Title: A Nice Quiet Drink
Khan Delnoch - June 3, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
Khan stumbled through the streets, drunkedly singing The traditional song of his tribe, a song that to casual listeners sounds like nothing more than random collection of bellows and insults.
After colliding with a horse cart and blundering across the connected horse he staggers through the doors of the nearest tavern. Leaning on the bartop, his weight forcing it to creak ominously he slurs out "gi'me...drink..."
Zelris - June 4, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
Zelris had been in the tavern just stopping his travel to get a quick drink. His plan was to stop, drink, and be on his way. He didn't want anything like a fight to get started because some of the people in the tavern seemed a little out of control.guys were arm-wrestling, getting drunk, fighting, and so on. As Zelris sat atthe bar with his drink another guy entered, well an ogre. The ogre came up to the bartender and said ina drunken tone," gi'me...drink..." . Zelris could smell his breathe from his seat and it reaked of all kinds of foul drinks. zelris looked at him and shook his head in disapoinment
Khan Delnoch - June 5, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
The bartender merely laughed, calling over a few of his bouncers to remove the drunken ogre. Two grabbed Khans arm, pulling him away from the group
"bu...drink..." Khan mumbled, confused and subdued by the drink. Most people when drunk statred to feel invincible, Khan slid the other way, to pacifism. As he was dragged outside by the bouncers he tripped, stumbling over and dragging them down with him. They took this as a deliberate attempt to tke them down and called others to help. Standing angrily, one of the guards kicked Khan in the back.
Zelris - June 6, 2006 03:53 AM (GMT)
Zelris had finished the drink and began to leave the tavern. As he got up from his seat he dropped the gold on the bar top," Here’s your money for the drink." The bartender took the money and went to another costumer. When Zelris reached the entrance of the tavern he noticed the same guy, well ogre, from before still in a confrontation with the guards. All the guards had fell and one of the guards stood up and angrily kicked the ogre in the back.
Zelris walked unto them and put his arm in front of the guard to keep him from doing that again.Zelris warned," I strongly suggest you don't kick this man again." The guard looked at Zelris like he was mentally retarded and moved his arm out of the way. Zelris watched the guard continue to kick the ogre and shrugged," Well its your funeral, I hope you'll enjoy the beating your about to receive."
Khan Delnoch - June 6, 2006 08:53 AM (GMT)
Khan, still drunk and confused looked up when the beating stopped. Someone had stopped the guard, at least for a moment. Just as Khan tried to get back to his feet he felt another swift kick to his side and he rolled over. Even in his state he could feel the rage building, and much as he would regret it(at least in his inerbriated state) he would soon have to deal with the fight
He attempted again to reason with the guard, but his slurred words only spurred him on.
"no....sto...pleee.."
Khan growled, anger finally replacing confusion as he grabbed the leg of the guard

From atop the tavern roof, Jess watched calmly as several bouncers dragged a well drunken ogre from inside. The ogre tripped and took all of them down until one got up and started kicking the man. The black hawk on Jess's arm squawked quietly and Jess turned to the bird. 'Quiet Jet.' she hushed him. Just then, another man came out of the tavern and caught the bouncers arm. " I strongly suggest you don't kick this man again." The bouncer tugged his arm out of the newcomers grasp and continued to kick the drunken ogre. " Well its your funeral, I hope you'll enjoy the beating your about to receive." shrugged the man who Jess recognised as Zelris. Just then the orge reached out and grabbed the bouncers leg. Jess smiled mischeviously. She didn't really feel like getting involved and anyway, this was getting interesting.
Khan Delnoch - June 8, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
Khan dragged the man down harshly, a loud crunch sounding out in the night as the guard landed heavily. The other rushed in and tried to keep the Ogre down, but Khan had taken enough. With a mighty roar he threw off his attackers then spun to face them. His drunken rage now in full steam he charged, colliding with three guards and crashing through the doors of the tavern. Throwing one guard back through the doors and another through a table it was clear that a brawl was officailly starting.
gracefulassassin - June 10, 2006 04:32 AM (GMT)
Jess dove in through a high window, leaping from beam to beam before stopping to examine the all out brawl that was going on below her. The ogre in the middle of it all was definetly putting up a good fight but it was clear that he couldn't keep fighting forever, so Jess decided to help him a bit. She dropped neatly down and and sent several people sprawling to the ground.
She loved brawls. Most of the time her opponents were drunk and couldn't even nearly hit her which definetly made life alot easier.
Without drawing her knives, she darted in and out of the fray. Everytime she left it, another person lay unconcious on the ground and the crowd around the ogre gradually lessened.
She leapt up onto the ogre shoulders, unconciously realising that he probably couldn't even feel her there, and dove off the top ramming several more drunks to the ground.
'Nice day for a fight.' she winked at Khan as she darted around him with surprising speed.
Zelris - June 11, 2006 04:17 AM (GMT)
Zelris watched from outside of the tavern as the ogre began fighting back and slamming guards against tables. It had turned into a brawl. Zelris looked at the gaurd that he had tried to stop from attacking laying on the ground. zleris walked up to him and kneeled down saying, " Can't say I didn't warn you" Zelris laughed a little.
