Rest. That what Myst needed. It had been a hard day for her. Myst was busy study about Balence all night. It was of course what she needed to do. She wanted peace. She had found the lake wandering. Myst walked up to the lake holding a cup. She desperatly needed some water. It was a lovely day. The sky was blue, the lake was pure.
Perfect
As she sipped some water she was happy. Myst had been on her feet all day. As she had the skill to disguise currently she was wearing peasent clothes so no one would no who she was. Myst remembbered to take a chance with life. Disguice as nessecary. That;s what she did. Getting up to wash the cup she heard noises. Noises that didn't sound like anything familiar. What was the noise? Was it a war? Or was it something else? Something mysterious....
It was the day after Wolfang's raid on the Temple of Balance. After he had killed all the priests at dusk, just as Ita had ordered him, he had rode practically all night, trying to get as far away as possible from the scene of the crime. Today, he woke up later than usual. Both his strong war horse and himself were well rested now, but they were both quite thirsty from the exertions of the previous day. As he stood up and stretched, he noticed that his surroundings were pretty familiar. He knew that he wasn't far from Lake Aelin now.
He mounted his steed, and at a comfortable trot, rode for about twenty minutes to reach the lake. Judging from the position of the sun, it was noon and the hot sun was making Wolfang even more thirsty and quite irritable as he was more used to the colder climates. He dismounted from his horse when he was quite near the edge of the water, and was just about to tell a peasant woman off, when he realized how pointless it would be as there was enough space for him, his horse, and her.
As his horse bent down to drink, so did he, submerging his whole head beneath the surface of the cool, clear water. When he had drunk his fill of water, he pulled his head out, sighing contentedly, and dripping a lot of water all over his clothes. He didn't mind though. The day was hot, and he still had about a day's travelling ahead of him. He collapsed on the crisp, green grass and was determined to rest for a while, when he noticed that the peasant woman from before was still there. Now he understood why she looked at him so oddly when he first arrived at the lake. It was because he hadn't bothered to change his blood-splattered clothes fom the day before.
"Well, what are you looking at, peasant?" he asked irritably.
(OCC: Sorry for the late responce)
Myst began opening her food pack. It contained just the amount of food she needed, an apple. Washing the apple she shudderded hearing the noise of galloping. It was a horse, with a man in the distance.Normal but just a shadow Thinking it was just a stray, Myst ignored it. She could still she the figure of a man. Messing her hair to look poor she could see that the shadow was coming.
What does he want from me?
Still staring she watched as the man came closer. Myst wasn't spying. She was as you say it...looking. As the man got off his off his horse to wash the blood of his face, she saw him staring at her. Hiding any aspect of a half-angel, she stared at the ground. Myst was already "half-dead". She didn't want to be an angel. A half-angel was just as good. As she began to hear the man talk she listened closely:
"Well, what are you looking at, peasant?"
As Myst looked closely at the man she could notice fades of blood on his shirt. Sighing deeply she knew she would have to come up with something.
"I'm just looking is that a crime, sir?" she asked quietly adding "What a peasant does is a peasent's buisness. I have just come for water."
"A peasant, huh, and just coming for water as well?" Wolfang asked, trying to get her story straight. "Then what village are you from then?" he asked. He was pretty sure that he had caught her in a lie. He knew the lands around Lake Aelin well, and there cerainly wasn't a village nearby. Perhaps she was a run-away, in that case, he might tie her up and return her to the landlord, perhaps he'd get a nice reward as well.
