Title: How did I get here...?
Description: open
Vashiella - September 24, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
The young elven angel surveyed her surrroundings, though all that she could see was rock and cobwebs. "I take shelter in a cave for the night, and this is what I get..." She sighed, knocking an arrow on her bow. "I'm just glad I haven't met anything in here yet... Who knows what's hiding in here..." She had been searching for the exit for hours, but to no avail. "Hello?" She called out for what seemed to be the hundredth time. As usual, nobody answered. "There's gotta be a way out of here... Right?"
Samarin - September 25, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
Why? Why had he come down here? It wasnt that he was scared. A demi god had little to be scared of but now it was just plain annoying. Cobwebs hung down all over the place. It really did get in the way. He had ended up down here because he thought it was just a cave system. Nice to get down to earth sort of thing. Now he was lost and covered from head to foot in cobwebs. He could just use a gate to get out of here but that would mean traveling from his shrine all the way back to ungol, and it would take an age.
No he was stuck here and he had to find away out sooner or later or he would not be best pleased. He heared some noises further down the tunnels. He shook his head, drow most likly. Damned creatures got every where that was underground.
His hand tightend on his broad sword. He drew it slowly.
He rounded the corner and he almost lashed out at the 12 year old elf that stood before him. He only just held back his weapon. "by the gods i almost killed you. He breathed out heavly. He pushed the sword into his belt. "I tell you what im to damned edgy for my own good sometimes. He sat down on a rock. He knew she wasnt evil. His sword would have burst into flames if she was. No she was good. He held out a hand. "names samarin"
Vashiella - September 25, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Vashiella jumped back as the boy approached, sword in hand, aiming her bow as he entered. When she realized that he meant no harm, the elven angel placed the arrow back into the quiver. "Uhh, hello," She said quietly, averting her eyes, "I'm sorry, I wasn't really expecting anyone down here... It's a pretty desolate place. If you don't mind me asking, do you know the way out of here? I've been wandering these tunels for hours now... Oh, and I am Vashiella. Very nice to meet you..."
Samarin - September 25, 2006 08:54 PM (GMT)
(lol boy)
He nodded, "Vashiella, what a nice name. He smiled. He scrapped the cobwebs off his face and out of his blue hair. They realy got every where. He yawned, he had been down here for what was it? About two days now all because he was to lazy to use a portal to get out of here. Well now he had another life to protect, and a young one at that. If it came to it he would get her out with out hesitation. "Well Vashiella im afraid im pretty lost in here." It was strange he normaly never got lost in caves. They simply where and he knew the way.
Then it hit him. He was an idiot. He could just ask the rocks for the directions. They did after all talk to him. He geussed he hadnt thought of it up to know to find this girl. It could have been the fates but he knew that it was a load of bogus nonsense. It was just pure chance. He rose to his feet. "You know what Vashiella, actualy im going to call you vash, its easyer. He notted to the world in general. " I think i can get us out of here. He was having one of those days, he was behaving eraticly, exentricly. He was not his usual self but its how he acted from time to time. He put his hands onto the stone wall. His face close. He whispered to it in dwarvish. Then elvish, common and finaly drow. In the rocks own way it replyed to him.
He nodded and smiled. He looked back the way Vashiella had come. "ready to get out of here?" he asked.
Vashiella - September 25, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
"Uh, of course," She said, though she wasn't entirely sure that she could trust this one. He's certainly a little odd... She thought, but decided to keep that to herself. "Lead the way, sir. And by the way... What kind of creatures live in here? I've seen a lot of cobwebs, but there can't be that many spiders... Can there?"
Zenith Meria - September 25, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
Zenith had went into Ungol Felas, the Spider Caves, In search for his brother Alba. The young Arch Angel still had on his full set of Resplendent Armour covering him from head to foot. In his right hand was a large ball of light made from a spell the angel had cast upon entering and held tight in the grip of his left hand was his Holy Blade that he called Salvation. The blade was one of the three Brother Blades in Arda, the most powerfull blades any mortal could weild, while on his back lay the Blade of Balance, the most powerfull of the three blades.
