Axle Revera - July 11, 2006 12:38 PM (GMT)
Over time certain facts of strange things or once and a life time events are considered mearly legends. And over even more time, as the world changes like it always does, those legends become myths. One such legend was that this part of the desert had not seen rain in two hundred years. Some who have not yet seen the waste land would say that was impossible. But, there was one man who was not concerned with the legend, only it's origin. Axle Revera did not know if in fact it had rained here in those two hundred years, but he did know that he was born on that day it did rain all that time ago.
His mother, a tribelady of what use to be a small village here, had been desecrated physically by a demon. Being a half demon, with red eyes glaring at the mid wife, Axle's life was instantly born into a world that did not accept him. His mother had such a heart, however, and againt the looks and words of the desert tribe raised her son. She taught him from a young age that all actions had consequences, it was a rule the god's had made for the universe.
Axle could almost remember that day he felt that rain. Leaving the warmth of his mother's body into a hot world with cold spears falling from the sky. It further fueled the people's fear of him and after sixteen years the village elder had banished Axle and his mother. Axle survived the treck through the desert, his mother did not. As she laid dying in his arms, her lips and throat too parched to speak, she whispered her dying words. Words that Axle now whispered upon a plateau, over looking the village's ruins.
"Every action must have a reaction. Every death must have another. And every sin must have vengeance."
Kyo - July 11, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Kyo now walked along the ruins of a small village, moving between the remains of the buildings thinking of what could have happened here and what hardships and good times the village had. For like many villages it must have had them and it would be interesting to know what happened to the people that had been living here. He moved on, but came to an abrupt halt as something under his boot crunched, erg a bone. moving aside he went on feeling the sun on his face and suddenly felt quite sick. Taking a drink Kyo stopped and rested on a wall. Reasoning out problems was not why he was here he had been walking along a road far off from here when he sense an evil person nearby. He didn’t know why but he followed it all the way to here.
He had just recently lost it but he new it was near, and after a while of wandering around randomly he had came across this place. Getting up he remembered there was a shaded place back the way he had been walking and made his way toward it. Apparently it had not rained in this place for about 200years almost the same age as himself. If this was correct then he had no idea if there was any remaining what in the deserts so what he had he uses sparingly. For most of the day he had been using his wings to shade him and he did that now just till he got back to the shade. The shade he had referred to was just another building except it was not as destroyed as the rest and provided quite a bit of protection from the sun. He seemed to have a great sense of direction as once he had been somewhere he could always get back even though he was blind and found it very useful.
Getting there he put his chain mail in the corner along with his weapons and made himself comfortable. He took out his flute and started to play “stranded in the river” loudly for one verse before realising how much it made him thirsty and so played a different tune and softer as well.
Axle Revera - July 11, 2006 07:07 PM (GMT)
After wandering the desert until finally escaping it, Axle was able to find a small stream. There he truly discovered why he had been ostracized in the tribe. Why he had survived the desert but his adult mother had not. He was not like them. He always knew his red eyes were unique, different, but until now he did not realize that he was different. When he looked at his hands his nails were not their ussual color. They were longer and a dark crimson color like dark blood. His teeth were sharp, like daggers, and ivory white in his reflection. He lifted his head back in anger and found his shout was not human, it was deep, resounding. He had no idea what he was, and he did not discover for quite some time...
The music. It awoke Axle from his memories like a man torn from the last shred of his soul. It was painful at first to return back to the real world. A world where he was still feared, though admittingly that was his own fault. A smirk grew on his face. He was not ashamed of his reputation, though it was not his name that was whispered, mearly his handy work. Murderers, thieves, any out law. Axle was known for his signature of leaving their heads in the middle of towns, their bodies still at the site they were killed, often with demonic brands labeling their limbs and bodies.
He looked at the man, his angel wings instantly catching Axle's eyes. He did not believe in senseless killing. If he were to ever do that he would forfeit his life. Axle would never make himself an exception to his mother's words. Still, the fact that the man was an angel seemed to irritate the half demon. Perhaps his father's blood in his veins? Perhaps it was that strange feeling that the angel knew he was here. Yet, Axle's crimson eyes could clearly see cloth around the man's eyes. Interesting.
Axle walked to the cliff of the plateau, half of his bare feet hanging off. "Best not to be rude." He jumped off the edge and enjoyed the rush of wind as he plummeted down. About half way down he lifted his arms from his side, his cloak spreading out and creating resistance. He landed on a his feet on a rock that covered the desert floor. With a loud crumbling noise a black web of cracks appeared from the impact but did not destroy the stone.
Axle stood on the splintered rock watching the angel, ready to react to anything.
Kyo - July 12, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
Kyo Awoke from his thoughts and a half sleep as a thud sounded close by. Darting up he snatched up both of his swords in a scope and hid behind the buildings wall. Tying his weapons around him he stepped out of the buildings cover. He was not wearing his armour or the material that kept his Robe so it would disturb his fighting, and to make it worse he had untied his hair which now blew against the warm breeze adding to the movement he made going around the corner. Drawing his sword once around the corner he noticed it was the same source of evil he had been tracking. But how could he know this? It didn’t really make any sense to him at all, except that this might be important being different than the rest.
The light from the sun reflected along his blade as he held it in one hand across him and holding the other toward to where the noise came from preparing to fire shooting star at it. “Who are you?!” then adding louder, “and what are you?!” as his thoughts re-entered his mind. If the monster was humanoid he wanted to find out why he was different about his evil, yet something from the past ached at him, as if hinting a familiarity of the difference but what? He moved a bit closer arm still level. His were still out but only partially, and there gleamed again in the hot sunlight.
