Title: Fighting the Heat
Description: or not.

Cyrus - August 12, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
Cyrus flew gently over Arda’s light blue skies, the void, an enchanting and graceful place where all air born creatures bloomed and glistened across the bright sun’s glory. The light was intense, but quite beautiful, and the cool breezes that blew in from the south were comforting, and quite enjoyable.

Cyrus soon came to the realization that while this place was quite beautiful, he had a job to carry out, a quest, an adventure, a journey of untold dangers and mysteries which arched over his destiny. To what ends it would take him to, didn’t quite mattered, as he was far from figuring it out.

But his quest would be met with help, whether the bystanders and obstacles realized it or not, they would prove their usefulness to Cyrus, and all under the mystical eye of his lost memories. The key to the hidden door, the key to the locked door, were one in the same.

But they each required one similar thing; a key. What form this key would take however, was as unknown to the gods, as it was to Cyrus, and everyone else seeking their personal fortunes across Arda’s vast landscapes. But Cyrus had hope, perhaps little, but enough to keep him pressing forward, until his mysteries were answered, and the key, found.

As these thoughts bewildered Cyrus’s mind, his ties to existence kicked in fully, and perhaps a bit too late. The once valiant breeze that cooled the sun’s blaze, faintly disappeared. And the sun, as if it had plotted itself, became scorching hot. The clouds, seemingly vanished as well, and all that was left was the harsh reality of heat.

Cyrus felt the sweat drip down from his hairline onto his brow, then further on down, until it rolled right off of his face. It increased, small drips blurring his vision, until the only option that remained, to escape this heat, was to find shelter.

As Cyrus neared the ground below him, the sand that littered the area became increasingly bright, as the sun’s glare seemed to magnify the ground upon touching it. Cyrus’s feet, after touching the desert’s ground work, felt the burn of the course sand slowly roast his tender feet, and forced him to move for fear of melting the skin.

Indeed, he was not in the most pleasurable locations any longer.

Zerozaki - August 15, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Zerozaki walked through the arid landscape. Left foot, the right foot. It had been the same pattern for nearly two days, and Zero was beginning to show signs of insanity. He carried enough food and water to make it across the desert, but apparently not enough mental preparation. The mirages were getting more and more believable. It seemed that with every step, he inched his way a little closer to a foreboding mental breakdown. It was too much to bear.

His eyes beheld an angel touching down on the ground some 40 yards in front of him. Now now, I've seen that before, mind. Try something fresh. The angel danced around on the hot sand a bit, every action was as realistic as the sun was hot. Now I've done it. I'm completely mad. He picked up a partially eroded stone and chucked it at the mirage. "Get outta my head!"

Kiesu Shiinto - July 9, 2007 09:34 PM (GMT)
As Kiesu and Drenkar trekked through the desert they saw an angel flying overhead. "Could be trouble. Let's go the other way..." Kiesu looked at the vastness of the desert that they had gone through "... On the other hand, let's keep going this way. Maybe We won't run into that, possibly dangerous, angel." He chuckled a bit as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead and continued forward.

Drenkar - July 9, 2007 09:55 PM (GMT)
Drenkar sat in the sand for a moment and took his boot off." I told you we went the wrong way." Drenkar said as he poured the sand out of his boot."We need water soon or we mite die." He stood back up and began following Kiesu to their next destination

Kiesu Shiinto - July 9, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
"Well we did just see an angel flying overhead so he might have some. Or we can get attacked by bandits, that way we get fun, food, water, and shade!" Kiesu said as he climbed to the top of a dune. In the distance he could see the angel. "There he is!" Kiesu said as he sat on the dune. "Besides, you can't fully blame me since you didn't have any suggestions."

Black Rose - July 30, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
The was hot as hell.....the most thing she hated. But who could know the portal will throw her into a DAMNED desert. She fell from a portal hitting the sandy ground hard and the portal closed up. Done..there she is.....alone.....hungry....thirsty......and so damned angry at those fools who forced her into this desert.....She slowly struggled onto her feet and carefully dusted her self off. Black Rose was wearing her usual green clothings.....an italian beautyfuly designed mask covering her beautyful face......."Where the hell....i am at...?" she mumbled.

Her eyes were deep black. That they all could see clearly from under her mask. But they were blind as well...physically....she looked around....senced the wind....senced the heat.....and a deadly silence that was ruined by some strangers.....she could hear the angel in the sky....the sounds of his wing's......the sounds as he landed.....she could hear Kiesu mumble.....and others as well....Trusting on her all 5 high sences, Black Rose strolled across the desert not bumping into anyone..she missed them just perfectly....and payed no a heed to them actually.
