Kuriboh wandered about for a bit looking about the small village, there wasn't much to see of any interest to him. Not even a statue in sight, the place was boring and bieng only a foot high wasn't exactly an advantage either. Wherever he went somebody nearly stepped on him, to which he floated out of the way cursing.
"What where you're walking you overgrown...." he was interupted by another person accidentally kicking him but not noticing.

Kuriboh bounced a little way across the street hitting his head hard on a table leg under a porch, he sank to the ground rubbing the highest part he could reach, which was nowhere near the bruise.
"Stupid, obnoxius, son of a..." were just a few of the things he was cursing.
He hopped to his feet floating to just below adult head height and wandered down a side street away from most of the people, he settled down on a window sill sighing.

"Man, you'd think these people had never seen a mellennium beast before," he sighed.
He was just about to go to sleep when somebody opened the window outwards knocking him off, surprised Kuriboh tumbled to the ground hitting his head again, no sooner had he got to his feet than a pale of dirty water was emptied over him, he began cursing in an inaudable language whilst his hair stood on end.

After calming down he rose into the air and shook himself as dry as he could before looking about. There was nothing in this place to do at all, so he decided to leave, if he could remeber where he's come in. He looked up and down the street and shrugged before floating onto a thatched roof, at least here nobody could disturb his peace. He lay back on the straw closing his eyes and hoping for a good rest, he'd come a long way since he'd left his home land, he'd never been one for deserts anyway, all that sand getting in his fur chaffed like hell and he was still finding grains in there even now.

A sudden noise woke him from his cat nap, irritated he hopped to the edge of the roof and looked down into the street, a drunk was grabbing everything drinkable he could find and there was a large crowd surroudning him giving him funny looks, he drunkily put his arm around a random person.
"Hey, couldn't spare a couple 'o drinks could ya'?"
The person threw him off and backwed away. Kurboh sighed, humans were so blind to what was bad for them, you'd think they'd want to be extinct the way they acted.

Kuriboh floated to the other side of the roof anf hopped down onto a deserted street away from all the comotion. He looked about balancing on top of a large pebble and looking about, he soon heard footsteps coming his way. Either somebody had the same idea and was getting away from the drunk or they just happened to come here by chance, either way Kurboh wanted to find somebody remotly sane in this place.

Astra appraoched Estalod with something of relaxing on her mind, she liked to get away from everything just once in a while and get some time to herself. She looked up at the village as she approached it, the place seemed peaceful enough to her and met her approval. She walked in whislting and tucking one side of her hair behind one ear to keep it out of her eyes. She looked up and saw a crowd gathering round one place, curious she walked over to it but wasn't able to see a thing. She looked about, nobody was watching so nobody would notice.

She breathed out heavily and a pari of firey wings spread from her back, she hovered high enough to see over the crowd and into the center. In it was a drunk thrashing about and going up to random people asking for drinks, they backed away and often pushed him aside. Asta let herself drop to the ground and her wings shrank into nothing, all that comotion for nothing.

She walked away from the crowd down a side street and turned the corner, she looked down and let out an obvius "oh!" Of surprise. Sitting on a pebble was a foot high hairball with a pair of purple eyes and green claws poking from underneath its fur.
"What on earht are you?" she said not expecting it to understand.
She bent down on one knee so as to get a better look at it.

Kuriboh looked in the direction of the footsteps unsure of where they were coming from, he turned around to see a small girl round the cornor, well not small compared to him if that was the case she was pretty large but on the whole she wasn't exactly godzilla height. She looked around 14, short hair, scarlet eyes, wierd for one thing. Kurobh looked up at her when she let out an "oh!" at the sight of him.

He hopped down off the pebble and looked up at her blinking.
"What on earht are you?" The girl said to herself more than Kuriboh kneeling down.
Kuriboh blinked up at her again before answering.
"Well it's kinda hard to explain that," he said "but my name is Kuriboh, hi there."
He raised a paw in a wave and lowered it.

He hovered up till he was at the girl's height looking at her in more detail, her ears seemed pointed so she was evidentally elven, but msot elves he knew had fair white or blond hair and blue eyes, not scarlet all the way. She also seemed very warm.
"Well if you don't mind me asking what are you?" Kuriboh said "half elf?"

Astra's surprised seemed to increase very rapidly, the small creature hopped off the pebble looking up at her and blinking, but after she'd sinished speaking it spoke back.
"Well it's kinda hard to explain that," it said "but my name is Kuriboh, hi there."

Astra was taken completely abak, this creature seemed to be able to speak despite itself, how was completely beyond Astra. She could only stand and stare at the creature lost for words, it then floated up and hovered infrom of her face and seemed to examine her. Astra began to wonder just who was the interesting new creature here, she was sure that this creature saw humans on a daily basis, not that she was human.

