It trudged through the muck, feeling the suction as it pulled back the boots that it wore. It made a half attempt at swating away the thick clouds of insects buzzing their feroucious laughter in it's ears. They were feasting on it's bad thoughts of just giving up and letting to the bugs, so they waited. They knew that this thing had not had water for days, so they prepared their knives and forks of hope to have a large meal. They waited for the thing to fall to the jungle floor, vanquished, calling for defeat.
"This is one Hell of a treck," Swellen Arthat pondered out loud in a croaky voice. He had not had water for two days, and was growing weaker by the moment. He recalled two days before when he decided to head out in search of... Somthing! He couldn't remember what he was looking for, he was almost delerious! And the situation had only grown worse when he realized he had not packed enough water. It was embarising despite no one was around to see him... No one would probally see him again either.
So here he was, half-mad and full of flies. The flies seemed to have been impatient with him , and with curiosity, had delved into his body-mainly through his ears. He could almost feel them in their, tickling away at his heart, wich only managed to pump more blood through him from the hot, humid air that could only just be called air. He felt them their, ready to take him down from the inside, ready to lay their eggs and then eat their way from the outside,in. Inside, out, Swellen corrected himself.
Of course this is a slight exageration, but sure is how he felt. And knowing that this world wouldn't care if another hopless, useless, beingthat nobody cared for just dropped dead, he died. Or at least tried to. He went into a state most call as unconsious.
seening the poor creature there was horable enough but seeing the nasty insects all over him Helix decided to help him. he jumped down from his pearch in a close by tree grabing him and climbing back up into the trees he took him into a make shift tree house waiting for the young creature to awaken
Aurum was safe from the mud. She beat her wings to stay aflight, which had the double effect of keeping the bugs away as well as keeping her feet clean. But it was difficult, due to the fact that she had so much water. Seeing someone trying to save someone from the bugs, she flew over. Hovering, she pulled some water out of her bag, and offered to the conscious one. The other semmed to be unconscious, so she splashed water on him.
