Title: A piece of home
Description: open to all

Astra - September 28, 2006 06:25 PM (GMT)
Wlking through the grassland Astra had found herself entering a lush wood, it looked pretty solitary to her. Several small woodland animals scurried out of her way as she walked through it taking in every detail, in many ways it reminded her of her home; there had been a forest nearby there too, a beutiful one alive with life and colour, this one wasn't nearly as pretty but was certainly as peaceful and was as close as Astra was going to get to home.

She walked on for a while taking in the colours and smells and all the different sounds. She stopped near a tall oak and sat down leaning her back against it careful not to touch it directly or be blamed for starting a forest fire. She leaned back resting her head against the bark and looking up through the leaves at the sky overhead and listening to the birds singing to each other, she felt like almost falling asleep, the sight was peaceful and mesmerising. She closed her eyes enjoying at least one moment of peace.

After a while she realised that she had fallen asleep, she pushed herself to her feet wondering how long she'd been snoozing for, she looked up and saw that the rays of light were going in the opposite direction. She'd been asleep all day, she groaned to herself, she was far too realxed these days but at least nothing terrible had happened to her. All of a sudden she could almost half sense somebody else approaching, she could just make out breathing other than her own, she turned around slowly.

"Hello? Who's there? If there is anybody there,"
she looked into the trees looking for the figure.

Keroza - September 28, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
Keroza walked through the woods taking in as much detail as he could should he need to battle in this terrain, he was not wearing any of his armour at all and his longsword was slung loosely at his side, he raised one finger and a small blue bird fluttered down onto it blinking at him and chirping. It hopped left to right looking at him.
"I only wish I could be as free as you," he sighed.
The bird chiruped at him and flew off seeminlgy dissapointed that Keroza wasn't interesting enough, or lacking in food.

Keroza watched it go slightly envious of the careless creature. He shoved his hands in his pocket and walked on listening to the sounds of his own breathing and the crunching of dry leaves under his foot. He looked up at the sounds of soft breathing ahead of him, not wishing to disturb whoever it was he quietened his pace making his slow progress across the woods.

But after the sound of movement he concluded that the person must be getting to their feet, he looked up.
"Hello? Who's there? If there is anybody there," the voice called.
A child Keroza thought alone in the woods? Why?
He walked closer and into the visible spectrum, he raised both hands.
"Don't be alarmed," he said "I do not wish to harm you I am a traveler, my name is Keroza. May I ask why you're out here all alone?"

Astra - September 28, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
Astra looked up as a figure appeared from the trees, he had his hands up and a longsword at his side.
"Don't be alarmed, I do not wish to harm you I am a traveler, my name is Keroza." the man said.
Astra realxed slightly, she'd been getting jumpy at nothing.

"May I ask why you're out here all alone?"

"Er, it's a bit of a long story,"
Astra said "and I don't really want to go in to it right now."
She sat back down on the grass looking back up at the sky overhead.

"Oh, yeah. My name's Astra by the way, nice to met you."
she said "you travel alot?"

Keroza - September 28, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
"Er, it's a bit of a long story," the girl replied hesitantly "and I don't really want to go in to it right now."
"I see," Keroza said putting his hands into his pockets and tilting his head slightly.
The girl sat back down on the grass up against an old oak tree, Keroza examined it from where he stood planning to use it as a landmark if ever he may need it. The girl was looking up at the sky in a dreamy way, Keroza followed her gaze.
"Oh, yeah. My name's Astra by the way, nice to met you." she said bringing Keroza's thoughts back to ground.
"Likewise," he said nodding slightly.
"you travel alot?" she asked him.
Keroza moved closer and sat down next to her glad for an oppertunity to rest.
"Yes," he said "All the time, I've nowhere to go and no home to return to, I'm always moving on. Persoanlly I prefer a life like that, you see more of the world if you go out to see it rather than staying safe, taking risks is what made me who I am."
He looked over at Astra looking up at the sky, she seemed entranced by it.
"I travel to see the world mostly,"
he said "do you travel for that reason?"

Astra - September 28, 2006 07:35 PM (GMT)
Astra looked down from gazing at the sky and resumed her gaze on Keroza waiting for his answer, he seemed to be examening the tree with interest, she looked up at it briefly but saw nothing of interest. Keroza moved closer and sat down before answering
"Yes,"
he replied "All the time, I've nowhere to go and no home to return to, I'm always moving on. Persoanlly I prefer a life like that, you see more of the world if you go out to see it rather than staying safe, taking risks is what made me who I am."
"Oh,"
Astra said feeling sorry for Keroza all of a sudden "well, I...Hm."
He looked over at Astra and she suddenly found herself looking up at the sky quickley.

"I travel to see the world mostly," he concluded "do you travel for that reason?"
Astra looked down and back over at Keroza.

"Well, I travel to get away I guess,"
she replied "my life was pretty hectic when I...Left home."
She looked down at her hands fiddling with an imaginary object in her fingers.

"Well I don't really have a home to go to either,"
she said "I don't know what would happen if I went back."
She leaned back against the tree resting her head on it sideways looking over at Keroza.

"I guess that means we have something in common I guess,"
she said "but why can't you go home?"

