Title: Challange of sounds
Description: fight! WHOOO!

Kyo - June 2, 2006 09:06 AM (GMT)
Kyo stepped into the training area calmly. Drawing his sword. He started loosening his wrists. Then doing a few simple moves, faster, then faster still and then finishing with a cut down which the blade sliced into the floor, shining and it caught the light. This should be interesting he thought as he tightened the cloth holding his hair back, then the one other his eyes. Very interesting again he lifted the katana out of the ground and sheifed it. Keeping his hand on the hilt, waiting for his first challenger.

It had been years since he did this and then it was against other angels not what ever he would fight this day. It was hot and so must be sunny and roughly mid day guessing by the way the heat came down on him, the feel of light is always good who would come to fight him was another thing though. Form a lowlife peasant to a god. He would face them anyway. Appearances don’t frighten him, why should they when you cant see them. Voices maybe but he had a strong mind.

No killing shall take place today unless something unexplained happened. a simple match first to land three strikes wins the round. 3 rounds person with the most wins... well wins I guess. maybe we could place bets... No better not. I have already spent too much on new things.
No fight to the death or fight to the death it would be bloody, he’d have to warn the person who came to fight that. He will win by sounds and blows.

Ploay - June 2, 2006 09:39 AM (GMT)
Ploay outstretched her wings as she walked in her leather sandals in the grasslands. She then folded her wings, as close to her back as possible and headed for the training grounds. The wind lightly licked at her cheek, as she was remembering the last time and only time she was there. Months ago she was in a tournament, and more or less it was a tie, but the drow she faced won. Deep down she wanted to get a rematch, to show she wasn’t inferior to anyone. Stopping, she finally got to the training grounds, leaned on the fence, folding her hands neatly, and lightly smiling.

The match she had with that drow, was the most lively thing she’s done in a long time, and it was almost fun. Although, the drow was planning to kill her if he ever had the chance, but it gave Ploay a reason to survive. Still smiling, her eyes caught on an angel who was ready to fight, anyone it looked like. Her smile was changed to an emotionless stare, and her eyes watched him, wondering or not if she should fight with him. Maybe I’ll go easy on him, Ploay thought to herself, and began to walk in the fence’s partings.

Ploay put her hands in her pockets, walking slowly towards the stranger, and her hair flowed with her. One of the few days she would travel with her hair down, she mostly kept it in a braid, tucked in her shirt. “Hello there. Nice sword” Ploay said in an emotionles voice, and then stopped when she felt she was close enough to the man. She didn’t come here to fight, she came to remember the memory of first meeting ‘him’ here. But she would like to test out her fan blades, they looked like they may be fun.

Kyo - June 2, 2006 10:06 AM (GMT)
Waiting was the hard part going though and though the forms he had been learning all his life, though and though. But it wasn’t long before he heard the feet of another person, light feet. Always be cautious around light feet. He himself had light feet. The mark of a dancer. It was still hot good weather for the fight maybe this person would like to 'dance with him'. Kyo had won many fights, had seen wars, never in one though. He was too young at the time. What was that? 190 years ago? must of been.

The light feet where drawing near it seemed, so he sheifed his sword and stood ready for formality. So it was a surprise when the feet stopped and a woman said, "Hello there. Nice sword" he almost grinned, in fact he did, but only a bit of it showed. He did have a handsome face. The amount of women he had come 'close to' after fighting them was a lot after all. Kyo stopped smiling. Time for seriousness. He turned to face the woman, and bowed."I am Kyo, I walk in the light. Have you come to challenge me or just to wonder the grounds, either is as good."

Bowing again, Kyo stepped back and loosened his sword a little, waiting for an answer. He always did this now as almost a tradition. As a younger angel he had asked the demon that had blinded him for a challenge and instead of answering he just attacked. That was not the only time either. Many people had done that. "If you do accept will you please state your race and name to me please, I would like to know what I am fighting, and the name is a bit of formality."

Ploay - June 2, 2006 05:10 PM (GMT)
It was impressive that the arena was in such good shape, she remembered dirt being dug by heels, and the fence had a good size dent in it. Ploay lightly smiled at that thought, but then she snapped out of it and looked at the man. Why his he grinning? Ploay thought to herself, she wondered why sometimes people grinned at her before they fought. Maybe he thinks I’m a pushover, she continued to think, trying not to twitch her eyebrow in frustration. Lowering her head she quietly muttered something to herself that was very un-lady like. It was heard all though her mind, yet it was quiet enough that only she could hear it. Looking up, she saw his mouth running, but she heard no words coming out. Her mind was set to show this guy she wasn’t weak, to prove she has a rite to survive in this world. Being a guardian wasn’t good enough, she wanted to live up to her position, to show she was really the guardian of wind, not a weakling with just a name.