Bieng so close she could see exactly where the creature was looking, it glanced at her eyes and hair and then at her ears, Astra's hand automatically raised halfway to her ear before she realised what she was doing and put it down again.
"Well if you don't mind me asking what are you? half elf?" The creature said.
Astra still had her words stuck in her throat.
"Er...I...Well...I....It...Er," she stammered.
She swallowed hard before trying again.
"Er, well half right I guess," she said before realising what she'd said and putting her hand over her mouth, she took it away again quickley though realising she was probably embarrasing herself "Well, my name's Astra." she said "and, what's a Kuriboh?"

"I'm not sure what it means but it looks like you sir are a Mellenium beast, I have only seen you in the books in my office and i never seen one in person. let me introduce myself. I am Trinity, Blade trinity. I am the founder and currently leader of the Lone warriors. and I think from your hair color that you are a half phoenix and from your ears you are half elf from what he said." said blade as he walked forwards from the shadows.

"Er...I...Well...I....It...Er," The girl seemed lost for words as she stared at Kuriboh as though she'd never seen a mellennium beast before, mind you not many people did "Er, well half right I guess,"
She then stopped quickley, still not very keen to talk.
"Well, my name's Astra. And, what's a Kuriboh?"
Kuriboh lowered himself back to the ground.

"I'm not a Kuriboh I'm the Kuriboh" he said "Kuriboh, nice to meet you Astra."
Another sound made him look about, a vampire was nearby and seemed to have been watching their conversation.

"I'm not sure what it means but it looks like you sir are a Mellenium beast, I have only seen you in the books in my office and i never seen one in person. let me introduce myself. I am Trinity, Blade trinity. I am the founder and currently leader of the Lone warriors. and I think from your hair color that you are a half phoenix and from your ears you are half elf from what he said." he said before exiting the shadows.

Kuriboh looked at him, the first words popping into his head were Smarty pants but he didn#t favour that idea round a vampire, not that he had any neck to bite he wasn#t even technically alive himself at any rate. He scratched himself briefly before looking back up at him.
"Well 10 out of 10 for observancy," Kuriboh said "but no book I've seen actually lists the Mellennium beasts so how would you know I was one?"

"Before someone tried banning the boks that have you in it, i managed to sneak a few books to my guild before they went around to burning them. And becuase they knew someone had stolen them, they didn't go to me first because i am a good fellow to them. i keep the peace with them and they think i won't steal." said blade as he saw the person go closer to the ground.

"I'm not a Kuriboh I'm the Kuriboh. Kuriboh, nice to meet you Astra."
"Er, hi." Astra said again.
Kuriboh suddenly started and looked around, Astra looked up to see a figure hidden in shadow.

"I'm not sure what it means but it looks like you sir are a Mellenium beast, I have only seen you in the books in my office and i never seen one in person. let me introduce myself. I am Trinity, Blade trinity. I am the founder and currently leader of the Lone warriors. and I think from your hair color that you are a half phoenix and from your ears you are half elf from what he said."

He stepped out of the shadows and revealed himself to them.
A vampire? Astra thought just my luck."
"Well 10 out of 10 for observancy, but no book I've seen actually lists the Mellennium beasts so how would you know I was one?"
"Mellennium beast?" Astra repeated "what's a mellenium beast?"

"Before someone tried banning the boks that have you in it, i managed to sneak a few books to my guild before they went around to burning them. And becuase they knew someone had stolen them, they didn't go to me first because i am a good fellow to them. i keep the peace with them and they think i won't steal." The vampire said again.

Astra's head was beginning to hurt, all this mas overconfusing. Mellenium beasts and smuggling books that were supposed to be burnt or something like that.
"Somebody please tell me what's going on," she said "and who sais I'm half phoenic? I could jsut be an elf with red hair."
Even if it is scarlet she thought.

Kuriboh jumped up and floated in the air infront of Blade.

"What d'ya mean they burnt them!!" He said "oh by the winged dragon how can anybody be so stupid, those books were the only thing keeping this world safe, no wonder I've been hearing stories of silverfang lately (Spyro's past) oh god those idiots have set him loose and he's only one of the weaker one, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god...."

Kuriboh floated to the ground clutching his head still panicking slightly, then he perked up.
"Okay how many did you get back?" he said rising into the air again "oh please say you go the one with the red, blue and gold page edges or we're all done for!"

Kuriboh suddenly realised what Astra had asked, he'd been so panic stricen at the new that the mellenium texts had been burnt that he forgotten.
"Er, a mellennium beast is a magical creature created from the powers of 7 sacred items," he explained "luckily most are hidden away but I know there are some in use, basically about a mellenium ago people used magic to summon magical beasts and fight wars, but it got too powerful so they sealed the magic away, and now those stupid baffons have gone and burnt the books and set their souls free! IRRISPONSIBLE HUMANS!!!"

