Title: The Relaxing Shade
Description: Open To Everyone
Dayne - July 25, 2006 07:58 AM (GMT)
The sun bore down on Lake Aelin where the temperatures were soaring, but in the shade around the lake itself a cool breeze played. Dayne was lying down, back against a tree and hair blowing around gently, listening to the calls of the birds around her. She couldn't think of a single place she would rather be.
The water was clear and sparkling, with a few fish darting around every now and then. Dayne sighed contentedly, fanning her wings slowly to help the breeze cool her down. Even though she was relaxed, the archangel was more then capeable of getting up and straight into a fight if need be. Her longbow was leaning against the tree, already strung and her quiver lay beside her.
Slowly, Dayne got her feet and wandered down to the lake edge, testing the water with her foot. Convinced it was a good temperature, she stepped slowly into the water yelping with laughter as the water splashed against her, seeping through her white, silk dress which billowed out behind her. After a while of ducking under the water to cool down, Dayne splashed back to the tree her equipment was leaning against.
Throwing herself down on the grass, the archangel stretched, letting the sun dry and warm her. Nothing could be more perfect.
Myuuri - July 25, 2006 02:15 PM (GMT)
Carrying around her somewhat small lute with her at all times, the pink cat-girl wandered aimlessly through this new land she'd arrived in during her travels, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city of Lomedor for a time before eventually going on her way. Since she didn't know her way around at all yet, however, she went toward the best landmark she'd been able to find, the distant mountains.
Thus she'd ended up at a lake on the way to them, and looked around for anyone nearby, finding some sort of angel by the lake's edge a short ways away, who seemed to be getting into the water. Walking over to the girl, her tail waving around contentedly behind her and tying her lute to the rope holding her skirt, she spoke out, wondering if she could perhaps make a first friend here in this new land.
"Hey, don't suppose you'd mind if I join you?" the young girl spoke out in a cheerful voice after the other girl had gotten back out of the water and walked back to her things by a tree nearby. Always smiling pleasantly, she put her hands together behind her, waiting for a hopefully positive response.
O'sangar Necreon - July 25, 2006 02:42 PM (GMT)
O'sangar flew among the clouds, high above the world. He was in demonic form at the moment, his favorite to be in. It was a lot less combersom than his dragon, and a lot more unique than his human. Trees past below him, greens of every shade. Ahead of him he could see a break in the foliage, a place where a large lake lay. he had been flying for the last six hours and could use a break from the constant pumping of his wings.
o'sangar angled himself toward the lake, then folded up the bat like protrusoins on his back, sending him into a dive. Strait towards the water. As he gained speed and approached the waters, he spotted two figures by its edge. He could not be sure, but one looked oddly pink, the other had feathery wings. It was too late for him to turn from his current course at the moment, but the one with wings looked oddly like an angel. That might not be good for him.
He turned his gaze from the two people by the lakes shore and entered the water. He felt a jerk as he collided with it, and his speed was slowed considerably. He still dove down to a great deapth. Turning, he flapped his wings underwater, propelling him upward toward the surface. His head broke the surface, and it turned to look for the two others who were there.
Charoget - July 25, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
As Charoget was wondering in this new found town on her travels it seemed a lot hotter here than in some places she had been. She wondered farther into the outskits of town and found a wonderful little lake that seemed like a great place to cool off at so she decided to take a dip but then saw the 3 figures there 1 in the water and two sitting by a tree and asked " Would any one care if I took a dip ... and where are my manners my name is Charoget." and as she said that she stood waiting for a reply from a nice looking group of friends.
Dayne - July 26, 2006 09:46 AM (GMT)
Dayne bilnked in surprise as a pink cat girl appeared next to her, then she got quickly to her feet. She smiled. 'Not at all.' she said calmly holding out a hand to the newcomer.
There was a sudden splash that made them both jump, and Dayne spun towards the lake. But all she could see was where whatever it was entered. The archangel shook her head in berwilderment just as another appeared out of the trees.
'Wow, and here I was feeling like I was the only one on the face of the earth.' she laughed, turning back to the lake as the person who had fallen into the lake surfaced.
Dayne felt her blood run cold.
The figure looked like a demon, but from this distance it was hard to tell. That was the problem with an angel being so young.
She couldn't tell if anyone was part demon if they were in human form. Still, she waited, to find out what would happen with the three others.
Myuuri - July 26, 2006 02:54 PM (GMT)
Shaking the angel girl's hand gently, Myuuri gasped as she heard a splash, and looked over in surprise, though at the moment whatever had made it seemed to be under the water. After a few moments, a head arose, appearing to be that of a demon or something similar, looking around for something, probably to find where the two of them were. Then she noticed another girl, a human by the looks of things, who walked up to her and the girl standing by the tree, as the angel spoke.
"Wow, and here I was feeling like I was the only one on the face of the earth," she said, laughing, and Myuuri giggled along with her.
"Would anyone care if I took a dip ... and where are my manners my name is Charoget," the new girl said as she reached the two of them.
"I don't mind at all, go ahead. And my name's Myuuri," Myuuri responded in her normal pleasant voice, looking to this new girl, then looked back to the angel. "And I never did get your name before everyone started coming...mind if I ask it?"
Charoget - July 26, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Charoget leaned her things up against a tree took off her robe revealing a red spaghetti straped shirt and black shorts.she took a quick dip for about 10 minutes And got out took her things and left saying "Thank you."
Dayne - July 27, 2006 08:02 AM (GMT)
'Dayne.' the archangel smiled, sinking slowly to the ground. Glancing at the sky, she noticed the sun was right above them, and if anything had got hotter. 'I'm going to need a quick swim, care to join me?' she asked Myuuri before glancing at the head poking out of the lake, which seemingly hadn't yet moved.
Without waiting for an answer, Dayne stood and dove headlong into the water, feeling a rush of exhiliration as it pushed against her.
Already she was moving quite fast, but she still pushed with her wings for extra speed. She came up for air and noticed that she had already come out rather far and the figure on the shore seemed surprisingly small.
She waved cheerily at Myuuri and she waved back before Dayne dove back under the water. She opened her eyes and rotated slowly in one spot.
The water was crystal clear and she could see a long way, just making out the figure of the man in the middle of the lake, but she couldn't make out any details.
Was he a demon after all?
Myuuri - July 27, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
"Dayne," the angel smiled, sinking back to the ground, then looked up for a moment, Myuuri following her gaze briefly to see if she was looking at anything in particular before returning it to this girl. "I'm going to need a quick swim, care to join me?"
But before Myuuri really got a chance to answer, the angel had dove into the water after looking for a moment at the person whose head was still sticking up out of it. Removing her lute from her side and placing it gently on the ground, Myuuri waved back as she noticed the angel wave cheerfully at her, and rushed out into the water, of which her non-anthro kin didn't tend to like but she quite enjoyed.
Swimming around for a few moments, she noticed that that other girl, the human, had left without much of a word, and shrugged, looking around and taking in her peaceful surroundings. What a nice place it was out here...hopefully there were more like this, and more kind people to meet.
