly are we supposed to do to defeat khaos so that he doesn't come and try and kill umbra?" he asked.

Umbra watched the man who called himself Cain'arus dig into a bag and bring out some fish "Sorry to rain on your parade Cain'arus, but Khaos isn't that easy to defeat. The last time we faced him was in the swamp of Misty forest and it took the merging of me another warrior and Umbra to defeat him, and I made sure that his soul would never be released. So someone must have released him somehow.". "These fish are still good. I caught them before I met up with you guys. Although it is great to see you Umbra, I must say that I did not recognize you till your friends said your name. Thats when I knew I needed to jump in." he said as Blade entered. She watched him put the fish on sticks and placed them near the fire. She looked impatient as Blade and Shadow's questions hung in the air not even acknowledged.

"HEY. I think Shadow and Blade asked you something." she said. He turned and shook his head. "Like he told you, Khaos is a necromancer and a powerful manipulator. He has manipulated many people including Umbra's parents. You cannot seal him up like some evil spirit. Khaos can only be defeated by one who possesses such power. You may have been able to defeat him by teaming up but the only way to finish him is casting Ultimate Sacrifice. Only one who possesses the Moon Demon Aura can do such a feat." he said looking at Umbra as if she should know what he was talking about.

"Moon...Demon...Aura? My Visions! That is what is causing my dreams isn't it?" she exclaimed. The man nodded signifying that she was correct. "The Moon Demon Aura is a special trait passed from parent to child. However it somehow skipped Khaos. And with good fortune I might add. But that is another story. Come you three must eat and rest while Khaos is still on the hunt. Do not worry, I know Khaos well, and he will follow those illusions of us untill they disappear." he said placing more fish on the fire.

Shadow was astonished to hear that something like that had to be done. He walked over to Umbra and whispered in her ear. "Umbra I have a bad feeling about this. I don't trust this guy Umbra. There has to be some other way to defeat Khaos." Shadow turned his head away and looked at Cain'arus then to Blade. Then saying to himself. "There has to be some other way instead of having to do a sacrafice." Shadow began to think.

"And now that i think about, i'm kind of shocked that khaos is not umbra's father like he had said. but now that i think about there is no traits between him and umbra." said blade as he took out his skull shredder and other daggers and started to sharpen them. "And what type of sacerfice is it that we would have to do. because if willing, i will give my life to destory khaos to save umbra and everyone else in this world. becuase i don't want to have eveyone who is involved with umbra ti be hurt becuase if what has happened so far."

Umbra leaned against the cave wall as the man turned and began to cook the fish, she narrowed her eyes as Shadow crept towards her. She listened and watched him as Shadow whispered to her. "Umbra I have a bad feeling about this. I don't trust this guy Umbra. There has to be some other way to defeat Khaos." They both watched Cain'arus as he spoke. She narrowed her eyes as Blade joined them. She felt better now that his bodyguard was nearby but she was really uneasy about this guy.

"And now that i think about, i'm kind of shocked that khaos is not umbra's father like he had said. but now that i think about there is no traits between him and umbra." said Blade, "And what type of sacerfice is it that we would have to do. because if willing, i will give my life to destory khaos to save umbra and everyone else in this world. becuase i don't want to have eveyone who is involved with umbra ti be hurt becuase if what has happened so far." he finished as he began to sharpen his blades. She nodded then turned and looked at Cain'arus then leaned forwards.

"I know what you mean Shadow. I seriously agree. This guy knows a lot about me and Khaos...Too much. Keep you eyes open and don't let your guard down. Keep your hand on your sword and be ready. But this is the scary part that makes me uneasy. I feel deep down that I know this guy. Whoever he is, and I seriously doubt he is who he says. But I do know what he means by this "Ultimate Sacrifice" but I do know I don't like it. Keep on your toes everyone." she whispered looking at the man as he turned. "You three sit tight, dinner will be ready soon." he said and sat next to the fire.

Shadow shook his head in agreement. He then said to himslef. "This is all to strange. I agree with Umbra on this. He knows way to much about Khaos and Umbra. While we are here I am not going to rest, I am going to keep watch at all times to make sure this guy doesn't try anything. If my theory is right, this guy is working with Khaos tring to get us to let our gaurd down. Well that is not going to happen, and to help us out here I am going to call for Saphira." Shadow stood up. "I will be right back I am goign to go and do something." Shadow walked out of the cave. He then turned to his right and headed for a small clearing and whistled. After whistling his hawk came down and landed on his shoulder. "Saphira listen very carefully. I want you to stay with us at all times. Until I say so, something strange is going on and we need to protect Umbra." The hawk jerked her head forward in agreement as well and flew off. Shadow then returned to the cave and sat down by Umbra, Blade and the fire. After he sat down Saphira swopped in and perched herself on Shadow's leg. Shadow looked at Umbra and shook his head hoping that she knew why Shadow brought his hawk down into the cave.

