Cristiano rounded a corner, his hard leather boots seeming to resonate in the crowded area of the port, the cacophony of daily city life echoing in his ears. Patting his pants off from the last crumbs of bread. Unbuttoning his crisp, but burnt and dirtied formal shirt so that it looked almost like a jacket, the half revealed a pure and untainted T-shirt, just before a gilded carriage rushed by the dusty streets, nearly crushing the young boy backwards. Not only had he managed to burn his clothes today, but he had almost been killed. This was not the best of days for Cristiano.
Knocked back in surprise, Cristiano uttered a single curse at the driver, coughing as the dust clogged his throat. Dusting the street's filth off of his shirt, Cristiano ruffled his hair to a more natural look and wiped the remaining dust from his face. However, in the corner of his eye stopped the carriage, and out stepped a little girl, her hands full of sweet treats. Instantly, the dragon's senses picked up to sweet aroma of cookies and lemonade. Ignoring the desire for food as Cristiano's stomach growled for doughnuts and cake and ice cream...Shaking his head, Ramirez decided to keep his mind off the luscious food and headed for the sea.
Reaching the docks, Cristiano inhaled the crisp salt air, instantly relaxing his body. Ever since Cristiano had been a little boy, the sea had been an amazing thing. It was so mystical and powerful. Able to wipe out entire nations or save them. Exhaling, Ramirez suddenly felt refreshed. Looking into the sun, the young boy allowed the warmth to wash over him quickly heating his body. He was still a dragon on the inside and the heat was a welcome thing. He would go flying if he had the chance to later, today was a perfect day.

Walking onto the docks was the young man named Telik Black. His hair was spiked in many ways and was a tint of brown. He was wearing full black as usual. With a large black cloak as well, however sticking from the top of the cloak was the hilt of a blade... but not any normal blade. It was the hilt of the Blade Of War. By the boys left side he had a normal Katana that seemed to be well used... and on his right side... on his right side sat another legendary blade, The Blade Of Peace.
Telik then closed his deep blue eyes and sighed a little. It was always good to be away from the crew for a little while. Yes I said Crew... as Telik was also known as Captain Telik Black of The Crimson Marauders, a band of Pirates and other classed warriors that where now either feared in Lómëdor, or known as a rather large hinderence within Lómëdor. Even the Syndicate of Blades had taken an interest in them... although that was mainly just to see who was sharing there "Turf"
Telik then seen someone standing on the dock that rather stood out. Telik was of course a Half Elf, Half Dragon and he could tell that this other person was not just a normal person. He slowly walked up the person and rested one hand on his Katana and one hand on his Blade Of Peace, ready to attack if need be. Although he did think that he might not have to attack.... you could never be one hundered percent sure though these days.

Cristiano stomach suddenly rumbled as he fished in his pocket for anything of use. Opening his fist, his eyes immediately scanned across his palm examining only a few pieces of lint, a map towards the temple of light, and a few coins that could maybe buy some dinner.
Snapping his fist back into his pocket, the young half-dragon suddenly realized that he would need to go hunting for more food later. He had noticed a few deer on the plains and it was said by the hunters that their meat was especially tender and juicy. He would check if that was really true. He had had enough of mountain ram. It took forever to thorougly cook the meat and even longer to chew it, but there was quite a bit a nourishment.
Suddenly, the boy's animal instincts picked up the distinct sound of someone approaching. Someone dangerously armed. A faint growl emitted from the boy's throat, but the sound never reached his years, as the wind threw it into the ocean ruffling his hair along the way.
Looking up, the boy put up a smile wondering why the stranger was so tense and why he was looking at him so strangely. Scanning the man, he noticed that this man seemed to be different. Thinking back to his recent past, the idea suddenly came to his hands. This man was on the wanted posters outside of the police station! Remembering the weathered poster, he also remembered that his was up along with thousands of other "wanted" criminals. Probably people who didn't pay enough taxes or another, thought the boy.
His golden eyes sparkling in the sun light, the boy reached to behind his back wear his broadsword hung, equally prepared for any attempt on his life.
"May I please ask you why I seem to be under the impression that you would like to kill me?" inquired Cristiano, flashing his razor sharp canines at the stranger, his voice full of sarcasm.

Telik seen the young man turning round to face him and also reach for his blade. Telik then listened as the man said "May I please ask you why I seem to be under the impression that you would like to kill me?" He then moved his hand away from his Katana and softly rested his right on the hilt of his blade of peace. Telik then said to him "Im not going to kill you... if you dont attack... i can just tell your not human... your different, like me...." The wind then began to blow a little stronger sending Teliks hair softly blowing behind him.
He then moved his neck from side to side cracking his neck. The scar down his left eye now showing clearly, he could still see out of the eye and everything, it just had a scar down it was all. Telik then raised his left hand and softly brushed his from his face. Once doing this he lowered his hand back down, his clothes seemed to not even have a ripple in the fabric. For a Pirate Telik was well kept in his appearance.
He continued to look at the boy then suddently his eyes widdened and he said "You.. your a Half Dragon. I can feel it within you, the reason for that... because im a half dragon as well... " His right hand then gripped the hilt of his blade of peace. The reason for this was because most people that Telik had met that were Half - Dragons had tryed to kill him, if it had not been for Gado and his other form Telik would have been dead by now.
Although the last Half - Dragon he had met was about ten years ago and now Telik could fight for himself. Gado still helped him but not to the extent that he once had. With his Right hand on his blade of peace Telik then moved his left onto the Blade of war. He was now ready for an attack... but was still hoping he would not have to fight... not yet anyway... with all these people here.

