Title: Teaching, pm for invite but all are welcome :D

Samarin - September 18, 2006 11:06 AM (GMT)
Samarin shouldered his way through the crowd. In his hands he clutched several aged books, their covers bound in bark exept for one that was covered by a set of metal plates, his stave was tied to his back. He made his way through lomendor's main square. He shook his head. It was getting busy here. It used to be souly for trade now it was that and a tourist destination. He grimaced as a group of people from some backward town shuffled past. He hurried off and sighted the library. He was surposed to be teaching there today. He was not sure how many would turn up but it was something to keep him busy. All he knew was he would have atleast one pupil. Her name did ring a bell in some far off corner of his cluttered mind.

He reached the stairs that led up to the large oak doors of the library. He quickend his pace as he headed up. To the library. He Put his back to the door and pushed it, it swung open on well oiled hinges but the inside was nothing like the exterior. The outside was cleaned to with an inch of its metaphorical life. Here inside it was dusty and quite dirty. But it held some of the finest tomes of knowlage in the lands and that was what made it important. He looked around. He didnt know where the classes where even held. He walked up to several elderly scholars. "exuse me i dont surpose you know where the spell classes are held?" One man looked up and laughed. "want to learn eh young one? Well im sure one of us will teach you want you need to know. Head up to the left." He laughed heartly. He really did think Samarin was a student. Samarin grinned. "Im the teacher" He turned away and set off chuckling to himself.

He reached a small out of the way room. Yes it was the right one it had a small plaque on the door. It read "Class room 2, spells" He smiled. He went on inside. It was bare. Noting but two chairs. He shrugged. He placed his books on one and tapped his stave on the dusty floor and he waited for a pupil.

Avatar - September 18, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
avatar was walking down the streets of lomedor looking around at all the sights and sounds he entered a large hall "excuse me but what is this building ?" the old man looked at the man in the red suit and said "for a rich man you arnt very smart this is a libery" he said "theres a spell class happening in room two upstaris too the left" he addedas he turned away from a very puzzled avatar then as always when he had an disagrrement the eye spoke to him promising revenge and power

"you dont have too take that from him let me guid your hand and you can teach the old one some manners !" hissed the eye's spirit

"no,im not like that...." avatar thought

"the sooner you memory returns the better" it said

enraged by the eye he headed up the stairs to the spell class and knocked on the door "hello ?"

Samarin - September 18, 2006 04:29 PM (GMT)
Samarin looked up, some one had turned up after all. He rose from his wall that he was leaning againced. "Spell class? well your the first, come on in. He moved his books off the chair. "sorry its so bare in here but this is what they give me." he looked his new pupil up and down. He seemed to be a little rich but what was money anyway? It ment nothing to samarin that was for sure. He wondered how much his pupils would know. Samarin was a highly acomplished spell caster he knew and was sure that he could teach at least something to all but the greats. "well theres no sence in waiting now is there. Whats your name, whats your favoured school of magic and finaly how acomplished are you?"

It was a lot of questions he knew but he was not one for waiting around the sooner he could get started and this new commer could learn something, or so samarin hopped. In truth he did not know how well he would be able to teach but he was sure he could give it ago. Magic differed little from one school to the other. It was simply aplication of mana, or your own magaical energy. It was simply a case of harnasing it. some where better than others but as long as you were fairly confident magic was easy.

He passed his staff through his hands waiting. He smiled amiably. No sense in being mean.

((ok sorry for the short post. your posts seem to be good its just a case of putting in that last little bit of discription and their be great ^_^ ))

Shalura - September 18, 2006 09:35 PM (GMT)
Shalura didn't know what time it was, but she could tell that she was behind schedual, she was supposed to be at the library by now. She hated squeezing through crowds and she couldn't fly using her wings, due to the lack of room. The place didn't seem like it once was, there were alot of foreigners about. She squeezed through the ground apologising repeatadly for stepping on people's feet. Eventually she broke free of the ground and breathed heavily, the streets at this hour were like pebble roads, pakced together. She looked up and began walking towards the library, she'd never been there before and she had to ask directions several times. Eventually she was outside it, it looked so clean from the outside. She walked up to the door and opened it, inside was quiet and almost empty, she could have sneezed from the dust in here too. A pai of people were stadining nearby her, she still didn't know where she was supposed to be and hadn'd had much time to roganise. She walked up to them.
"Er hi, could you please tell me where do I go for the spell lessons?" She asked.
They looked over at her.