Blade knew that there was something strange going on but he didn't know what, he knew that if this guy was really working for khaos, he would come while they were eating. mainly because they would be preoccupied trying to eat that by the time everyone would be able to defend themselves, they would be goners. "Umbra, why don't we try testing this guy to see if he does work for khaos. then if he is, then we could leave before khaos shows up. plus i can give us cover with smoke." he whispered to umbra as he set his skull shredder in its hilt and took out his other two daggers.

Umbra saw Shadow nod in agreement. She knew he was thinking of something but what she was not sure of. "I will be right back I am goign to go and do something." he said and got up and left. Umbra pulled out her dagger and examined it as Blade sharpened his, as if him sharpening his made her consider if hers needed sharpening as well but in reality she was thinking. Soon Shadow returned and his hawk also flew in. She knew if he had his hawk come in he was scheming.

Blade also was thinking and soon he whispered "Umbra, why don't we try testing this guy to see if he does work for khaos. then if he is, then we could leave before khaos shows up. plus i can give us cover with smoke." she nodded in agreement then a smirk crossed her face but only long enough for them to know she had a plan. "I have an idea. Follow my lead and try to keep up." she said then turned to Cain'arus. "Cain'arus. I never learned about my parents don't you think you could tell me about them? Maybe what they looked like or my grandparents even. I always wondered what my mother was like." she said hoping that this guy would fall into her trap. If he knew as much as she thought then her idea could be true. "Umbra your parents would be proud to know you are alive. Rumasak made a lot of mistakes. The greatest of them was trusting Khaos. He was the one who did this to your parents, not your father. Rumasak kne...If Rumasak knew you were alive I am sure he would have been the one to bring you to safety not me. But Rumasak died a long time ago. At the hands of Khaos. Just as your mother did, but you... you had the protection and knowledge of both your parents and was immune to his power of manipulation. I am glad that you were given that ability. If you had stayed with Khaos when you first encountered him...He might have...He would alter your memory so you would become his servant and never leave him. I am glad that you saw through it. You have the intuition of your mother." he said.

Shadow listened closely at what Cain'arus was saying. He had his eyes closed listening for the slightest change in his tone. "This guy is either really really good at keeping his calm or he is telling the truth. One thing is for sure is that I still don't trust this guy. Let's see if we can earn his trust on the battle feild when we fight again." Shadow said to himself.

Umbra watched Shadow as he listened, eyes closed. She knew he was listening for any stumbling. She had heard enough to gain a slight understanding. Suddenly she turned to Cain'arus, Wait! Where have I heard the name Cain'arus before. It was a word... Suddenly a look of realization crossed her face but quickly looked away so no one knew what she remembered.

The man stuck some more fish on a stick and placed them on the fire. He sat down and sighed, probably figuring that the three companions did not trust a word he said. "Umbra, I think it is best you know the truth about your past. This is the truth so I know you can believe every word of it. Long ago about two years before you were born, your mother Arella and your father Rumasak fell in love. Needless to say…Their parents were not too thrilled. They tried to keep their love a secret but unfortunately they were hunted down by Rumasak's parents. Unfortunately, I could not keep them hidden. Rumasak wanted to go to Khaos for help but I begged him not to, you all probably can already tell that I do not trust Khaos at all. In the end I went to Khaos and asked him for help. That was my biggest mistake" He said handing her a fish that was cooking on the fire.

Umbra took the fish not sure if she should eat it or hit him on the head with it for thinking she was stupid. He gave one to Blade and Shadow before continuing. "He took them to Dori'ba. There he kept them safe for two years untill Umbra was born. When she was born Khaos kept me away from the home by use of his necromacy. He convinced Rumasak that I was a threat. I stayed here where I could keep an eye on the house and stay away. Three years after Umbra's birth I found smoke rising from the house. I dashed as fast as I could to the house where I found Arella dead. I ran inside calling for Umbra. I found her room with Khaos holding her. After getting her away from him I hid her and then left laying a false trail. What happened after that is Umbra's story." He finished. Umbra leaned against the cave wall and looked out through the trees. "Is that all you want to share or would you like to tell us the truth now?" she asked.