Zenith also had three more blades on his person, a shadow dagger, a dagger made from the tooth of Ita the goddess of chaos and also his Resplendent Countering Longsword. The angel had not had much luck in finding Alba so far in these caves, however he had encounter three very large powerfull spiders, luckily his sun beam spell had taken care of the beast.
Soon the angel heard voices ahead of him, one sounding like someone he knew. Thats when Zenith said "Samarin, Is that you up ahead?" Zenith knew this could have been a foolish thing to do, but if he had to battle someone the angel was ready for combat as always.
Samarin - September 26, 2006 09:30 AM (GMT)
He looked at Vash, "Sorry if im acting a little strangly, I get like this when i've missed sleep. I can be pretty exentric at times. Well the spiders here.... they.... well theres a lot of them and some of them are more and a little big." Down here he had seen ones the size of dogs. They had shattered under his blade but he was pretty sure their where bigger ones out there. Down the tunnel he could here more sounds.
Samarin turned around and blinked at the light coming this way. He had made do with his good sight underground. He never had really needed anything else. As he peared through the light he could just make out the glint of the armour and the curve of his wings. He nodded. It was Zenith. Admitedly they had not known each other long but already they had been through quite a bit. They had even faught the riders of the apocalypse.
"Zenith, you look a bit made up for a picknic in the woods, what are you doing down here." He looked at him. His eyes had grown acustom to the light now. "Well Zen this is Vashiella. Vashiella this is Zenith, a keep of the deed and a holy and pius zelot" He joked. He didnt mean it. Had Samarin not had other comitments to his shrine he might have joined the keepers. Simply because their was no guild allied to nature and it was a holy guild and fit well with his veiws.
Vashiella - September 26, 2006 09:28 PM (GMT)
"Greetings, Lord Zenith," She said politely, curtsying as a proper lady should. "Well, now I believe we should get out of here, before something does come... I've never liked spiders, actually. They give me the creeps... I've got a bow, but I'm not sure what that would do. I'm just glad that you two showed up... Thank you very much for aiding me. I don't have much money, but if there is anything that you will accept of mine, then you may take it as a thank-you gift."
Zenith Meria - September 27, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
Zenith was glad to see he was no longer alone, but, the reason he had come to these caves was because he thought his brother was within them. If he was then the others would also be in danger from Alba. Thats when Zenith heard the young woman speak, with a smile from under his helm the young angel said "Nice to meet you Miss, and I require no gift, other than maybe the gift of friendship by the time we leave this place." His eyes then fell onto Samarin so that Zenith could answer the question the gaurdian had asked, "It is good to see you once more great Gaurdian of the Earth. As for why I am here, all I may say is that it concerns my brother Alba." The young angel then tightened his grip on his blade and made his light spell go out as he awaited the reply from the others.
This place was indeed dark, but still it was strange being in here, it was Zeniths first time within these caves and he had no idea where he was going, or what he was likely to face as well. It was a large mystery for the young member of the Keepers of the Sacred Deed.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 27, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
Kiara walked along the dark tunnel looking around. curiosity had gotten the better of her and shed followed an animal down into the cobweb infested tunnels. Now she was lost. Most hopelessly and assuredly lost.
She walked with a bounce, hands behind her back for no particular reason looking at the webs. It was stinky and it was warm down here, and webs had gotten caught on her tail spikes when she went through a narrow passage and it wasnt coming off.
she wasnt very worried for her safty, she hadnt seen anything big or nasty yet, she was just worried shed be stuck down there till she died.
Suddenly she heard noises up ahead at a tunnel junction. she ran quickly to the junction, and looked around the corner and ducked back quickly.
She saw an angel and two humans.
"Not good. Not good. Now I am worried." she thought to herself.
Humans and angels never really seemed to warm up to her. Even at her diminuative size and tinyness, for a half-dragon, let alone the complete lack of hostility, people always thought her dangerous.
Granted she could be dangerous but shed rather be having fun.
she placed a hand on her small katana and peeped around the corner watching the beings. she slid the katana part way out, hoping they didnt hear the sound of steel on steel.
Well, at least ill be ready if they find me.
Samarin - September 28, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
"Lay off all that great guardain stuf zenith. But the brother part is more seriuse. Ive heared of him. Only in passing i know you can handle him but should you need help... well you know where i am." He smiled he had never liked the whole groveling gig. He intested prefered some respect but no more than he was due. Even the mentaioning of alba would not change his amiable nature.
