Title: The emptyness I call my heart
Description: Open to anyone

Umbra - June 30, 2006 04:23 PM (GMT)
Umbra walked along the lake shore. The smell of salt in the air gave her little comfort. She had run off from her lupine friend who probably was following her scent and comming after her, it was not like her to do this but she wanted... no, needed to be alone with her thoughts. She felt so hurt inside, she looked up at the sky turning to night, it was dark but neither the stars nor the moon were out tonight. "The sky looks as empty as I feel." she said to herself as she fell backwards and spread her arms out on the soft grass below her head. A gentle breeze flew by and it rustled the cattails around the lake.

She had been feelilng strange, not that she was sick more like empty. She felt something was missing, as if there was a hole in her heart, or something like that. She gave a sigh as she waited. It would not be long before Migan came and found her asking her why she ran off. She heard a wolf in the distance and saw bats flying above her.

She ran her hand over a recent scar she recieved on her left arm. It was small and light but it was still there, she had many scars most no one could see, few were actually on her skin. Most scars were on her heart. She closed her eyes for a moment, and heard footsteps. 'That is most likely Migan here to find me.' she sat up and leaned on her elbows looking for the maker of the footsteps.

Walking along on his own, once again lost in his own perhaps obsessive thoughts, Darkfire this time found himself near Lake Aelin, having ended up last time this had happened in Lomedor. Well, at least this place wasn't crowded with a bunch of annoying people...maybe he'd even be able to get some peace and quiet, sort through everything in his head finally...actually take a break from everything for once in his existence.

Finding it somewhat difficult to see in this starless, moonless, dark night, even with his vulpine eyes, the red fox-boy nonetheless wandered on toward the lake, not bothering to be quiet...he wasn't as subtle as his former counterpart could be, and liked to be noticed. Speaking of noticing someone...glancing over, he spotted the person he'd caught the faint scent from, sitting there a short ways away by the edge of the lake. Someone from the Children of Chaos, he believed, which could certainly make things interesting.

"Hm...you're one of the Children of Chaos, right?" he asked, just to make sure...he didn't want to have a wrong impression, or it would spoil things.

Umbra - July 1, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
Umbra looked around and noticed a vulpine. It was obviously not Migan, but if things got tough she could handle it if needed. She turned her head and watched him come closer she got out her lantern and lit it, placing it in between them. She gave an inner sigh, wondering when today ended and tomorrow began.

He looked at her as if he recognized her from somewhere. "Hm...you're one of the Children of Chaos, right?" he had asked her. She gave a nod. "Yes that is correct I am a member of the Children of Chaos." she answered, 'Hmm. I have never seen him before and yet he knows I am a member of the Chaos Guild. What could this mean?' she wondered. "First meetings warrent introductions. I am Umbra. What may I call you by?" she asked.

Darkfire - July 2, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
"Yes that is correct I am a member of the Children of Chaos," the girl answered. So he didn't have the wrong impression after all...not that he much doubted that he would, but there was always that possibility. "First meetings warrent introductions. I am Umbra. What may I call you by?" she continued. Excellent...a chance to spread his name through one of the other members. With any luck, their leader would notice it, and know that he was around on his own, away from his pathetic old light half.

"Name's Darkfire, a name I'm sure your leader, Tithdaeron, knows well enough...after all, we have met once or twice," he answered, smirking lightly. And now...to see what this Child of Chaos would do with such information, how they'd react.

Umbra - July 2, 2006 04:05 PM (GMT)
"Name's Darkfire, a name I'm sure your leader, Tithdaeron, knows well enough...after all, we have met once or twice," was the answer given to her by the being. She cocked her head to the side and stared at him for a moment. 'Hmmm, So this Darkfire knows Tithdaeron? Interesting. Well, he is not from the Syndicate, so maybe there is something else? Well, I have no reason to call him an enemy, nor do I have an opprotuneity to call him a friend. So for now, lets leave it at that, not enemies nor friends.' she thought then turned around fully and sat cross legged in front of him.

She pointed to the space in front of her and the lantern, "Why don't you have a seat, unless you wish to stand. Either way is fine by me." she said picking her words carefully as she did when she was meeting someone. The feelings she got from him were not bad but more of dangerous. Like he could do major damage if he wished. But just because Tithdaeron has problems with some people does not automaticly say she should as well. They were both chaotic at times, yes, but they still were two completely different people.