Shadow continued to listen to his babbling. He had heard a slight change in his voice but not distinc enough to tell if he was lieing or telling the truth. Shadow opened his eyes and saw Cain'arus put some fish infront of him. Shadow picked up this fish and burnt it until it turned to ash. "No thanks for the fish I will stick to my own food thank you." Shadow pulled out some jerky and began to eat it." Shadow sat there listening to Umbra as she asked her question.

The man jumped up in defence, "Are you calling me a liar?" he demanded completely ignoring the fact Shadow charred the food he gave him. She shook her head. "No just a good story teller. You see there are a lot of inconsistancies in your story. If you hated Khaos then why did you trust him with my father's life. And then how could you know that there was smoke from the house." She pointed down the cave entrance. "The house is miles away from here. You could not see the smoke or the flames from here and the house would have been made of straw and wood you would have never gotten there in time from here even with a teleportation spell. And then there is the fact of me, how could you easily find my room if you have never been in the house yourself? And Moon Demons are very rare, few even know about my Moon Demon Aura nor how it works except a moon demon themselves." she said. And then a smile crossed her face. "And your name even says you are not speaking the full truth. Cain'arun is derived from the two demon words Cainau meaning "truth" and Aruanas meaning "Story" the two together are Cain'arun meaning "Teller of half truths" or "Story teller" for even stories have some truth in them. I do not think that is your name at all." She got up and walked over to the man. "Cain'arun... YOU are my father. YOU ARE RUMASAK!" she said and grabbed for his mask, but he stepped back and she clutched both the mask and cloak. As he was moving back he lost his balance and fell as Umbra pulled. The clasp on the cloak snapped off and he fell to the ground, the dark cloak broke away revealing armour with the same symbol that matches the one on the clasp on Umbra's cloak. The two stared at each other the man's face looked in surprise at Umbra his dark eyes unmoving from her as she watched him. Umbra's glare did not falter as she looked into the eyes of an adult male version of herself.

The man watched Umbra for a while gaze unmoving. His head lowered and began to shake, then a great laugh was heard as he threw his head backwards and he cluched his stomach after a few moments. He got up smiling, looking at Umbra, "You were always one to see things more than what they were. Since you know who I am I think it is best I introduce myself properly. I am Rumasak, Umbra's Father and the last Knight of the Demons of the Moon."

Shadow sat there listeneing and then he opened his eyes. "Finally the truth comes out of your own mouth. Don't be so surprised at Umbra that she figured it out. She is one smart person and a great fighter to boot as well. I should know it took us almost two days to finish up a little rematch." Shadow stood up and stretched out a bit. "So now that your identity is revealed Rumasak, how are we going to deal with Khaos?" Shadow waited paitently for an answer.

"Finally the truth comes out of your own mouth. Don't be so surprised at Umbra that she figured it out. She is one smart person and a great fighter to boot as well. I should know it took us almost two days to finish up a little rematch." said Shadow and Rumasak looked at him and then at the ground, a look of regret crossed his face but quickly dissapeared into a look of concentration as he tried to hold back the longing he had. He watched as Shadow streached out and stood up, Rumasak leaned against the side of the cavern.

"So now that your identity is revealed Rumasak, how are we going to deal with Khaos?" Rumasak looked away at the shadows darting on the cave walls as the flames moved. Umbra watched still cluching the cape, watching the shine on his armor move as he stood unmoving. She could tell he was deciding his words, trying to play a plan in his head that would work. He looked at Blade then Shadow and finally made eye contact with Umbra. "There is no easy way to talk about this. Khaos is a hard evil to defeat. The fact he controls the dead is a challenge in itself considering where we are. However I think I know how to stop him..."he said and walked to the cave entrance and looked at the stars that appeared in the sky. Sunset happened sooner than expected, which hopefully was a good thing. "Khaos...He does not have the power of the Moon Demon Aura, the Demon's Eye. It skipped him and continued its circut to me. Which is good meaning he can't Scry like Umbra and I can. I think our best chance is to ambush him." He got down and began drawing in the dirt a rectangle and then some arrows. "Khaos will eventually figure out that I tricked him, and knowing him he will smell my blood from the cut I got when I was comming here. So at that time I will be his target not Umbra, which will allow us a chance. I'll go out to the grave of Arella and wait there, Shadow we need you to hide in the house, the back door is directly in front of the grave, you can easily get ranged magic attacks in from there and still have cover. Blade...Being a Vampire you will be best used in the shadows of the tree line." He said drawing X's as to where they would be. Umbra...I am counting on you to be above me at the ready in the trees." Umbra nodded but still had a look of disappointment. She knew something else was up that he did not want Blade and Shadow to know. "I'll give the signal when Khaos is in position. Then we will strike on all sides. Shadow from the front Blade and Migan from the sides, Myself from the back and Umbra from the top. The trick is to wear him out, exaust him so he cannot use his mana any longer then I'll go in for the final strike. You all get that?" he said. He closed his eyes and searched for Khaos. He was climbing up the crevice. And the illusion clones were waiting for him to get to the top, they would last as far as the barrows then dissappear, long enough for them to rest and then set up. We have quite a while, I say we get some rest and eat up. We have time, but once he sees the illusions for what they are he will turn around and follow my scent."

