Title: More training
Description: -Alzon-

The Eastern Coast...the blue fox-boy generally didn't much like somewhat large bodies of water, but he was here anyway, primarily for the privacy it entitled. Not many people came around here without a particular purpose, and even then it wasn't particularly common, meaning it would be perfect for him to do what he needed to do, and maybe start on something different, turning an old weakness into a strength if at all possible.

Standing at the edge of the waves and taking a breath to calm himself down, he held his right hand out to his side, beginning to spin it around lightly and cause the wind to swirl and pick up in a short radius around it, to the point where it became a small whirlwind. Then he brought his hand down as if slashing downward, almost instantly creating a larger version of the whirlwind while dissipating the current one, forming it directly over the water spiraling downward, getting steadily closer to it. If this worked...but he had to focus well enough, or he'd mess it up. It wasn't exactly controlling water in the truest sense, but he hoped at least to be able to manipulate it with the air.

Damp and alone in the world, sat a wet clothed demon named Alzon. The cool morning air was torment against the wetness. Thankfully, the rock he was sitting on was warm, warm from the morning sun’s rays. Alzon swam from his old guild, unknowing where to go, or where he would be going. Who knows what dangers lurk for him, I guess I’m on my own for now, Alzon thought as he stood up and shook like a dog to get dry. His red hair matted against his skull like a leather cursed cap, which no matter how much anyone pulled, no one could get off. But the least he could do was pull it behind his ears, out of his eyes.

Suddenly a whistle of strong winds blew against the valley of rocks, the sand began to come at Alzon’s face, attempting to blind him. Instantly, he shield his eyes out of instant, but that wouldn’t help too much. Sorely, thick sand went past his arms and hands, attacking his closed eyes. Although his eyes were protected, his nose inhaled at the wrong time, thus a freeing like sandpaper went up his nose. Alzon snorted out the wet sand, unable to recognize what this power is. Wiping his face, he started to sprint towards to sound of wind, and saw something unbelievable. A fox? He thought as suddenly the fox seemed so familiar.

His ears perking up, catching the sound of running even through the sound of the wind beginning to alter the waves in the water below it, Kai looked over in curiosity, holding his right hand out toward the whirlwind to keep it stable, which had been becoming harder the closer he directed it to the water.

Whoever this person was, they were covered in sand around their wet clothes, at least the latter of which might've been his fault. Feeling that now that someone was here this might not be a good time for him to be able to concentrate, he flicked his fingers on his right hand out lightly, causing the whirlwind to slowly die down until it was but a breeze carried on the rest of the uncontrolled sea-borne winds.

Now able to focus fully on the person before him, however, he found there was something...familiar about them, as if they'd met once before. Then he realized that they had, in the first attack on the Syndicate. "I remember you...you're the one that had come with Tithdaeron in the first attack on the Syndicate of Blades," he said, without a single threatening or angry tone in his voice or face. They were all wet...now that he thought about it, they'd probably thus come from the Templar castle, across the waters of the coast.

Alzon squinted against the ray of light beaming for the morning sun. He held his hand up in front of his face for protection some, although no luck was found. He could barely see the fox boy only if he looked to the right, away from the light as possible. From the boy’s tone, he didn’t seem angry, unless he was hiding it. Attack the Syndicate, that was so long ago, Alzon thought to himself in a drifting voice. That is when this curse happened, the demon criped on his right arm, th bandages were lost in the sea.

“Ah yes, your that spunky fox boy right?” Alzon spoke in a hissing accent, but he did his best not to sound threating either. The demon was doing everything in his power not to attack, but then he found he didn’t have to hold himself back. He lost his own spunk from being bed ridden for months. The demon turned his back to the fox, and sat down on the wet sand, holding back shivering. Although the goose bumps along his arms were quiet noticable.

I’m so pathetic, Alzon thought with a sigh as he turned his head towards Kai, the first person to actually say something in a long while to him. Before he could do anything about it, the weakness form swimming one handed got to him. His eyes rolled behind his head, instantly making him lay on the ground, passed out.

“Ah yes, your that spunky fox boy right?” the man said, in a hissing voice, so far showing no signs of a threat or anything. Spunky? That was a new one, though Kai supposed that it was still a fairly accurate way of describing him. Then Kai began to notice that the man wasn't completely well, particularly from apparently swimming all the way back to the coast from the island that the Templar castle was situated on, and in a short time he plain passed out.

"Hm...it's times like this that the fact that I stick heavily to honor really begins to show..." Kai said quietly, chuckling to himself. Were he a more cruel person, or for that matter a cruel person at all, he might at the very least make an attempt to kill this one who'd been revealed to be an enemy. But that would be too easy, and there must've been a reason for them to have swum all this way and struggled so greatly.

Another short while later, Kai was sitting down about seven feet from the boy's collapsed figure, a red, warm fire burning brightly between them, kept alive not by any wood or kindling but by Kai's own powers, those that he was born with. How this boy would react when he woke up would be up to him, but he was still trying to help nonetheless, enemy or not.

