Title: Wanderings of an Exile
Description: Open

Alexis_Orsai - October 5, 2006 01:55 PM (GMT)
The trees of Yomeniampa seemed as giants in this vast woodlands, the green of their leaves threatening to shut out the light of the sun completely, as a few rare beams of light pierced the canapy. Down upon the forest floor, a figure adorned in a black cloack slowly strode among the ancient trees, taking its time to navigate the rough land and plethera of roots eztruding from the ground. The figure looked to the sky, as it slowly removed its hood, the blonde hair and face betraying the figures identedy on sight. She was Alexia Orsai, Exiled Necromancer of the Elven Lands. She smiled, the songs of the birds above her making her wonder would the birds sing such a beautiful song if the only knew what wandered beneath them? She had marveled at how lfie continued to go on. If only the living would listen to the dead, as she did, perhaps life would be so much more simpler. If only the living could learn from the mistakes of the dead, perhaps they would learn to prevent any mishaps in their future, only time would tell. Alexis knealt down, the sight of a small bird that seemed to have fallen from its nest high above the canopy. She looked to the bird, so young in life, as she pulled a blackened leather book from her pouch, as she slowly turned the pages, as she placed it upon the ground and put her hands around the body of the bird. She smiled, as she slowly looked to the small creature, focusing every part of her will to slowly heal the bird, her dark magics slowly working their way into its body. Alexis smiled, as the bird slowly stood upon its legs, looking to her, as the bird chirpped at ther. Alexis smiled, as she gently blew upon the birds face, as it fluttered its feathers, and took off from the gound, flying back to the canapy from which it came. Alexis marveled, as she placed her spellboock back within her pouch, as she slowly stood, quickly placing her hand to her waist, slowly caressing the hilt of her dagger, as she slowly peered around. It was odd, it seemed as if someone, or something, had been watching her every move. Perhaps it was due to her entire life being spent in the tombs of the world, but she sensed that something was amiss in this wood, something that she could not forsee if would go smoothly, or would require the shedding of blood.

Zenith Meria - October 5, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)
In the trees of Yomenïampa a little ways off from the city was a young angel with golden armour covering his entire body. The angel also had many weapons on his person they were only ever used on people of evil within Arda, unless he was training of course. Soon the angel seen he was not alone, but at the same time made no attempt to make his presence known at that exact moment in time.

Looking down towards the new woman that had appeared Zenith could see see rather liked the look of the forest. Zenith soon seen the woman going over to a small bird on the ground that had fallen from its nest. Seeing her getting closer to the bird Zenith lowered his right hand to the hilt of only one of his weapons, his Resplendent Countering Longsword known as Redemption. With his hand resting upon its hilt the young angel continued to look down at the woman, if she was to harm the bird then he would have no choice but to attack as the animals within this area where special to Zenith. This was the place he had found the Falcon, Sahdow, that now traveled with Zenith everywhere. This time shadow resting upon Zeniths shoulder.

Thats when the young angel seen the woman healing the bird. It seemed as though she was good which was a nice thing for Zenith. But a few moments after healing the bird a large black panther seemed to emerge from the trees heading closer to the woman. Zenith seeing the panther lowered himself from the trees. His large white angelic wings helping him land softly on the ground below, rather near the panther.

The left hand of Zenith lay on the head of panther, after all the beast was him. It was Zeniths panther Odion than had been the one to come out of the forest looking for its master. His right hand was still resting upon the hilt of his blade as he looked to the woman once more. Zeniths long cloak was flowing back in the wind somewhat, the cloak being the one that matched his armour. The angel then looked at his falcon, and back to his panther nodding to both of them. The falcon then took into the trees while the panther went off to lay in some shade.

With his pets gone Zenith walked over to the woman and said in a soft tone, "Hello miss. Im glad to see you helped that small bird moments ago. My name is Zenith Meria, an Arch Angel and also a trained Divine Protector trained by the Goddess of Life. May I help you in anyway today?" The angel then stood still, waiting on the reply of the woman before him.