Darkfire - July 2, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
"Why don't you have a seat, unless you wish to stand. Either way is fine by me," the girl said after sitting cross-legged in front of him, pointing to another space by the lantern that she was near, in front of her. She hardly seemed to react to him saying that he knew Tithdaeron...she must've been thinking of something involving that, but he couldn't be sure what. Hopefully, though, she'd at least spread the word...

"I'll stand, plenty more comfortable for me," he said, trying to think of some direction to take this little meeting in. He could bring up the battle of Lomedor that was to take place shortly, and that he'd be one of those attacking...that would certainly get attention. Where the Children of Chaos would stand in that battle, he wasn't entirely sure, but he had a bad feeling that they'd be one of those defending the city, along with the Syndicate and the new Marauders...and Kai. Not thinking of anything to say at the moment through his thoughts, he simply stood there silently, glancing out to the lake absent-mindedly.

Umbra - July 2, 2006 05:01 PM (GMT)
Umbra looked up at the sky, the moon still was not out but a star was shining all alone. She thought back at Dori'ba, how there seemed to be no stars out. She looked back at the man, "I'll stand, plenty more comfortable for me," he had replied. She looked at him. He seemed surprised that she had not said anything about Tithdaeron knowing him. She really did not understand why she should. What he has done was no concern of hers unless he had made it that way.

He looked absent-mindedly at the lake and she looked in that direction as well, turning so she was able to face him and the lake as well, she again leaned back on her elbows and streached her feet out, crossing them at the ankles. The single star reflected off of the water. The cattails were blowing in the wind and the lake was rippling because of it. She gave a sigh on the inside. She really did not like it when she felt so empty, it always seemed to transfer her back to the past. She always tried to forget it, the past battles with Maximus, Shadowcaster, The Dark Sociaty. She did not feel they were worth remembering. But the thing was is that her heart felt hollow. She wanted something, she envisioned it everytime she went to sleep at night, and when she did she woke up in the morning with an even greater heart-ache. She racked her brain for something to talk about with this stranger, "So how do you know Tithdaeron? I have never seen you before, and I know you are not a member of the Chaos Guild, so how have you met?" she asked. She closed her eyes and

"So how do you know Tithdaeron? I have never seen you before, and I know you are not a member of the Chaos Guild, so how have you met?" the girl asked, after a few moments of silence, him still having been thinking of what to say, which would probably always be a problem for him. He wasn't a social type, much less the kind to bother talking to someone when he could probably just kill them.

"Quite simply, once at the Syndicate of Blades headquarters, and once at Ita's little Temple...perhaps neither in the most...ideal of circumstances," he said, recalling those two times, the former only rather faintly, because he hadn't been out for long and it was the middle of battle. Still trying to think of something to say, he grumbled to himself, and took a page out of Kai's old book of things to say in odd situations. "So why are you out here, anyway? I'd expect the Children of Chaos to be more...active," he asked, glancing over to her and away from the empty space over the water.

Umbra - July 3, 2006 04:44 PM (GMT)
"Quite simply, once at the Syndicate of Blades headquarters, and once at Ita's little Temple...perhaps neither in the most...ideal of circumstances," he replied to her question. Umbra nodded. Those battles were not the BEST ideas in the world. She had not gone, for reasons that only she knew, the same reasons she was here. She tossed her hair behind her shoulders and watched as another star appeared. 'The things I wanted, what I envision in my dreams every night.....I will never have. The things I do not want, I get on a silver platter.' she thought.

"So why are you out here, anyway? I'd expect the Children of Chaos to be more...active," he had asked her. He looked off into the distance and Umbra followed his gaze, out above the lake beyond the horizon."Many of us are. I myself....." she began getting up and picking up a rock, she tossed it in her hand. "I myself, am out here because...becauese there is still an emptyness inside of me that will not go away...or be filled." she replied flinging the rock at the water. It skipped six times before it fell into the lake.

"Many of us are. I myself....." the girl started, then began to get up, picking up a rock and tossing it out to the water, causing it to skip a few times across the surface. "I myself, am out here because...becauese there is still an emptyness inside of me that will not go away...or be filled."

