Title: Searching
Description: For what, no one knows. (Open)

Church Taren - August 3, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)
Birds flew out of the forest, tearing off towards some unknown destination, obviously frightened out of their wits by something. Following them closely, however on the ground, were a pair of small rodents. And, following the, his blue skin glistening from sweat, blood red eyes seeming to emit a light of their own, large claws stained green and brwon from cutting through the forest. His wings were folded in close to his back so as not to get in the way. His hands flexed ominously, but really weren't too threatening. Or at least he didn't mean it to be that way. He was getting rather annoyed at having to slice through miles and miles of forest, to tell the truth. However, he had gotten the urge to search through here and wasn't about to give it up. Not by a long shot.

The deep blue half-dragon sliced through another wall of vines, his eyes flickering back and forth, taking in everything. Absolutely everything, from the monkeys that were swinging through the trees above him to a black dragon he had heard (and, after a few minutes of inspection, had seen) off in the distance, even to the few small leaves that were falling around him, sliced off by the talons of some avian creature. He took a couple more steps, then used his rather large claws to cut through a large fern that had grown in his path. Something was telling him that whatever he was looking for was this way. Whatever that was.

It had all started with a dream he had. His mother appeared to him. Or some dragon anyway... he assumed it was his mother, but really, he couldn't be very sure. It was a dream after all. He wasn't even sure if it would turn into anything, but, hey, what the heck. At the time he wasn't doing anything, and he figured that there was nothing to lose anyway. But now... he was being bitten by bugs (or they were trying to bite him at any rate. His skin was really too thick for the regular sized ones to do much, and the large ones were destroyed the second they impacted his large, fast moving tail), he was tired, and he wasn't seeing anything. He almost wished that the black dragon would get it's large butt over here and attack him.

Wynn - August 3, 2006 09:41 AM (GMT)
Iris woke up and noticed the light filtering through the trees above, she pushed herself to her feet wondering how long she'd been asleep for and what time it was. One way to find out. From her back grew a pair of wings seemingly made of light, she took off barely moving them and went above the canopy of trees, she looked up and saw the sun directly overhead of her.
"Brilliant"
she muttered "bloody brilliant"
She lowered herself back down below the tree canopy and settled on a stron branch, she looked about. The best means for surviving in a place like this would be an Earth form, fire would probably burn the place up. She closed her eyes and concentrated hard. A green aura surrounded her and grew brighter turning into a glow. Once it faded Iris had turned into her earth form which represented an elf with blond hair, even her clothes had changed into some kind of weak armour. She hopped down from the branch stretching a pair of wngs that looked like they were made of leaves and folding them behind her again. She looked up wondering what to do now.

"Okay, what now"
she muttered "not much to do in a place like this"
She walked along the floor looking around in curiousity, she heard a snapping noise nearby and turned her head instantly. Something large was moving through the forest, something large, scaled and winged.

"A dragon? Perfect"
she muttered sarcastically "now what do I do"
She leapt into the nearest tree and pondered her options, if it was a fire dragon, and agressive it would tear through her earth form like paper, if she went into her fire form she'd definatly burn something. But if it was friendly she needent worry, she decided quickley and concentrated. A deep blue aura surrounded her and she then became her water form, which had pink hair and resembled a Lilith, she had no idea what a Lilith was but all she knew was that it looked like one. She dropped down looking up at the dragon, it appeared to be searching for something. She moved closer slightly wondering what was going on. The dragon seemed tired, and not harmeful at all. Iris' tension lowered as she looked at the its face. She stepped into its sightline.

"Er, hi. Are you okay? You look upset?"
She smiled innocently at him.

Church Taren - August 4, 2006 05:06 AM (GMT)
Church gazed down at the seemingly little girl, his nine foot half-dragon form seeming to simply tower over her. His red eyes widened slightly, looking her up and down with quick glances, looking around for some sort of accompanyment. It was not usual at all to see a young girl this far into the rainforest. And it was even more rare to see her here alone. What sort of mother would leave her out like this? Really, that's just irresponsible. Church nearly shook his head, but decided against it. It wouldn't be the smartest move ever. And besides, she could've been orphaned like him, somehow. At any rate, a nice chat would do well to ease him up a bit.

Church smiled rather warmly, put on a rather nice voice, and spoke in his deep, rather gruff but at the same time smooth (somehow it's possible, and not even he is sure how he does it) voice. "I'm fine. Just tired of walking through here, really. It gets annoying after a while, don't you think?" He smiled again, one eye and ear out for any trouble all the time. After all, they were in the middle of a rather ravenous and wild rainforest. One never knew when something hungry might come bounding out of the vines and trees after you.

"So, what are you doing so far out here?" Once again he looked around for a mother or some sort of escort and found none. That was starting to bug the half-dragon a little bit, to be truthful. But he would be able to protect her until he found someone, or discovered more about her at least. After all, some things could be hidden. Church knew he looked younger, human-wise, than he really was. Something similar could be going on with this girl.