Shadow listened intentivly to Rumasak. Shadow knew that he wasn't telling everyone something. After hearing the plan Shadow wanted to hear everything else Rumasak had to say so Shadow demanded Rumasak to spill it. "Ok Rumasak we have a plan but their is something your not telling us. So spill it, what else is there that you don't want us to hear. Were not stupid we know your hiding something else so you might as well tell us what it is."

"I think I'll go and get some more wood, C'mon Migan" Umbra said as she got up and walked out with Migan close behind. Rumasak gave a sigh as he waited for the fog to cover Umbra. "Shadow..." he began as he watched her go certian she was out of earshot. "Shadow, its hard to explain. What really happened that day...I had gone out to get some things, it was Umbra's sixth birthday and Arella and I wanted to do something special for her. So I went out and got presents for her. One of them was the dagger she carries...It belonged to my mother...When I got back I found Arella on the ground. She was weak, a poisoned arrow was in her side, the toxins already took effect. She told me Umbra was in danger so I ran inside and found Khaos with her." He put his head in his hand, "It was at that moment I realized the truth, Khaos had betrayed me and I fell for his every trick. He held Umbra threateningly, thinking that I would not harm him if he held my daughter. I hit him hard with a fireball...the dried wood caught fire quickly as he fell and I caught her. I ran out the door grabbing the dagger and her blanket. I summoned an Air Elemental...A good friend of mine who wrapped her blanket around a rock and took it with her, I placed Umbra in the tower near the Grasslands hiding her there after which I ran hoping he would think one of us had her. He went after my friend who easily escaped. When I went back for her...she... She had...she was gone." he said turning from them and faced the wall trying to hold back the onslaught of emotions and keep himself from crying.

"Shadow...I pray that you will never have to face the fear of losing your child. When Umbra was no where to be found I...I did not know what to think or do. I searched everywhere, scryed as much as I could and yet I never found her. I left Arda a month after that and headded back home...but my thoughts kept going back to her, I had dreams of Umbra every night, nightmares of things I could have protected her from but never got there in time to save her. And now...twelve years later. I finally see her once again. The regret of what I should have done. The knowledge that she should have been with me all these years. That Khaos..." he said punching the wall. "Khaos manipulated me just as he always did. I knew the dangers of going to my brother for help but I felt...He made me think that I had no other choice. I put my life in his hands and he played me as a fool and I almost lost my daugther to him. I...I was such an idiot!" he said dropping to his knees and leaned over on his hands, tears rolled down his cheek as he repeated to himself in a whisper, "I was an idiot...I was such an idiot."

Umbra walked picking up some dried wood as Migan followed from the trees. "What was that about?" he asked. She shook her head without a word and Migan stopped knowing she knew what Rumasak was thinking. But what was in Umbra's mind now? She had no family till just five minuets ago and now it was her decision to make. "What do you think?" he asked. "I am not sure...I want to have a father but..." she said her voice trailing. "But it is something that you could never truely have?" Migan asked. She said nothing and picked up another log. "Lets head back, this should do it." she said and they turned to go to the cave once again."

Shadow carefully listened and was a bit upset to hear all of it. "Your first mistake Rumasak was leaving her in the first place. You knew that Khaos was going to find Umbra eventually. Second of all the only thing that matter now is that her father is here now, try to make the best of what time is left before fighting Khaos." Shadow walked to the cave entrance. "Oh and about the remark of me having a family I only have a brother, and I haven't the slightest idea if I have any more family. I have no memory of my past at all. Right now I am just trying to find a way to get my answers I need." Shadow turned back around and faced Rumasak. "But this is not about me right now. This is about Umbra and keeping her alive. Rumasak when this is all over you should spend some time with your daughter, exchange your life stories and catch up with each other...that is if we survive this."

Blade declined the fish for he pulled out a raw fish and sucked on where the neck would of been. he was suprised that umbra found out that the person that took them here was her father, he got up and asked him, "So I just have one question for you, since you are umbra's father, then how come you didn't reveal yourselve as soon as we got here?"

