One of my affiliates, known here as Elvanshae, has kindly offered to make us a new banner! :D I'm cruising around with the current version, our first draft. There will be some tweaking done with the size and color, but you all have a sweet new banner to look forward to! ^_^

I really like this one more than the last Arda banner. That one looked a bit cheesy. This one pwns all...

*drools more* Love the opacity effects. And the color combinations and variations--they fit the background of the site. And the images. Yep, 'tis a great banner! :)

after about an hour of tweaking for the heck of it... lol I came up with this :blink:


however after being told that the other half was a bit rebellious to the color scheme, these other two were born :lol:

Meh... I preffered the old one, simply because I like things to stay the same. I'd gotten used to that one and now having a new one makes me feel confused.

Well before I say my opinion I would like to say that the artist did a good job, and that it was great of them to make us a new banner and I like it but I would have to be blunt and agree with Dengar that I prefer the old one. But its very nice and I think I will get used to it.

I kinda liked the old one, too (this is all four of my forms speaking, btw O.o; ugh...horrible keeping track of'em all...). This one just looks...well...weird...and who's that guy supposed to be anyway? (or girl, to be safe)

Umm, I don't mean to sound mean, but the old one was a little childish... My little niece would have loved it. The new one is more mature, if anything in a fantasy world can be called that.

Anywho, that being said, I don't suppose there is any chance of getting a new background? This one kind of scares me.... like a grown man in the womb

Yeah, it freaks me out too. A different one with the same style, minus the creepy man-bubbles, was posted in another of Loth's forums (Learn To Count) and I loved it. o.o

No offense to the designer and all, but the background doesn't really give good first impressions I think...

It didn't for me at least, but that's just me..In my opinion it makes the site look amateurish. And seeing how obsidian is such an awesome designer why not see what he makes and decided later? Those repeating images in the background are really sometimes annoying..

lol I'd need a go signal from Loth first as well as on what theme particularly interests her. Some repeating images aren't that bad... I think I even have one that could be repeated of a nice celtic cross that would make a sweet background but I'm not sure how dark you guys want the site to look :D

I think the background should stay the same, as it is completely unique compared to any other invisionfree skin I've ever seen. It has a good balance between bright colours and dark ones, and I personally LOVE that. I don't think making the whole board dark will do anyone any favours as it normally makes everything a lot harder to see and sometimes even has a negative look to it.

The brighter the better, but in this case it is fine how it is :yes:

Don't worry, I won't be changing the background, despite those that don't like it :D