Alexis_Orsai - October 5, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
Alexis swiftly turned to look upon the newcommer, as she tripped over a root, falling to the ground, as her eyes filled with horror. She slowly looked upon the arch angel, his name Zenith Meria playing through her mind. Never in her life had she seen an angel, and this one seemed to fit the part, what with his blazing gold armour and his lightly colored cloak. Alexis' eyes widened, as she felt her face warm, looking upon her, as she quickly tried to gather back her robes which had fluttered around her.

"Why, hello there kind angel, it is a pleasure to make your aquaintence. I am sorry that I look such a mess, but I have to admit that I was not planning on meeting someone...such as yourself. I am called Alexis Orsai, I am a daughter of the shadows and exiled necromancer of the elven lands, Sir Zenith. I was actually wondering if you could tell me the quickest way to get to the city, I have been wandering in here for a day now, and while I love the calm of the forest, I so desire contact with others. Perhaps you could find the time to help me?"

Alexis smiled to him, looking to his face, which seemed so young compared to what her impressions of an angel would be. She squelched a giggle, as she knew her face was still flustered. Her eye caught the swords at his waist, and other implements of war, as she slowly looked to him. She slowly pondered to herself why would an angel bear such weapons of war and death, and yet claim to be a guardian of life? His statements seemed to contradict themselfs. She raised her hand to him, hoping that he would help her up, rather than leave her laying on the ground.

Rowan - October 6, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
Rowan walked camly through the woods as she hummed an old Aelfie song. She fiddled with the wooden pendant she had received from her mother on her eighteenth birthday. It was a wooden circle, one side had a tree carved into it the other was in Aelfie language. She hoped the leather strap would hold untill she found another. The strap was old but still held its dark brown hue as it carried the pendant.

She continued walking and humming untill she heard voices. She stopped and looked around, glancing to one side she quickly turned and walked in the direction of the voices. ....Sir Zenith. I was actually wondering if you could tell me the quickest way to get to the city, I have been wandering in here for a day now, and while I love the calm of the forest, I so desire contact with others. Perhaps you could find the time to help me?" she heard as she emerged from the bushes around them. She immediately recognized the man as an Angel, most likely an ArchAngel however the woman was hard to figure out. Most likely an elf of some sort as her ears gave away. The Aelfie stood silently watching them.

Alexis_Orsai - October 6, 2006 09:30 PM (GMT)
Alexis turned her head, her hair whipping around her face, as she looked upon the newcommer. Alexis cound not determine this new persons motive for arriving, and raised an eye to her. These two newcommers had stuck a cord in her soul, as if she felt a certain aura of light radiationg from them, contrasting her dark, sidious soul within her chest. Alexis slowly lowered her hands to the ground, as she raised herself up, trying her best to keep her robes about her. Her blue eyes narrowed, catlike and focused upon the newcommer.

"Hello there, and who might you be? I have to say it seems like I have been wandering in the wrong areas, since this seems to be where everyone is hiding from me. Well now Sir Zenith, despite our differences of...lifestyles...perhaps you would not mind showing me the way out of this forest?

Alexis slowly raised her hand to the pendant at her neck, a small shrunken skull surrounded by jet black beads that seemed insignifigant, but was the skull of the first friend that she had ever had. Alexis slowly shifter her eyes from both of the newcommers, unsure if they were aware of the darkness that dwelled within her chest.

Zenith Meria - October 6, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
Zenith narrowed his eyes towards the woman, his detect evil spell had went off in his mind telling him that this woman before him was evil. Yet still the Arch Angel did not want to beileve this true. Soon he seen another person, or rather the other person was brought to his attention by Alexis. He then looked back to Alexis as he said, "Well... Ok I shall show you the way, and if this mystery person would like to also join us then that is also fine with me as well." A very small smile spreading alog the lips of Zenith as he waited.

His panther then got to its feet once more making its way over to Zenith before stoping at his feet and looking up at its master. Zenith looked down at the panther, names Odion, and said softly. "I know friend... but we must give everyone a chance right?" The panther seemed to understand Zenith as it nodded to him and soon after this the Falcon, Shadow, landed on the shoulder of Zenith.

The young angels hand was still resting on the hilt of his Countering Longsword as he looked from Alexis to the other person and back again. Slowly the angel raised his head to look into the trees, the sun breaking through some of the branches above. It looked rather beautiful and brought a smile across the lips of Zenith. He then made sure his helm was secure in the travel back he had with him, not wanting to wear it just now. Zenith then let out a small sigh saying, "Well shall be off then?" Waiting on a reply the angel once again looked towards Alexis.