Rumasak gritted his teeth as Shadow began to speak, knowing that although he was much older than the half pheonix boy who was in front of him, Shadow was wiser and stronger than he was. "Your first mistake Rumasak was leaving her in the first place. You knew that Khaos was going to find Umbra eventually. Second of all the only thing that matter now is that her father is here now, try to make the best of what time is left before fighting Khaos." He got up and leaned on the wall of the cave wiping his eyes with the bottom of his hand trying to get rid of the tears, "Oh and about the remark of me having a family I only have a brother, and I haven't the slightest idea if I have any more family. I have no memory of my past at all. Right now I am just trying to find a way to get my answers I need. But this is not about me right now. This is about Umbra and keeping her alive. Rumasak when this is all over you should spend some time with your daughter, exchange your life stories and catch up with each other...that is if we survive this." Rumasak looked up at Shadow giving him the same half smile that Umbra used. "Shadow, you are wiser than you may take yourself for...I am glad Umbra has a friend like you. Especially in times like these."

Blade got up and made a comment himself after listening. "So I just have one question for you, since you are umbra's father, then how come you didn't reveal yourselve as soon as we got here?" Rumasak looked at him for a moment then shook his head. He crossed his arms and looked out into the fog waiting for Umbra to appear. "Blade, to be honest. I have actually seen you all more than this one time. Although this is the first time I have met Shadow, I know well of you. Only when I first encountered you and your friends you were known as Adrion, adn you traveled here with Umbra, Malisaro, Sky and Alamor." he said looking at him. "I believe I first took notice when I felt a presence here that was unknown. I returned to the house to find you all entering. I watched you three but never showed myself...because it is no longer my place." he said with a somewhat difficult expression.

"The man I used to be, Rumasak, died that day. I mean Umbra's father, when I let her go...A part of me died. The father that was her protector. I know what I did was wrong but I knew Khaos did not find her because that was the reason I left Arda. Wherever she was, whoever found her, was in danger because of me. So I led Khaos on a chase of Cat and Mouse, staying one step ahead of him. The day I found him and we fought he ran back to Arda. That is why I came back." he said knowing they probably would not approve or think the way he did. But he knew they were greater than he was in many ways. He turned and saw Umbra comming back and walked out and took some logs from her. "Here let me help." he said, "So how was it? Do you need something else to eat? I got plenty in my cave" he said knowing he sounded lame but tried to get a conversation started taking Shadow's advice. "Thanks. I am still hungry yes. Maybe some more fish or fruit." she said matching his tone.

"Oh yes i remember those days when i was younger. but about a year after that i was trying to destroy armor that may have been used or haunted by someone near close to alamor and I was taken in by one and there for, it forced me to change the look of my body and name." said blade as he smiled and knew taht this man was trying to protect umbra. "Also I never seen anyone else but umbra from that fight."

Shadow gave a small smile as he saw Rumasak trying to make best of the time he had with Umbra before they fight. "Umbra give him chance, you have a father try to make the best of what you both have now." saying to himslef. Shadow turned and went to a dark part of the cave and went to sleep to regain some energy.

Umbra placed the wood on the ground near the fire but not so close it would burn. Rumasak fished in his sack and took out some food which he placed on a stick and put it near the fire to cook. He added some more wood to the fire and looked outside trying to think, about now Khaos would be following the illusions. That would mean they had about a half hour. An hour at most before he reached them. That would be enough time. He turned and saw Shadow turn over and fall asleep. He looked at Blade adn then at Umbra.

Umbra sat down near the fire and gave a small shiver. Rumasak took his cloak and wrapped it around her and sat down nearby, "Hey." he said looking at her, she pulled the cloak over her and looked at him and smiled. He looked at Shadow not sure where to begin, he blew up and turned to her. "So how have you been?" "I have been alright...Same as always." she said looking into the fire. Rumasak rubbed his arm, the armor felt cool against his palm. "So, what happened? I had gone back to get you when I lost Khaos but you were not there."

Umbra looked down. "Someone found me. A male drow was exploring to see if there was anything to scavenge adn he found me. He took me to a camp, we called it Aruk- Kaai; village of outcasts. There I was raised by everyone. I had some good friends there, Zenaku, Tarjin, and Kail were some of them. They taught me a lot about the world. It was really great, we had little but we had enough. One day we were attacked by a bunch of shadow beings. When it was all over only Zenaku, Tarjin, Kail, Jaudan a half elf, and Maintu were left. We split up after that and I basicly have been on my own since then." she said.