"Don't worry, i kept several copies of each one. plus i read through the enitre thing to see what the contents were worth keeping them for. and right now they are in a locked chest in my office." said blade as Kuriboh flew up to him and started to panic. "If you would like, i can take you to them." he then shot a flame arrow ou of his hand and up into the sky. soon following this, his wolf, cerebus pup, panther, eagle and falcons came running towards him. the cerebus pup went over to Kuriboh and started to sniff him.

"Don't worry, i kept several copies of each one. plus i read through the enitre thing to see what the contents were worth keeping them for. and right now they are in a locked chest in my office." Blade said trying (and failing) to reassure Kuriboh "If you would like, i can take you to them."

He raised his hand and shot a fire arrow into the air, soon after several animals approached, a small cerberus went up to Kuriboh and began sniffing him, Kuriboh hovered out of the way settling on Astra's shoulder.
"pity there is only one of each," he said "hopefully they burnt mostly counterfit ones, but you evidantally missed the book of beast otherwise Silverfang wouldn't be here, oh and the book of fiends or I probably wouldn't be here either."

He suddenly realised that he'd never actually guessed the book of fiends had been burnt, but now that he realised his soul was released from it it suddenly struck him.
"Oh Hell," he sighed "all the friendly ones are the weak ones, this is real bad and I'm not hanging about for the apocolypse. Well as long as you have the ones sealing Obelisk, Slipher and Ra away we should be fine but I'm afraid I can't help you. Very well I'll see if you've got most of them, must have been a heck of a load to carry though."

are the other two books you are looking for the one with silver edged pages and the one with a greenish trim to it?" asked blade "And if you don't really want to go just to see if the books are real then you better climb on silver the timber wolf there." as he pointed to the wolf taht stood next to him "Mainly becuase it is really cold where we would be going to."

The cerberus pup sniffed Kuriboh who leapt up onto Astra's shoulder, she glanced over at him briefly before looking back over at Blade.

Kuriboh nearly strangled her on the spot.
"Only the fact that they contain the sould of powerful and uncontrolable creatures!" he said "oh forget it you won't understand, you're too young."

He looked back up at Blade.
"well the green ones the book of plants, and I think the other one might be the book of machines, don't ask, but the one I'm looking for has a gold cover and gold, blue and red page edges, that one has the most powerful and unstopable ones there is, and I think I'll be fine where I am,"

Blades eyes started to seem like tehy started to buldge out in realization. "Oh mullet, that is out on my desk right now. i think if if is as dangerous as i think it is, then we better get going now before someone enters my office." he said he looked at the sun as he then said "And i think we should leave right now!! someone should be there in about 5 hours!!!"

"Only the fact that they contain the sould of powerful and uncontrolable creatures! oh forget it you won't understand, you're too young."
"Too young!" Astra said "listen I could fry you right now if I wanted to."
Kuriboh seemed to ignore her and continued talking to Blade.

"Okay fine I'm half phoenix," she said "can we just get on with it."

Blade looked at the other person awating his answer to say that they would go over to his guild to get the book before someone got there. he had looked at astra as she turned into a phoenix. he smiled as he knew for some reason that he was right on her being a phoenix. "Shal we head over there or what?" he had asked "If we are, then you could hop on my timber wolfs back and he could take you there as i will guide astra over there."

"Oh mullet, that is out on my desk right now. i think if if is as dangerous as i think it is, then we better get going now before someone enters my office."
Kuriboh almost sighed.
"Careless, careless people." he muttered.
"Er, fine if you can fly, because I don't know the way and I kinda need you to show me."

She glanced around briefly and a pair of phoenix wings spread form her back, Kuriboh floated off her shoulder quickley so as not to get burnt.
"Flipping hell watch where you put those." he muttered.
"Okay fine I'm half phoenix," she admitted. "can we just get on with it."

"Shall we head over there or what?" Blade asked "If we are, then you could hop on my timber wolfs back and he could take you there as i will guide astra over there."
Kuriboh turned towqrds him and looked down at the wolf.
"Thanks for the offer but no thanks," he said "I don't have and weight so I can float freely in the air so long as I don't go too high and get caught in the wind.

"Okay then i shal stay down here and so you the way while my eagle and falcons show you the way Astra." said blade. as the birds heard this, they flew up and went over to astra and waited for her to start flying. blade told his panther to take the cerebus pup and tak him back to see his he would sleep. He then turned to Kuriboh and said "When you are ready, we shall head south."