Zelris then looked up to notice that someone else has joined the brawl. It was Jess, the assassin he met from before. Zelris thought as he watched... this will get intresting.
Khan Delnoch - June 11, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
Khans drunken state was gradually wearing off, the fight now a matter of principle. He was finally in his element, brawling with the other powerhouses and rogues of the seedy underworld. Bellowing with laughter he starts wading into the deepest part of the combat. A blow glanced off his skull moments later, another getting a lucky shot into his sternum. He felt the sheer weight of opponents dragging him down once more before he saw one man get knocked down by a newcomer, her sheer grace taking the attacker's feet from under him and quickly jabbign a blow into another drunken fool. It soon became evident that they would triumph, but he was curious who she was. At one point in the brawl she leapt onto Khans shoulders, using the extra height to take down a whole group of oponents in one fell swoop. Khan grinned beside himself, impressed at such eagerness to battle in one so small.
When the fight had finally died down, with just a few stragglers still standing Khan walked back to the bar, dropping the coins of various opponents on the bartop
"As I said before, Mead, NOW!"
He turned to look at the only two coherant people still standing in sight
"Ah hell, Drinks are on me"
gracefulassassin - June 12, 2006 05:14 AM (GMT)
Jess laughed and kicked a last guy straight in the stomach before slamming her elbow down on the back of his neck. She felt in his pockets, pulling out a few coins, then went around the rest of the bodies lying on the floor, pulling coins out of their pockets as if it was a perectly normal activity. Then she kicked the bodies off to the side. 'Puts me off drinking.' she smiled to Khan. The half-elf then walked over to one of the now empty tables and sat down, smoothing out her green silk dress. She took a tankard from Khan with a thanks and sat back. 'Cheers.' she winked, raising her tankard.
Khan Delnoch - June 12, 2006 10:40 AM (GMT)
Khan's laughter bellowed out at the image of such a delicate looking girl taking yet another patron to the floor then robbing him of all his wealth. It brought a smile to the ogres face to know that people still had the right view on moral's
He raised his glass to her, downing his mead in one then stood to find another opponent.
gracefulassassin - June 12, 2006 10:49 AM (GMT)
It took Jess a bit longer then Khan to down an entire tankard of mead but when he stood, looking for more opponents, she was right next to him. 'Now where to?' she asked, looking around. 'I'm not sure anyone here is concious enough to be anything of a challenge.'
Jess wandered over to the window and gazed out, then smiled gleefully. 'Over there!' she laughed. 'In that alley, there's like ten guys robbing one!' And with that, she disappeared out the door, leaving it open for Khan to follow.
Khan Delnoch - June 12, 2006 10:52 AM (GMT)
Khan looked on in shock at her eagerness. usually he would have left the muggers alone till they were done, taking his time to charge them. Yet something in the girls attitude made him realise his mistake. HWeres the fun in beating people when they are tired?
With a roar that shook the tiles from the roof above him he charged through the door and after her, attacking the first man he came to grips with with a savage headbutt.
gracefulassassin - June 12, 2006 10:58 AM (GMT)
Dropping from the top of one of the buildings that made the alley, Jess knifed down two muggers, kicking a third senseless and driving her palm into the face of another before lazily running him through with both daggers. She left the surviving attackers to Khan, instead going through the pockets of the fallen, pulling out coins and other precious items that she could later sell. Then she stood and leapt back into the fray, daggers spinning.
Khan Delnoch - June 12, 2006 11:05 AM (GMT)
Khan grabbed two of the muggers, slamming then both hard into the walls around before driving their heads together and leaving them on the floor. Her drove his fist hard into the face of another. Grabbing one mugger who was trying to escape Khan held him high in the air and offered the fool to jess, dropping the mugger at her feet. He turned the face the last one standing only to be stabbed in the gut by a small bladed knife.
Khan stared for a moment before slapping the knife away and charging, driving him into the floor and cracking the cobbles.
gracefulassassin - June 13, 2006 06:16 AM (GMT)
When the last body stopped moving, Jess walked quietly over to the man being mugged. 'Oh thankyou so much!' he stammered to her, bowing and grovelling on the dirty cobblestones.
'Oh I'm not here to save you.' Jess said calmly. 'I'm going to rob you too.' and with that, she slammed her tiny fist into the mans temple, knocking him out cold, then she proceeded to rummage through his pockets and bag, pulling out whatever she could sell.
'Okay then,' she said to Khan, sitting back on her heels and staring at the small pile of coins and items lying on the stones. 'We got several coins, a few small gems and some old rusty weapons.' she told him. 'Not bad for a couple of muggers.'
Zelris - June 13, 2006 04:15 PM (GMT)
Zelris silently followed Jess and Khan to the ally way wondering where they were going to see what they were up too. Zelris flew to the top of a near by building to see what was going on from above. One guy was getting mugged and Jess and Khan were fighting the muggers off so it seemed. Until Jess said,'Oh I'm not I'm going to rob you too.' And she slams her fists into the guys temples, knoking the guy out. After the guy is out cold Jess and Khan robbed the guy. Zelris jumped down of the roof top and in to the ally way. He landed right in front of them and questioned," Jess what are you doing robbing people?I thought you were saving this guy"
gracefulassassin - June 14, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)
Jess's head shot up as Zelris landed. 'Oh it's just you.' she smiled. 'I wasn't saving this guy.' She continued, going back to counting the money piled infront of her.