"well i know a way out, the rocks told me, they will guide us and not lead us astray. The rocks have little time for men and such things as deseate. On a slightly darker note, there is someone watching us. The rocks whispered it to me. They sayed people coming, i thought they made a mistake but there is some one else here."
He took his sword and drew it from his belt. It rested heavy in his hands. It was awcwared and for the first time he felt strange in using it. Tunnels where no place to weild swords. He moved from the pair, moving past zenith. His eyes fixed up ahead of the tunnel. He cast the entangle spell. Vines sprouted from the walls of the tunnel up ahead. They squirmed and writhed trying to tangle up Kiara, it wasnt that samarin knew anything about her but all he knew was someone was spying. In any case it was a harmless spell only stopping someone get away or attack, if it worked she would be stuck but there was more than one way of escaping them. He spoke
"Why where you spying? Its more than a little hard to sneak up on a nature guardain in his element." He looked at his sword. It hadnt burst into flames so she wasnt evil. "Well your not evil which is a start,"
Kiara_Lenaya - September 28, 2006 07:42 PM (GMT)
Kiara yelped in suprise as vines sprang from the walls and tangled her up. They wrapped around her feet and the hand on the wall, along with her sword hand.
Not good! She thought.
She began to panic. Movement was her strong point. If she couldnt move, she was good as dead.
She then heard a mans voice, "Why where you spying? Its more than a little hard to sneak up on a nature guardain in his element. Well your not evil which is a start,"
She pouted. Just her luck. At least he didnt think she was evil.
"Im not spying!" She yelled back.
Luckily they hadnt seen her yet, so she had a chance of escape. Great a guardian, just what she needed. she knew how humans reacted to her, but how would these Guardians act, he sounded powerfull.
Zenith Meria - September 28, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)
Zenith seen Samarin catch someone with some vines behind him, the young angel then looked over to where a new voice had come from. Who was this new person that had come now? The angel said a single command under his breath and his armour set unlinked from each other so he was able to remove his helm. Once his helm was removed Zenith held it under his left arm after putting his Blade of Balance away. His Holy Blade, better know to others in Arda as Salvation, was still gripped in his right hand. Zenith could also tell this new person was not evil because he had not felt anything of her appearance and Zenith had the Detect Evil spell within him.
Slowly the young angel walked over to where this new voice had come from and seen the outline of a dragon like being tangled in the vines. Zeniths long light brown hair now flowed down the side of his face and down his back, before he spoke to this new being Zenith once again cast the light spell and his hand burst into light, the glow showing the form of this new person. Once seeing the being was infact a half dragon, and a female one Zenith said to her, "Miss, We shall not harm you, unless of course you are to attack us. My name is Zenith Meria, and you have my word that we shall not cause you harm, if your path is pure then you have my help." The young Divine Protector and Keeper of the Sacred Deed once again showing he would always follow the path of Holiness and give any being a fair chance.
Zenith then smiled as he looked back to Samarin and said "I feel it safe to let her go, She is not a being of evil, and a battle within this place may result in us all being trapped inside. You may be very powerfull Samarin, and unable to die, but we are mortals who would not survive in a cave in." The angel was sure that Samarin would not take this as an insult, but as a clear indication that others lives were in danger within these caves, it was not known what exact lay within them. Zenith had even heard stories of being that were half man, half spider being within these caves. If this was true then all would have to be on gaurd at all times, but still be aware of ways to stay out of fighting for now.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 28, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
Kiara heard the footsteps come closer and pouted.
There goes my hope of escape, she thought.
then to her suprise an angel rounded the corner. A light came on from his hand and he said, "Miss, We shall not harm you, unless of course you are to attack us. My name is Zenith Meria, and you have my word that we shall not cause you harm, if your path is pure then you have my help."
Kiara grinned not intentionaly flashing her rather sharper than human teeth, "Yes, I'm pure. And I wasnt spying."
She listened to the angel speak with the Guardian. She heard that he was immortal, and thought, "Deffinitly chose the wrong group."
She tried to knock the vines off her hands, but they held tight.
"Freedom would be good." she said, beginning to bite the vines.
