Title: Alone
Description: *~Open~*

Brielle - September 30, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
Brielle strode barefoot across the mossy ground. She came upon one of the smaller waterfalls and took a moment to take in her surroundings. The sky was clear and the sun shone brightly. She closed her eyes and felt the tingle of the sunshine on her face. Birds were nestled in the trees and the leaves rustled in the slight breeze. She seated herself on the edge of the clear pool and dipped her feet in the icy cold water.

Brielle mostly wandered alone. She liked being able to relax in peace, but today she felt unusually lonley. She gazed at her reflection in the water and listened to the distant animal sounds around her.

Maktesh - October 5, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
Maktesh spread his wings and lazily glided across the sky revelling in the joy of unbrideled flight. Eventually he found himself over a land full of waterfalls. Wow, he thought silently, I must have flown quite a bit, I've never been out this far before. Slowly winding down towards the earth he set down in a peacefully glade near a small waterfall. The sun shown down upon him and he considered a quick swim. He had time to let his wings dry. As he neared the waterfall he suddenly noticed that he was not alone. A short distance away was what appeared to be some form of celestial being. Not wanting to intrude on a private moment Maktesh attemped to leave the way he came but accidentaly stepped on a brittle twig which resounded with a sharp snap.

Brielle - October 11, 2006 09:55 PM (GMT)
Brielle sighed and looked up at the clouds shifting shapes above her. She brushed a loose hair from her face and closed her eyes. She heard a snap near her and turned around to see where it had come from. She was surprised to see a man and not an animal behind her. She didn't expect anyone to be in the area. She pulled her feet out of the pool and stood up. "Um... hi." she said brushing another loose hair out of her face.

Maktesh - October 11, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
"Oh, I'm so sorry, mean to intrude on anything. Umm... I'll just go now." Maktesh smiled a bit embaressed and began to walk back the way he came. As he was backing away he stopped dead in his tracks as he noticed her wings. "Are you an angel?" he asked tenatively, "It's really none of my business, I'll be going now." Maktesh began spread his wings making ready to take off once more.

Brielle - October 12, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
Brielle watched as the stranger began to walk back the way he came, disappointed that she was about to lose her only company. "It's alright, you don't have to go. And yes, I am an angel. I'm guessing you're an angel too?" Brielle asked taking note of his wings.

Maktesh - October 12, 2006 01:08 AM (GMT)
"I can stay, I just didn't want to interrupt anything personal." Maktesh answered moving closer to talk with the angel. "I'm not an angel, just half. I am not even angelic in the least bit now that i think of it. I never new my father. I think he died before I was born. But I do love to fly." Maktesh looked about breathing in the beautiful foliage of the clearing and the serene waterfall. "This is a really nice place. What are you doing out here?" Maktesh inquired.

Brielle - October 12, 2006 02:52 AM (GMT)
Brielle listened intently as he spoke of his past. "I love flying as well, though I seem to travel by foot more often." Brielle thought about this as the stranger spoke again. "Just enjoying my surroundings. I was just walking with no particular destination, when I found myself here. What are you doing here?" Brielle returned the question.

Maktesh - October 12, 2006 06:40 PM (GMT)
"Pretty much the same. I was flying, I find it calming, and saw these water falls and decided to check them out." Maktesh replied. "Oh wow, we haven't even been properly introduced. I'm Maktesh." Maktesh looked about him. It really was a beautiful place. The small waterfall gently roiled the clear pool.

Brielle - October 12, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
Brielle was surprised when Maktesh pointed out that they had not introduced themselves. "Pleasure to meet you Maktesh. I'm Brielle." she replied as she slightly nodded her head. A brightly colored butterfly caught Brielle's eye and she watched as it ascended towards the tops of the trees.

Maktesh - October 12, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
Maktesh looked about a bit sheepishly as the conversation lulled. "So... where are you from? I grew up on a farm, but I recently traveled to the city. It was quite a shock, very diffrent." Maktesh looked about, the world was alive with sound. This was the way he liked it, nature singing about him. The city was nice, but he would always be more at home in the countryside.

Brielle - October 12, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
Brielle looked around not sure what to say next when Maktesh finally spoke. "Where am I from?" Brielle ran the question through her mind a few times. She hadn't had a home in so long she felt guilty that she could hardly remember. "I grew up in a city. Not a very big one though. My family was killed when I was very young and I've lived alone wandering the countryside ever since.

Maktesh - October 14, 2006 04:59 AM (GMT)
Brielle seemed a but hesitant to speak of her home. Maktesh understood. As they stood there the awkward silence grew, only to be interupted by a quiet bubbling. "Do you hear that?" Maktesh asked Brielle. Suddenly a scalled beast rose from the water. With a look of intense evil in his eyes he approached Maktesh and Brielle. He flexed his bulging muscles and let loose with an earth-shattering roar. The thing had to be at least nine feet tall and seemed to be part man and part fish. Baring sharp fangs and deadly claws the thing slowly approached the shore.