Alexis_Orsai - October 7, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
Alexis smiled, as she noticed a sudden change within the demeanor of the angel before her. She was unsure if he was just fluttered by her looks, or if the angelic being had detected the darkness and chaotic state of her soul. A thin smile spread across her face, as a snake smiles while watching its prey walk before it, unaware of its presence or meanings. Her eyes narrowed, catlike as if focusing on her prey. Her eyes shifted from the newcommer to the angel, as she nodded her head to him.

"Yes Sir Zenith, I do believe that I am ready to leave this place. Maddam, would you be willing to join us, or would you prefer to stand there and watch?"

Alexis' vanity had gotten the best of her, as she gently leaned her hand against her hip, awaiting for the angel and newcommer to make up their minds. Who knew, perhaps they would get this under way, then again, they could just stand here and take turns gawking at eachother. The decision was theirs, Alexis did not mind, but she did wish to leave the wood. It had been a long time since she had the opportunity to soak her body within a warm pool of water, and her body yearned to be papmpered and cared for.

Zenith Meria - October 7, 2006 02:58 PM (GMT)
The arch angel looked back towards Alexis as she spoke. He stood there and listened to the woman and then back towards the other being once more with a small smile. Sure he had to keep his gaurd up as he did not know any of these two beings but yet... Zenith felt both had light, even a small amount of light within them. Yet still the Arch Angel looked up to the sky once more as if he was looking for someone or something. What it was, well that would be known later on.

Slowly the angel brought his back down and looked at both beings again before saying, "Very well. If you wish to leave this place then follow me please." With that Zenith started to walk forward to lead these beings to the town that Alexis had wanted to go to. This would still prove to be a day to remember, it after all had only began a few short moments ago. Zeniths right hand still on the hilt of his Resplendent Countering Lonsword, but it was now gripping all the way around the hilt ready to be drawn in a moments notice.

Passing a few more trees Zenith had not even looked back to see if they were following him, or keeping up with him. He had always had a habbit of walking rather fast, yet this never seemed to bother others before so still the angel walked on a little more before stoping and looking behind him with a sigh to see if the others were there or not.

Rowan - October 7, 2006 09:48 PM (GMT)
Rowan stood silently untill the elf acknoledged her. "Hello there, and who might you be? I have to say it seems like I have been wandering in the wrong areas, since this seems to be where everyone is hiding from me. Well now Sir Zenith, despite our differences of...lifestyles...perhaps you would not mind showing me the way out of this forest? She gave a half smile to the Elf hoping to ease her. "Well... Ok I shall show you the way, and if this mystery person would like to also join us then that is also fine with me as well." She nodded quietly not sure what to expect of the two strangers.

The Angels panther seemed concirned but he whispered something to him and it seemed content with the answer. The angel sighed and asked the girl if she was ready. "Yes Sir Zenith, I do believe that I am ready to leave this place. Maddam, would you be willing to join us, or would you prefer to stand there and watch?" Rowan smiled and nodded, "Yes. I would like to join you." she said watching the angel walk off quickly. Her ever obseving eye noticed that his hand was no longer just resting upon the hilt of his sword but gripped tightly, ready for one of them to turn on him and attack. "Not very trusting. Oh Tejask, How I wish you were by my side. I would feel much safer in this place she thought, wondering if by some chance her connection with her friend would allow him to feel her fear and he would come bounding out of the woods and to her as he did if she called him.

She paused as the angel turned to see if they were comming or not. She stepped back, then after reconsidering something continued on towards him. "I'm comming, I'm comming"she said. She had heard that this new land had gods and guardians. She did not know who the being was that rulled over animals but silently plead to them to bring Tejask to her quickly if he lived.