"Im not going to kill you... if you dont attack... i can just tell your not human... your different, like me...." replied the man, pausing every so often as if fearing that he would be truly killed in an instant. Really, why would any one be so paranoid of a 17 year old? Chuckling to himself, the boy looked into the sun allowing for the sun to fully embrace himself, allowing the warmth to slowly spread down to the toes of his feet, before looking back at the man.
"Are you implying that I'm some sort of demon, because if that were the fact, my face would be hung up at the city guard's headquarter's like yours and every single paladin would be in search of me throughout the lands," replied Cristiano sincerely. Did this person know that he was a half-dragon? Maybe he was too, maybe he would teach him how to control his powers, young Ramirez thought.
Looking back at the man, the boy's mind clicked as he remembered why the man was so wanted by the city guard. He was a pirate! Maintaining his stoical expression, Cristiano felt humored. This man is a pirate and maybe even a half-dragon. He really dresses decently for a theif of the sea, thought Cristiano.
"You.. your a Half Dragon. I can feel it within you, the reason for that... because im a half dragon as well... " said the man, barely managing to stutter the words out. Paranoid to the highest degree, thought the boy as he decided to push his luck.
"So, what Telik Black, why should a pirate as infamous as you be afraid of a 17-year-old boy, even if he is a half-dragon?" inquired Cristiano, emphasising by transforming a single hand into claws the size of daggers. He had learned to defend himself well with this method. Suddenly, Cristiano seemed to be growing larger, looming over Telik as deep dark clouds loomed over the port, lightning flashing and thunder roaring as hordes of dragons emerged from the skies. Laughing mercilessly, the boy looked down at Telik.
"It is only now that you should be afraid," boomed Cristiano's voice, dragons preparing to attack the small Telik. Suddenly, Cristiano waved his hands as he assumed his actual human form and the harbor sparkled once again as if nothing happaned. It was amazing what illusions could do.
"But of course, there is nothing to be afraid of," laughed the boy, "I was only joking." Giving a large grin, the boy extended his hand, "Hi, my name is Cristiano Ramirez, pleased to meet your acquaintance."

Telik continued to look at the boy and the strange illusion that he had made. It looked rather real but Telik knew it was only an illusion mainly since the other dragons had appeared so quickly. Although one thing did ring in his mind... when the boy had said his name... and the fact that he was a pirate. Once he thought about it more it was not that strange, after all he had wanted posters up all over town for not only him... but all the members of The Crimson Marauders.
The wanted posters of Gado, Ed and Chris looking the funniest. All three seemed to be drawn to look alot more evil than there indeed where. After Gado was Teliks bodygaurd yes, but on top of that he was the Father to Nami of the guild. True he had adopted Nami but still.. the eight foot Beastmaster was a father. While Ed... sure he could fight well.. and usualy had his dagger between his teeth, but all and all he was just a big joker and made the others laugh. Chris on the other hand... yeah he could seem rather dark at times, but well... all and all he was a good man, and a very important member of The Crimson Marauders.
Once the illusion had passed and the boy began to laugh Telik actualy cracked a smile onto his lips. He moved his hands away from both of his blades as he heard this boy say "But of course, there is nothing to be afraid of, I was only joking" The boy then extended his hand and said, "Hi, my name is Cristiano Ramirez, pleased to meet your acquaintance." With this Telik took the this Cristiano Ramirez hand and shook it.
He then said "Well as you already know. My name is Telik Black.... No.... my name is Captain Telik Black. Captain of The Crimson Marauders." He then also let out a small laugh after saying this. Telik then closed up his cloak to hide the Katana and Blade Of Peace from site, the hilt of his Blade Of War still poking from the neck line of his cloak. Telik then said to Cristiano Ramirez, "So what bring you to this town... and about your comment before.. your seventeen.. and im nineteen, so im not that much older than you ok. So im not an old man yet." Another small laugh then passing the cold looking lips of Telik Black.
This Cristiano Ramirez seemed rather ok... for a none Pirate anyway. Telik had never really been around people that were not Pirates. Even since the age of Twelve he had been with his Sister Cassie and his best friend, and Bodygaurd, Gado Kazama. So this was a little new to him... and the fact he though this boy was ok might prove to be a burden later in life if the two were to ever meet on the battle field... although if that was to happen... Telik would just have to concentrate and well... Destroy all in his path as Gado would say.
Demetrio Vasquez - June 30, 2006 03:53 AM (GMT)
Grasping Telik's hand firmly, the boy sensed Telik's power as a dragon and smiled warmly. This pirate was pretty good, seeing how as a boy, they had been considered nothing but trash, but that was then. Cristiano had no need to worry over his father's merchant business until he returned to Laskar.
"Well as you already know. My name is Telik Black.... No.... my name is Captain Telik Black. Captain of The Crimson Marauders," stated Telik, evidently proud of his rank and crew. Cristiano felt strangely relaxed in front of this pirate, maybe he would even visit the crew, as long as they didn't attempt to murder him or steal anything, not that Cristiano had anything to steal. He had either burnt or sold everything he had brung with him, except for this broadsword for self-defense, and even he was considering selling it as well, or at least reforging it into a real Laskaran blade.
"So what bring you to this town... and about your comment before.. your seventeen.. and im nineteen, so im not that much older than you ok. So im not an old man yet." said Captain Black.
"Well, to tell the truth, I'm currently trying to find some work here in Lomedor, but today I'm just looking for a warm meal that doesn't involve me stealing some poor farmer's sheep or cattle," replied Cristiano. It was indeed true, and Cristiano still had no real place to stay. He was running out of gold but at least he was picking up some magic skills along the way.
"But you say you're a captain of pirates, is that right? You wouldn't mind if I take a look aboard your ship or meet your crew would it? You see, from wear I come from, pirates are killed at first site, so I've never really been able to understand their mind set," stated Cristiano. If all pirates were like Telik, than they couldn't be all that bad, could they?