"Certainly young lady,"
one answered her.
He pointed her in the direction to Samarin's room.
"Thanks," Shalura said and hurried off.
She looked up at the door hoping she'd got the right one.
Class room 2, spells
"Got it," she sighed with releif.
She opened the door and walked in almost nervousley, inside was Samarin of course and another man wearing read and with long silvery hair.
"Er hi, I'm not late am I?" She said.

Samarin - September 20, 2006 10:47 AM (GMT)
"Welcome, dont worry your not late, just come on in and we can get underway cant we." He smiled. Two pupils, not bad. Should be ok to teach them after all if he had loads then he could not explain the finner points of magic could he? No two was just right. He thought about it a bit. If there was only two then there was no harm in letting them use his stave. Asuming they had any nature spells. It would be usefull to teach them how to use one properly. But he would have to wait and see how powerfull they where. He had seen Shalura once before. However he had not had the chance to guage her potential and the other he had never come across. It could be interesting.

"Ok then, Shalura i know you vaugly well but not you." He addressed the last one at Avatar. "If you would tell me your prefered school of magic and how powerfull you think you are we should be able to get a move on.. He had a great many spells so it should not be difficult teaching them how to use the ones they did. Although he did not have any chaos or mind magic spells. It could prove costly if they turned out to use it. But he would soldier on. He leaned back againced the wall waiting for a reply.

His staff he passed through his hands. "Oh and do either of you won a stave of have ever used one? If he was teaching something they already knew then he wasnt a very good teacher was he.

Shalura - September 20, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
"Ok then, Shalura i know you vaugly well but not you." he adressed her and the other man
"If you would tell me your prefered school of magic and how powerfull you think you are we should be able to get a move on."

"Well I do best with holy and light magic," Shalura said "I'm pretty good at it but I wouldn't mind learing something else."
She looked over at the other man in the room, something about him creeped her out. Never the less she walked camly into the room and sat down on the floor.

"Oh and do either of you won a stave of have ever used one?"
Samarin asked picking up his own.
Shalura though about the question for a moment.
"Not really," Shalura said "not one I use for casting magic anyway."

Avatar - September 20, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)

"Spell class? well your the first, come on in. Sorry its so bare in here but this is what they give me.""well theres no sence in waiting now is there. Whats your name, whats your favoured school of magic and finaly how acomplished are you?"

"psychic and lightning magic" Avatar replied "preferably anyway, and my name is Avatar, and I'm a beginner and no i have never seen a stave im afraid"

then the millenium eye spoke "idiot he means, akes him weeks to learn anything" then the young lady entered the room, she looked lightly nervous.
"Er hi, I'm not late am I?" she said.
Avatar turned his normal eye to focus on her.
"hello i dont think so but im not the teacher" he said the millenium eye still focused on saramin making his eyes face opposite directions.
"this is weird....." he said to the millenium eye you're weird it retorted to him

Samarin - September 20, 2006 07:28 PM (GMT)
"Well i know holy magic and i have some lightning spells as well and I surpose teaching you sharula to weild my black orchid. It will give you good practise with light magic. Now the only trouble is, i only have one mind magic spell. It is extreamly dangerus. I do not want to cast it here. So im afraid Avitar i can only teach you how to use your mana not do the spell with you."

He walked to the back of the room. He held his hands apart, brining one across his body he took the other one back. It began to glow a white light. Its white aura leaving a trail behind it. He moved it under his other arm. Forcing the magic from his fingers a ball of white energy spend across the room. It disapated when it hit wall on the other side. "ok sharula you give it ago. Im sure you know the spell.

Now he walked over to avitar. He handed him his stave "Ok try this. When casting nature spells this staff increases their power. I want you to imagin the staff is meerly an extention of your own arm. When casting the spell. Push the magic out as you would normaly but push it up wood insted. Just keep pushing it up the staff and it will do the rest. You can use me as a target. Ok cast what ever you.ve got.

He stood back and waited for Avitar to cast his spell.

