Title: Clash of the Titans [P]
Description: Private: Ita and Mazzer
Ita the Reckless - June 28, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
Ita growled and ripped the Chaos Axe from its sheathe, its blade routinely lighting aglow with the deadly blue flames of combat. She whirled it around as an attempt to intimidate, but the cleaver-wielding butcher was in no mood for games. His shop, just a few blocks away from the Port, had been completely looted by Ita, who had eaten the contents of the whole shop. It was the first time the goddess had ever consumed meat. And she loved it. It filled her with regret that she had turned down Lothlomendil's offer of ham during the Divine Meeting that had commenced just a few weeks ago. Her memories were quickly interrupted when the butcher swung his large blade straight at her head. She ducked and heightened her axe, which made an inch-long cut on the opponent's blade. She quickly removed her weapon from its position and sliced the fat man's torso in half in one clean stroke before he could respond.
Straightening, Ita the Reckless looked down at the collapsed mass that was once a living, breathing human. Meat had become an addiction for her the first time she had tasted it. It seemed like all of her goals, all of her intentions, now revolved around the pursuit of delicious food. From this day forward, she would be a ravenous carnivore, always craving the taste of suffering. She had even contemplated sparing Arda just so she could eat forever. Sure, eating wasn't needed, but once you start, you never go back. A sadistic look formed on Ita's maw and she ripped off one of the man's arms, taking a large bite out of it and calmly strolling down the streets.
She stopped to marvel at the beautiful ocean that Port Adune was attached to. In truth, she was actually contemplating how to evaporate it into nothingness and cause an endless drought that would eliminate humankind. Either way, her eyes moved to a tiny rowing boat just starting to dock. She grinned, finishing up her arm snack and tossing the bones into the ocean. She proceeded to then point her hand in the direction of the boat. She elevated her hand, and the wooden craft began to slowly ripple the water. It then, at the extreme surprise of the person inside, lifted up into the air slowly. The fisherman, who was only a teenager, let out a cry of terror and jumped off, alleviating much of the weight that the goddess was lifting. When she lifted her hand to eye level, the boat was five feet in the air. With a quick flick of the wrist, as if she was shooing something away, the craft was launched off into the distance. It eventually crashed into another boat and they both sunk.
Ita grinned in satisfaction and turned around, uttering a faint laugh in sadism.
Mazzer - June 28, 2006 04:05 AM (GMT)
Mazzer grinned, watching an entire vessel sink below the murky depths of the Port Adúnë. The god had recently noticed an explosion in thieves and pirates, and sought to rid them from the face of Arda. Only minutes into his search, the god stumbled upon a smuggling operation in the port. Mazzer only had to ask around for a matter of moments to discover where the smuggler's boat was. It was large, one of the largest boats the god had seen. The god recalled his discovery of it, and smiled with satisfaction...
Thirty seconds earlier..
"Hey! Where do ya think yer goin', eh?!" One of the sailors guarding the ship shouted at Mazzer. The god payed no attention to the man, and walked on to the boat. "This is a nice ship! Such a shame to see it sink!" Mazzer said. The sailors had a puzzled look on their face, and then they began to laugh, drawing their weapons. "And who's gonna sink it? You?! Bahahahahaha!!" One of the nameless smugglers questioned. Mazzer was not amused. The god vanished in a flash of light, appearing feet away on the dock. "Your smuggling operation has gone on long enough!" He shouted, as an orb of firey light began to form in his palm. The sailors now realized their error.
Ten seconds later...
Mazzer grinned, watching an entire vessel sink below the murky depths of the Port Adúnë. He was happy to have dealt with it in such a manner. "I loves mah job!" The god said walking away, in a carefree fashion. But his moment of joy soon came to an abrubt end, as he heard someone scream in the distance. Mazzer instinctively ran to the person's rescue. Seconds later, as Mazzer came close to the where the scream had initially come from, he heard a crash... a loud crash. His eyes shifted about, searching for what was causing this havoc. In the distance, Mazzer saw two boats begin to sink... except one boat was... stuck in the side of the other vessel. The god had a puzzled look on his face. It was not something you saw every day. But under the screams of terror and cries for help, the god heard a very familiar chuckle. Mazzer's head slowly turned to see Ita, in all her... glory.
Taking no time to hesitate, Mazzer unsheathed a sword that the god had not used in an age, The Hellcaller. At the moment the blade became visible from its sheath, the skies above became peppered with odd lights, as if the blade was beckoning the heavens to collapse on the Port Adúnë. "Why am I not surprised to find you here, Ita?" He asked. Mazzer, not expecting a verbal reply, shifted himself into a defensive stance.

"Why am I not surprised to find you here, Ita?"
The lupine flashed a toothy grin, but did not turn around to face the rival god. Her ears flicked backward as the sky changed and the Hellcaller's abilities fired up and was ready to unleash its deadly purpose. Ita had seen it before, when the land was primitive and her semi-sentient self waged war upon all the other divine aspects. In fact, Ita had been hit by one of the products of the sword. She was forced to heal in her temple for a month after that wound. The lupine grasped her axe with her right hand and held it outwards, diagonally facing the ground. Mazzer's voice was so familiar, Ita had no doubt in her mind who she faced at that moment.
