Title: Meeting Of Holiness
Description: [P] Avénnian and Yumi [P]
Zenith Meria - July 12, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
The Sanctuary of the Angels was indeed a beautiful place. Walking closer to the statue in the middle of this place was a cloaked man. His dark brown eyes looked up the statue and he said in a soft voice "I promise I wont fail you.... I promise..." He then looked around to see who else was there. Seeing the place was rather empty the cloaked figure began to remove his cloak. He had large black boots on, with long white pants, His top was also long but had no sleves. It had a black stripe going down from under the mans arms.
It also had two smaller black stripes going down the front of it. Around the colar of this top was a brown band that was held in place by two golden pins. Each pin seemed to have a cleric cross within it. The thing that stood out on this man was not his clothes but his large white angel wings on his back. His hair was of medium lenght, just flowing over his wings slightly. This mans name was Zenith.. and he lived for one purpose so far. That purpose was to help all those in Arda then were in need of it.
At each of the mans sides lay a large sword. Each of these sword had a name that reflected Zenith, the one on is left side was named Hope, while the one on his right was named Destiny. These two blades had both been used in many battles and were feared by many evil beings that Zenith had come in contact with.
The young Arch Angel then spread out his large wings and closed his eyes as he took in a deep breath. Zenith loved the morning air, everything seemed at peace for now... he just wished that the rest of Arda could be this way all the time. But the peacefull silence was soon broken by the sound of footsteps but Zenith still didn't open his eyes. He felt their was nothing to fear as if the footsteps had been evil, the air around him would have changed somewhat.
Yumi - July 12, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
Hues dancing in the clouds, colored purple, red, and a hint of orange along the haze from the sun; uprising to the new day. Bird were active, for they awakened just before the sun rose, ready, and prepared for the new day that would come. A small sound was made, as a staff’s end touched the cobble stone road. The staff looked old, and taller then the person who was supporting their weight on it. The figure was a girl, around the age seventeen, short with blue night hair which was braided up into a hair style which was surprisingly easy to manage. The blue hair thumped against the nape of her neck lightly as she trudged on the side of the road. Her black eyes, despite the dark look, they glinted in the sunlight, almost as a reflector. The eyes were glancing at people, surprisingly there were angelic people here, and that was nice to know.
Yumi hasn’t been around that many angels, the one she has, she cherished the time, and replayed the day over and over in her head so she wouldn’t forget. Yumi stopped, and rose from her leaning position to put the staff behind her back. Small slow gasps were taking, she never walked so much at a time before. Yumi began to take light footed steps, passing more angels, and lightly glancing at them here and there.
Her white small wings lightly flickered uncomfortably; for they were starting to grow, and it almost hurt sometimes. Yumi had her head down as she shallowly walked, she was shy when it came to public places. But after awhile she seemed to warm up to everything. I wonder if I’ll bump into anything. Yumi thought, just before she caught a glimpse of someone shoes, then finally her looked up and saw an angel who had his eyes close. Yumi’s eyes widen, and tried to stop, but it was too late, she bumped into the angel. As her face became red as a beet, she took a step back and looked up, noticing it was a male angel. “I’m sorry I didn’t see where I was going.” Yumi said in a polite voice, yet it wasn’t small, it sounded in a normal tone full of guilt.
Zenith Meria - July 12, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
Zenith was soon brought out of his thoughts when someone bumped into him. Luckily he was a rather calm person. Zenith turned to face the person and seen it was a young woman. She said “I’m sorry I didn’t see where I was going.” Zenith smiled at the woman and said back to her "Its ok miss... its my fault. I should not have been standing in the middle in your way with my eyes closed." Thats when the young Arch Angel seen the womans face had become somewhat red. His smile grew and he tucked his large white wings back in while he said "My name is Zenith.. and once again Miss I am sorry for just there like that." The wind then began to blow through the air somewhat faster and sent Zeniths hair into his eyes.
