Title: Devil Within
Description: ~open~

Tetra Hikaru - July 3, 2006 02:14 PM (GMT)
Looking onto the entrance of The Village of Estolad was a young man, no older than twenty three. He was about five foot nine inches tall and continued to look onto the entrance. The man wore a pair of dark boots that went up to just below his knees. This man however seemed a little different. He had an aqua pendant hanging around his neck and a very long, but torn and the bottom, red cloak. His cloak had a gold pattern on the back of it spreading at the way down the mans back. As the wind began to softly blow it moved the mans medium lenghted dark brown hair back a little. This showed a scar he had on his left cheek, and also showed his dark brown eyes that still seemed fixed on the town entrance.

The man then began to slowly walk into the town, he seemed to have two long weapons with him. In his left hand was a large pole with a blade on one end, in total it seemed to be about six feet long including the blade. The man had named this weapon Scarlet Thunder, while in his right hand lay a weapon that had been reforged from a Unicorn Spear. It was now just a very long pole put each end was made of the same metal as the Unicorn Spear, he had called this weapon the Kali - Yuga.

With both these weapons at his side some of the people within the town already knew the name of this man. He was Tetra Hikaru, the son of Jin Hikaru. Jin Hikaru had been a loyal sever to the Godded Of Life Lothlómendil herself. He had been killed almost twenty years ago now and Tetra had reforged his father Unicorn Spear into the Kali - Yuga in order to make his memory live on. Now twenty three years of age Tetra also served Lothlómendil in the fight against the darkness of Arda. Although deep within Tetra lay his own dark side, you see Tetra was half demon and was not in full control of his demonic half.

Because of this, Tetra never stayed near people he cared about for very long, in fear of his demon half taking control and hurting them. He had been a wanderer for a while now... slowly getting more and more control over his demonic counterpart. Through his travels he had also become a master of all Polearms wepons such as Staves, Spears etc.

Now in the center of the small town he began to look from side to side, seeing if he knew anybody in town and also looking for a place to stay for the night. Tetra let out a small sigh as he closed his eyes. Thats when the memories of the guild known as The Crimson Marauders came back to him, he remembered how they had all treated him like family.... but most of all... he remembered Nami, they had gotten on rather well... and he had even grown deep feeling for her. But thats why he left in the middle of the night.... he feared that somewhere down the line his demonic half would have hurt Nami, and the rest of the Crimson Marauders. So Tetra would not go back to them until he could control his demon power.

He was soon snapped out of his thoughts however when he felt something moving in the darkness. You see it was rather late at night and the entire town was now covered in a thick darkness. Tetra then said the word "Infravision" After saying this he began to look aroundonce more as this spell let him see in little to know light. He then seen something move quickly again and awaited for it to show itself before he would attack incase they meant no harm.

Deenkraig Greotha - July 3, 2006 05:12 PM (GMT)
Deeni was in his familiar, eight legged lizard form. He was currently perched on a tree branch, just outside the walls of Estoled. Reptilian nostrils sniffed the air, followed by a tongue that flicked out to get a better scent of what was going on.

With a sudden great movement, Deeni leapt from the tree and over the wall of the city. In midair, he appeared an odd sight: seemingly a flying lizard with eight flailing arms. When the reptilian landed, he bent his eight legs and easily absorbed the force of the landing. The Greot easily recoverd, then began to amble along the dark city streets, not going anywhere in particular, but simply enjoying the cool night. Perhaps he could find another bar to go to...although...the last memory of a bar wasn't a pleasant one. The reptile began to lapse into his own thoughts as he trotted down the cobblestone path, swinging his head left and right as he walked.

Out of the corner of his eye, Deeni saw a humanoid figure that seemed to be looking at him. He seemed tense, as though ready to strike the Greot at any moment. After eyeing the two polearms the other was holding, Deeni was definite to be careful not to start a fight.

“Greeting, friend,” he called out, while waving a scaled claw. “What brings you out here?”

Umbra - July 3, 2006 05:36 PM (GMT)
Umbra walked quietly through Estolad. The night was fairly dark, her long black cloak could barely be seen in the dark night. It flowed down her back, its hood covered her head. Her Amythist colored eyes searched the Villiage for any signs of danger. The dark city stood quiet and still. No one stirred. A breeze blew and it moved her coat revealing her purple shirt and black pants. Around her middle was a belt that held her dagger ready to be used at any time.

It was dark and she really was not that tired, so she decided to do a little training excersize. She picked a spot that was a fair distance from her. She noticed all the obsticals that she would have to dodge. "Ready, Set. GO!" she said to herself in her mind. She burst into a run, her shoes hit the ground silently as she ran. She ducked under a pole that held a flag, and jumped over a fruit cart. She did a flip and continued to run, her endurance helped her move quickly and not get tired. She did a leap up and landed crossing the mark.