Brielle - October 14, 2006 05:14 AM (GMT)
Brielle's ears perked up as she listened. She could hear the bubbling now too. Her eyes widened in fear as she looked upon the scaley creature that arose from the water. Brielle jumped back as it roared with an incredible ferociousness. Brielle's muscles seemed to be frozen. She couldn't make her body move. All she could do was stand there and wait for Maktesh to make the first move.

Maktesh - October 14, 2006 03:42 PM (GMT)
"Why is it always that the raging beasts want to fight?" Maktesh said with a sigh. "Oh well, it doesn't look as though diplomacy will work on this fellow." Maktesh drew his holy broadsword from it's leather sheath between his wings with a blinding speed. Maktesh looked at the sword's thick blade. "Well, the blade isn't on fire, so I guess our new friend isn't evil. Let's let him make the first move."

Brielle - October 14, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
Brielle watched as Maktesh whipped out his sword and examined the blade. Brielle nodded slightly. "A Holy Broadsword. Hmm... come to think of it, I don't detect any evil around this place either." Brielle loosened up and watched as the scaley creature took another step towards them.

Maktesh - October 14, 2006 05:20 PM (GMT)
As the huge scaly beast continued forward Maktesh wondered silently what it's first move would be. His silent question was answered sooner than he would have liked. The beast lunged forward and swung his hulking arms. Maktesh barely had enough time to use his wings to propel him backwards out of the beast's reach. Sand shot upwards in gouts of brightness as the beast's razor sharp claws slammed into the ground. It turned it's head noticing Brielle. Maktesh lifted his broadsword and charged the beast from the side, but not before he could take a swing at Brielle.

Ryule - October 16, 2006 07:39 AM (GMT)
Ryule walked through a small patch of trees and came to a small clearing. In the distance he heard a large crash, as if something had hit hard into the ground. Shortly after the sound faded, he heard the faint sound of the falls. He wasn't in his Angelic form, he wore a white robe with a large red sash spiriling slightly around him, gripping one end on his arm. His golden hair lightly brushed back in the breeze as he picked up his pace, eager to find out what the crash was.

"Is anyone there?" He yelled. But his question went unanswered as his eyes fixated on two celestials in a brawl with a large scaled monster.

Without thinking anything through, Ryule brandished his spear and charged the monster.

Brielle - October 17, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
Brielle's eyes widened as the monster turned its head towards her. She pulled out her sword and watched as it moved towards her. It lifted its huge claws and swung them downwards as Maktesh charged on the beast. She barely doged the monster and managed to get small slice out of its wrist. Out of nowhere, a newcomer charged into the fight. Brielle was caught off guard and the monster took another swing at her. She ducked just in time.

Ryule - October 17, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)
Ryule came up from behind the beast, and watched as it slashed at the girl, she dodged but he noticed it was going in for another attack. Thinking quickly, he stabbed the fiend in the back, as the monster let out a blood curdling cry, it turned to him, and swiped at Ryule. He ducked and spun clockwise on the ground, and pushed himself into a psuedo-backflip, landing solidly. He held his lance at the ready, then taking a leap to the beast, he was struck down by its massive claws. Flipping in mid-air, he landed once again on his feet, and charged the enemy, impaling his spear into the bowels of the creature.

Maktesh - October 17, 2006 11:53 PM (GMT)
Maktesh watched a bit in shock as another angelic being appeared out of nowhere and joined the fight. As the beast unsuccessfully swung at Brielle and the newcomer engaded it Maktesh spread his wings and took to the sky soaring as high and as fast as he possibly could. Upon reaching the zenith of his flight he folded back his wings and rocketed downward towards the monster. His holy broadsword held outward as if it were a horn or claw of some sort he reached the end of his kamakazi plunge with the force of a ton of bricks. The broadsord sunk deeply into the back of the monster's neck and the beast began to twitch violently with Maktesh still straddling it's shoulders. Maktesh landed in the pool of water with a ferocious splash and his holy broadsword still embedded withing the beast's back.

Kyaera - October 19, 2006 04:06 AM (GMT)
Kyaera had been wandering around when she'd heard strange noises in the distance. Noises of a battle... Quickly she pulled out her sword holding it out at the ready. This could mean trouble... sneeking carefully through the trees she watched three angels battling a large scaley monster. Wide eyed she jumped through the clearing to see if she could help as one of the angels flew into the air and stabbed the great beast in the back.

"Whoa." She said throughly impressed by his maneuver.

((I hope no one minds I joined... I thought the angel theme was cool here  ))

Brielle - October 24, 2006 03:21 AM (GMT)
Brielle stood back and watched as the two others fought the monster. They didn't seem to need her help anymore. Maktesh flew towards the beast and stabbed his sword into its back. As Maktesh splashed back to the ground Brielle heard movement behind her. Sword at the ready, she spun around and saw another angel girl. Brielle sheathed her sword relieved it wasn't another monster.

Ryule - October 25, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
Ryule held his spear towards the beast, it seemed to stray in it's place, loosing consciousness and balance. However, the beast had not yet had enough, and lunged towards Ryule for a final attack. Nimbly avoiding the clumsy attack, he stepped to the side, and sank his spear into the monster's neck. It lied lifeless on the grass.

