Title: On my way home
Description: open
Tanya - September 1, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Tanya walked through the woods heading to Estolad. She hummed hapilly as she did. The sun was at High noon and she was hoping to get to Estolad soon enough, the journey had been long and she needed to get home soon. She was busily humming and found her way out of the Taurai Woods soon. She opened her arms and felt the suns rays on her skin finally and spun laughing that she was almost home, just the trek through the grasslands was the last thing she needed to do before she was able to see Estolad, adn her home. She stopped spinning and let herself fall to the ground watching the clouds spin around her. When they finally stopped she sat up and caught her breath, she felt weak all of the sudden and became light headded.
She took deep breaths which slowed her heart again to its normal rate, well, her normal rate. As a child her heartrate was always faster than the normal person's which was probably why she was always so active. She always had a hard time sitting still as a child and wanted to see the world, but deep inside she wanted to do something but never knew what. She got up and set her staff by her side when she heard a low growl. She turned, gggggnnnnnnnnnggggghhhhh she heard. She placed her staff in front of her, "Who...Who is there?" she said. Suddenly she heard another sound, grrraaaaaaaaahhhhhhhnnngg the long moans made her back up. Suddenly out of the trees two beings jumped and landed in front of her, they were hidious creatures and she went wide eyed, Orcs. "Get girl...EAT GIRL!" they said and she spun and ran as fast as her legs could carry her, "Please SOMEONE HELP!" she cried as she ran past trees and bushes the two orcs hot on her tail. She continued but tripped on a rock and fell. She turned as the two orcs lept towards her. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHH" she cried holding her hand out in front of her.
Shalura - September 1, 2006 07:38 PM (GMT)
Shalura leant against a tree with both her hands behind her head looking up. It was at times like this that she liked an oppentunity to relax and forget everything that was going on, trouble was her peace was nearly always interupted meaning she never got a break. She tried to forget the frequent things that kept happening to her and making her life worse than it was, as if it wasn't bad enough to start out with. She pushed herself up from the tree and walked through the wood humming to herself, for once she felt she'd finally got away but as always she'd thought to soon. There was a loud and very grumpy sounding growl, she stopped and looked about, she couldn't see anyone and the growl had been pretty faint. She shrugged and walked on, she stopped again at the sound of rapid footsteps. She looked up.
"Please SOMEONE HELP!"
This she couldn't ignore, she followed the sound to where it had come from, she just reached it in time to see a girl trip over persued by orcs.
"Oh brother" Shalura sighed "don't I ever get a break"
She drew her staff looking at them, there were certainly more of them than her and they looked miles stronger but were definatly slow and dumb. She looked up at them then down at the girl on the ground.
"You okay?" She asked kneeling down.
The orcs however startled by Shalura's sudden appearance had quickley recovered, Shalura looked up and felt a fist smack into her face knocking her backwards. She felt the impact spot for a second and got to her feet.
"Lyoh!"
A blast of holy energy flew from her palm catching the orcs off guard and knocking half of them out.
Tanya - September 2, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
Tanya felt for sure that she would be killed but suddenly a woman came out of nowhere and knelt by her, "You okay?" she had asked, Tanya nodded and pointed but it was too late, the woman caught a fist from one of the orcs. She fell back as they advanced. She got up and held out her hand, yloh she said as a blast of holy energy flew from her palm knocking the orcs back. Tanya looked from the orcs, motionless on the ground, to the woman who came out of nowhere not sure what to think. Woah, she is good. she thought.
Tanya felt her heart stop racing and realized that her hand had been shaking again. She took her staff and set it on the ground and using it as a holding pulled herself up from the ground. "Thank you. I would have been lunch if you did not show up. I am Tanya." she said thanking the woman and introducing herself. A small cling was heard as her right arm shook, the charms on her bracelete hit the staff making small chime sounds. After a few moments it stopped and she was back to what she knew as normal. "So what are you doing way out here? It's kind of strange that someone would be out here for no reason so you must have one." she said in her usual perky tone of voice. Now that the danger had passed she was her smiling self again.
Shalura - September 2, 2006 11:49 AM (GMT)
Shalura breathed a sigh of releif that the orcs were already down and out, spells that powerful were often difficult for her to control. She turned back to the girl they'd been persuing. She used her own staff to push herself up from the ground.
"Thank you. I would have been lunch if you did not show up. I am Tanya."
"Don't mention it" Shalura said "I do it all the time, my name's Shalura nice to meet you"
The girl seemed to be shaking slightly, obviousley the expierince had been a little much for her.
"So what are you doing way out here? It's kind of strange that someone would be out here for no reason so you must have one."