Alexis_Orsai - October 8, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
Alexis pulled her cape around her frame, struggling to keep up with the angel and the newcommer. The angel had just started walking away, as her face turned pale and she frowned. She felt left behind, ignored, and her vanity refused to have that. She quicly stepped forward, trying to keep up with her guide, her hand holding her cloack across her body. The wind felt cold, as the breeze slowly caressed her skin, and she quivered. She slowly kept her attention devided between the two, unsure of their motives. Sure this angel was being nice, but his love of his sword and air of arrogance disgusted her, as if the very purity he strove to defend would infect her. She softly smiled to him, her eyes locked on his back, her mind wandering. How easy it would be to kill these two, all she would have to do is summon a shadow being to attack them, perhaps with the cover of night to hide her motives, while she used her dark magic to keep herself from death. Yes, that would be splended, to add two more bodies to her studies, two more cadabbers to study and learn from. Then again, the angel seemed to be strong, perhaps to strong for her to handle. Alexis pondered, her thoughts continuing to wander. Then again, she would still be wandering about the forest lost if not for him, the angelic being. She gritted her teeth, willing to suffer such unpleasanties to find herself a warm bath and pampering, wishing to fill her desire for attention. Oh great Goddess Ita, please help me to get through these inhumilities.

Zenith Meria - October 8, 2006 11:20 AM (GMT)
Slowly Zenith seen that both people were keeping up with him. He then nodded and said, "Its still some ways off. But with luck we will get there before nightfall." Yet again he took a quick glance into the air before he smiled at both of them and carried on walking. Yes he was still keeping his gaurd up, but Zenith could feel some kind of evil, not knowing where it was coming from the angel had to be ready for battle at a moments notice. Lucky for him his cloak had cover up the Resplendent Tower shield that lay upon his back. Under the shield were of course two more of the angels weapons. Salvation, his Holy Blade, and Judgement, his Blade of Balance.

Zenith then closed his eyes for a couple of seconds as he walked. While his eyes were closed the angel said in his mind, "Sraxen... Im taking two people to a village, if I do not get back to the Peak within three days at the most, then you know something has happened to me old friend." Yes the angel had a Telepathic Bond with another one of the Keepers of the Sacred Deed, his good friend Sraxen who was a dwarf. And of course most are somewhat surprised by that, a Dwarf and an Arch Angel being best friends and all.

After this the angel then spoke to the others again with the words, "May I ask why each of you are wanting to go to this village, and maybe ask your name newcomer?" After all, this other person that had come with Zenith and Alexis, he did not even know there name of yet. As he continued to walk on Zenith awaited their replies.

Rowan - October 8, 2006 12:37 PM (GMT)
Its still some ways off. But with luck we will get there before nightfall." The angels words made Rowans heart skip a beat. At night with two strangers. She did not like it but they were in a forest. Inexperienced or Experienced the forest was her turf no matter where it was. Although she also was outnumbered two to one. She moved her arm back and felt the familiar tip of her bow. She was sure in any danger she could easily hold her own in a fight. She gave a silent nod as the elf woman passed her. She was a few steps behind her and paused to let a little more space go inbetween them.

Rowan watched the ground as she walked, Can I trust these two? I know nothing of elves or angels yet I have heard that they are good. But this angel seems untrusting, and the elf...I know not how to describe her. She seems to give off a dark aura but she said she was a necromancer. Perhapse that is why. Oh mother, what would you do amongst these beings. Would you be brave or afraid. So many new faces, each different than the last. Mother would you stay or go? she asked her dead mother. She knew that her mother would not answer her but it felt calming to once again call to her mother for advice on the world. I don't think my mother would have gone towards the voices. She would have gone the other way and allowed the plants to take her where she would go. She would never have relied on the help of someone who is said to, and does, see an aelfie when they are hidden. And she would not trust an elf that is for sure. But would I? Would I trust this angel and elf... she thought before the angels voice broke her thoughts

"May I ask why each of you are wanting to go to this village, and maybe ask your name newcomer?" She snapped out of her thoughts and paused for a moment. "I do not know what village lies out her sir. And as you said, it is getting dark soon. I have learned more than once how well an Aelfie does in the dark of an unknown land. But as for my name. It is Rowan." she said with a smile. Yes...For now I will trust this angel and Elf. I have no choice but to. My mother may not....But I have been told many times and agree with all of them...I am not my mother, no where near her. she thought with a nod and quickened her pace so

Alexis_Orsai - October 8, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
"I do not know what village lies out her sir. And as you said, it is getting dark soon. I have learned more than once how well an Aelfie does in the dark of an unknown land. But as for my name. It is Rowan." she said with a smile.