Wynn - August 4, 2006 10:59 AM (GMT)
Iris watched the dragon turn his head, he looked concerned, so he wasn't deadly after all, but if Iris transformed back into her normal form she'd probably freak him out, her kind hadn't been seen for at least a mellenium.
"I'm fine." the dragon replied "just tired of walking through here, really. It gets annoying after a while, don't you think?"
"Yeah, I guess so"
Iris muttered.
The dragon seemed cautious of something, she noted him keeping a watcheful eye out and his ears pricked, Iris hadn't encountered any dagers as yet, and she knew how to look after herself at any rate even if there was anything dangerous out here.

"So, what are you doing so far out here?" The dragon asked.
He appeared to be searching for something, Iris glanced behind her but saw nothing.

"Traveling mostly"
she replied "I like to visit places like this, gives me a chance to explore alot"
She smiled and looked up at the dragon.

"And what about you?"
she asked "you look like your trying to find something?"

Church Taren - August 5, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
Church nodded slowly. It was weird, but he seemed to trust the girl. At least she didn't seem like someone who would be mean, at all really. And that alone made him feel like he could tell her whatever he wanted and not worry about it. The thought made him smile slightly. "Ya, I'm looking for something. Although, as crazy as this will sound, I'm not sure what it is. Really, it's a rather long story, but, in short, I had a dream that told me to come here. I normally listen to my dreams, ya know? So I came here. And here I am."

Church looked over the girl once again. There was something odd about her, something he couldn't place. It wasn't about her personality, although she talked like she had a lot more experience than someone so young would normally have... and her body languange spoke of something different. It was an interesting little delima, but he didn't want to ask her outright if she was strange. There had to be a better way of going about it... Somehow... Maybe...

"So... if you don't mind my asking, are you human or something else?" Church almost kicked himself when he asked that, but it was too late then. His mouth opened faster than he could think, and, while he didn't normally hesitate to ask things like that, he didn't want to offend anyone either. But the damage, if there was going to be any, was already done, so he continued. "You look human, but not at the same time, ya know?"

The dragon nodded slowly. He even smiled a bit, Iris smiled back encouragably.
"Ya, I'm looking for something. Although, as crazy as this will sound, I'm not sure what it is. Really, it's a rather long story, but, in short, I had a dream that told me to come here. I normally listen to my dreams, ya know? So I came here. And here I am."
"I see" Iris said.
After all most of her dreams told her what to do. The dragon looked back at her with an odd look on his face, something must be troubling him.

"So..." he said after a while "if you don't mind my asking, are you human or something else?"
After he asked the dragon looked angry at himself for some reason, Iris wasn't offended, most people would either think she was a human, elf or angel depending on which form she was in.

"You look human, but not at the same time, ya know?"
"Oh, you mean that"
Iris smiled at the dragon "no I'm not a human, but you porbably didn't notice these"
Iris unfolded one pink wing that looked like it was made from some kind of liquid, it was rippling and always made Iris feel seasick when she looked at them, she put it back behind her and looked up at the dragon.

"In simple terme I'm an elemental"
she said "well technically a shapeshifter, but its kinda a mix of both really. Sorry but I didn't catch your name? Mine's Iris"

Church Taren - August 11, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
((Sorry I havn't been on. Been extremely busy lately, and havn't had time to do anything RP wise really. So, I'm sorry. And I'm sorry that this post is gonna be fairly short.))

"I'm Church. And no, I really didn't notice those." Church gave another small smile. "And elemental... I don't believe I've ever really met an elemental before. I mean, there have been summoned ones and everything, but I've never met one that's not been summoned, ya know?" Church's own wings stretched slightly behind him, their six meter wingspan avoiding trees and bushes and everything as best as they could. However, they could really only get to about four meters wide before becoming obstructed. They were pulled back in rather quickly, but it was enough to relieve the tension that had been in them before.

"So, care to walk a bit with me? I could use the company, to be honest. Gets boring out here by yourself."

"I'm Church. And no, I really didn't notice those."
Iirs smiled to herself, she'd had the wings folded behind her, she doubted even an eight eyed beast could hjave spotted them.
"And elemental... I don't believe I've ever really met an elemental before. I mean, there have been summoned ones and everything, but I've never met one that's not been summoned, ya know?"
"well those kind are usually made of their element, I'm not though but I still posess elemental gifts, a few weak ones for natural abilities though"
she shurgged.
The dragon streached its wings at that moment, they didn't get far until the trees got in the way and he had to draw them back, they were certainly larger that Iris'. About 6 or seven feet long, she couldn't tell because they hadn't streached very far.

"So, care to walk a bit with me? I could use the company, to be honest. Gets boring out here by yourself."
"Sure, I wouldn't mind" Iris replied "I haven't traveled for ages"