Zenith then raised his right hand slowly up to his face and moved the hair from his eyes still with a smile. His brown eyes looking onto the woman. Zenith then walked a little closer to her and said "In a way.. it was rather nice being bumped into by you. I didnt think i would really meet anyone today, but looks like I have got the pleasure of meeting you Miss." Tilting his head Zenith once again seen the womans red cheeks. He stood there and awaited either a reply or a reaction from the young woman.
As he waited Zenith seen some people in the distance, tall angels, they seemed to be getting praised by all that they walked past but Zenith, as of yet, did not know why this was the case. Putting these thoughts aside Zenith once again turned his full attention onto the woman that had bumped into him.
Avénnian - July 13, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
"How unfortunate" Avennian spoke to himself with very little sound, nearly a whisper. He had been walking through the streets of the Santuary of Angels, moving steadily, as his purpose was of high importance. Not the utmost importance, but important enough to have him travelling for days to accomplish a task.
The 'unfortunate' circumstance he spoke of was the loss of his travelling partner. She had not died, but they had become seperated. Avennian assumed that she had wandered off somehow while they had stopped to search for a certain angel. Yes, Avennian and Yumi had travelled many days to the Santuary of Angels in search of a single person, but as mentioned, the matter at hand was of high importance to Avennian. Plans were in the making, and this person would be an asset. As Avennian walked, he hoped; and prayed; that the angel would join he and Yumi.
As the elf continued, memories of his upbringing resurfaced. He found it to be ironic that this new task had brought him back to his Sanctuary home. As he walked, his head turned as he searched for this angel, but his mind subconciuosly looked for others that he may have remembered from so long ago. It was unlikely, as it had been quite some time since he had visited his home. Some time indeed....
Suddenly the straining of his eyes was relieved; catching sight of Yumi. She was, talking to someone? Avennian hoped that she would not be asking someone about the angel they were searching for, as it would not be wise to leave any kind of trail where someone could easily remember their stop in the Sanctuary. Still, he did not increase his pace. His countenance held a firm calmness that almost never changed. Nearing Yumi, Avennian watched as the person she was speaking with turned.
An angel, Avennian thought. This was nothing unusual to him, but seeing as previously he had run into a human that strikingly resembled the angel he had been looking for, it was exciting enough to find an angel of equal similarities. Now, he slowed his pace just a bit, nodding respectfully at a few passing angels. Hearing the last few words of the angel as he came closer, Avennian walked up next to Yumi and smiled just a bit, although his eyes held a firm look of sincerity. He turned his head to look at Yumi for a moment, knowing that his sudden presence would have seemed slightly odd, but he spoke before giving her the time to do so:
"It is a pleasure for anyone to meet this young lady. However, we have come to see you, Zenith." Avennian's stern countenance was unwavering, and his body shone with a holy aura. Knowing of Zenith's dedication to holiness, Avennian assumed that the angel would be able to 'sense' that he and Yumi had come for a purpose. After all, he was a chosen. "There will be ample time for introductions later, but now we need to find a place more suitable than the open city area." Avennian turned almost immediately, and began to walk. He didn't know if Zenith would be a bit hesitant, but thought that Yumi should be able to handle that, as she should have known the pre-planned meeting area. It was merely the first step of having them become aquainted with each other. The first step of his counter-plan to the forces of evil...
Yumi - July 13, 2006 03:01 PM (GMT)
Phew, he is polite. Yumi thought to herself as the redness from her cheeks slowly dimmed, but there was still pink there, hardly noticeable. And why wouldn’t anyone here be unkind? This was a place where a lot of angels come, surely most of them were nice, so far everyone she bumped into has been kind. Yet, somehow this man seemed kinder, not in a polit way, but in a holy way; a lot like her friend...Avennian! As she thought this, Yumi remembered how she got apart from him, and he was possible looking for her, maybe worried. She wasn’t known to get into trouble, but only by purely getting lost, and away from her travel partner from time to time. Once she remembered getting lost in here, and an angelic woman found here, it was rather a quick find. How long has it been since she was away from Avennian? Maybe twenty, or fifteen minutes, so not too long, yet long enough to be lost deeper in the big city.