She smiled as she gave a slight gasp for breath, her heart pounded heavily. A feeling that gave her comfort. She sighed and then her ears perked up. "Infravision" she heard. She looked around. Someone was using an infravision spell. She followed a scent she had noticed. She turned the corner and noticed a man with two weapons. "Can I help you?" she asked. She narrowed her eyes, wondering if he was worth a fight she might get.

Tetra Hikaru - July 3, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
Tetra first seen a lizard type person, but it had eight legs... the lizard waved to Tetra as it said “What brings you out here?” He had also called Tetra friend which was something Tetra had always feared to become with most. He looked at the lizard and then said "Im passing through.. and was looking for a place to stay for the night. Em.. im sorry for asking... but well... what race are you may i ask... and em... may i also ask your name." Tetra then slowly began to lower his weapons as he walked over to this new "Person" .

This was soon changed however when Tetra heard another voice, female this time, the new voice said "Can I help you?" Hearing these words Tetra quickly turned round to face her, his weapons once again ready for an attack if need be. But as this happened he began to feel a strong pain in his heart... his demonic half was trying to break free once more. Tetra began to grit his teeth together and say through them "No... not again.... i wont lose control..." His left eye then turned a deep red as the demon began to show himself.

After a few moments the pain began to die away and Tetra shook his head, his eye now back to its dark brown color as he once again glanced in the direction of the woman. Once slightly looking away from her Tetra said to both the woman and the lizard being "What is this... some kind of ambush... i didnt want to fight tonight, but i will defend myself from your attacks if needed...." The grip Tetra had upon Scarlet Thunder and Kail - Yuga then tightened after these words passed his lips.... he continued to look from the lizard being to the woman and back again awaiting a reply from either... or a reaction he would need to defend against.

Umbra - July 3, 2006 06:21 PM (GMT)
Umbra watched as one of the mans eyes turned red. She recongized the look. The same happened to her when she was young. She knew what he was. "A half demon" she whispered to herself. She knew what was happening, the two sides were not insinc with eachother. When she was young, her eyes would always be a dark purple when she was angry. She had a hard time controling her demon half. But she learned how to gain control over it. "No... not again.... i wont lose control..." he had said. Her hand, hidden by her cloak moved slowly to her dagger, she knew from first hand, herself, how dangerous an angry demon half could be. But soon he regained control and returned to his human half. She dropped her hand. "What is this... some kind of ambush... i didnt want to fight tonight, but i will defend myself from your attacks if needed...." he said.

'Who does this guy think he is kidding, ambush? I never met the lizard in my life. And 'DEFEND'? He can barely control the demon in him. Why would he try to defend himself against me when he cant handle his own problems?' she wondered. She sook her head and leaned against a building. She put her hands behind her head, her cloak hood had come off revealing her raven colored hair that flowed down to a few inches under her shoulders. "A half-demon who cannot control his demonic side is trying to defend himself against a lizard-being and a half-demon. Not gonna happen. But, you do not need to worry yourself. I do not attack for sport. That is what training is for. And as for you defending against me? I would easily out-distance you. That comes from controling your halves and using them at the same time. Something it seems you have yet to learn." she said with a smile. She thought by the way he was acting, he had much to learn about his demonic side.

Sakura - July 3, 2006 06:42 PM (GMT)
Raven walked silnetly through the streets, she had found this village alirught and was finally with proper civilisation, no more mountains, no more plains, if she could she could stay here if she wanted, but how would that help her though. She needed to find her memories and all she had was that she had a father, alive or dead she didn't know, she was attacked, and a little girl with her mother. She draged herself out of her thoughts, trying to concerntrate on the here and now.
But where do I go from here? What should I do, I'm too young to go to an inn by myself

For a while she walked about lost in her own thoughts about her predicament, then she heard footstepes and the beating of wings, two people were coming closer towards her from either side, for a second she panicked, then tow silver wings unfolded from her back and she flew up into the air landibg with a slight thud on the roof of a one storey builing, she shook herself and put her wings away, she felt extremely nervous and frost spread from her hands where she had placed them to break her fall, she immediatly got up staring down at the ice on the roof. That was going to look very out of place. She heard the footsteps stop and the winged creature land.

"Infravision"
she heard a voice mutter, then another louder voice.
“Greeting, friend, What brings you out here?”
this voice sounded strange though.
"Im passing through."
the man replied "and was looking for a place to stay for the night. Em.. im sorry for asking... but well... what race are you may i ask... and em... may i also ask your name."
Then another voice, this place was getting crowded, Raven sighed.

