Yumi - August 10, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
A small skinning figure slowly treaded the lightly wooded area, full of brownish red colors from leaves, and brown grass. The figure was a small skinny girl, who was named Yumi, and had an interesting personality. For numbers of times, she would make friends and an instant, and be so unaware of this special talent. She could stop verbal fights with no more then a small smile, well, that may be stretching it a bit. Her black eyes looked down at the ground, viewing small creatures like hedgehogs wonder around. The eyes were marvels in themselves for being such an unique color, which was so rare. Surely the eyes came from the angelic side of her blood, no normal human bore such eyes.

The smell from the redwoods filled her lungs as she took a long cleaning breath, the air was so pure, pleasant, and peaceful. Today she wanted to enjoy the Goddess Liara’s beautiful lands of nature. Although, Yumi was confused at who made nature, was it the creator of all things, The Goddess of Life, or was it the nature goddess? But whoever did, they had great talent, and such imagination in their minds.

With her staff in her left hand, Yumi used it to support herself, these days she could never be careful about walking into animal traps. And she was sad to admit it, but a lot of times people did hunt other things. Either for food, clothes, protection or just plain fun of it. The latter Yumi couldn’t stand very well. Finally, the small girl stopped and sat on the thick grass against a tree, letting out a small yawn. Yumi had to prepare herself to go into town, and shouldn’t rest, but sleep was nipping at her heels. I wont allow myself to sleep, Yumi thought as she herd birds chirping above her. It was only in the afternoon, there was no reason for her to be so sleepy, so soon.

But in the end, sleep to a toll, and Yumi lopped her head to her left side. Her mouth was slightly parted, and her eyes were closed as her mind began to drift into the dream like world.

Arelia - August 10, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
Arelia walked quietly through the forest occasionally glancing around. She had to stop every so often or she would run into some animal who was playing with another. She looked closely at the leaf of one of the trees. "Redwood" she said. She had not seen very many trees besides evergreens and pines, those trees who could withstand the cold of the ered anon mountians. She had lived among the samurai in one of the valleys among the mountians. There were few trees there but in the spring the snow melted a little to reveal the grass underneath. She gave a smile remembering her childhood on the lands of the dojo, learning and meditating...And sitting out in the cold weather on the snow because of her temper.

She continued on enjoing the moment. Soon she turned a bend and saw someone lying aganst a tree facing away from her. She slowly walked up to the person. It was a girl about the age of seventeen. She placed her right hand on her samurai sword not sure if the girl was alright. Slowly creeping towards the girl she stopped and stood over her and gave a small sigh. The girl was not hurt only sleeping. She smiled watching her for a moment and stepped around her. She turned and knelt down taking out her sketchpad and quill and smiled. She began to draw the girl lying there. This moment was something that she could not let slip away...a young girl sleeping in this tranquil place was too much to let go.

“Yumi don’t slouch so much.” A masculine voice said to Yumi in a dreamy aura, as a smaller Yumi was sitting at a desk. The room was small and made out of bricks, although it was a dream, the smell of burnt wood was very strong. In front of the dream Yumi, was a piece of paper that had small words written in them, and someone in front of her was scolding her. I remember this, Yumi thought to herself in her sleep as she continued to watch. As the scene darkened its dream-like colors, dark figures began to get into play. They brust though the windows, in an instant Yumi cowered under her desk, as the dream-like scene twisted and then dissappered. Those bandits, Yumi thought to herself, as a small headach began to poke her head to awake.

My father would want me on the path I’ve taken, Yumi thought as her black eyes started to flutter open. “To follow the way of the Keepers,” Yumi said with an awakening yawn and sleepish voice as she light stretched. She had no idea how long she was asleep, but she heard some sort of strange noise. Looking over her left shoulder, she saw a young woman kneeling near her, doing something. The girl couldn’t really understand but what she was doing, so words were a miss to her. Bitting her lower lip, she tried to be friendly, “Hello, my name is Yumi, and you are?” Her voice was soft, almost to the innocent voice of a child. But there were hints of righteous strength inside.

“To follow the way of the Keepers,” the girl had said although Arelia took no notice. The girl looked over at her just as she had finished it. “Hello, my name is Yumi, and you are?” the girl asked. Arelia looked up and blushed. She had been caught drawing the girl. Arelia gave an embarased smile. She set her pad and pencil down and got on her knees and gave a bow to the girl. "I am Arelia. I appologise if I awakened you. I just could not help drawing you." she said. She got up and took the page and showed it to the girl. It was an almost exact replica of how she was sleeping, although to Arelia the picture was never as good as the real thing.