Yumi smiled a bit, matching the same size of smile to the angel who she bumped into. Her eyes were locked on his and her cheeks became hot again, but with patients, she dimmed them once more. Just as she was about to speak, or say something, anything, her traveling partner, Avennian, finds her before she could say anything. But her mouth was lightly parted, ready to speak, then she closed them and heard Avennians words. So this was the man they were looking for? Yumi could have bumped her head, almost forgetting why they came here, but then it all came back to her like a boomerang.
And as fast as he came, he walked away once more into the city. Main reason she got lost of it too, for not completely looking at him as he moved. And, she would do the same mistake again. Yumi looked at the angel again, then smiled, no time to waste, Yumi thought to herself as she felt her right foot moving swiftly though the crowds. Avennian’s blue hair could be seen though the crowds, constantly saying ‘excuse me’, and ‘sorry’, came out of her mouth as Yumi nearly bumped into anyone, lucking, that didn’t happen. Once, Yumi had to squeeze between two food carts, and the merchant blinked, surprised that anyone could fit between something like that. But Yumi was a small girl after all, it was rather easy to do something like that, yet she still didn’t try to call attention to herself.
Then Yumi could see his pointy ears, the wind was rushing more against her face as she broke out into an open run, coming into an alley way. She thought this was the place, but Avennian was no where to be seen. Yumi tapped her noggin with her knuckles lightly, once again losing her friend. “Now where did I see him last?” Yumi thought to herself, then she saw Aveenian out of luck as she was looking to the left and right for him. The girl jogged up to him then followed closely. “I’m sorry,” Yumi said shyly, feeling somewhat embarrassed for almost getting lost again, thus making the whole meeting take longer.
Zenith Meria - July 13, 2006 03:27 PM (GMT)
Zenith had seen this new tall person appear and speak towards him, but soon after he had began to walk through the crowd once more. Quickly he was followed by the young woman. Zenith let out a small sigh and said to himself "Might as well follow them then...." And with that Zenith began to walk through the crowds to catch up with these people who said they had been looking for him. His wings tucked into his side as he walked and shifted through the crowd.
Both the swords Destiny and Hope still lay by his sides as he walked on, soon he seen the hair of the man that had spoken to him and he began to speed up. He could not lose these people they seemed nice and well.. thats something Zenith had not seen in a while. Both of those people seemed to be angelic like in their own tyoe of way. The man by the way he spoke and walked, while the woman... well everything about her was angelic, all she needed was the wings.
Catching up to the people at an increased pace he seen the man walk one way while the woman another. It looked as though she was getting lost... soon however Zenith did not need to dwel on this as he seen both up ahead of him. He passed his way through the rest of the crowd and final got near them both. But thats when he began to think, why did they need him... why had they been looking for him. After all, Zenith was only a low class Paladin and Cleric, he was not even very well known...
He soon shook these thoughts out of his head and walked right up to the two people, he was standing next to the female then said "So do you mind if i ask why you have been looking for me Miss, and Sir." Yes he was curious but Zenith was also happy, as someone had been looking for him, two kind people, so he thought that they were looking for him for a lawful reason.
Avénnian - July 14, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
"I'm sorry" Avennian heard Yumi whisper. He turned his head and slowed for a moment, letting a slight smile edge upon his lips. He did not ponder upon her words for long, for he did not want to make her wait for his reply. Allowing her to feel sorry for even a moment right now was too extreme in Avennian's mind, and so he spoke to let her know how he felt:
There is no need to be sorry. He started, holding within his voice the kindest of tones. "Today you have done me a great service simply by coming with me to find Zenith. " Still walking, he turned his head and looked at the people making their way through the streets. "You have done a great service to the world." Avennian was not sure if Yumi had heard that last statement, though he was moreso speaking to himself than her.
"So do you mind if i ask why you have been looking for me Miss, and Sir."
Hearing this, Avennian looked up at the sky for a moment, and replied:
"I do not mind your question, Zenith." Suddenly his head jerked to the right just as a hooded figure wrapped ina black coat passed. "However, answering, I do mind. At least, at this time." The dark figure passed completely by, and Avennian looked forward once again. "You must understand, Zenith, that evil knows no rest. Darkness finds its way at night, and day." Turning his head to the left, the elf's eyes set upon a shadow cast by a tree upon the ground. He looked at it eerily for a moment, but once again cast his vision forward. "That is the first thing that I want you to learn from this meeting of ours."
