Title: Before the Long Journey...
Description: Open, please engage
Hlormar Wolfang - August 19, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
Wolfang sat at the bar of the Kaima Inn, resting before he was to start on his long journey. He had very little money, but he managed to buy himself a drink of mead anyway. If he got hungry he could always go and hunt in the forest after all. He shifted around in his seat a bit, and straightened out his cloak, also checking on the sword strapped to his back as well.
There was a burning desire in him to leave now, but an even greater desire held him back. He wanted traveling companions. He really did not want to undergo a long and ardous journey all by his lonesome self. He turned his head and looked around the bar, unfortuneatly there weren't many adventuring types around. He sighed and took another sip of mead. He'd sit there and wait all day if need be, all he knew was that he was not going to be alone again. The plus side to traveling with a companion or two was that if one or both of them somehow died, he could loot their corpses. Although he was a murderer and a high way man to boot, he had an honorable side too, and he hadn't turned to his old business in quite a while. He still didn't intend too now. Only if the opportunity was too great to resist...
Cheshire Bingham - August 20, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
Chesire bingham walked into the bar, about the size of a housecat. His fur was a strange shade of bblue and green, with red stripes, and his eyes were purple. Ignoring the strange stares that he was getting, he walked over to the bar, next to a man who seemed to be getting ready to go somewhere. Chesire Bingham said to the Bartender, "How about a nice, big ale, barkeep?" Chesire bingham then placed a few coins on the bar. The bartender stared on in amazement, but quickly brought the strange creature his ale. Chesire bingham took a big drink of his ale, and then said "Man, I really need something to do besides drink. Oh well. I suppose the Ale is good enough."

Wolfang stared in amazement at the strange creature. Not only did it have the most odd colored fur he had ever seen on a creature, but it also spoke as well. An unusual occurence, but still Wolfang had seen more peculiar things in his lifetime. He decided to engage the creature in conversation, interested in what beings like it did.
"Something to do, eh? I suppose I could give you something to do, if you want to, of course," he said to the creature. Then he leaned in a little closer to it and said, "I could tell you a secret too, if you say yes to my little job."
Cheshire Bingham - August 20, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
Cheshire Bingham swished his taail, and smiled evilly. "Ooh, secrets have we? Well, I suppose a job is quite a job to complete, so I must completely reject the idea of rejection, for your idea is one that appeals to me." As Cheshire Bingham was speaking, he suddenly disappeared, and reappeared on Wolfang's other side. "So tell me, good sir, what is it you wish to do? Even if we don't have a plan, any road will lead somewhere if somwhere is where you want to get to." Cheshire Bingham then faded, disappearing, first his body, then his eyes and smile. He reappeared on Wolfang's head. Looking down at Wolfang, he grinned, waiting for an answer.

"That right there is a mighty fine trick," Wolfang commented the creature upon his teleporting skills. "Might come in useful," he added with a smirk as the devilish little creature appeared upon his head. "Well, you see, I want you come traveling with me. You seem like the mischevious sort. Just between you and me, do you like attacking caravans, killing everyone and making off with the loot? Or maybe just attacking and killing random travelers, then looting their pitiful corpses?" he asked him in a very calm manner, almost as if he was talking about the weather. Howeverm, Wolfang wasn't dumb. He made sure to keep his voice down, so as not to draw any unwanted attention upon himself.

[OOC: :o pretty colors :o]
As Cheshire Bingham listened to the man's propsition, his grin turned to a evil, sadistic smile. Hopping off of Wolfang's head, he said, as he curled his tail, "Oh, come now, my dear. Malice suits so few. However, I find it goes with my fine coat perfectly. The cheshire is beside you, yet I am nowhere. So, if you can find me, by finding that which is nothing, you can find that which is nowhere, to accompany you to somewhere. What do you think, my dear?" Having said all of this, Cheshire bingham merely sat on the table, staring with his big, evil smile unblinkingly. He was ready to have some fun.

"I think you should speak more plainly. Now I know your talents could come in quite handy, and I'd want them on my side, but I'm not one to beg. I can make it worth your while if chaos and malice alone aren't enough. You're always welcome to a cut of the dough, if you want," he replied plainly. He honestly hoped he'd get a plain reply back. He didn't like it when people beat around the bush like this creature was.
It's a yes or no question, dammit. How hard is that?

(( >_< Wrong account, this is Cheshire Bingham, btw))
Cheshire Bingham mocked a sigh. "Deary me, what is this world come to? People don't even wish to engage in freindly conversation. It's discombobulating, really." He then dissappeared, and reappeared on the stool where he originally sat. He shished his tail, and took another sip of his ale. "I suppose that we must hurry along the beaten path, then? Well, I suppose that the Cheshire will accompany you for a time." With that, Cheshire Bingham swigged down the resto f his ale, and hopped down from his stool, before dissappearing again. He reappeared on top of Wolfang's head, casually lying down. Checking on of his claws, he said seemingly absent-mindedly, "So... Where is this place to which you plan on making your way? I figured I'd clear out the basics while we're here. After all, if you don't know where you're going, and you simply want to get somewhere, any road will take you somewhere. So where is this somewhere of which you speak?"
Hlormar Wolfang - August 22, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)
"It is somewhere, and anywhere. You are correct indeed when you say that any road will take one somewhere. For even I don't know where I'm going. I suppose we could make the Sanctuary of Angels our destination, but it is the journey that's important, not the destination. Understand?" he asked. At that he realized he had been talking too much, and not drinking enough. He picked up his mug of mead and took two, quick, large gulps from it. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve, rather crudely, and in typical barbarian fashion.
"Any other basics you'd like to know about as well?"
I can feel it. I'm going to be rich at the end of this journey!