Avatar - September 21, 2006 07:23 AM (GMT)
avatar held the stave rather wonkily blushing he said "uhhh okay."

hehe the eye began

"shadup" avatar mumbled to the eye as he prepred to cast his spell he carged the mana through him like lightning pushing hthe mana up his arm and through the stave to the top of the staff and out of the end the bolt of lightning spiled forth crackling as it flew forwards

Shalura - September 21, 2006 04:21 PM (GMT)
"Well i know holy magic and i have some lightning spells as well and I surpose teaching you sharula to weild my black orchid. It will give you good practise with light magic. Now the only trouble is, i only have one mind magic spell. It is extreamly dangerus. I do not want to cast it here. So im afraid Avitar i can only teach you how to use your mana not do the spell with you."
Shalura watched closely as Samarin walked to the back of the room and gestured with his hands casting some kind of light spell. He fired it at the back wall.
"ok sharula you give it ago. Im sure you know the spell."
he said.
Shalura nodded.
"Okay," she said.
She didn't like using her holy spell much because she lost control of it very easily so she decided to use her slightly weaker spell. She stood at the back of the room and raised her hand with the palm face up.

"Rats gnitoohs."
she muttered in a sloghtly echoey voice.
A ball of light formed above her palm and hovered there, she drew her arm back and put her palm horizontally and then pushed it forwards, the spell followed the oath of Samarin's and hit the back wall and vanished. Shalura looked over at Samarin who was instructing Avatar on using a stave, she stood by and watched Avatar cast his spell, it was a simple static spell and Shalura guessed Samarin knew what he was doing if he let Avatar fire at him.

Samarin - September 21, 2006 04:40 PM (GMT)
He watched as sharula cast her spell. It followed the same path and struck the wall. She was fairly good at her spells he had to admit. He wondered just how much he could teach them, although he was not sure what avatar knew. However he was about to find out.

As he turned back he watched the electrisity curl around the staff, finaly leaping forward. Seeking to meet a conection with samarins body. It did so. Running down his shoulder and earthing itself. Samarin didnt move when it hit. Now he rubbed life back into his arm. "Static shock, Its a usefull spell. Next time, call up the mana that lays deep with in you. As if casting the spell is your last chance. It will drain you but the more you cast like that the more your mana reserves will increase. Soon you will be able to cast spells with great power while still having plenty of energy left. Its grueling i know but it may save your life."

He turned and walk to Sharula. "I know it wasnt your full power holy spell so try it. You have nothing to lose. To keep it flying straight just keep your eyes on it. You can still comand it to its straight path if wavers. Just keep your eye on it and in your mind just keep telling it where it has to go ok? Good now try again He moved back to his possition infront of avatar.

"Ok now Avatar dont worry about hurting me just go for it, ok both of you try again. they where good pupiles it would not be long before they became powerfull mages and spell casters.

Shalura - September 21, 2006 05:15 PM (GMT)
Shalura watched Avatar's spell hit Samarin, not doing much damage but hitting all the same.

"Man, spells are harder than they seem,"
Shalura thought "and I thought it was just saying the right word at the right time."
She looked up at Samarin turned his attention to her.

"I know it wasnt your full power holy spell so try it. You have nothing to lose. To keep it flying straight just keep your eyes on it. You can still comand it to its straight path if wavers. Just keep your eye on it and in your mind just keep telling it where it has to go ok? Good now try again"

Shalura almost groaned, she had never been able to fully control her more powerful spells and half regretted ever learning them, every time she used them she ending up losing control and killing someone.
"Okay, I'll try." She said half heatadly.
She watched Samarin go back over to Avatar. If she followed his instructions then she may be able to keep control of it rather than taking out half the room. She raised her palm again taking a deep breath.

"Lyoh."
She said in that same echo.
A larger ball of light formed in her hand jittering with energy, Shalura wasn't keen on it as it tingled and made her lose focus but she drew her arm back all the same and pushed the spell outwards keeping her eyes on it all the time.
"C'mon, stay still. Please."

The spell wavered slightly in mid air trying to decide weather or not to follow her instructions. It still carried on going straight and hit the same spot slightly off target from the last one. Shalura sighed and leaned up against the wall, Holy really took it out of her and there was absolutely no way she was using it again. It wasn't her most powerful spell and she could barely control it.

((Man I'm getting better at this))
