Title: Back to School

Lothlómendil - September 19, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
It's that time of year again. :( I moved back into my dorm on Sunday, and classes start Wed. (tomorrow, for me). This means I'll be a lot less active, but I'll still be on every day and do stuff, I'll just have less time to read every single post floating around. :p This means that I need my mods and admins to keep an extra eye and ear out for me, but mostly, things should still remain normal. I'll give any updates if needed. B)

Threnody - September 19, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
FINALLY Loth feels the pain that I am into my 3rd week of suffering!!!

:console:

I have faith that we will both make it out alive... and walk away more knowledgable because of it.

Moderation/ Co-Admin TO THE RESCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!

Samarin - September 20, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
we'll work extra hard for you lothy

Puppet Boy - September 20, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Dang I am already in my fourth week of school. Why do you start so late?

Sir Caius Lucius - September 20, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
I know the feeling, I'm on week 4 myself. One of my old friends just started at OSU. Heck at least I get out sooner.

Good luck Loth!

The Blade Trinity - September 20, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
I think they start late because the college people have to go through all the paper work when appecting people and stuff. plus, it gives time for people to get their things like books and stuff. and this way they could move into a dorm if they have one.

Lothlómendil - September 20, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
We start later because it's college, but not because of the above reasons. :p Our classes have a lot of content crammed into not a lot of time, which makes it super hectic, but also gives us more time off. I get a month long break for Christmas, 3 and a half for summer, yadda yadda. =]

Alba Meria - September 20, 2006 06:16 PM (GMT)
Sounds good. My next holiday is in about two weeks.

Kieraline - September 20, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
Mmmm, school. I do not miss it one bit. Have fun!

Puppet Boy - September 20, 2006 07:32 PM (GMT)
I'm in college too. We start 2 or 3 weeks after those lesser people, and we have been at it for 3 or 4 weeks.

Sir Caius Lucius - September 21, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
Lesser People? Who the heck are the lesser people?

Hikari - September 21, 2006 08:44 AM (GMT)
UHHG...I've been in school for two months now...

Well, I hope your not crammed down too much!!

Obsidian Nocturne - September 23, 2006 02:04 PM (GMT)
baaaaaaaaahhh I ABSOLUTELY ENVY YOUR SCHEDULE!!!

Following a trimester for a program, we merely get to have two to three weeks at most for a Christmas break and only a month for summer!!! :'( Did I mention that we only get a week off in between terms too? :'(

Lothlómendil - September 23, 2006 03:47 PM (GMT)
It's not just my school, it's my country :p

Dengar - September 23, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
Awwww... *Pats loth*

Although I started school again 3 weeks ago :grr:

Rallika - September 25, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
That's no way to talk to Loth! *I hate school too*

ManOWar2 - September 25, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Man i just started school a week ago. I feel so lucky. And considering i only have maybe 5 hours of school a day i have alot of free time.

Zenith Meria - September 25, 2006 06:50 PM (GMT)
Thursday is my only easy day as i start at 1:30pm and finish at 4:00pm, so a nice long sleep.

Sidwell - September 25, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
The start of school, much like the winter to Man, is the decisive season where only the healthiest of RPGs may survive. A phenomenon different from midterms and finals, it has seem many a site fall defunct, beginning downward spirals of inactivity and stress. Because of its seedling origin, the effects stretch and carry through as a cancer.

Good luck, Arda. Good luck, PBP.

Obsidian Nocturne - September 25, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
lol thank God I had the chance to personalize my schedule-- probably the best part about college  4/7 days I'm on vacation aka.. I refused to schedule classes for both Monday and Friday :w00t: <_< I'm such a slacker.

Ah, yes, the annual slow down that comes when everyone returns to school. Sadly, I am long since out of school, so I just get to sit as a spectator to it. Unlike other sites that I've seen come to a crashing halt at school time, I've watched Arda pull through at least one school year. Here's to another!