'I was paid to get this one.' she said, standing and nudging the unconcious man in the side. 'Thats why I was on the inn roof in the first place. It was just coincidence that he was getting mugged while I was here. Now if you'll excuse me for a moment...' With that, she dragged the man out of the alley, returning a few minutes later, carefully dropping gold coins into her pocket.
'Just giving my employer his prize.' she smiled, then turned to Khan. 'Alright, now where to?' she asked calmly.
Gabriel Lupius - June 14, 2006 02:46 PM (GMT)
Khan had been impressed by jess' mugging of the old man and was saddened to see it was because she had been paid rather than just random cruelty. Still, it was still good work.
"Where to? well im just in town relaxing, i was planning on moving on sooner rather than later. How about we all dscuss this over a few more drinks?"
(wrong account...It's Khan)
gracefulassassin - June 15, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
'Well why not?' Jess laughed, following Khan out of the dirty alley and back into Kaima Inn where the bartender ducked behind the counter as they entered.
'I'll get the drinks then.' Jess smiled, wandering over to the trembling bartender on noiseless feet. She whispered something in his ear and he jumped into the air with a yelp of fear, then poured three tankards as fast as he possibly could.
'Thanks,' she winked at him, taking the drinks and stepping carefully over the bodies that were slowly coming to. Placing the tankards on tthe table at which sat Khan and Zelris, Jess suddenly found herself dangling up in the air.
For a moment, Jess had no idea what was going on, then she felt a knife pressed to her throat as a burly man lifted her up from behind. Without warning, Jess lashed out with her foot, kicking the man in the thigh. He dropped her with a cry of pain, but not before causing a long gash across Jess's neck with the knife.
She dropped to her hands and knees in pain as the other men who had just entered the bar slowly surrounded the table which her friends sat at, all of them with weapons.
'You just had to pick now!' Jess muttered, getting slowly to her feet and drawing her knives, despite the pain in her neck.
Khan Delnoch - June 20, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
Khan looked up in surprise as jess was lifted from he chair and wounded. Normally he wouldnt even bat an eyelid to such an act, but this one had proved herself. Even now she kicked the attacker away, but there were more rising
"Friends of yours lass?" Khan whispered, seeing the weapons being withdrawn and realising the foolishness of the question.
Grinning widely he grasped the table underneath, flipping it onto a few of the armed men before steaming into battle, pulling on his hand hatchets and laying into the fools.
"Life around you seems more active if nothing else" he grunted, a small knife being buried to the hilt in his gut. Thankfully his wide girth absorbed the whole blade, and the knife owner was rewarded with swift retribution
gracefulassassin - June 21, 2006 05:51 AM (GMT)
Jess quickly healed the cut across her neck and dove into battle, her knives flashing as she jumped from opponent to opponent, stabbling and ripping. 'I've made my enemies.' she laughed, flipping over a man with a club and driving her daggers into his back, then ripping his lungs through.
'Anyway,' she said as she hit the ground behind the falling man. 'Who said they were after me? They could of just seen me as an easy target.' she giggled, dropping to the ground as a rusty sword swung over her head. Twisting around on the ground, she kicked the back of her attackers legs, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Arsyln - June 23, 2006 12:27 AM (GMT)
With amusment Arsyln watched the muggers get attacked. It had been a long day and she had to get away from everyone. Her pavilion were elsewhere, under the careful command of her second in command.
At herside was her two handed sword, and under her arm, hugging to its side was her journal, something that she kept with her wherever she went. Bored, she threw her book to a near by table, and she tied her shoulder-lengthed brown hair back, so it would not get into her eyes.
One of the muggers was trying to reach for his sword. Though the warlord knew that the two of them did not need help from her, the urge of killing went through her veins. Quickly, like she had done every other time, she unsheated her two handed sword, and made it so that the flat side of the blade had hit the man's hand, stopping him from grabbing his rusty sword.
"I assure you that you won't be bothering anyone?" questioned the human, "Wouldn't want to be beaten up by her again now would you?" she said implying the one who had been knocked down. "Right?" she said with a bit more authority in her voice. The woman kicked the mugger in the stomach, sheathing her sword oncemore.
"And who would you two be?" she quizzed in a serious manner, her urge not dying down at all. It would be a few minutes before her thirst of blood died down.
Sighing heavily she went to the bar to get a drink, before she came back to the two who she had spoken to. It really was a long day for her, which ruined her plans entirely. This was her first time in the inn, and she hoped to get a room right away, but the inn keeper had to look for an available room for her to sleep in. They had offered for her to share a room with one of the guests, but she simply refused.
"As I was saying to you two, who may you be?" she repeated her question. Taken a sip from her drink, she smiled because of the taste of her drink. "That's more like it."