"Can I help you?"

Then the man began to panik slightly.

"No... not again.... i wont lose control..."

Raven almost panicked herself but the man soon calmed down.

"What is this... some kind of ambush... i didnt want to fight tonight, but i will defend myself from your attacks if needed...."

Raven thought this was getting out of hand, the man was taking this far too harshely. But if she dropped down that would convince him further of ambush, Raven crept to the rear of the building and dropped down walking into the place where the 3 people were on the ground and looking at them all.

Something it seems you have yet to learn."
Raven walked out looking from one figure to the other, she contained a gasp at the odd lizard creature before her.

"If you don't mind, I wouldn't jump to conclusions"
she said "that's how wars start, I'm not here to try and hurt you, why would I, why would anybody, I've never seen you before in my life"
But I might have, what if I'd forgotten him like everything else

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?"

Deenkraig Greotha - July 3, 2006 06:47 PM (GMT)
Deeni raised an eyebrow (if that’s even possible for a lizard to do) and side glanced at Umbra. Why the man seemed so suspicious of them, the Greot didn’t know. When he heard Umbra begin talking to him, about controlling demons and such, Deeni instantly caught on to what was going on.

“A half demon,” he remarked to Umbra. “What an acute observation.”

That’s when another being walked into his line of sight. Deeni sighed. “We seem to be getting quite a crowd now. Be careful, that one apparently thinks we’re out to get him.” He flicked his tounge outward, looking annoyed.

“Well, my name is Deenkraig Greotha, if anyone cares.”

Then he turned to Raven and grinned, noticing that she had gasped when she had seen him. "Yes, aren't I such an attractive green color?"

Tetra Hikaru - July 3, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
Tetra hearing the words of everyone let out a sigh and placed both Scarlet Thunder and Kail - Yuga onto his back. After doing this he looked at the now three people and said "I am sorry... i didnt mean to snap like that, its just everyone i have met before wants to battle... " He then looked towards Umbra and said "And i do know alot about my demon half... i can gain control over it, but sometimes it gets free and its not good... i lost my family as a result." Tetra eyes then met the ground as he said "I want to, no, i need to learn how to fully control it thought." After saying this he raised his gaze onto the new young girl that had came upon them.

Tetra had a light smile on his face as he replied back to her "My name is Tetra Hikaru, a half demon as you may have heard... " Suddently his line of vision was back on Deeni as he said "Yes, aren't I such an attractive green color?" With this said Tetra began to let out a small laugh, and the smile on his face then became full. Sure he had only met Deeni but already he seemed like well.. a fun character to say the least.

Finally stopping his laughter he looked at the other and said "Well... i will say sorry to all for the way i acted before... and i hope i dont turn into my demonic form... you all seem like well, interesting people shall we shall.. i would hate to have to battle you and not be able to stop my actions..." Tetra then moved his neck to the side and got it crack making him feel a little more... comfortable as he awaited the replies from the others.

Umbra - July 3, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Umbra looked as a young girl walked up to them, she seemed lost and alone."If you don't mind, I wouldn't jump to conclusions that's how wars start, I'm not here to try and hurt you, why would I, why would anybody, I've never seen you before in my life" she had said. 'Glad to see SOMEONE here has half a brain.' she thought. She listened as she asked for peoples names.“A half demon, what an acute observation.” Deenkraig said.

She smiled. "Takes one to know one as they say. But as far as names are conserned. I am Umbra. A half-demon as well. It is a pleasure meeting you all. she said smiling. The man smiled at the comment made by Deenkraig. She held back a giggle. She never liked her laugh, it reminded her too much of her father... That was a story best left forgotten."Well... i will say sorry to all for the way i acted before... and i hope i dont turn into my demonic form... you all seem like well, interesting people shall we shall.. i would hate to have to battle you and not be able to stop my actions..." Umbra walked up and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I too had the same problem once in my life. But I gained control. You need only to do the same, I can help if you wish." she said. She then turned to the others. "But if you pardon my saying it is foolish to stand out here in the dark, I believe we should go to the inn before continuing this conversation further."

Deenkraig Greotha - July 3, 2006 09:30 PM (GMT)
The reptile seemed pleased that his comment had broken the tension, and he visibly relaxed as well. The Greot flicked his tail and listened to what the others had to say.

"But if you pardon my saying it is foolish to stand out here in the dark, I believe we should go to the inn before continuing this conversation further."

