Kyo walked up to the towers entrance, looking forward to doing something It was evening and the first stars were just showing in the sky.
The tower was an odd shape with its square sitting on top of a the round wall, It also looked old and broken, but Kyo had heard that a few people go into it to explore and may as well go looking himself. Lighting a torch he walked though the door way. The Smell was airy, yet dampness came with it and a distinct smell of something else that Kyo could not decide on.

He moved further on and started looking for doors or other places that could lead to the underground passages that he wanted to find. In the corner of a room he had just entered, there was pile of cloth that he could have sworn he saw move. He was about to investigate, even drawing his sword, when he heard a nose back form the entrance.
It was footsteps. Moving behind the wall something nudged his back. Startled he gave a wail, turned and struck down with his two handed blade. The thing had been a cloaker now chopped in two but more of them now rose from where the once pile of rags had been.

Snow was upstairs wondering around, she looked and saw nothing of great interest, as she was on her way heading down to leave, she stood on a loose floor board and fell, the borads around her made a snapping noise and a hole formed, she fell through floor and landed with a thud on the level below, luckily a pile of cloth broke her fall. She thought she saw another figure in the room with her but she had hit her head, so it was hard to tell. Before she knew it the cloth she landed on had a strap around her neck and was choking her, she grabbed the cloth Strangling her, trying to pull it away, but it was too strong and she could'nt reach her knives, her lungs were starting to burn for air.

Hacking at another cloaker and leaving it covered in scars, there was a loud crack and then dust, floorboards and a person fell from the ceiling onto the pile of cloakers that had just started to move. It was a woman who had fallen though the hole, and was currently being strangled by one of them. The other ones rushed at her and started to bite. Two of them flew at Kyo so he quickly dodged on of them and knocked the other one into a wall wit the flat end of his blade.

Running to help the woman He started to pull them off to no end. If he used his sword he could hit her, and that would be bad. Quick thinking prevailed, as on off them jumped on him and sunk its sharp teeth into his leg he raised his hand to the cloakers surrounding the woman, he shouted, "Galad'Elen!" in elvish. The meaning was "light star" and a silvery light formed in his hand and then shot at the cloakers.

Light erupted from where the magic hit scaring off all the cloakers including the one chewing on his leg, which flew off into a corner. Running to the woman he offered her one of his hands, "Are you in need of healing at all?” His sword was still in his left hand and he was looking up into each corner where the cloakers where snarling.

Snow looked up as he asked did she need healing, "It depends, which one of you wants to know?" She joked the fall had made everything dizzy for her but she soon was seeing clear again. She rubbed her throat as she got up and saw the cloakers in the corner. "So much for this place being safe" she said looking up at the hole in the floor above her. She looked around and saw dust everywhere the clokers where cowering in the corner,Then she looked at the man who had saved her "Thanks for helping me, name's snow!" she said dusting herself off.

Snow, that’s was an unusual name. He took the time to see that she was a human as far as he could tell anyway. Too many things hid there real appearance in human forms these days. Turning his attention to his leg where the long teeth of the cloaker had bitten into him, which was now throbbing with the pain. Muttering another word in Elvish that was inaudible the wound began to heal into a scar, slowly.
As it finished healing, he thought how he needed to by another robe now. It was covered in slashes now.

“My name is Kyo, It’s nice to meet you and it was a pleasure to help” he said standing straight and smiling in his wise face. One of the cloakers moved in the corner furthest away, Keeping his eye on the corner he noticed something else. “Well now it looks as if I’ve found the entrance to the underground section of the tower.” Moving over to the wall, which was full in the darkness and hiding a door. A bone lay on the ground near it showing the remains of a traveller. “I wonder,” he said aloud, “would you be willing to accompany me down there, anyone is welcome.” He said smiling again and looking at snow.

“My name is Kyo, It’s nice to meet you and it was a pleasure to help" he told her, she smiled and saw him look over to the corner of the room.

“Well now it looks as if I’ve found the entrance to the underground section of the tower.” He said moving over, snow walked over and looked into the new room it was dark and damp and the walls were made of stone, there was some sort os moss growing up the side, She saw bones on the ground but something else caught her eye something was shining in the dark room, “would you be willing to accompany me down there, anyone is welcome.”. "Sure I'd love to" She replied smiling.

She went over to enter the room, put her hand out in front of her and said "light" the room suddenly lit up and she saw that the floor was too steep and wet to come back up, "When we go down we will have to find another way out, so what do ya say?" She said smiling again.