"Well just trying to get away mostly" Shalura said "trying to find some peace and quiet for a change, but you've probably guessed I never seem to get it though"
Tanya - September 3, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
"I do it all the time, my name's Shalura nice to meet you" Said the girl, Tanya smiled "Well just trying to get away mostly trying to find some peace and quiet for a change, but you've probably guessed I never seem to get it though" Tanya gave a slight chuckle and streached and put her hands behind her head, "Sorry, I didn't mean to I just did not see them comming," she appologised.
She turned and looked down the path, she still had a few hours travel left. She had an idea and turned to Shalura. "Hey you want to head to Estolad with me? It can be like a calm walk, I am sure you could get relaxed. We can even go to my house, my mom bakes the best cinnamon sugar rolls. What do you say?" she asked then turned to the path. "Besides, it must get lonely out all on your own." she said.
Shalura - September 4, 2006 07:48 AM (GMT)
"Sorry, I didn't mean to I just did not see them comming,"
"Everyone makes mistakes" Shalura shrugged.
Tanya turned and looked down the path, she then turned to Shalura.
"Hey you want to head to Estolad with me? It can be like a calm walk, I am sure you could get relaxed. We can even go to my house, my mom bakes the best cinnamon sugar rolls. What do you say? Besides, it must get lonely out all on your own."
Shalura didn't need another moment to think about it.
"Sure I'd love to" she said "you're right, it does get kinda lonely by myself"
Tanya - September 4, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
Tanya did not have to wait long for Shalura's reply. "Sure I'd love to you're right, it does get kinda lonely by myself" she said and Tanya's smile seemed even bigger. "Alright! LETS GO1" she said thrusting her fist in the air like a child. She then pointed in the direction of Estolad. "Come on Miss Shalura, Estolad is this way" she said pointing and began walking in that direction.
She spun her staff like a batton over her head with the hyper attitude of a child. She smiled and turned to Shalura motioning her to come on. "So Miss Shalura where do you come from?" she asked waiting for her to follow.
Shalura - September 5, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
"Alright! LETS GO!" Tanya said eagerly.
Salura smiled and went to follow her.
"Come on Miss Shalura, Estolad is this way"
Shalura walked along beside her as she span her staff over her head, alot of people who carried staffs were lie that including Shalura herself.
"So Miss Shalura where do you come from?"
Shalura frowned slightly and thought for a bit.
"To be honest I don't really know" she said "I was raised in a large city but that wasn't were I was born or anything like that"
When it came to conversations about her own past Shalura couldn't help wondering why it was like it was.
Tanya - September 19, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
Shalura followed Tanya and walked beside her. Tanya still had her big smile on while waiting for Shalura's answer. "To be honest I don't really know, I was raised in a large city but that wasn't were I was born or anything like that" Tanya's smile faded and she looked at the ground while they were walking. "Oh...That is disturbing..." she said in a low voice. To not know who you are or where you are from? What fear that must bring. To not be able to go home and see your parents? What a life she must have led. she thought. But the sadness did not last long for soon she perked up and turned to Shalura, "But you must go on a lot of amazing adventures trying to find the answers don't you. she said with a smile.
Shalura - September 19, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
"Oh...That is disturbing..." Tanya muttered in a low voice.
Shalura didn't like to make Tanya feel too sorry for her, it was almost like friendship through sympathy. She could tell Tanya was thinking but what she was thinking she had no idea, but now she actually came to it she wondered what a mother would be like; she'd never met her own (not counting an illusion in the misty forest) or anyone else's so meeting Tanya's would be a first expierience for her.
"But you must go on a lot of amazing adventures trying to find the answers don't you."
Shalura couldn't help showing a smile.
"Yeah," she said "too many for my liking though but I do make a lot of friends like that."
Tanya - September 23, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, too many for my liking though but I do make a lot of friends like that." Tanya smiled and giggled. "I like adventure. Places to go, things to see. Although there is that chance of danger it is still too fun not to do." she said.
Her white pigtails bobbed up and down as she walked. She gave a smile to Shalura as she smiled. "You have a very pretty smile Shalura. But friends are good to have. They help you keep going when you cant go on your own. When I was a small child I never had many friends. I was always in bed, I could never play." she said.
Shalura - September 23, 2006 07:27 PM (GMT)
Shalura heard Tanya giggle beside her.
"I like adventure. Places to go, things to see. Although there is that chance of danger it is still too fun not to do."
"Yeah, I suppose so," Shalura said "but I don't really ask for them, they just happen."
"You have a very pretty smile Shalura. But friends are good to have. They help you keep going when you cant go on your own. When I was a small child I never had many friends. I was always in bed, I could never play."
Shalura looked inquzitavly over at Tanya.
"Why?" She asked "ere you sick or something?"