Deeni cocked his head as he considered what Umbra had said. “Well, I’ve never been one to pass up a trip to a tavern, so I suppose I’m inclined to agree, Umbra,” he replied, glancing at the woman with an amused expression. “Although this whole conversation seems to be between you and Tetra than that one and me,” Deeni added, jerking his head toward Raven.

Sakura - July 4, 2006 06:27 AM (GMT)
“We seem to be getting quite a crowd now. Be careful, that one apparently thinks we’re out to get him.”
“Well, my name is Deenkraig Greotha, if anyone cares.”

The lizard looked at Raven in reaction to her gasp of astonishment.
"Yes, aren't I such an attractive green color?"

"Um...If you say so yes I suppose"
Raven replied.
The man who had been the source of all the talking began to apologise for his actions.

"I am sorry... i didnt mean to snap like that, its just everyone i have met before wants to battle... And i do know alot about my demon half... i can gain control over it, but sometimes it gets free and its not good... i lost my family as a result. I want to, no, i need to learn how to fully control it thought."

Raven then felt extremely sorry for the man, half demons weren't the most better off of people, often shunned by both bretherin.

"My name is Tetra Hikaru, a half demon as you may have heard... "
"Well... i will say sorry to all for the way i acted before... and i hope i dont turn into my demonic form... you all seem like well, interesting people shall we shall.. i would hate to have to battle you and not be able to stop my actions..."

"Well, glad that's settled down"
Raven said smiling.
"I too had the same problem once in my life. But I gained control. You need only to do the same, I can help if you wish."
the one called Umbra said"But if you pardon my saying it is foolish to stand out here in the dark, I believe we should go to the inn before continuing this conversation further."
A slight ppang of nervousness ran over Raven, that was exactly what she had been not doing for the past half hour, or if you count in long terms, past 5 days. She didn't feel like going into a place where people were laughing at their own stupid jokes or making themselves mad with alchahol, the whole idea made her shudder, or was that the cold.

“Well, I’ve never been one to pass up a trip to a tavern, so I suppose I’m inclined to agree, Umbra,”
replied the lizard “Although this whole conversation seems to be between you and Tetra than that one and me,”
Ravend felt slightly taken aback by bieng called 'that one', it made her feel like an object left on a dusty shelf somewhere, and she didn't like it one bit. She looked about to fill in time at the other 3, the lizard was really beginning to unnerve her somehow.

Deenkraig Greotha - July 4, 2006 01:45 PM (GMT)
The chilled evening air blew in and Deeni shook it off. He would rather be a thick-haired mammal at times like these. Although, he still enjoyed this form because…it was his first form…and the eight legs appealed to him.

Deeni seemed to notice Raven’s discomfort at his comment and he eyed her, looking annoyed.

“Well, if you don’t want me to refer to you as ‘that one’, then why don’t you tell us your name?” he said with a gleam in his eye.

Bah…humanoids…they frighten so easily. She obviously hasn’t seen much in her life.

Sakura - July 6, 2006 06:05 PM (GMT)
Great thought Ravenwhy did he have to ask me that? Why?
The sad truth was, Raven didn't remember her own name, in fact she barely remembered anything from her past life at all, not even birthdays, now that was something nobody wants to forget. It wasn't fair for somebody to rudely ask her name without knowing her condition and she was stuck at what to say.

"Erm..."
she stuttered "I...I can't remember, there I said it, happy now?"
She leaned against the wall fuming silently to herself, this wasn't fair. She couldn't even remember her own name, and anybody who could have possibly told her was dead. She glanced up at the rude lizard, it was beginning to get on her nerves. She strained her memory for any kind of name she could use, nothing, not even a hint, she cursed silently. Unable to remember your own name was probably the most unfair thing in the universe. Speaking of which, Raven looked up at the stars up ahead twinkling at her, they didn't have any memory to lose, nobody else here, or maybe even in this whole village still had their memories completely intact, it just wasn't fair. Fuming silently Raven turned her attention back to reality, her loss of memory had just hit its all time low, she couldn't remember her own name infront of 3 people who would demand the use of it. She sighed to herself ignoring a cold breeze that was starting.

((OMG, that's well short for me))

Deenkraig Greotha - July 15, 2006 07:35 PM (GMT)
Deeni raised a scaly eyebrow with a look of indifference. "You don't need to get so upset. Do you expect everyone to be telepathic and read your mind that you can't remember your name? Be realistic." The Greot was getting slightly annoyed, although he was used to people distrusting him. "I don't know about you people, but I'm heading over to that tavern over there." Flicking his forked tounge and his tail, the shifter made his way toward the tavern, expecting a nice mug of something...oh...stimulating.