Kiara_Lenaya - September 28, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
Kiara was strolling through the forest, looking at the trees and anaimals. The air smelled nice and the foliage was in bloom. As she walked she heard voices of two people ahead. Feeling friendly herself she walked towards the voices, one a female, one a male.
As she got closer she saw them, the woman looked quite young to her, but then again, she herself looked mighty young, so she really couldnt judge.
she ducked behind a tree and guaged the man. He was tall and looked battle hardened, but currently looked very relaxed. He wore no armor and had a sword slung on his hip, but his hands were in his pockets.
She shrugged and strode out from behind the tree.
"Hello." she said.

Keroza - September 29, 2006 10:40 AM (GMT)
"Well, I travel to get away I guess," Astra replied "my life was pretty hectic when I...Left home."
"I see," Keroza muttered in response.
Astra appeared to be fiddling with a non existant objext in her hands and not looking up, Keroza looking up into the trees and though he caugh a glimse of something moving.
"Well I don't really have a home to go to either, I don't know what would happen if I went back."
Keroza was only half listening and trying to spot the source of the noise.
"I guess that means we have something in common I guess, but why can't you go home?"
Keroza looked back over at her.
"Because...Because I..." he looked up again at another noise.
He stood up putting his hands back in his pockets.
A woman in her early 20s walked out from behind the tree.
"Hello," she said.
"Hello," Keroza said nodding slightly in reply "not snooping are you?" He asked lightly.

Kiara_Lenaya - September 29, 2006 11:56 AM (GMT)
Kiara grinned, and crossed her arms over her chest, the claws showing.
"If I was snooping, do you think id be out here saying hi?" she said, with mock seriousness. The two didnt seem too light hearted at the moment, she was determined to change that.
"My name is Kiala." she said, with a broad over exagerated bow.

Keroza - September 29, 2006 11:59 AM (GMT)
The stranger grinned and folded her amrs, Keroza noted a set of claws.
Half dragon, he concluded.
"If I was snooping, do you think id be out here saying hi?" she said.
"Hm, points taken." Keroza said.
"My name is Kiala." she continued with a deep bow.
Keroza watched her go down and then rise again.
"I see," he said with a slight grin "my name is Keroza."
Rather now bowing he gave a slight nod, he wasn't into all the fancy bowing that people seemed to do alot of nowadays.

Astra - September 29, 2006 12:07 PM (GMT)
Astra noticed Keroza looking up through the woods.
"What's wrong?" she asked.
She looked ahead into the trees, a half dragon stepped out from behind a tree looking over at them.

"Hello." she said to them.
Astra stared at her for a moment then got to her feet.

"Hi,"
she said.
"Hello not snooping are you?"
Keroza replied nodding slightly.
Astra looked up at him briefly and then back over to the newcomer.

"If I was snooping, do you think id be out here saying hi?" she said.
"Hm, points taken."

"My name is Kiala." She continued bowing deeply.
"Hi Kiala,"
Astra said unsure wether or not to bow in reply and found hersefl caught halfway between a bow and a nod "my name's Astra nice to meet you." she said feeling slightly embarassed.

Kiara_Lenaya - September 29, 2006 07:33 PM (GMT)
Kiara giggled, as she saw the girls embarresment, at giving a half bowing nod. She enjoyed playing with people, and these two didnt seem to be at her throat, so she eased up a little.
"Hello Astra. Whos your untrusting friend?" Kiara asked with a grin.
The man seemed somewhat serious to her.
"And what are we all doing out here on a day like this anyways?" she asked.

Astra - September 29, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
Kaira giggle and Astra straightened up again blushing and pushing a lock of her hair behind one of her pointed ears.
"Sorry,"
she muttered apologetically.
"Hello Astra. Whos your untrusting friend?" Kaira asked after getting a grip on herself.
Astra looked up at Keroza.

"Well I kinda only just met him so I don't know that much,"
she said.
"And what are we all doing out here on a day like this anyways?"
"Oh thats easy,"
Astra said looking up "I like it here, it reminds me of home."

Keroza - September 30, 2006 09:03 PM (GMT)
Astra indroduced herslef and gave a slightly reluctant half bow to which the half dragon giggled and Astra came up embarrased.
"Hello Astra. Whos your untrusting friend?" Kaira said.
Keroza looked up at bieng called an untrusting friend, he was just a lot more cautius than most people were and he could probably answer himself without anybody explaining him to them.
"Well I kinda only just met him so I don't know that much,"
Astra said looking up at Keroza.
He glanced down briefly at her then back up at Kaira.
"My name is Keroza," he said "and I'd probably be less untrusting if you'd just come steaight out rather than trying to hide, that kind of thing can spark of people's suspisions you know."
He ignored the next question waiting for Kaira to say something else.

Kiara_Lenaya - September 30, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
Kiara raised an eyebrow at the man. She hadnt been sneaking, and she had come out into the open and said hi.
"I did come straight out. I didnt wait around snooping." she said.
This man was a bore to her. He was too serious.
She grinned, and said, "well, anyways, hello Keroza, nice to meet you."
She then looked to the girl saying, "This place reminds you of home?"
She looked around the forest and said, "Must have been a rather secluded home."

Astra - September 30, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Astra thought Keroza was bieng a bit rude, after all Kaira wasn't exactly trying to cut their throats, she was trying to have a conversation and Keroza's mistrusteful heir was getting on her nerves. But she ignroed it for now.
"This place reminds you of home?" Kaira said bringing Astra out of her thoughts.
Astra noticed her glance about the forest.

"Must have been a rather secluded home." she finished.
Astra glanced about the forest brifly too, unsure of how to answer.

"Er, yeah it was kinda,"
she said rubbing her arm absent mindidly "it was kinda suppsoed to be."