Alexis chuckled at this newcommer, this Rowan the Aelfie. Zenith Maria and Rowan, both of these beings seemed to be goverend by the powers of light, the angel especially. Alexis raised her eyes to the sky, agoring the sunset, as she yearned for the darkness of the night, the calm before the storm was so...enfuriating. The comming of chaos with the shadows of night was perhaps the greatest of thrills that one could experience in life, if they were willing.

"What brings you two to this forest? I mean, I have been lost for some days now in this wood, but what are your excuses? Perhaps we are all just pawns in some twisted game of fate?"

Zenith Meria - October 8, 2006 08:09 PM (GMT)
First Zenith heard the words of the newcomer that he now knew as Rowan. Hearing her name Zenith nodded and said "Very nice to meet you Miss Rowan, and Miss Alexis of course." He smiled a little at both of them as a large shadow passed over the three from above. Zenith seemingly ignoring the shadow that had just passed. He then heard Miss Alexis speak to both himself and Rowan, seeing that Rowan had not answered yet Zenith took the time to say his own answer.

Zenith said, "Well as for myself. I have only been here for a few hours now. Then I happened to see you Miss Alexis and that small bird. So I though I would ask if you needed any help getting anywhere." Zenith then stopped speaking as the shadow passed over the three of them again, he knew what was causing the shadow but as of yet had not said anything. Thats when the cause of the large shadow made itself known to all.

Down from the sky came a large adult plasma dragon, it landed onto the ground with a small thud and looked at all three people that where around it. Slowly Zenith walked over and placed his free hand onto the dragon as he said, "Im glad you got here Telsor. I have been waiting for you my friend." He then looked at both Alexis and Rowan and said, "Do not fear him. He is my dragon, and a good friend. You have nothing to fear, although he will attack in order to defend me." Zenith then patted the head of Telsor softly awaiting a reply from either woman.

Rowan - October 8, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
The elven woman chuckled at Rowans answer. She tilted her head wondering what was so funny. She shrugged it off and continued. She was only a few paces behind the elf, close enough that if she reached out she could grab her arm but she kept her hands close, ready to jump at a moments notice."Very nice to meet you Miss Rowan, and Miss Alexis of course." The angel said but Rowan did not answer she just nodded a reply.

"What brings you two to this forest? I mean, I have been lost for some days now in this wood, but what are your excuses? Perhaps we are all just pawns in some twisted game of fate?" Rowan was not sure about how to answer this. How does one say flat out 'I am wandering the woods because my people were ambushed and killed and now I am the last of my kind. Oh did I mention I am lost and have no expierence what so ever with the abilities my people carry?' It was like asking the angel and elf to kill her right off the bat. No....That would be what my mother would say. This world is not where my mother would be best at. I must rely on my own advice to live. she thought.

She thought of what to say but the angel answered first, "Well as for myself. I have only been here for a few hours now. Then I happened to see you Miss Alexis and that small bird. So I though I would ask if you needed any help getting anywhere." Zenith stopped speaking as a shadow crossed overhead. Rowan looked up unsure of what the thing was that came towards them. "Im glad you got here Telsor. I have been waiting for you my friend." Rowan was unsure of what to say. She had never been this close to a dragon before. She had heard interesting things about them but was not sure if they were true or not. She smiled and looked in awe at the dragon. "Do not fear him. He is my dragon, and a good friend. You have nothing to fear, although he will attack in order to defend me." Rowan smiled and thought of Tejask, how he would love to have met a dragon up close. She walked slowly and reached out her hand to pet the dragon's head.

Alexis_Orsai - October 9, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
Alexis looked to the dragon, and was taken aback by its size, and disgusted at how it yeilded so easieally to its master. Did it not know that it was far stronger than its master and could defeat him. She pondered to herself what would an undead dragon look like? would it be as powerful as the dragon before her, or perhaps even more? Alexis began to raise her hand towards the dragon, but felt uneasy, as if the dragon would attack her.

"Nice pet dragon you have there Zenith. Erm...well now...perhaps we should get under way then, if there are no exceptions?