As Shadow fell asleep he began to dream. His dream started out like any other normal day of his life, peace and quiet enjoying the beauty of the world around him. He walked around inhis dream and looked up at the sky watching the clouds pass by. Then in an instance lightning,thunder, and the sky turned black. This was normal for Shadow becuase whereever he went trouble always followed him. "Can't I even have one day of peace." A bolt of lightning struck the ground and a figure appeared. "Who are you, what do you want here." The figure pulled out a weapon and then spoke. "You don't need to know my name, and I am here becuase my master has chosen you to help others like me destroy Arda. I am here to take you to him." "I will never destroy Arda. Tell your master that it is not going to work." The figure charged at Shadow with immense speed and knocked him out. When Shadow woke up in his dream he was strapped to a table and a necromancer stood in front of him. "Good your awake. Now we can begin the process of changing you to our side." "I will never...turn to evil." "You don't have a choice you are one of the chosen ones." The necromancer walked up to Shadow and put his hands on Shadow's head and they began to glow. The necromancer began to change all the memories in Shadow's mind and then Shadow's body began to change to a purple color and his flame powers turned black. Then a flash happened in his mind and Shadow was destroying Arda. "Retribution shall fall upon all the inhabitants of Arda and their is no one to stop me." Then in the dream everyone of Shadow's friends showed including his brother and they all began to fight him. One by one they fell and the only one left to fight was Umbra. "Well Umbra it seems we are the only ones left." "Why are you doing this Shadow, you destroyed all of your friends and you killed your only brother." "Friends...yeah right. I have no friends. You guys have tried to stop me since I came to Arda, and now I am almost done removing you from this planet. Now prepare to die." Shadow and Umbra began to clash in the dream and Shadow struck Umbra down. "I am victorius." Shadow then snapped out of his dream and when he came to he was sweating and he had melted a hole in the roof of the cave.

Umbra and Rumasak sat quietly next to eachother resting by the fire, she looked over and found Shadow had fallen asleep. "I am gonna go check outside, see how much time we have left." she nodded and looked at Blade not sure what to think. She moved over to the wall of the cave and layed down looking up at the rocky celing analizing the cracks that time had given. Suddenly she heard someone groan she turned to find Shadow moving his head back and forth. "Hey Shadow you alright?" she asked rolling over and looking up at him as he began shouting in his sleep. "I will never...turn to evil." he said. She got up on her knees and tried to say something but went silent at his next words, "Retribution shall fall upon all the inhabitants of Arda and their is no one to stop me."

She got up and moved quickly towards him as she tried to shake him awake, "Shadow GET UP NOW!" she commanded. "Well Umbra it seems we are the only ones left." he said and suddenly she recoiled as he shouted at her as he dreamt "Friends...yeah right. I have no friends. You guys have tried to stop me since I came to Arda, and now I am almost done removing you from this planet. Now prepare to die." Her hands jolted back as he heated up and she fell back as a fire attack flew up from him. "Gunngh." she said grabbing her burned arm. She watched him jolt up and sweating, looking up she seen him notice the hole in the celing. She got up and went to him and placed her hand on his shoulder. "It is alright Shadow, I am here." she said as the burn turned red. She watched him ignoring the wound and hoped he did as well but knowing shadow she did not make any calls.

Blade jumped up when shadow had burned a hole into the ceiling and saw umbra get burned. he said his healing spell and tried healing umbra from a little distance so she can still tend to shadow. soon his bodyguard grunted and blade heard a clash between the bodyguards weapon and metal. blades panther brought in blades armor and helment. "I guess it's time to go and fight who evers out there. umbra, stay here and tend to shadow while i take care of whats outside." he said. he took out his skull shredder and his two handed sword and lit them on fire and went outside and fought the demons outside. he yelled into the cave, "UMBRA! IT'S KHAOS'S DEMONS!!!"

Shadow was awake and confused from his dream. He saw Umbra next to him but didn't say anything out loud. "Was that a dream or was it a vision. Is that supposed to be my fate, am I supposed to turn against my brother, and friends and kill them, am I supposed to kill all the ones that I hold so close. No it can't be I belive in creating my own fate and destiny, no one controls it, no one controls." Shadow held his head in his hand. He then noticed that he had burned Umbra's arm. "Umbra i'm sorry, I didn't mean too." A few seconds went by and Blade got up and said "UMBRA! IT'S KHAOS'S DEMONS!!!" Shadow looked at her "Go on I will be right out."

