Title: Exploring
Draco - August 10, 2004 10:28 PM (GMT)
Draco came up onto the island from the waters surrounding it. He had never been here before, but he had heard people telling stories of it. A place that is as beautiful as the stars at night, but as dangerous as a rocky gorge. He wasn't worried about any danger, if he could make it to the shoreline, he would be able to easily defend himself. Walked up to where the forest first started, and stopped a second to look into the forest as far as he could. He decided that it would be safer in the forest, because any raiders would be near the coastline, praying on merchant ships that sailed by. He started walking and was soon deep within the forest.
As he traveled through the forest, he looked around at the beauty that surrounded him. It was astonishing the way this world worked. In a land that was full of danger and trouble, such beauty could spring up in the middle of the ocean. He stopped to rest at about midday, taking a seat in the shade of a large tree. He looked around on the trees to see if any of them grew fruit of some kind. He stopped when he saw a large tree that had several coconuts hanging from it's limbs. He quickly got to his feet and walked over to the tree. The tree was a good size, the lowest branches were at least 15 feet off the ground. Climbing the tree to get the coconuts would be a task.
Meera - August 11, 2004 01:09 PM (GMT)
Meera wandered about the shoreline glancing out at the ocean every now-and-then. She was deep in thought at the moment. She thought "How did I come to this island. I cannot understand. One moment I was asleep and next I wake up on this island. What a curious thing" and she shook her head. The thoughts were just piling up and getting so confusing. She reached the coconut tree where she had started walking around the island. She then heard the sound of a large being walking out of the water. She gasped and hid. She thought "How could someone get here? I wonder if it is safe to come out?" as she hid in the shadows almost perfectly blending in until she bumped a tree and a coconut came crashing down.
Draco - August 12, 2004 02:52 AM (GMT)
Draco almost jumped when the coconut fell to the gound, but he managed to control himself and hide his feelings of surprise. He swiftly reached behind him and drew his Flamberge from the scabbard across his back. He also pulled his shield off of his back and held it up in case of an attack. He looked around, looking for any movement and listening for any noise. "Who's there? Come out now, I mean you no harm." Draco then waited for an answer to his call, always keeping his sword and shield up and ready, should he be attacked.
Meera - August 12, 2004 11:25 AM (GMT)
Meera cursed as the coconut fell but she listened to see what the person would do. She was relieved when the creature said that it meant no harm. She was too tired to fight. She stood up and walked out of the trees. She held up her empty hands and said "I intend no harm on you either" She studied him. She had never really seen anything like him. She said "how did you get here" which was just the question she was asking herself earlier. She brushed away a piece of hair that had sheilded her eyes from seeing for the moment and tucked it behind her ear.
Draco - August 13, 2004 12:23 AM (GMT)
Draco smiled at the newcomer, there was just something about her that made him want to trust her. "I swam here, let me introduce myself, I am Draco." Draco sheathed his sword and hung his shield from the frame on his back, then he got a good look at the newcomer. She looked to be some type of fighter, but how could she have gotten here by herself? Unless she had come here on a boat and then stayed here when the boat left. "If you don't mind me asking, what is you name?"
Lauryl Frusciante - August 14, 2004 12:29 AM (GMT)
Lauryl hears two people talking from the trail ahead. Lauryl decides to investigate. AS he walks quietly threw the trees, he spots 2 human like figures. Lauryl walks as quietly a possible to avoid being heard. As Lauryl gets closer, he steps on a twig. After doing this, he stands very still behind the bush that he was using for cover, as to not be seen and hoping that no one saw him.
Meera - August 14, 2004 12:43 PM (GMT)
Meera sees that this person was not telling a lie and a smile played on her face for just a second. Then it vanished. In answer to his question, she said "Meera, and pleasure to meet you Draco" Meera's ears catch the sound of the twig. Her bow was immedietly set and an arrow was nocked already pointing in the direction of the sound. Her eyes narrowed trying to see through the darkness. She yelled "show yourself" and slowly lowered her bow, wary, but not wanting chaos.
Lauryl Frusciante - August 14, 2004 05:49 PM (GMT)
Lauryl slowly rises, he takes off his hood. He then says "I don't mean any harm."
Meera - August 14, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
Meera lowered her bow completely and studied the figure she said "may I ask what your name is and how you got here?" her eyes were quizzical and one eyebrow was raised in curiosity. Meera slung the bow back on her back but it was looser than before. You never knew if one more person would come out of the trees just like she and this man had. The wind blew and sand was blown in her face. She brushed away the scratchy material and brushed it on her pants.
Lauryl Frusciante - August 14, 2004 07:23 PM (GMT)
"Hello. My name is Lauryl. I am traveling with my friend Lamine." Yells at Lamine "Come out Lamine. These people mean us no harm." Talks to Meera agian "We have been traveling for daysthrough these woods. We are in search of treasures and fortune. What about yourself?" Lauryl walks up closer to Meera, but not too close. He wants to get a closer look at these two creatures. He notices on who is human and one who seems to be elven. Some thing about the elven one seems odd. Almost like something is wrong with her. After some thought, he notices some human characteristics. He then goes on to believe that she is a half-elf.
Lamine Hillel - August 14, 2004 07:49 PM (GMT)
Lamine walks from the trees and says "Greetings. I am Lamine, friend of Lauryl." Lamine looks closely at the two to see what the two are armed with, as well as what the have on them. Noticing that neither of them have nothing that seems valuable, he says It seems that you two are new to this area. Do you mind if we travel along with you?"
Draco - August 15, 2004 02:08 AM (GMT)
Draco was urprised at the number of people that were just appearing out of nowhere. He shook his head, he had come here to relax away from civilization, but a lot of people had decided to come here at the same time as him. "It's a free world isn't it, I don't have any objections to you'll being here, but I just met Meera here, so we aren't really going anywhere." Draco lookedt hrough all of the new arrivals, trying to see if any of them might be trouble.
Lauryl Frusciante - August 15, 2004 03:40 PM (GMT)
Lauryl eyes gaze apon his two new frieds. He tries to put his thumb on why these two people would be in the middle of nowhere. Then he realizes, these people must be in search of peace, as is Lauryl. Lauryl thinks to himself that these two must want peace, so he will leave them if they wish. "Well, it was very nice to meet you. But I can tell that you are shocked that we are here. I would leave you if you so please."
Draco - August 21, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
"No, that's okay. You can stay here, I was just surprised to find so many people here today. I came here to get a slight vacation from some of my duties, so it would be nice to have a conversation with someof you'll." Draco then sat down on the ground with his back against the tree that he had been trying to climb and looked around, as if he expected more people to appear.
Lauryl Frusciante - August 21, 2004 05:57 AM (GMT)
"Well then. I thank you for allowing me to stay. My name is Lauryl Frusciante as I have stated earlier. I am traveling with my two friends Lamine Hillel and Lomefè Natar. Lomefè is off training to become a better arcane spell user. I believe she is a sorceress as well as a ranger. I am a ranger/barbarian, and my friend here is a ranger/rouge. I was wondering, what brings you to this island?" Lauryl takes a seat by a nearby tree and sits down. His scimitar rests beside him on the ground. Lauryl then spreads out and looks up at the sky as he talks to his new friends.