Zenith Meria - October 11, 2006 12:01 PM (GMT)
Zenith seen the reaction of both females seeing Telsor, Alexis being the one that seemed like she was rather... nervous being near Telsor. It could have been worse however, what if Zenith had brought his Cerberus along as well. Now that would have been rather fun to see. Slowly Zenith turned to Rowan, her hand out to meet the head of Telsor. The dragon moved his head closer to the womans hand and let her touch his head.

Zenith then went on to say, "Well.. I found Zenith, about a year ago now. He was badly hurt, and for a Plasma Dragon, seeing him away from Ita was rather strange. We ended up in battle with each other, but in the end I saved his life. And he has stayed by my friend ever since, as one of my best friends." The young Arch Angels eyes then swiftly moved to the trees as he heard something moving, yet still Zenith had no idea what it was. For all he knew it may have been some bandits awaiting to steal from the small group only to have seen the dragon and run.

Zenith looked back to the two females and then said, "I feel we should go, these forests become more and more dangerous through the night, I know we could hold out own in battle, but what is the point of spilling blood when it can be avoided?" Zenith then smiled and turned round once as he began to walk, Telsor walking beside. Zenith also cast his Hind Sight spell then making a pair of Magical eyes behind him, he could now also see what was happening behind the small group which would help.

Rowan - October 13, 2006 10:58 AM (GMT)
Rowan smiled as the dragon moved his head closer. She gently put his hand on the dragon’s head and rubbed it. It seemed to be all right with her petting it. "Well. I found Teslor, about a year ago now. He was badly hurt, and for a Plasma Dragon, seeing him away from Ita was rather strange. We ended up in battle with each other, but in the end I saved his life. And he has stayed by my friend ever since, as one of my best friends." Rowan smiled, remembering her wolf companion Tykell. She smiled sadly at the dragon as he left her hand. She watched Zenith as he looked off to the side. She to heard a noise from the bushes but saw nothing.

"I feel we should go, these forests become more and more dangerous through the night, I know we could hold out own in battle, but what is the point of spilling blood when it can be avoided?" She nodded, agreeing that they should be going as soon as possible. She could not help but turn one more time and look at the bushes, she felt strange. She quickly followed Zenith as he walked on ahead. She hoped he did not mind leading her as well; She after all appeared out of nowhere. She watched the dragon still amazed at the fact she was so close to a dragon. This would have been an amazing story to tell back home. She looked around. "So what do you think it was back there?" she asked him. She had moved her bow from her back to her hand holding it ready to thread an arrow if necessary. She wondered herself, she turned her head wondering if the woman was coming as well as to see if they were being followed.

Highwind - October 14, 2006 03:22 PM (GMT)
Noticing that there was commotion out there, the Elven Knight that dwelt within Yomenïampa, named Ancalë, or Sergeant Ancalë Varnoi, selected his tan surcoat that matched the rest of his outfit, fastened his ruby and feather clip to his straight brown hair and made sure to throw his light but sturdy boots onto his feet. Before he stepped out the door, Ancalë made sure that he belted on his large, silver handled broadsword. His arms were moderately built and he had every bearing of a military man, so the sword did not look comical when his cloak did not hide the weapon. Wearing a traditional headband and dress gauntlets of the Elves, he set out into the forest, nimble fingers fumbling with the fastener of his surcoat. "Something fell out of the sky." he muttered to himself. "Hopefully it won't be anythong hostile or troublesome, Mazzer help me..." he sighed distastefully. He descended the long spiral stair that connected the buildings up top to the wonderful forest floor below. Though Ancalë was technically a nomad, they allowed him to live here for certain fees that he was more than happy to accept, though it was considerably a trifle amount anyway. Ancalë was unsure of whether or not the hospitality was because he was of the same race or not, but whatever it was, he felt the need to reach out to travelers and show them the true hospitality of his people. Passing two or three of the other guards on the beautifully ornate staircase, he returned their salutes and dismissed them. "Just make sure you tell the archers to be on their guard, I don't want to walk straight into the clutches of something I can't take on by myself out there, but if I do I simply won't exactly be by myself." he said dryly