An intense pain all over his body leached though his veins like hundred needles attacking the pressure points. Alzon scrunched his face in pain, but didn’t let any sound out. The demon rolled back onto his belly, reviling the pressure of his weight on the right arm. Out of instinct, he grabbed his right arm, and clenched on. More pain was overloading so the pain he could stop would feel much better. After a few seconds he opened his eyes halfway, and took his left arm off of his right. Flickers of light spots were in his eyes, and her felt the pressure of his eyes rolling in the back of his head. But quickly he shook his head, then turn his head towards to flickering light. A fire was near, but t wasn’t anything ordinary, it was floating just above the ground without any help of wood. The fire reminded him of Tithdaeron for some strange reason. Who made the fire? Alzon thought to himself as he looked with his head, rubbing his cheek raw on the rough sand.

Fox boy?! Alzon thought as his eyes widen. He wondered why he was still here, maybe it was because Alzon was too weak to fight. And Kai was trying to get his strength back so then he would kill him. Why else wouldn’t he already kill him at this level of weakness. And the demon never asked for his help anyway. No one ever helped him, so it must that reason! Being a chaotic being, he quickly reached with his left hand, and threw a knife at Kai. But his weakened state made the knife drop on the ground, just three feet away from Kai. The demon clenched his teeth, causing to himself. Now Kai would kill him for sure, and he missed his chance to kill the fox. But what did life matter? A weak thing like me doesn’t even deserve to live, “so finish it!”

((I’m not really giving you permission to kill my charry, he is just a bit loco right now XD ))

(don't worry, Kai wouldn't kill him anyway without a good reason)

Looking over in mild surprise and curiosity, Kai noticed the man begin to stir again, rolling onto his chest and clutching at one of his arms, which was probably damaged or diseased or something of the like, from the look of things. Unfortunately, he had no specialty in quelling either of those things, so there wasn't exactly anything he could do for the boy other than watch.

Then he noticed the boy reach for something with his left hand, a knife that he quickly threw at Kai, who didn't react, seeing from the amount of strength put into it and the haste in which it was thrown that it wouldn't so much as reach him.

“So finish it!” the boy shouted out, and Kai raised a brow in curiosity. It seemed that he was still thought of purely as an enemy, and thus his effort in the fire was probably blown out of proportion in the opposite of what it was intended for.

"Why? Are you just eager to die?" Kai simply asked, showing only hints of curiosity and perhaps some sympathy in his voice and face, having not moved during this whole ordeal.

Alzon turn his head away from the fox, shift his gaze to the blue white puffy spotted sky above. Suddenly his cheek fell on the ground, facing Kai once more just as he finished with his question. “How I was raised, when someone was found useless or weak, they were to be terminated.” The demon got to his knees and sighed out of confusing. Why wont he do the same? Alzon pondered this thought as the waves crashed, breaking a small silence. Finally he got to his feet, still with his green orbs locked on the fox.

“Blue fox,” Alzon started, ignoring most of the pain coming from his arm as he spoke in a deep like type of voice. “I don’t know what you just did is called, but for some reason I feel like I need to say thank you.” The demon turned his head and grunted something under his breath only he could ever hear. “But since we are foes, all I will say is I owe you one. That makes us...even...right?” He said very slowly, being new at talking to a foe, or more of a stranger without attacking him.

“How I was raised, when someone was found useless or weak, they were to be terminated,” the boy explained, and Kai frowned slightly. To be brought up like that...it didn't seem a very pleasant thought. “Blue fox,” the boy continued, speaking in a somewhat deep voice it seemed to Kai. “I don’t know what you just did is called, but for some reason I feel like I need to say thank you.” Turning his head and grunting something, which even Kai couldn't make out with his good hearing, he continued further. “But since we are foes, all I will say is I owe you one. That makes us...even...right?”

"I suppose most people would probably say that...as for me, well, I don't really care much either way. I just help people for the sake of doing so, as long as they need help and I'm not completely certain that they won't turn it around on me. Friend or foe...I don't discern much between them, quite truthfully," Kai said, standing up as well and brushing some of the dust off his pants. "Anyway, though...it occurs to me I don't know your name. Mine's Kai, mind if I ask yours?" he continued, looking over to the boy who once had shown himself as an enemy, but now...well, he probably still was, but Kai could never be sure.

Lef - August 8, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
Alzon blinked at the fox, uncertain why he would want to know his name, surely it wasn’t any of importance to him. But what did they call him? Murderer, crazy demon? Sometimes it was hard to remember what his name was. Besides, this fox was dubbed a foe, he didn’t need to know what Kai’s name was. Although, he did spare him, having the perfect chance to kill him and all in his sleep. And this odd character didn’t seem to care who was good or evil, he just seemed to want to help, something Alzon hardly ever heard of.

“What does my name matter to you?” He said blankly, not sounding rude, nor nice. I need to keep going until I find a way to get stronger, this is wasting my time. Alzon turned his back to the fox, and started to walk. Until we see each other again fox...take care.

((sorry for the shortness))