Blade got up as she rubbed her arm casting dark regeneration as she rubbed it to make the burn heal faster. "I guess it's time to go and fight who evers out there. umbra, stay here and tend to shadow while i take care of whats outside." She nodded and turned to him. Shadow still appeared to be in shock. "Umbra i'm sorry, I didn't mean too." he said holding his head with his hand. She did not look at him and went back to her old ways for a moment, "Dont worry about it. I am fine, I've had worse ya know!" she snapped but then realized what she had said. She held her arm finishing hte healing, "Sorry...I am alright Shadow, you should know better than to think a simple burn would bring me down." she smiled then put her hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry Shadow. Whatever it was, it was a dream..." she was about to tell him that he shouted in his nightmare but she was interupted by Blades voice.

"UMBRA! IT'S KHAOS'S DEMONS!!!" She turned and looked outside to find Blade fighting four shadow demons. Apparently Khaos had learned from his last encounter with Rumasak. She got up but remembered Shadow. "Go on I will be right out." She was not sure about leaving Shadow alone. The last time she left a friend after a nightmare...well the friend was no longer a friend. She turned to Migan. "Watch over Shadow. I will be back." Migan nodded and Umbra ran out launching a Magic Missile. "Khaos apparently learned from his first mistake and sent out scouts to look for us." she said. The spell impacted and the Shadow Demon flew back and decentagrated "Well they aren't that hard to beat, but then again that one had taken some big hits before I did." she said as she helped Blade.

Blade took his sword and put it away as he turned around as he took out his katars and quickly turned around as he stabbed two other shadow deamons in the heart and they disentagrated. he kept turning around and stabbing shadow deamons as he said, "Where the heck do these demons come from, their all over the place."

Umbra swung her sword slashing one shadow after another. She felt the burning anger of having to fight them. She slashed one after another fighting to win this battle. "Where the heck do these demons come from, their all over the place." She rolled her eyes, she knew well the answer. Khaos had mastered the ability to manipulate Shadow monsters. He must have called out hordes of them. "These guys are getting on my nerves...Heads up Blade" she said.

She raised her hand and chanted silently. Suddenly peices of falling debris fell from the sky and impacted with the Shadow monsters as they continued to fight. She jumped out of the way of a few of them and soon when the dust settled not a single shadow demon stood. "Well that solves our shadow demon problem...Lets get back inside. Huh...." she said as she saw Rumasak walking towards them. "I saw the attack what happened?" he asked a little too calmly. She shook her head. "Nothing, just training." she said as she walked back into the cave. Rumasak looked at her then at Blade like he would have the answers. Then he shrugged and followed her in.

(sorry it took me so long to post. i reinstalled mcafee on my computer at home and it messed up the internet. so i have to use my grandma's computer to do everything.)

Shadow got up and shook off the thought he had about the dream. He then picked up his sword and walked outside finding Umbra and Blade fighting shadows. "Blades aren't gong to work on these things." Shadow pulled out his fist of mazzer and went in to help. "If that dream was a vision then I can't let any evil survive. All evil must be destroyed no matter waht the cost." saying to himself. Shadow went after the third shadow, it charged at him and was abut to stike when Shadow swung and struck the shadow in the head. Then Shadow continously beat the thing with the fist of mazzer until it dissipated. Shadow stopped and was breathing heavily, takeing deep breaths. From moving and non stop attacking the shadow his lungs felt as if they were in fire, so Shadow was breathing in deep to keep them from feeling the way they did. After resting Shadow got up and went back to attacking. Once he was finished he walked back into the cave and dropped his equipment on the ground. Shadow didn't notice until after dropping his equipment that he was hit by the shadow on his right side. The spot where he was hit began to darken. Shadow didn't want to alert anyone by his injury so he quickly attached his night cloak of stealth as a blanket and went back to sleep.

Blade was trying to kill off some of the shadow demons when he heard objects falling from the sky. he looked up and saw that umbra casted a spell. he dodged the debri as he also noticed that shadow came out as well to help them. but he knew he should try to rest and that was when he saw that shadow was hit by one of the demons. so once the fight was over, he walked inside and he called to his fly dragon and said to him, "You know what to do." and the dragon flew over and lit up trying to heal shadow's wounds.