Ancalë reached the bottom of the stairway and made his way towards the direction of the fallen something. He looked back to see some of the archers standing by, concealed in their posts. He had a feeling of peace so he gave the signal for them to not ready their bows until Ancalë gave the sign. Walking further, he began to discern shapes, one with wings, and two that looked human, though one may have had ears of Elven kind. There was also something larger, not massive but fairly bigger than he himself. Ancalë never liked that fact, but there was also a kind of tension in the air that said maybe these people were not as close knit as he originally contemplated. He muttered the incantation for the light spell and produced a large glowing orb in his hands that illuminated a very large portion of the woods, and also announced his presence to the strangers. He could fall back on sword or spell should they attack, the beast, he presumed was a dragon, would be the most difficult. Ancalë only prayed the Angel was not one of the fallen or dark. "Ho out there!" he called out in his loud, deep voice. "Perhaps you seek refuge from the night?" he asked of them questioningly, yet in a tone that announced his non-hostile intentions. "If so you can follow me to the great city and out of the cold!"

Rowan - October 15, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
Rowan turned hearing another being comming from behind them. She grabbed her bow and waited a few moments but nothing happened. must have been a rabit or something. she thought turning around and continued following the elf and archangel. She continued on but then heard a small growl. "Something is there!" she said turning.

She was about to reach for an arrow when suddenly a burst of greyish fur came bounding out of the bushes and jumped on Rowan. "Ungh...Huh?" she said as the timber wolf nudged her and began to lick her face. Her eyes suddenly brightened with realization as who this particular wolf was. "TYKELL! I can't believe it is you!" she said as the wolf got off of her. She got up and rubbed the wolf behind its ears. She was about to say something when a voice was heard. "Ho out there! Perhaps you seek refuge from the night?"

Tykell perked but she rubbed his head. She looked at Alexis and then to Zenith who had yet to say anything. "If so you can follow me to the great city and out of the cold!" She turned to them, "Hello!" she called back, "We seek to get out of the night! We are looking for the City of the Elves that resides in this forest." she said in an equal tone of friendship.

Highwind - October 15, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
Ancalë awaited a reply, his fingers ready to give the signal for a steady hail of arrows, his other ready for a spell, but it hovered a cautious distance above his broadsword as well. But then the silence was punctured. "Hello!" a woman's voice shouted back, "We seek to get out of the night! We are looking for the City of the Elves that resides in this Forest." The response set the Elf at ease, his ears flicked like a cat's. He was still a little bit edgy, but at least they sounded human. Well, one of them at any rate. "If that is true, you are in luck my friends, you are very near our great city and I would be very glad to accomodate you all for a little while." At this he motioned for his light to follow him and he stepped over to the party. The golden warmth of his light spell washed over them all, the woman that had spoken and her great timber wolf caught his eyes first. She was fair looking, attractive even if Ancalë was not preoccupied with getting all of them to the city and up the staircase. Her eyes were a green and her hair brown, she was also kind of short and slim. His eyes fell to her wolf, which seemed like a puppy when near her, but it's eyes were wary of the strange man. He turned his head towards the winged person as his light danced on him. A tall, muscular, tough looking one, with long brown hair, and eyes of a darker brown than the stuff on his head, and some nice weapons that Ancalë thought they might have to talk about later. Ancalë was a connoisseur of blades as it were, and he would most definately have to see the weapons that the apparent Archangel carried with him. He noticed also the large Plasma Dragon, that was the fallen object. Oh by Mazzer what is that thing doing here?! he thought as his eyes fell on the creature. Then the Guard thought about it, if it were realy hostile, he would be a large smoldering crater right now. Shrugging, he said to the Angel "Just...keep it on a leash, alright?" a bit nervously, still eyeing the monsterous Dragon. He moved past and caught sight of who appeared to be the last of them. She had blonde hair and looked slightly familiar, she had the pointed ears of the Elves, but there was something different about her. He could almost swear he heard the echoes of the dearly departed, and the not so dear ones as well. They would have to be watched of course, but that was getting very far off of the subject. Stepping away from them all, Ancalë, Captain of the guards, bowed and looked them all individually in the eye. "Come travelers, you must be hungry, tired, in need of bath and bed. We have an abundance of all of said luxuries. Let is show you the hospitality of our people." And he directed them all to the ornate spiral staircase. "I will lead on." and with that, he motioned for them to follow as he stepped in the direction of his home.