Samarin - September 28, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
He waved a hand and the vines died, crumbling away from the walls and here. "well zenith my intention wasnt to hurt her. It could have been anyone but you right, i did act rashly. He turned back to the newcomer and extended a hand. "Im sorry, I did not mean to act the way I did, Ironicly im normaly peacefull. Anything could be lurking down here. I know their are spiders but there is much worse please forgive me i was in fact trying to protect vash and i supose zenith but he does not need it" In truth he was truly sorry it was not like him to react like that, even in situations such as this one.
It was true their where beings in here that even drows steared clear of. Driders who prowled the tunnels. They where a sight to behold. Samarin had seen more than a few in the dwarf underhalls that lay abandoned beneith his old mine. He shuddered. "Well moving on from my violent blunder I there are two ways out of here. Well three if you count dead. We could try to follow the rocks discription or take a portal back to my shrine. Down side to that is that it lays well over the other side of arda. So we have a dilema" In truth he wanted to make it out through the tunnels but if it ment risking these two womens lives then he was not sure he could do that. He would in theory be risking Zeniths but he had a feeling if it came to it Zenith would cut Samarins form to shreads. H
Kiara_Lenaya - September 28, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
Kiala grined at the Guardian. shed never had anyone apologize to her before.
she took his hand, careful not to cut it with her claws, and said, "Apology accepted."
the man then said, "Well moving on from my violent blunder I there are two ways out of here. Well three if you count dead. We could try to follow the rocks discription or take a portal back to my shrine. Down side to that is that it lays well over the other side of arda. So we have a dilema"
Kiara thought for a bit, what harm could be down here, why not walk. She was still curious about this place.
"I vote we walk." She said, and nodded her head almost at the same time for no particular reason. a strand of hair broke loose and she blew it out of the way.
Vashiella - September 29, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
"Yes, walking is probably the best choice... But of course, it is up to you, Lord Samarin," She added quickly. "Anything that you want is fine with me, o great Guardian of the Earth. Thank you very much for your help, sir. And you, too, Lord Zenith." She looked towards Kiala, extending a delicate elven hand. "I am Vashiella. It is very nice to meet you."
Zenith Meria - September 29, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
Alot had happened in only a few moments, Zenith looked at everyone in the caves at that moment then sighed as he placed his helm back onto his head. Once the helm was in place Zeniths entire armour seemed to link into one full piece with no gaps in the metal work. He then made the light in his hand go out once again and took Judgement into his left hand, he now had his Holy Blade and Blade of Balance in hand again and said to the others "Ok, then we shall walk. But please be carefull of the Driders within these caves, those are out main threats as of yet i would think." The young angel then walked just a little ahead of the others with things on his mind.
As he continued to walk on the Keeper thought to himself, "Alba, I really hope you are not here just now. I want to face you alone, to prove I can slay you in combat my dear brother. I need to prove to you that Evil will not win, you need to be slain for the lives you have taken Alba. Im just sorry that the person to do it must be me." He then looked down at the ground as he walked on more.
Samarin - September 29, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
Samarin nodded, if they wanted to walk then they would walk together. He could not risk then being left as zenith said, driders lived in these caves. He had faught them before and he had not come of lightly but that was when he hadnt been realised as the earth guardain. but still it was an expersiance he did not want to repeate. "Well Vash, no lord stuff please. I'm just samarin, after all its more friendly." He smiled at vash and at the new comer. "I never got your name newcomer." He asked. It would be easyer to move along if they did.
He turned and looked up the tunnel. He nodded and began to head up it. He gestured for them to follow.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 29, 2006 07:37 PM (GMT)
"My name is Kiara." she said, as she trotted along behind the one calling himself Zenith.
To her he seemed extremly slow and rather dour, so she sped upa nd went in front of him, walking backwards.
"So whats a drider?" she asked, honestly curious, shed never heard of a drider before, and they sounded somewhat odd to her. She said the word in her mind.
the man seemed as if he needed his mind side tracked anyways.
Zenith Meria - September 29, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
Zenith heard the voice of the Half Dragon female that he had learned was called Kiara, she wanted to know what a Drider was hmm? That would be one thing this Halflings would later regret in time. Zenith let out a small sigh then said "Ok then, I guess I will tell you. A Drider is someone who has the upper half of a human, while the lower half of their bodies are that of a spider. They are very tall, powerfull and extremely fast as well. A real force to contend with." Zenith then looked right towards Kiara to see her reaction to what the Driders were.