“Yes, this is going to be interesting,” he said to her, still looking into the room. “I’ll plummet first.” He said laughably and without another word he slid down the slope into the room. He was on his feet sliding down and nearly fell but he kept his balance. On landing on the floor of the room he could detect evil was near, along with undead. Taking a quick look around from the light that snow was holding and using his low light vision, he saw that there was nothing in the room that could be dangerous. A corridor led off to two doors was to the right of the room and in the centre there were some broken barrels, half rotted and giving off a strong smell of gone off ale.

Turing back to the slope he called up to Snow. “It’s alright everything is safe,” at least he hoped it was. The source of the evil was seemingly getting closer but it could be anything from another cloaker to a rat. Taking out his sword again he let it fall to the floor while he took out a torch and lit it, so it gave off a orangey glow aiding his low light vision more so he could look closer at the room.

Snow watched him slide down first, She waited for a few moments until he called back “It’s alright everything is safe,”, Snow smiled "Even if it was'nt i'd sitll come down" She said sliding down after him, as she got to the bottom she took a few steps forward and saw the room below it was big and there were a lot of barrels.

What have i gooten myself into she thought, as she walked forward her heels made a cold noise on the stone floor, there was what looked to be a door at the other end of the room. "What do you think this place is?" she asked looking around. She walked over to the door and saw there was a key, it had a very detailed design on it, Snow turned the key and heard a clanking noise it sounded like gears turning she grabbed the door knob and quickly pulled her hand back there was an eleteric currnet. The door had shocked her.

Kyo was just about to answer that he had absolutely no idea, when he saw her hand recoiled from the door handle. Moving over to her he asked, “What happened?” He reached and grabbed the door for himself before she could answer and soon found out. The sharp pain of electricity ran up his arm as soon as his flesh touched the handle. He recoiled just like snow had done. “Hmm there’s one answer to this. But maybe we should try the other door?” He pointed down the corridor which he had spotted earlier.

She was just about to tell him not to touch the handle, but it was too late. She saw him point down the corridor and nodded, "This place seems to be full of surprises" She said as she started to walk down the corridor it was dark, and there was an overpowering smell of rotten flesh "I think there are undead about" she whispered and drew her staff.

She stopped the light glowing off her body, and kept low to the floor, she had always hated fighting undead, they were hard to beat.

A scratching noise was coming from behind the door now. Yes there was undead behind that door raising his sword. He didn’t really want to take chances with the door again, so he kicked it though instead and charged into the room. The door had knocked one of them out of his way, while he ran straight into one of them, taking them both further into the room. A quick glance of the room showed him that these two zombies where not the only ones there. A rotten zombie who looked as if it had been eaten from the waist down was crawling slowly towards snow, while a skeleton with only remains of rotten flesh on it armed with a cutlass and a wooden shield, came to attack Kyo. The two other zombies were currently off stumbling around stunned by being knocked around, but wouldn’t for long.

Taking his chance when he had it, Kyo swept up his blade above his head and swung down and at the same time the skeleton jumped at Kyo cutlass outstretched and shield ready to take Kyo’s swing. The blade of the two handed sword crashed into the rotten shield, making a splintering sound and causing it to shatter into several pieces, the skeletons arm snapped into on contact and the blade carried on down taking a few of the skeletons ribs with it. The cutlass however thrust into Kyo’s shoulder, causing more pain than it should off and a strange surging. The blade looked rusty and had a strange green glint to it. Err I hope that’s not poisoned he thought as he stepped back, pulling away from the blade which now slashed at Kyo who just managed to bring his blade up in time and slanting it so the skeleton to become off balanced. Bring the blade back up, hard and fast, it clashed against its spine splitting it.

Snow watched as Kyo chraged into the room She heard the slashing of a sword and yelled
"Are you ok?" she saw a half eaten corspe dragging itself along the ground towards her, she raised an eyebrow and swung her staff forward knocking its head off, but the body was still crawling towards her. Snow let out a disgusted sigh and slammed her staff against its spine, it was now lifeless.

She ran in to kyo and saw he had taken care of all the undead in the room she asked once more
"Are you ok?" and waited for him to reply. The bones were scattered everywhere on the ground and when snow looked up to the ceiling it was covered in bats and because of all the noise they flew down, screaming and screaching causing a draft in the room, there was another two doors infront of them.