She looked at Yumi and gave a smile. She really did not understand why a girl of her age would be out here alone. But then again some people just liked trainquility of forests or just loved nature. She wondered if this girl was like that. "If you do not mind my asking Miss Yumi why are you out here alone?" she asked. Arelia was calm in this setting and by looking into Yumi's eyes she could tell that the girl meant her no harm at the moment and they could talk peacefully.

Yumi slightly blushed when the woman said she was drawing her, a feat that no one ever did before, and it seemed rather interesting. When she showed Yumi the picture, whatever sleepiness in her brain disappeared, and her eyes lit up. The picture looked so much like her, it was amazing, yet she never knew what she looked like when she slept. A part of her couldn’t believe that she was the sweet innocent girl in the picture, but it was. “Thank you,” Yumi quietly said as she kept her eyes on the picture.

Yumi sat holding her knees when the woman asked her a question; why was she out her alone? Well, Yumi wasn’t quiet sure how to say it, but most of the time she stayed alone, only a few times have she not been alone. And some angelic law states a child may wander on its own at a young age, she what did it matter if she was only half angel? “It is always been this way, and I’m not alone, I have my father in my heart. Goddesses and mother up above, and my friends near me at all times.” Yumi looked around, she didn’t see any keepers near by, but that was alright, she still had her faith that she could take care of herself, or others could take care of her. “You are a really good artist Arelia.” Yumi smiled at the woman in a warming look.

“It is always been this way, and I’m not alone, I have my father in my heart. Goddesses and mother up above, and my friends near me at all times.” She replied to her question. Arelia smiled and looked up. "I never thought about that. I guess its true no matter what you are never alone. We samurai are always travleing by ourselves but we know we can call eachother for help. I often go back to the dojo for visits." she said returning the smile, "No matter where you are someone will always look out for you."

She blushed a little when the girl complimented her drawing, she gave a small laugh. "Thanks, I always had a knack for drawing. It calmed me down as a child. That and sitting in the snow. I had quite the temper." she said laughing at her childhood expierences. She would get so upset that the teachers would tell her to sit down in the snow for a few minuets. The cold seemed to calm her down, which is why she loved the mountians. "So where are you headding Miss Yumi or are you just sitting and enjoying the senery? she asked.

Yumi - August 11, 2006 06:57 PM (GMT)
“Well I’m kinda enjoying it here as well as going somewhere,” Yumi lightly chuckle at this, “See I’m not sure where I’m going, but it feels right, you know?” Yumi asked kindly as she stood up to brush herself off. She brushed some loose strands of hair from her eyes, and looked outwards to the horizons. The glinting colors of the last sight of the sun was fading away fast. “So where are you headed off to?” The girl asked with a smile, she seemed to be happy today, more happy then usually. And perhaps it was because she made a friend, or at least she thought she did anyway.

((Sooo sorry for the shortness!))

Arelia returned the girls smile, “Well I’m kinda enjoying it here as well as going somewhere, See I’m not sure where I’m going, but it feels right, you know?” she replied. Arelia nodded. "I know how that is, as the saying goes; "Always stop to smell the roses. But yes I do. I usually go, how is it. Where the wind takes me?" she said. Tje sun was fading on the horizion, the sky went from blue to different colors and hues. “So where are you headed off to?” the girl asked with a smile.

"No where really, just wandering seeing what I can find. If it is alright with you, might I tag along for a while?" she asked. It was rare that arelia had company and seeing how they were both alone for the moment it only seemed like a good idea. Especially since the sun was setting and who knew what were in the woods. She gave a streach, her arms tired from staying put too long. She gave the girl a smile. She seemed to have made a fast friend.

Yumi - August 12, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
Yumi smiled, as she used her right pale hand to burh her hair back. “Sure you can come with me.” The girl said as she started to walk towards the sun. Yumi gave another small yawn as she kept walking slowly. A few times she looked back over her shoulder to see if she was following. But most of the time she kept her head forwards and made her way towards the horizon.

((sorry for the shortness my brain is dead))

OOC: its alright

IC: Arelia nodded at the girls comment. “Sure you can come with me.” she said. Yumi gave a yawn and started walking. Every so often she would turn to see if Arelia was keeping up but when she did she smiled. She looked around as the sun began to set. She gave a smile as she saw mother birds take care of their young. She thought about her life at the dojo and wondered what people like Kutai and Arusha was doing at that moment. Arusha was probably meditating in the sunset and Kutia knowing him was training for their next encounter.

Kutai was always her rival, well not really a rival, more like a trainer. He was five years older and always pushing her to raise her limits and because of that he helped her become stronger. He always fought her on their encounters to see how much she had grown. "Kutai. I await our next battle." she said without realizing she said it out loud. Her eyes were busy looking at the mountians in the distance, wondering what Kutai would do on their next encounter.