An emptiness inside...he certainly knew how that felt, though he didn't at all like it. Since he'd obtained his own body, it had felt rather strange to simply be alone in it, alone basically everywhere, not at all the type to make allies or friends of any kind. Thus, in a rather vague way, he knew how she felt, not that he could be expected to care.

"Hmph...maybe companionship or something...I know that's lots of people's reasoning for such a thing. Always being alone but never wanting to be, even though relationships oftentimes don't work out for some reason or other," he said almost thoughtfully.

Umbra - July 5, 2006 04:08 PM (GMT)
Umbra looked up at the dark void the sky was. There was only two stars out and they both seemed far away. She looked out to the horizion, Isiltelpė was rising. The big bright orb rose against the dark sky. The moon seemed brighter as it rose into the sky. She smiled, the moon always seemed to give her some ray of hope... The darker the night the brighter the moon. "Hmph...maybe companionship or something...I know that's lots of people's reasoning for such a thing. Always being alone but never wanting to be, even though relationships oftentimes don't work out for some reason or other," he replied, sounding almost thoughtfull. "That is true. People are not born social, it is a trait that we learn as we grow. For some being social is easy, others, like myself, it is most difficult to find some sort of companion. But others, seem to get along fine without friends.

She thought about the people she knew. Shadow and Spyro seemed like the kind of people that would attract others to them, they were social naturally able to make friends easily. She and Malisaro were the kind who did not make friends easily. Malisaro for his curse and her...for her lack of knowledge about herself. She remembered her breif encounter with Barak. An ex-dark sociaty member. He was one of those who seemed alright if they were by themselves for the rest of their life. She felt sorry for him...he would never be able to undo the damage he had done even if he wanted. He was that terrible, that mercyless, that evil.

Darkfire - July 6, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
( *blink* Templar of Pandora? That's a new one...)

"That is true. People are not born social, it is a trait that we learn as we grow. For some being social is easy, others, like myself, it is most difficult to find some sort of companion. But others, seem to get along fine without friends," the girl said. Well, he certainly fit the last description...he was independent, not needing or desiring anyone around, except perhaps as the next victim of his own sadistic evil. But as for Umbra, she seemed to want some sort of friends or something of the like, something that he knew little about except what bits he remembered from Kai's overall memories and personality.

"Heh...one could almost think you were talking about me with that last one...and maybe Malisaro, he seems pretty anti-social himself from the few times that I've seen him. Most everyone else doesn't seem to want to be alone...they seem to want to surround themselves with people that they can call friends or whatever else, something I've never really understood or cared to," he said, shrugging to himself. True, he'd had a few...allies, so to speak, over the years...but he'd never known what friendship was actually like.

Umbra - July 11, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Umbra gave a shrug at the comment, "Heh...one could almost think you were talking about me with that last one...and maybe Malisaro, he seems pretty anti-social himself from the few times that I've seen him. Most everyone else doesn't seem to want to be alone...they seem to want to surround themselves with people that they can call friends or whatever else, something I've never really understood or cared to," she knew what he meant about Malisaro. "Malisaro is different. There are many things about him most people are not meant to understand. He is like holding sand in the palm of your hand. The tighter the grip the more runs through your fingers. she said picking up some sand and clenching it tightly untill the sand fell quickly through her hand.

"He is one you must give time to. If not then you will truely miss the light that he has inside without knowing he has. This is what brings me hope when I am around him. It is just something natural that he does not see in himself. she finished letting the last of the sand fall to the ground.

Listening to her words, and watching as she gave a little visual presentation, he raised a brow slightly in moderate curiosity and interest. So she, a member of the Children of Chaos, was looking for light in someone? That was certainly...strange, though if she tried to look for any light in him, or for that matter if anyone did, they'd find only pure darkness, that which he was born out of. All the light he'd ever possibly had was with Kai, his old light half, and no longer anything that concerned him.

"Well, I myself will admit that I have seen some semblance of light in him in the two times that I've seen him...but I find it rather strange that one in the Children of Chaos would look for the light in another person. Of course, I'm not exactly one to judge...but nonetheless, not everyone has light in them, whatever people may believe," he said. He was beginning to find this encounter somewhat interesting...perhaps he could pick up a few things of use to him for later, whatever those may be.