"I think it's over." Ryule said stepping back from the corpse.

Maktesh - October 26, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
Maktesh slashed his way out of the pool of water and pulled his sword out from the back of the monster's neck. He tenderly washed the blood and slowly encrusting gore from it. Shaking his large wings dry he approached the individuals who had so selflessly aided Brielle and his defense. "Thanks for the aid. I'm Maktesh. Looks as though we have a bit of an angel party going on."

Ryule - October 26, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
Ryule watched the angel wash his sword of blood and then cringed as a shooting pain crept up his left arm. Lifting his red sash, he noticed that when he was struck by the monster, his arm had taken the force, and a gash now stood as proof. He casted a minor heal and shifted the sash back over his arm. "Thanks for the aid. I'm Maktesh. Looks as though we have a bit of an angel party going on,"he heard the angel say. He walked over to him and held out his hand.

"I'm Ryule, it was nothing really. It just seemed as though you could use a bit of help," Ryule said.

Kyaera - October 26, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
Kyaera sheathed her sword and walked closer to the other angels. "I'm sorry I wasn't of more help..." She trailed off and stepped toward the water, crouching down and let it run over her fingers. "What was that thing anyways? I've never seen a beast like that before..." A slight breeze blew her blonde hair out of her eyes as she glanced over at the one who had said his name was Maktesh and the other named Ryule.

Brielle - November 2, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Brielle watched as the monster was finished off. Maktesh splashed out of the water and introduced himself to the new comers and the other angel introduced himselfas Ryule. "I'm Brielle. Pleasure to meet you Ryule." The girl angel did not introduce herself but asked about the creature. "I don't know what it was either." Brielle waited for Maktesh or Ryule to speak up.

Maktesh - November 2, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
"I have no idea." Maktesh stated, "but my guess is that it lives in water." Maktesh looked about at the three angels. It seemed at bit strange and he wondered what how many of them were full angels, and if any of them were only half like him.

Kyaera - November 3, 2006 12:13 AM (GMT)
"Yes, it would seem so." She thought for a moment, then shook her head in puzzlement. "Oh, I'm Kyaera." Glancing around she thought it strange that she'd run into a party of angels. She'd previously only met two angels, strange to run into a group here. Kyaera glanced over at them again and remained silent.

Brielle - November 3, 2006 10:28 PM (GMT)
When Kyaera introduced herself, Brielle remembered that she had met this angel girl before out on the beach. Brielle found it interesting that they should cross paths again. Brielle felt slightly uncomfortable as the conversation drifted to silence. She glanced around the trees trying to decide what to say next.

Cypher - November 4, 2006 08:16 AM (GMT)
Cypher was romaing around when he walked into the group of people. It seemed there were angels and other human liek creatures. He walked towards them cautiously, careful not to give away his position. He was curious of what they were up to here in this place. He himself had been wandering around, looking for new adventures to go on. He soon sensed that they were good guys. Nothing evil or bad was in them. He eased his hands form his sword hilt. Being an elf, he himself had follwoed the path of the light, and would not slay anytihng that posed no threat to him. He walked out form his hiding place and walked towards the group.
"Hello guys, I am Cypher the Wanderer. And who may I ask might you be?"

Kyaera - November 4, 2006 11:45 PM (GMT)
Kyaera was suprised to see another new person. "I'm Kyaera." She said with a smile, assuming that he wasn't intending to harm them, for if that was his intention he could've done it already. Kyaera tilted her head to the side and glanced at the others. As she glanced back at the strange she was curious to find out who he was.

Cypher - November 5, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
Cypher could tell that the Kyaera was probably a half human half angel. At least he knew that these people were good and not of the dark side.
"Nice to meet you Kyaera. As I told you before, I am Cypher, and I am a wanderer of the land." He looked at the other people.
"Seems like you guys are planning something, I was wondering if I could join you guys." He gave a big smile.

Brielle - November 5, 2006 10:46 PM (GMT)
Brielle turned to the newcomer as he walked up to them. She listened as he introduced himself. "Hello. I'm Brielle." Brielle slightly bowed her head. Cypher asked if he could join the group. "Join us?" Brielle thought about the newly formed group. Had they planned on staying together? Brielle decided she'd let someone else answer the question.

Maktesh - November 16, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
"You all plan on sticking together for a bit?" Maktesh inquired as he readjusted his holy broadsword on is back. "Not that I oppose the idea. Sounds good to me, and I don't have any plans." Maktesh looked about silently waiting for the others to reply.

Ryule - November 19, 2006 04:56 AM (GMT)
Ryule walked up to Maktesh. The half-angel was quite a bit taller than he.

"Maktesh, you said your name was?" Ryule began, "We have time to kill, how do you feel about a bit of a spar?"

Ryule was in his human form, and looked quite frail. He noticed he did not seem menacing at all. Not that this was his intent, but he pushed that out of his mind. Ryule glowed, and began to take his angelic shape. Still almost 4 inches shorter than him, Ryule stood about 3 feet from the fellow half-angel.
