Title: Footsteps of a Demon
Description: [P] Hollyander and Tejsab

Tejsab - August 17, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)
Hmph. He's late. Tejsab snorted and rested his head on his two bulky forepaws. While he scanned the immediate area it became clear to him how deep in the rainforest he was. No civilization in sight, only miles upon miles of closely packed jungle trees, grasses, and other plants. It seemed like everything was a shade of green or brown. The foliage around the dire tiger, although some crushed under his weight, managed to effectively conceal most of his body despite his immense size. The demon moves with great speed through the forest, but I must be idle while I wait for Hollyander to navigate to our meeting spot? Tejsab blinked and looked up at the large tree he lay by. Boulders formed a circle around the trunk's base. Pulling his body to a standing position the dire tiger narrowed his eyes and scanned the forest with greater concentration. Maybe, just maybe, the demon will pass by...

There was a rustle in the leaves, followed by the movement of a shadow. Tejsab's tail whipped back and forth and his coal black claws burst from his paws. With one powerful push from his hind legs, he was up in the air and ready to pounce on his unsuspecting victim. Dust rose from both the tiger's struggle to pin his prey down and his prey's struggle to get away. A loud squeal came from the demon when the dire tiger finally managed to pin it to the rainforest floor. "Your days are over, vile hellspawn!" Tejsab growled in an inhumanely low pitch. His very voice shook the ground. But when the dust settled, the culprit appeared to be no demon, but just a large black boar. It squirmed and jerked until Tejsab let it free. After a long, depressed sigh, he rose from his pinning position and padded back to the meeting tree.

Something brushed against Tejsab's back. An arrow, tipped with a black arrowhead glowing with shadowey power, dug itself into the tree, narrowly missing him.

Hollyander - August 22, 2006 12:50 AM (GMT)
Hollyander walked at his normal, slow pace, seeming in a half asleep daze. He never really was alive until he was neck deep in Evil, hacking it with his sword that was well named as 'Redemption'. It never brought salvation, unlike what some holy blades were supposed to do. His was only delegated to killing those that were already hell bound. He suddenly perked up, and unslung the blade from his back. His soft green eyes scanned the surrounding wilderness, as the sounds of a struggle, and Tejsab, met his ears. His pace increased to a mild jog, and he found himself, yet again, observing Tejsab, a bloody meal, and he sighed.

"I thought you were in trouble, Tejsab." Hollyander muttered. His friend's powerful body, enough to smash a tree to the ground in a pounce, had claimed yet another innocent forest creature. But it was to be expected he was a dire tiger after all. Then his eyes lit upon the black arrow.

"Or maybe I was incorrect. A demon archer? I wish I had one of those famed Walls of Might right now, if not for it being a sacriligious device created by the Chaos Goddess herself! Eternal damnation on her soul!" Hollyander declared. He was having yet another one of his legendary 'Lothlomendil is the only true god' based talks. He continued on a little bit more, as an arrow whisked by his head. A slight amount of blood trickled from it, and a slender slice along his cheek dripped more of the holy substance.

"Behind us." He stated. His long, beautiful blond hair of salvation(+3) flicked around as he observed the forest. A rapid movement through the trees away from them allowed his quick eyes to latch onto the eternally damned creature's route of escape. Cowards, they all were. With that, the knight dashed to Tejsab, and without waiting for confirmation, mounted the great beast. He slung his sword back into it's oversized sheathe, and he gave a nod.

"Let's kill this demon and let it be known, Hollyander and Tejsab have triumphed again, in the name of Lothlomendil, may her name be eternally hallowed!"