The bats gave Kyo a bit of a jump, “Are you ok?” he was again startled buy the noise and then turned facing her he said dreamily, “I’ll be alright.” But to another’s eyes he was going paler and he did feel weaker. The poison was in all chances not strong enough to kill and if it was it was a slow one. Now for the doors, moving closer to them, Kyo looked at Snow and said, “Want to try one of them?” just as the last of the bats left the room, he himself reached for the one on the right. As he touched the doors’ handle he felt a chill in his hand and then the electricity kicked in. Wrenching his hand free was harder than the first time. The ice had caused it to be stuck there and leading to his arm to become num as it was objected to the shocking for longer.

Stroking his arm he muttered, “Well we know we’re not meant to go though that one.” His wound was still throbbing as his body held off the poison, how long can I last?

"As long as your sure your okay" she said, she saw him going pale and knew everything was'nt fine. As they walked over to the other two doors, she watched as Kyo grabbed the handle she saw him pull his hand back it was as if his hand was stuck there. Snow grabbed the other handle and prepared herself incase of a shock this handle was also icy. "Looks like theres ice in the next room" she said opening the door, an icy chill hit her as she went inside.

The room was covered in ice. "Its going to be hard to breathe in here with the temperature". There was a body it had been attacked by something and it was covered in ice. Snow saw what looked like another three doors ahead of them. "This is strange there are just more and more doors" she said rubbing her hands together, she loved ice thats how she got the nickname snow, she always wondered why people never asked how she got that name, and never asked her real name.

The room was freezing and causing a rasping feeling in Kyo’s throat and as he walked further in towards the doors he could see his breath mist over due to the extreme cold. “I wander why the room is like this.” As he moved further into the room he noticed that there was more too it. Behind a column of ice the room branched out in the shape of an L. Walking in around the corner he took a glance down to the end and then looked back to the doors. It took him a moment to realise what he had just seen.

There at the end of the room was an Ice golem! It was about 10ft in height and had huge claws protruding form its knuckles. Taking out his sword he quickly moved to the door but not quickly enough. It swept forward knocked Kyo flying into a wall with one backhand. Kyo hit the wall hard and then slouched down to the ground were he coughed up blood. There was a pain which told him one or two of his ribs were broken.
“Run!” he called to Snow as the golem turned of her. The call was not very load but he did manage to get up and move toward the door that the golem had sent him closes to. Opening it he fell though, it was a dark room with another long slope downwards. Unable to stop himself he fell head first down the slope and hit the floor a second later with a clatter of his sword and torch.

Snow turned quickly as she heard Kyo call to her, only to be hit by it massive fist into a pile of boxs. She got up slowly and said "Ok then" rubbing the side of her cheek, She had seen kyo find another door and slide down. He's only going to follow us if we don't stop him she thought. She headed for the other dark room and fell down unaware that it was so steep. She looked up and saw the ice golem, quickly rubbing her hands together she caused fire to start as she said "Illusion.....that will keep it away for a while" she then paused. "I"m starting to think this was a bad idea coming down here" She said joking and looking over at Kyo.

This room was different it was dark and she could'nt see anything, her back was full of cuts and scratches and there was a strange dripping noise in the distance.

“Nice idea by the way… I didn’t have any fire spells to kill it.” And in a quieter tone he said, “Plus it caught me off guard.” He rubbed the small of his back while rising to his feet and retrieved his Sword and Torch. The land on his face had left it grazed covering the left cheek but it wasn’t hurting so Kyo gave it no attention. The stab wound however was still pulsing, leaving the feeling of worse things to come.
The dripping could mean there was water or maybe something else but he didn’t know what that could be.

“Do you need healing?” he said after noticing the cuts covering her. The light of the torch barely lighted anything in the room. But it looked empty enough. “Should we stop for a rest here? All I need is time to cover the wounds.”

Snow looked over to Kyo, see could bearly see him "I dont need healing, but resting here sounds good" She said smiling, she sat up in what felt like a puddle.
She thought for a moment about how to brighten up the place.

She stood up and felt along the wall for any more torches, sense her light spell had worn off she would have to wait a while to use it again. She felt nothing but water leaking in from somewhere She walked back to where she had fallen and sat down. " So what do you do when your not trapped in a tower?" She said joking, she knew it was a stupid way to start conversation but there was pretty much nothing else to talk about and she really did'nt know much about Kyo.

