Title: Free Beer
Description: Yen & Snori but I guess others can join
Adsero - June 19, 2006 07:35 PM (GMT)
Adsero sighed and took another drink of her liquor. She shifted in the fireplace and pulled another pillow in. They burned too fast; no lower back support. This was getting boring. She hadn’t been doing much of anything recently. Hanging out at the bar, drinking enough to kill a small cow, and even throwing sharp objects at people if she got really bored. Too bad there are no sharp objects around…. She finished the bottle off and got out of the oversized fireplace. “Barkeep, I’m inviting a few friends.” She walked past the confused bartender and opened the door. “FREE BEER!” Adsero laughed and jumped behind the counter, ignoring the barkeeper. "But.....it's my bar....."
(The teal is the bar keeper btw)
Samarin - June 19, 2006 07:47 PM (GMT)
Samarin stepped in though the doors of the pub, He shifted slightly on each foot. The new body was taking a lot to get used to. Well atleast he could look people in the eyes. He walked up slowly to the bar and ordered a bottle of wine and a glase. Looking about he pushed the hair from his eyes. He knew adsero was in here somewhere, it was just a case of finding the fire elemental.... speak of the devil.
He walked towards her and sat at the table. "Hello adsero, you've not been at the temple for a while have you? you must have been hiding out here again. he uncorcked the bottle and poured himself a glass of wine then relised that she didnt know. "Ah you don't know Im Samarin, i used to be snori i changed.... a lot.... I change for myself and for ploay....He trailed of after he mentioned her name. He blinked something from his eye. "Anyway im Samarin now, oh and thanks for the invite... i needed something to take my mind off whats been going on.
He drank slowly from the glass, the red wine tasted good. He couldnt understand why he had liked ale so much.
Adsero - June 20, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
Adsero nodded. “Yeah, been here for…..a while. Interesting body change. Just had/I to be taller then me, eh?” She laughed and started on her own bottle of alcohol. “So what [i]has been going on with you? Last time I saw you was….Mazzer’s masquerade I think? Must be something if you need to take your mind off of it.” She took another drink of her ale. Snori-er, Samarin, was drinking something red it seemed. She tilted her head and took a better look at it. “How come your ale looks bloody and mine doesn’t? Are you a vampire now or something?”
(meh, short >< Oh well.)
Samarin - June 20, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
"Yup mazzers masquerade ... fun until the accident with the ale but yeah i really did need a distraction... If you want to know... I think im in love with Ploay.... Its hard to explain but when i changed body for the ball i saw everything more clearly. He heaved a sigh. He didn't really expect her to understand.
"How come your ale looks bloody and mine doesn't? Are you a vampire now or something?”
"Well that's because its not ale, my new body doesn't seem to like the taste, im not sure but it think its the way that something in my brain work ... either way i like wine now. He took the opportunity to drink the remaining wine in his glass, he poured himself another. Shifting slightly in his seat he setled down.
" So why have you been hiding out here? oh and who's coming anyway? Is it just us or are you bringing a friend?
(Sorry doing it in school no time for anything better)
Ayenna - June 23, 2006 06:42 PM (GMT)
“FREE BEER!? I’m here!”
A stick figure of a woman rushed into the tavern, tripping over her own feet in the process. Luckily for her, some random patron was kind enough to catch her before she fell flat on her face. Not that she thanked him or anything, she wasn’t paying enough attention to have noticed.
Yen skidded to a stop in front of the bar... Well, actually hitting it but oh well, we all knew that the half-dragon wasn’t exactly graceful when she got excited and she was definitely excited right about now.
Having managed to arrive at her destination in 2 minutes flat—despite the fact that she was at the other side of the city—Yen straightened, brushing a bit of dirt off her brightly colored outfit; a long red skirt and yellow sleeveless shirt. The rainbow colored metal bangles on both wrists jingled as she reached up to push a few stray chunks of red and brown hair behind her ear.
“Hi Adsero! Hi Random Person! Can I have free beer now? Actually, can I get free ale instead? It’s better than beer and—oooooh!” She broke off mid-sentence, getting distracted by the parrot sitting on another patron’s shoulder. “Pretty birdy!”
Samarin - June 24, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
Samarin watched with his mouth agape as [yen] ran into the inn. She certainly knew how to make an entrance. He wondered briefly if she was to be the one that was also drinking with him and Adsero. His train of thought was cut short as she addressed the pair of them. It must be the other one.
He watched her in a stunned silence for a while before reacting. "Uh hello, im samarin, you must be the other one Adsero invited to drink."