Shadow didn't notice Blade's dragonfly. As Shadow once again slept he kept his mind clear of all thoughts, so that he would not have anymore dreams. A few hours went by and Shadow woke up feeling a little distorted and weak. His body ached and he was breathing heavily. He also had a feeling that Khaos was about to start some more trouble. "Guys I have a bad feeling that Khaos is about to come out of the crevice. We better get ready for another fight." Shadow stood up and shook of the distortion but was a litle bit wobbly, he was then able to shake that off too. Then saying to himself. "No time to rest, need to save Umbra from Khaos." Shadow put on his equipment and walked outside. When he walked out he noticed that a fog was coming in and concealing everything. Shadow knew right off the bat the Khaos was behind this fog.

Umbra turned away as Shadow went back in. Rumasak seemed quiet and so was she. He had sat down and closed his eyes, his hands were in fists pressed together at the knuckles, most likely in meditation. She turned back and looked outside the cave. She stood quietly staring into the darkness created by cloud cover, it was about to rain, she could smell the humidity in the air.

She shifted uneasily, not sure of what to think at the moment. Her mind wondered about Rumasak and how he was, would he be the father he wanted to or would he abandon her after Khaos was killed? She watched as a small mist entered the area after a few hours, she stiffened knowing what was comming. Rumasak appeared next to her, "Five gold says its him" he said. She drew her sword but did not answer him, instead she turned as Shadow had gotten up. "Guys I have a bad feeling that Khaos is about to come out of the crevice. We better get ready for another fight." She smiled as he got up. "Good to see your doing good Shadow. Although...We passed that landmark about an hour ago." she said.

She watched it thicken, the fog entered the cave adn the fire began to die a little at a time. She tried to see him by scrying but could not, although she smelled that strong scent of blood from the cuts she had given him. "Well lets go everyone." she said leading the way out.

Shadow walked out behind Umbra. Shadow then thinking to himself. "Ok Khaos your time has come. It is time for you to rest in peace permanently." Shadow looked at Umbra and then at Rumasak. "Are we still going with the same plan as before. Becuase if we are we are all gonna have to run like hell to lead him back to the house." Shadow then whistled and called his hawk to him. "Stay in the air Saphira. I don't want you to get hurt." The hawk gave Shadow a nod a flew off. The fog that was around them began to get thicker and harder to see through, so Shadow used one of his spells. "hevio." Shadow's vision went from a regular sight to a heat vision. "Guy's there are no animals in the trees and it is getting way colder than before."

Blade Got out his shield and short katar and put both on his left arm. he then took out his short sword and prepared to fight more. Blade then grabbed his helment and set it on his head and lit his blades on fire. "I am Ready Umbra. when we get outside should I set a ring of fire around us just in case?"

Umbra watched Shadow walk out behind her in the fog, she felt something strange going on. "Are we still going with the same plan as before. Becuase if we are we are all gonna have to run like hell to lead him back to the house." She shook her head before Rumasak had a chance to speak up, "No, This is the best spot. Wether the fog is his doing or not we can still use it to our advantage. Get ready, we are going to do this head on. I am tired of hiding from everything." she said. She did not notice Rumasaks surprise at those words, he turned and drew his sword without looking at the three of them showing how he knew what she meant. "Lets go then, I am tired of hiding as well." he said.

She turned and looked at him then watched the world around them be blanketed in fog as Shadow whistled. "Stay in the air Saphira. I don't want you to get hurt." she nodded and watched. "Guy's there are no animals in the trees and it is getting way colder than before." Shadow had said as he used his heat vision spell. "Agreed, I dont smell anything. Something is not right here. We must proceed with caution." she said taking her first step into the fog. It was solid, dirt under her feet. No trap there. "Stay close everyone, we don't want to get seperated." she said making sure that Shadow and Blade were nearby. "I am Ready Umbra. when we get outside should I set a ring of fire around us just in case?" She shook her head at the question, "No he is imune to fire attacks. He will just walk through it while we will be trapped within it. We cant let him single us out. she said.

Shadow walked closely with his sword drawn out. He was watching for any heat signitures that might be in the area. "Fire won't hurt me either Umbra remeber. I am partial pheonix and I am immune to fire." Shadow scanned around in front of them and then turned around and scanned behind them. As he was looking behind a quick movement went across his sight. "Guys he is here. Soemthing very fast just went through my line of sight." Shadow turned back around and kept alert for anything that was about to happen. "Man what a drag this is." saying to himself.

"Well then, put it this way, Most of my spells won't be of use to us then except for a certain few that aren't fire based." said blade as he drew behind as to make sure that if he tried to attack from behind he would be able to tell and warn the rest so that they can have time to prepare to attack. he gently thought he should go scope the land by way of bat and the use of sonar when he said, "I'm going to be right back, I am going to turn into a bat to use the sonar." and with a small purple flash he was a bat as he then tried to hear anything unusal in the area.