The young angel then spread out his large wings and said "Lets just say that if we run into a Drider, its best Samarin and I take care of them. With my Sun Beam spell I can burn them very badly, and alot of my other spells and of course weapons may be usefull. But, If you wish to battle one with us, then Its your choice." Zenith was having trouble being himself within the caves for now, He always got like this when looking for Alba, after all it had been his older brother Alba that had killed the rest of Zeniths family, all the Arch Angel wanted was to stop his brothers chaos from spreading even further.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 29, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
Kiara mouthed an "Oh" when she heard about the drider. It sounded kind of funny to her.
Then the angel said, "Lets just say that if we run into a Drider, its best Samarin and I take care of them. With my Sun Beam spell I can burn them very badly, and alot of my other spells and of course weapons may be usefull. But, If you wish to battle one with us, then Its your choice."
Kiara just stuck her tongue out.
"I can fight too Mr. Holiness." she said and crossed her arms over her chest, thus losing balance for a second and tripping on a rock, almost falling down. She looked up again red with embarresment.
"I meant to do that. Honest." she said, and pulled out her sword.
Zenith Meria - September 29, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
Zenith heard Kiara speak once more and then once again looked at her. He then seen as Kiara almost fell over. She was now blushing and Zenith let out a small laugh. It had been awhile since that angel had laughed, the last person to make him laugh being his close friend Sraxen whom Zenith had a Telepathic link with now. Zenith then managed to stop himself laughing intime to say, "Have a nice trip then?" It was a good thing that he had his helm on as Zenith had a large smirk on his face.
Both Samarin and Vashy had not spoken in a while and Zenith was starting to wonder if the pair were ok. This Kiara person had seemed to take somewhat of an interest in Zenith. He then said to Kiara, "This would have been alot better if my dragon or cerberus had come in here with me." Zenith seemed to have a thing for animals as he had a Falcon, a Panther, a Cerberus and an Adult Plasma Dragon on his side, Ita the goddess of chaos of course not being happy about the Cerberus or Plasma Dragon helping Zenith.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 30, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
"Have a nice trip then?" Zenith said to Kiara.
Kiara just scowled and stuck her tongue out at him. Hopping over a rock she found she could make the humourless one laugh, which was good. She didnt like company of people without a sense of humour. It felt dull and boring. Then the man said, "This would have been alot better if my dragon or cerberus had come in here with me."
Kiara frowned at that.
"I dont do well with dragons." She said. "They make fun of me a lot and its real mean."
Samarin - September 30, 2006 11:45 AM (GMT)
"To be honest they shouldn't be to much trouble in a tunnel like this. I can crush them. I can after all control the rocks. However if we end up in a larger cave then life is going to be very hard for us." It was true, he could close the tunnel on top of them then open it back up to get through later, however in a large cavern they would come at them from every direction and he and zenith would have a hard time of it. He laughed as he watched her trip.
"Thats what you get for being cocky, we're sure you can fight but driders are more than just quick. Many of them have more than a fair share of dark magic and something else we must not forget. They have no scruples. They are like beasts in some respect but they are more than inteligent in others. Given half a chance they will kill us then eat us and i for one do not want to go to the trouble of getting a new body and figuring out how to resurect you all assuming I even have the power to do it so lets just keep a little bit awake." He turned back to the tunnel and peared around a corner. He shook his head, the spiders webs where getting thicker. But the rocks wouldnt leed him astray would they? To him it was inconseveable but it was a dark place. Who knew what dark magic could do to the purity of the earth.
((
dont eat me))
Zenith Meria - September 30, 2006 01:00 PM (GMT)
So they all continued on further through the caves, the rocks leading the way. It was when Zenith seen the mass of spider webs before him that he tightened his grip upon his blades. Both blades then began to glow blue as the Bless Weapon spell came into effect. It was true that Zenith could be rather cold to others at times, but it was best not to make links with people to fast. That way once you must leave them it wont effect either party to much. With his grip still on his now glowing weapons Zenith said to Kiara, Vashy and Samarin, "This is not good, these webs are getting to me. But up ahead, the large opening. Maybe we an make camp there for a while. Its best not to travel in the dead of night in this place after all." The young angel then slowly walked ahead of the others.