They had come upon an intersection within the roads, and Avennian made a sharp turn to the left. Continuing forward, he said no more within the next few moments, merely keeping his eyes firm upon the horizon; reaching his destination was highly dependent upon the time. His mind seemed to wander away from the two behind him as he walked. His white cloak waved behind him, being toyed with by the wind. Today he had declined in wearing his golden armor. No, he felt the need to keep his self the least noticeable possible. Troubles were arising, and to take effective action Avennian wanted to finish his business quickly. He knew some things would still take time, but proceeding as quickly as would be allowed was necessary.
Yumi - July 15, 2006 12:05 PM (GMT)
Yumi nodded at Avennian’s words. She looked back at Zenith, and then to her surprise Avennian went off again. Not wanting to get lost again, so began to play with her fingers as she kept up with his speed. Yumi wondered if they would ever get there, or would Avennian have to keep stopping because people were getting lost? Namely her.
She was tempted to pulled out her staff and use it as a walking stick, but declined for she didn’t want any one to think she couldn’t keep up. But lately, she has gotten sicker quicker, and more worn out. For some reason her body seemed to tire, and Yumi had no idea why, maybe because she tried to make her body strong.
Yumi rubbed her two small wings together on her back, scratching them as she walked. But in the corner of her eye she kept seeing shadows. This is odd, the sun just rose. Yumi thought as she paced herself quicker, walking next to Avennian’s left side. Was something following them? A shyly look came in her eyes, "Avennian, I think something is close to us, but I may be seeing things." She spoke in a soft voice, and looked at the corners of her eye, nothing.
(sorry for the shortness)
Zenith Meria - August 4, 2006 12:25 AM (GMT)
Zenith seen the two walk off once again then headed after them, thats when his third blade was seen. It was the blade blessed by the Goddess Of Life herself, Yes Zenith had a Holy Blade. Although to fit in with his other blade, Destiny and Hope, Zenith had named this new blade Salvation. He soon seen both Yumi and Avénnian. The words from Avénnian still ringing through the mind of Zenith "I do not mind your question, Zenith. However, answering, I do mind. At least, at this time. You must understand, Zenith, that evil knows no rest. Darkness finds its way at night, and day. That is the first thing that I want you to learn from this meeting of ours." It was clear that this Avénnian was indeed a very wise and powerfull man.
Zenith then seen something moving out of the corner of his eye. It had only been mere moments since Avénnian had said this to him but already Zenith felt a change within him, he was begining to feel and see the evil around him more than he had before. Even here in The Sanctuary of the Angels the evil seemed to roam free. Zenith seen ahead of him Yumi speaking to Avénnian. He had stayed somewhat back since the pair seemed to be rather close, he didnt want them to think he was trying to change things. Zenith was only going along with them both as Avénnian and Yumi seemed to be pure being, at one with Holiness within Arda.
Sure Zenith was one with Holiness but he was more of a fighter of such, a Paladin ready to destroy any evil within Arda at a moments notice. Avénnian however seemed to be more than just a Paladin... there was something very different about him and Zenith wanted to learn all that he could. In truth, Zenith wanted to join their party for various reasons including getting away the travel more, meeting more pure beings of Holiness and also fighting against the ever strenght gaining darkness that was taking over the world.
More and more people seemed to be born with black, unpure hearts... It was as if the light from the world was being crushed, backed into a corner ready to be killed. This is what Zenith was fighting for... to stop the light from being destroyed and to once again free the world of Arda from evils grip. Although in order to do this he would need others help... and joining Avénnian and Yumi seemed the best way to do such.
He then drew closer to them finally coming out of his thoughts enough to say "Where are we headed Avénnian. Or shall i just keep silent and follow you both." Zeniths voice seemed calm and pure as he said this, his long brown hair falling down his back as the winds slowly began to increase in strenght and speed. Zenith looked on at Yumi and Avénnian awaiting a reaction or reply of some kind.