To be honest Kyo was half expecting the question which was one of the many he was going to ask her. Moving towards the other wall he started lighting the other torched but in some cases he found he couldn’t because of slime covering them.
“I hunt evil, Not quite like paladin but I do share a few aspects, such as if I did come across wrong doings I would like to see them punished. I hunt the darkness not chaos.” Finishing lighting (the ones he could) the torches on that side. He picked the driest spot he could and sat down. Tearing a large strip form around his robe, big enough to fit around him and another smaller one, he got busy tiring it around the stab wound to make a simple dressing.

Looking up form what he was doing he asked wonderingly, “What do you do when you’re not trapped in a tower?” Tighten the dressing he let out a gasp of pain and then straightened his face quickly.

Snow let out a small laugh when he asked her the same question. She she could have told him she runs from people trying to kill her or maybe she could have told him about the demon that takes over her mind sometimes but insteed she said "I Travel, and help people out on the way, and...." She paused for a moment "I research my history" she said looking at the ground which had some light shining on it. Sure it was a strange thing to say, but when she found out her father was a pirate and had aranged for her and her mothers death she had to find out why.

The room had some light in it now, snow still did'nt see a way out, was this it?, was this where it ended and there was no return?, Snow pondered on this for a moment as the light started to flicker.

Research her history? Hmm … Opening his mouth he was about to say something when he noticed she was looking at the ground and thought it would be best not to talk about it. As if this was his queue, getting up with his shorter robes he looked around the room. It was dark damp and mouldy, several patched of green slimy areas seemed to come down from the ceiling and water dripped down from the walls and small stalactites.

Walking around the room he knocked each bit of wall fairly hard but came up with nothing. But as he had to walk past the slope he noticed that in a dark corner that the slope actually took the form of stairs but only actually lasted half way up to the door and it would be imposable to carry on from there. “I found something odd” he said to snow while looking oddly to the stairs, Kyo walked up to them and trying to solve the puzzle he put a foot on the second step and rested on his hand in a thinking pose.

At that close he could see every bit of detail on the stairs and was not stupid to notice that there was a line going around the stairs so that they were not part of the slope at all but kind of like a door way. “We need to find a button or a lever of some kind. Those stairs lead downwards.” Looking up the ceiling it looked as if he had said it right, as the ceiling did not look as if it would open up.

A lever or a button she thought she got up and walked around, she got close to a dark corner of the room she thought it might be hidden there, she took a step forward and fell underwater she quickly swam up again and took a deep breath, coughing and choking. I hope this works she thought and said "Light", her body started to shine and she could she the room light up.

She went under the water again, and saw about twenty bodies all of them dead, swimming around under there she felt her breath going, and then she saw it, it was lever, she pushed herself over to it and pulled it down. Something must have worked she thought as she went to get out. But she saw there was no hole to get out it was covered over by a slab of concrete. Her eyes opened wide as she saw no escape as she tried to bang it open, her lungs badly needed air.

Kyo heard the splash of the water and then turned to hear Snow cast light on herself again. A few moments later the stairway moved in to the slope, falling down like a draw bridge. Inside there was a dark stairway downwards. Putting his torch outstretched but the darkness seemed to consume the light coming off it. Turning again he feverishly looked around for Snow but found no one. “Snow?!” there was noting at all in the room but him… but there was a strange feeling of a watcher. Shadow crept in to the room slowly from the stair to which Kyo now walked closer.

Just visible to his elf eyes, a tentacle came out of the passage followed by more. It was a Chaos beast. Its tentacles dragged a half deformed body of a octopus like creature and on each of the tentacles were lines of sharp teeth. It seemed to be the source of the shadow as it tumbled into the room seeking the source of the light. we share opposite aims my friend. Raising his sword he hacked at a limb, chopping it off and leaving the beast screaming. Just as he was about to attack again something latched onto his wound form the cloaked making him drop his sword and be attacked by the rest of the tentacles.

Not being strong enough to fight back, he fell to the ground as it pulled on him. Sword where’s my sword?!

Starting to lose her breath snow swam and found a black hole in the side of the wall, she decided to take her chances and swim through, she could barely see in front of her, and soon was above water. She felt a small step Scrape her shoulder and pulled herself from the black water. She knew there was some sort of wall in front of her, "Where am I?" she asked,. She pushed against the wall and fell through into the room before. Running over quickly she saw Kyo being attacked by something, as the beast lifted its tentacle snow threw a knife to injure it, its tentacle flew off and some strange liquid oozed out. Quickly she drew her staff and ran towards the beast trying to knock it away.