The large mass of webs now right infront of him. Zenith lifted his Holy Blade up and fired two blast of holy energy from the blade. These blasts cut through the webs easy and then crashed into the walls of the cave opening ahead. The blasts did hardly any damage to the cave walls since they were low powered, after all Zenith didnt want to cause a cave in already. Once this was done the angel continued walking on, now free from the webs that were once here.
Kiara_Lenaya - September 30, 2006 01:14 PM (GMT)
Kiara walked along the tunnels with the others, looking about her. Then the Guardian spoke and she turne dher head to listen, pushing back a stray lock of hair.
"Thats what you get for being cocky, we're sure you can fight but driders are more than just quick. Many of them have more than a fair share of dark magic and something else we must not forget. They have no scruples. They are like beasts in some respect but they are more than inteligent in others. Given half a chance they will kill us then eat us and i for one do not want to go to the trouble of getting a new body and figuring out how to resurect you all assuming I even have the power to do it so lets just keep a little bit awake."
Kiara gave a nod and a grin, "Dont worry, I'm not one to stay back and get killed."
Coming to a section with a lot more cobwebs, Kiara made a gagging sound and pounted. She hated the cobwebs, they really were getting annoying.
"This is not good, these webs are getting to me. But up ahead, the large opening. Maybe we an make camp there for a while. Its best not to travel in the dead of night in this place after all." The angel said.
Kiara looked around the cavern with an odd look on her face then looked back at the angel and said, "How in the world can you figure out its night? I cant even figure out what time it is down here."
Zenith Meria - September 30, 2006 01:21 PM (GMT)
As Zenith continued on his walk he looked back to Kiara and said "I know it is night, because i have been within these cave about two hours now. And before I can in, it was just coming up for night. The Driders may be out in force soon enough. And if we get trapped I can use my Telepathic link to one of my friends to help us if needed of course." The young angel then walked into the large opening of the cave. It was a very nice sight to behold, and so far not one Drider, or even spider was to be seen. All seemed to be going so well.
That was until Zenith walked over to another part of this section to see even more spider webs, but it was not the webs that worried him, but rather the human that was covered in them, and half eaten. It seemed as though they had all found either a large spiders nest, or a family of Driders. What was going to happen, and where were the beings that had start to fest upon the flesh of the human.
Samarin - September 30, 2006 02:54 PM (GMT)
"The problem is zenith, their is no true night and day down here. Few races adhear to it. Dwarfs do but driders will kill any time of the night or day because down here the night is ever lasting. I know saraxen would be a huge help however how is he going to find us. We got lost, even i got lost and im in my element here. Saraxen will end up wandering like us." He raised a hand, a vine sprang from the earth. It began to lash out at the cobwebs. Cutting though hem and clearing a larger path ahead.
It moved further along after each one untill once in the cave ahead it cut away a swayth of spiders silk. Making a small useble area. "Well there we go. We can rest here while i think of why the rocks seem to be leading me deeper. I think its best if i stop asking them all togher something changed them here. Its not such a good sign." He looked about and raised a fist. From the earth several rocks sprang up. In ther perfect shape for a chair, its back and arm rests. He rasied three otheres and sat in one panting. "Tell you what, it really takes it out of you"
The Red Dragon - October 14, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
Garet peered through the semi-darkness of the cave he had just entered. In his wolf form, he could see quite well in this low light. It was the spiders that bothered him. Why oh why did I come here again? I can't stand spiders! No, but I swore to myself I would do penance for my deed, I might as well face my fear. Yes, that would do part of it. He jumped slightly as he heard noises down the cave. The hair on his back bristling, he continued, jumping at small noises, and carefully avoiding the spiders the size of dinner plates that were crawling along the floor and walls. I am out of my mind! I should just turn back! No, no, not that. I'm in too far now. Maybe I'll find an exit. The wolf crawled on a little further. He began to hear voices ahead. He reckoned about a quarter mile still. Lifting his nose, he sniffed the air, and caught the faint scent of feathers and human. Shaking his head, he pressed onward...
