Title: Shadows in the Water
Description: [P] Meera [P]

The sun was beginning to set over the horizon, sending streams of red light into the sky. Merging together, the rays created a blur of blood above Viashineo, mized with clouds. Winds were beginning to pick up, stirring the sorcerer from his position.
Seeking social independence, Victus had traveled to Lake Aelin, the only place that he adored. It had been a while since he last visited the lake, and it was then, that he was still human. But now, his presence at the lake was different, and if it were human, the lake would not know or love him back. He fret at the thought, wishing he could stay, and ignore the outside world for only a while. But, it was his nature to go on, to continue his wandering. His adventures were worth the danger and loneliness, but at least the lake was a familiar sight, a memory worth holding on to.
It was then that the view of how the lake had looked long ago, as it was when he last took this position on the shore. He stood on top of a rock, not far from where the water flowed to land, only one or two hops. He clung on to his cloak, leaving his head head exposed. Gusts of wind made the slack of his over-sized cloak flow and ripple in the opposite direction, but Viashineo assured himself he had a tight grip.
Victus had thought that the images and memories of bloodshed and death had retreated into the back of his mind, when they had not. It did not take long for the bloody, and maybe entertaining, memories to surface and haunt his thoughts again. Those, that he now creates as a lich.
In a hastey action, Viashineo realeased his grip on his cloak, and pulled it over him. When the rest of the cloth was pulled above his head, the sorcerer threw it behind him, letting the wind carry it to shore. He now stood out on the water, with his misty and blue skin exposed to the environment. His head tilted down as his eyes began observing the vessel for his conscious.
"What have you become?" Viashineo asked himself, experiencing a moment he was not proud of. But it was because of that expression that his mood began to falter, and the lake was pushed to the back of his mind.
Viashineo Victus was back.
Meera - July 9, 2006 11:41 AM (GMT)
Silence, Tranquility, Purity.
It was perfect. The placid lake offered the best setting for a traveler new to these parts. A new traveler didn't have to make immediete social contact. They could, instead, stay here for a bit getting used to the terrain and weather conditions. Though this lake could only suffice a bit of information for this entire land, it was one peice of the immense puzzle that Arda created. It would take much time to learn about every single place in this land, but eventually a traveler would get it. Eventually, the newcomer would have memories and thoughts that were yanked back into existance from treading in a certain spot again. For now, it was pure, it was a blank slate.
The only sounds that focused around where Meera walked were the soft pops of twigs and the occaisional sigh of her breath passing by her lips. She hadn't quite made it to the lake yet, but that was her goal. Upon lifting her head up, Meera could just barely see the beckoning waters before her. A tight lip smile marked her appreciation for being close. Meera's pace then began to pick up a bit. She leapt over fallen logs with the grace and ease that only a constant traveler could exetert. Bushes and small saplings in the way, were simply kicked aside as Meera strode quickly throught the forest. Her quick pace was rewarded as she kicked away the last bit of bush before the lake. Meera paused for a moment. She stepped forwards and let the thick bush pop back into place with a whack, then simply gazed back at the azure waters with her own deep blue eyes. For a moment, she was so distracted by the water that she did not notice the man standing out on the rocks. Eventually though, she noticed him out of the corner of her eye.
Immedietly, the fighter within her took over. Her muscles tensed in readiness while her hands slowly raised up, hovering beside her ribcage. Meera's mind told her that there was no immediete threat in the man, for he hadn't noticed them yet. Still, she was ready though. Being taken by surprise was not a mistake taken lightly with Meera. Shaking out her blonde mane for a second, she first freed all the little twigs and bunches of dirt that she had caught. Then, in preperation, she tied it together with a leather strip she kept in her pocket. If there was going to be some fighting, she would be ready. It wasn't like Meera at all to be caused to make a stupid mistake just because her hair was in her face. Fully prepared now, she walked slowly and stiffly towards the man on the rocks. Her eyes had taken on a stern appearance, and there was no mistaking the fact that she wasn't worried about death. She wasn't worried wether he killed her, or she killed him. It did not matter to her either way. Meera had long ago came to the conclusion that she really had nothing to live for. She would fight, for her life sometimes, but dying did not worry her. Her life was to fight. Standing on the shore not too far away from the man, Meera crossed her arms over her chest then waited. Her foot stayed still on the ground, ready to make a sudden move, while Meera's eyes stayed on the man.

The sorcerer looked out over the water, and into the horizon. It would turn night soon, but it was what he preferred. With the dark came a world of shadows and chills, an environemnt that Viashineo loved to be in, when he did his best work. The color of the water began to darken, turning from a bright blue, to darker tone, maker it harder to see into the water.
Behind him, the moons beams began to find their way over the earth, and to his position. As Viashineo looked up, the clouds begin to brighten, revealing their ghostly white transparancy.
However, the sight was beginning to bore him, as the environment enthralled him most when it was lit up by the fires of the sun. As he thought of them, the fires within him begin to burn as well, and he felt an itch within his body to have some fun, to kill.
While he had not directly participated, an event that took a long while ago ran through his mind. The screma sof civialians, and the fires that were once their homes. All of these memories were sparked by one single thought.
Coming to, the sorcerer turned around on the rock, sliding his feet, and then leaped off, landing safely back on shore. His feet sunk into the moistened sand, putitng pressure on his feet, but he easily lifted them and strode over to his cloak. The wind had blown it off from where it had originally landed, but most of the gusts were weak, so it was not far off. Viashineo bent over and grabbed his possession, throwing it back over his shoulders and over his body. However, he left the hood down so he could easily look around. Besides, noone was around to see him, at least, that is what he thought at first.
As Victus turned, to walk around the other end of the shore, a figure appeared in the distance. By the looks of it, if the object was human, it was kneeling or sitting down. He tried to focus his eyes, looking through the shadows, but he still could not make it out.
"A beautiful night, is it not?" he shouted, but not too loud, for the object was not as far away as he thought.