(sorry about it being small its all I could put and sorry if I’m ruining anything :/ )

(Don't worry about it. I am not one that complains about posts. ^_^ )
Seeing the angel drew his weapons Axle did not hesitate to do the same. His katana held at his side. In an instant he could dash towards the man and in a quick attack disable him, but something told him that the weapons were mearly for appearances at the moment. Still, Axle intended to more work for his mother. This visit to the desert town was simply closing up old wounds. He did not intend to find someone else here. Still, this man held Axle's interest, something was... different about him.
"My name is Axle. My mother was an incredible person who had her body dishonored by a demon, and I am her child. So there for, I am a half demon." The last of his words seemed distasteful, as if laced with poison. "And I have carried on my mother's vision of the world for almost two hundred years. Perhaps, with out knowing it, you have heard of my deeds. I am known as a ghost in some places, the cause of countless deaths of killers, rapists, and other criminals."
Axle's eyes gleamed red in the desert sun, proud of his work.
Kyo - July 12, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
Kyo heard the blade drawn by the other but did nothing just as he did. "My name is Axle. My mother was an incredible person who had her body dishonoured by a demon, and I am her child. So there for, I am a half demon." The first thing he had heard from him brought a bit of hope in Kyo along with the hate for his Demon origins, so we have something in common or is it just the rape that makes him hate them all or for that matter does he hate them all? "And I have carried on my mother's vision of the world for almost two hundred years. Perhaps, with out knowing it, you have heard of my deeds. I am known as a ghost in some places, the cause of countless deaths of killers, rapists, and other criminals." The answer was yes he had heard of a tale of a murder among murders, and it was suspected that there was more then a few of them across Arda due to the amount of known killers and rapists found dead.
Noting the bit about visions he lowered his sword and then sheafs it. Smiling he said, "I guess I can trust you. Are you willing to tell me about your mother’s vision that you mentioned?" This was odd, being friendly to a demon yet it felt as if it was the right thing to do plus Kyo found it easy. Sitting down on a half ruined wall which wobbled a bit he sat to listen, combing his hair. It’s too hot. This comment in his head was sparked by another warm breeze.
Axle Revera - July 12, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
Seeing the man put his sword away Axle cautiously did the same. He knew angels were beings of light but that did not always mean they were lawful. He always was careful when dealing with strangers and was not one to trust quickly. The first few moments of this encounter would be tense, but Axle wasn't getting a sense of betrayal from this man. Still, something in his blood made his muscles tight, and his palms sweaty. Like a natural hatred was flowing through his blood. He placed it in the back of his mind. As far as he knew, this man was not a criminal.
The man's curiosity was unexpected, and Axle took another moment to examine him. In the face of a dangerous man like Axle and he combs his hair? Trusting indeed. "She was a very strong woman, who put her own life before my own. She always taught me that every action has a reaction. And that, every crime deserved punishment. But, a corpse can not exact revenge, so I make it my duty to do that for them. Take this village for example," Axle motioned his arms to the ruins, "In their fear of what I am, and in the distrust they held in my mother for raising me, they exiled us. Because of that, my mother died in the desert. When I was stronger I came back to exact revenge..."
Axle looked at a skull crushed beneath a particularly large rock that had once been an obelisk. The skull was completely covered in crude markings obviously made by claws of some sort. Axle looked down at his nails that were human at the moment. A smirk of pride came across his face remembering the look of pain on the tribal elder's face as the life was choked from him by Axle's very hand. And with the other, his nails cut beneath hair in skin with a burning smell, engraving in an ancient text, words Axle held sacred.
'For every sin, their is vengeance.'
Kyo - July 15, 2006 05:05 PM (GMT)
The word were bitter in Kyo’s ears what about all of the people that had no say, like the children and any others. Hot wind blew against his face coming from behind Axle. The wind blew his hair back again and dust moved along his skin.
Somewhere in the sky a bird called again screaming as it looked for forage on the barren land.
"Did you kill all of them? Even the ones that had nothing to do with your exile? To do with your revenge?!” the last he snarled at Axle, and drew Itka his samurai sword which he held with both hands to the ground and the left, ready to bring up again.
He stood waiting for the reply. He admired Axle for killing murderers and rapists but for such an act as this, it mad Kyo angry. In his position he might even have done the same thing as the village if there was a risk of the babe growing up and killing people, just as it is now. He suddenly felt a surge of his own hate for demons well up inside him but he managed to stop himself charging head on but he did grip his sword tighter.
((sorry again not really with it today .. you appling for ARper yet?))
Axle Revera - July 15, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
(It's just a title, I suppose I should apply. I use to be such an awesome rper but I have lost a lot of my tallent. I hope it comes back. This board is just awesome for my inspiration.)
Axle took the question on flinching. The blade the man drew meant nothing to him if he wasn't willing to strike. And with the distance between him Axle had confidence that he could draw his blade before he was in serious danger of losing a life. "The only life I took in revenge was that of the tribal leader, the same that exiled me and my mother. Only he was decapitated and only his corpse bears the marks of his sins. Did others die?" He let the words hang in the air, he let them blend with the arid wind, and like the sand let it settle into any thoughts it could.
"Yes. But they were not killed in revenge, only self defence. Their corpses have no ill markings. I am not sure of what happened after I left. It is possible that they left this place but it is evident by these ruins and the appearance of the corpses that they did not survive as a village." Axle decided that he had been doing enough talking. He drew his katana and raised it so that it pointed level with the man's chest. The act was not threatening at all, not that the man could see it.
"I have given you my name, past, and intentions but I know nothing of you. Care to explain yourself as well?"