He reached up and scratched his head maybe he was the crazy one here. He was slightly taken aback. Adsero did not seem like the person to keep friends like this, she seemed much more laid back. Well, maybe things would change when the drinking got underway.
He shook his head in disbelief and drank down his second glass of wine and poured another. He laughed as she took interest in a customers familiar or pet "So your friends with Adsero, i'm not sure that we've met, what is your name? Maybe she would calm down eventualy
(sorry for the week posts)
Liara - June 24, 2006 07:57 PM (GMT)
The goddess pushed open the oak door to the tavern that Adsero frequented. The bartender often sent Liara invoices for charred or burnt items and long tabs of beer that Adsero opened but seldomly payed. It wasn't the call of free beer that lured the goddess to the tavern, but a chance to find out what her guardians had been up. None had been around the temple lately.
Liara smiled at Adsero and Samarin and gave a nod of her head to Ayenna. "I hope you don't mind drinking with the boss." A mug, filled with ale, slid itself over to Liara where she was sitting at the bar. Liara tried to act like the goddess she was but could only laugh and grin at Adsero. After drinking the glass in one breath she turned to the guardians, "So what, besides racking up a tab, has kept you all so busy lately?"
Silnímarë Kikkamm - June 24, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
Silnimare was doing what he usually did while in Lomedor: find a corner of the bar, and watch the world pass by. Silnimare was a bit of a passive observer, so the position suited him nicely. He watched as the stranger called out "Free Beer", but he just smiled. He didn't care too much for beer. Wine was good enough. As long as it didn't get him drunk in 10 seconds, it was good.
So far, he had gathered that the one who yelled about free beer was called Adsero, and another was called Samarin. A third had just come in, and seemed to have the attention span of three-year-old child. But the more Silnimare thought about it, the more Samarin reminded him of someone. He wasn't sure who, but he couldn't seem to shake the feeling.
Silnimare stood up, took a last sip of his wine, and walked over to Samarin. Smiling cordially, he extended his hand and said, "Hello. I am Silnimare. I gather that your name is Samarin. I don't meant to be blunt, but you remind me of someone I've seen before, but I can't quite place it. Have we met?"
Samarin - June 25, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
"Nah we don't see you as a boss more of a tyrant" He smiled and sipped at his wine, looks like it was going to be a fine day for drinking. He stretched out slightly and shifted in his seat, getting comfortable but it wouldn't last for long.
"Hello. I am Silnimare. I gather that your name is Samarin. I don't meant to be blunt, but you remind me of someone I've seen before, but I can't quite place it. Have we met?" Samarin turned and looked up at Silnimare. His face split into a wide grin. He put his glass down carefully on the table and rose to his feet. He turned and embraced Silnimare. "I see your eyes can look past appearances, Its me snori i guess, although now not so. He laughed and let go of silnimare. It was good to catch up with old friends. "The last time we met was what ... mazzers ball, Its been a long time hasn't it. He sat back in his chair. "Pull up a seat unless anyone has any objections. This was turning out to be a good day. Liara had even decided to join them and now silnimare was to join them, it certainly was a good day.
The door was pushed aside yet again, but it wasn't a man or woman who stepped through but a small dragon hatching, It nuzzled its way through and slipped inside. Crawling along the floor it slipped under the table and sat on Samarins feet. It would have to stop the habit soon or he would be crushed by it once it grew to full size. He reached down and patted it. Still hadn't named him yet and the dragon was to young to pick one for itself.
Silnímarë Kikkamm - June 25, 2006 04:52 PM (GMT)
Silnimare was a little surprised by the man's sudden embrace, and even more so when he discovered it was his old friend Snori. Silnimare smiled, and sat down. He wasn't sure what had happened to Samarin, but he could still feel the same soul beneath his new body. When he saw the small dragon come in, he laughed a little bit.
Silnimare said to Samarin, "Careful, or he may crush you the next time he does that."
((Sorry for the short post))
Adsero - June 27, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
Adsero smiled at the new people showing up. It seemed Yen and finally made it and apparently Liara had decided to join them. She laughed at Samarin’s comment about Liara being a tyrant. She talked to Liara while pulling out a few bottles of ale for herself and Yen. “Is there anything besides racking up a bar tab that’s worth doing? To be honest I’ve been too lazy to do much at all. How about you though? Any godly smiting going on?” She grinned. She glanced at Yen to make sure she wasn’t being overly annoying to the parrot or its owner. “This is Yen by the way. She’s……easily distracted.” Adsero laughed.
