Title: A raise to the word limit

I wouldn't mind seeing the word limit moved to 50 words to reduce on short posting, and raise the general literacy of Arda. 50 words is not hard at all, I think everyone here can do it.

that sounds like a good idea, and it would actually force some newbies to practice and improve their skills.

I dont think that the newbies comment was needed lol. But i think the 50 words would be a good thing to as well.

I think that this is a possibility. I'm hesitant to make RP more difficult for some members, because Arda is about being accessible and fun to everyone, regardless of their skill. But, 25 is very easy to reach, so something a bit higher is reasonable now that 25 is the norm. Hmm.

I think 50 words is good, 25 hasn't got enough information. This post has 25 words in it, and look how short it is!

Well, after seeing that, I'd say 50 is good enough for the new limit. :lol:
I think I should also convert the ARP limit into words instead of sentences. And make it something more like 200 words or something. :unsure:

Why not have lines instead? I speak with experience. For some admins, it's as hard as hell to count the number of words.
basic: 3 lines.
ARP: 10 lines.

Also, it's as easy as clicking the "count words" button to count how many words someone has posted - no chore at all.

Yeah, 200 is a good number. If you are an ARPer, you'd better be able to do 200.(That's TW's limit...with 350 for deities.)

And word has a handy dandy word counter. Use it. Also, I think Arda has a word counter somewhere.

The link to count your words is under the text area when posting :p And there's also a version of it posted in the Rules & Info forum. ^_^
So yes, I think raising the limit to 50, and changing the ARP limit from 10 sentences to 200 words is good. I'll close this suggestion now. :)