"Mazzer," she hissed, still refusing to turn around. The God of Light's name lingered in the air, and she refused to speak anything else. She said it with distaste in the tone. Fire manifested itself and ran down her weapon-holding arm, then disappeared as it flowed through the hilt. Two seconds later, only a meter or so away from the axe, the ground rumbled and pulled itself slightly upward into a cracking mound. Moments after the very top blew to pieces, sending rocks everywhere. Flames roared upwards in a deadly column, creating a geyser of massive proportions. Such were the newly-discovered abilities of Ita's divine weapon.
Six other geysers, of varying size, appeared around Ita and the Port. It was then that Ita withdrew her axe from its original position and turned her head fully to the side. Her left eye and a smirk became visible. The light cast by the geyser flames flickered against her metallic armor. "Why don't you just jump off a cliff? Nobody worships you anyway. You only exist for your booze." she growled, then quickly gripped her axe with both hands and whirled around, charging at the opposing deity with all of her might.
Mazzer - June 28, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
Mazzer watched with little interest as the ground tore at itself, spewing flames from the fissures. Ita had indeed become powerful, but Mazzer was still God of Light, and still more powerful than Ita. But there were truth in her words. There were only few these days who sought the path or righteousness. The rest lingered in their cities, accomplishing nothing in their meager lives other than the indulgance in selfish-hedonism. Mazzer was truly disgusted with the population in Arda these days. He did miss the ancient times when the only two notable races were Angels and Demons. One good side, and one evil side. But in these times, there were various evils. Evils that fought one another, Raku and Apocalypse Alliance, the Seven Sins. Mazzer was disgusted. There were even small sects that devoted themselves to bringing chaos. This was beyond the god to comprehend. Only within the depths of an insane mind could one find a twisted reason to form such a faction.
Mazzer shook his head, he was getting carried away in his thoughts again. He now saw that more geysers had arisen around the two dieties. The god chuckled. "Fire? Is that it? I'm disappointed in you, Ita." Mazzer said, casting Protection from Fire. The god stepped over one of the geysers, the flames running across his skin leaving no marks. Mazzer shook his head in disappointment. The two gods made eye contact, Mazzer with a blank stare, Ita with a smirk. It was then that Ita shot forth at the god, swinging her axe at Mazzer. He loosened his grip on the hilt of The Hellcaller, and vanished in a flash of light where Ita's axe would have plowed through Mazzer. The god reappeared behind Ita. In his left hand, he held his sword just barely enough to keep it from falling, and in his right hand, he released a Solar Flare at Ita's direction. It was now, that the comets began making their descent on the Port, crashing into buildings, and sinking boats.
Ita the Reckless - June 28, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
Ita rolled her eyes at Mazzer's petty display of power, clearly unimpressed. After she had charged, however, a small curse rolled from her tongue and she spun around, almost impaling herself against the Hellcaller. It was a constant guessing game for her, always trying to figure out what he'd do next. She wasn't the most psychically adept, therefore she couldn't probe his mind for any useful information (even if she was skilled at mind powers, Mazzer was hierarchily more powerful than her and could block it easily). So she made an educated guess and figured he would probably attack with the blade. She closed her eyes and broke into millions of tiny circular particles just moments before a great Solar Flare erupted from Mazzer's hand. A meteor rattled the port, landing on top of one of Ita's geysers and creating a large crater around it. The flames of the geyser slowly started melting off the thick layer of ice that surrounded it. Ita reformed a few inches to the left. Perfect circles in her fur were scorched from the god's attack.
Ita made no hesitation to counterattack. A black cloud formed high above the fighting deities. While the storm brewed, the lupine leapt forward again and launched several different types of attacks and flourishes upon her enemy. She backed away when acid began raining from the heavens. At first, the globs of the skin-eating liquid spread out the whole of Lomedor like every other storm. But there was strain in Ita's eyes, as if an invisible funnel was being created. Much of the acid got caught in the air and flowed down diagonally towards Mazzer, then finally dropped when it was over him. Half of the storm was now being focused upon the God of Light. Ita backed up even more so she could see what he would do next, or how he would respond to the attacks.
Mazzer - June 28, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
Mazzer looked upward, as the clouds formed. He had an idea of what Ita was doing, but could not be for sure until whatever was in the clouds came down. The god took a second from the fight to study the area around him. Firey geysers bursting from earth, comets emerging from the dark clouds that loomed above. Mazzer was almost in awe. But his attention returned to the fight when Ita charged at him. The god parried most of Ita's attacks, but she managed to make a small gash on the side of his arm from the barrage of axes slashes. He watched as she backed away. His eyes again shifted upwards, and saw the rain begin to poor down on all of Lomedor. But the liquid at first had a strange tingling sensation on the skin, but as Mazzer let the fluid linger on his skin, it began to burn. Acid rain, eh? Mazzer thought, casting Protection from Earth.
It was good that he had done that at that moment, for the rain began to inensify on Mazzer's position. But the liquid just ran down his body like normal drops of water. "You might as well give up, Ita. We could be locked in combat for eons. Lets just save some time and declare myself the winner." The god of light said smiling. Mazzer knew that Ita would either take more shots at him with her axe or reply with more sarcastic remarks. So the god did not bother to wait for a reply. He closed his eyes, and a strong wind picked up. The wind sent chills down his spine, as the god was now soaked with acidic liquids. But as the breeze continued it became hot, setting things in its path aflame. Mazzer would enjoy to see Ita counter this one.