Finally she shook her head and heard words come out of his mouth, asking what race she was, and her name. Ploay searched in her head a bit, should she tell this guy she is the guardian of wind, knowing that most likely he’d run away? She would never get strong if the challengers kept running away. Today, in this fight, she decided to handicap herself, not using any of the guardian powers. She would fight like a normal archangel, like the old days, that seemed to be the only way she could get stronger. But what about her name? Wouldn’t he know she was the wind guardian because of her name? Quickly she tried to think of another name, a name that seemed believable.

“Hm,” Ploay said, still looking were his eyes would be “my name is...Pl-, Pleat. And as for my race, I’m an archangel.” She reached in her sash, and pulled out two blade fans, one in each hand. “I’ll challenge you. Shall we begin?” Ploay finished saying, taking a step back, put one hand behind her back, and the other hand was up to her face. With a twist of her wrist, the fans out stretched, and the fan in front, covered her face. She was finally ready to start fighting.

Kyo - June 2, 2006 06:08 PM (GMT)
Kyo was relieved. Relieved that he didn’t have to wait any longer and relieved that she didn’t cheat. He took a step back himself and brought out Itika his better sword that always used with two hands. For a moment he was left wondering. The double swishes in the air meant two blades and because she was waiting she was obviously waiting to get him the first move he made. Other than that the only noises he could hear was a bird chirping which he drowned out. He was readily to fight now he was one with the surroundings, with everything pity he couldn’t see everything. But a new thought occurred to him what if she had moved, he had not hearted it, but it was not impossible.

He had two choices he could attack and hope he hit, or be ready for a long wait in till she made a sound or attacked, difficult choice. Readying two forms that meld into each other, he picked moon on the water flows to ribbon in the air. He shifted his position again but always facing the last place where he had heard her.
"Ok remember the rules,it's out of three rounds, three hits wins a round, the person with the most wins, win the challenge. No killing please, it is just a training area after all." At least she isn’t evil. Darting forward he started to attack.

The forms he had chosen where almost pretty, forming them was even better. The feeling of joy rose up before he could stop it. His sword swiped, his feet moved bade rose in an ark and falling again. I must be right in front of her now. Bringing his blade up before his face, twisted his wrist and cut a left blow using Rock down the mountain, modified so it slashed horizontally hopefully striking Pleat... not too hard of course. All in some swift-display. what a strang name pleat. emotionless to by the sound of her voice, but hopfully he would have his first mark of the match.

Ploay - June 2, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
With slight hesitation, she stood where the sword was going to strike, but then she used her combat reflexes and dodged into a crouching position. She paused, unsure whether or not she should really attack a blind person or not. But he asked for it, and it was just training, therefor you get what you ask for. It was a rather ironic to handicap her powers, and be fighting a handicap. Yet somehow, she believed he had experience in fighting, more or less experience then Ploay did that the time. As she felt the wind from his sword swipe over her, she flexed out her arm holding the fan in her right hand, then waved her wrist in a curve motion. Her aim was on his kneecap. Before she even saw if her attack worked, she rolled on her elbows in a whirlwind motion, and stood up behind him.

Calmly she tried to figure a way to get three hits in before he had a chance to block. Knowing she didn’t have much time left, she quickly raise herself on her right foot, standing on her toes. With her left foot, she raised her knee up, then pushed forwards at the back of his knee. As she made this kick, she quickly shifted her weight, jumping from her right foot, to make a whirlwind kick, aiming at his shoulder. This would allow her to whirlwind out of her own attack, then roll on the ground if he didn’t counter it somehow.

Her fan blades were light, but they packed a good punch, something Ploay was very proud of having. “If you wish me to close my eyes to be more fair, then I shall.” Ploay said if she attacks worked or not.

Kyo - June 2, 2006 09:51 PM (GMT)
Kyo almost laughed when the blade hit nothing. She was quick. Maybe I picked a fight with someone who can fight, and well by the look of it. In the next second he could feel wind darting toward him; which meant blunt weapon or foot. And considering this Pleat had two blades must mean foot. Darting to the side a thump hit him on the chest winding him and causing Kyo to cough up some blood, but the hit aided him escape the third hit. Opening his wings in a majestic sight he flew backwards just as he was trained to do, the attack just missing his face. Still keeping his sword ready for bore rushing lion. That leg injury was going to be a problem. But he wasn’t about to let her take anymore points.

Kyo was just about to heal the slash on his leg when pleat spoke, "if you wish me to close my eyes to be more fair, then I shall,” A definite no.
"No I couldn’t let you do that; I have been trained to fight blind. No offence but you might as well be a cat trapped in a box if you closed your eyes." Healed his leg and turned to face pleat, "and anyway i can guess there pretty." With that said he charged. But instead of slashing he thrust kicked but it nothing, maybe a little bit short, and secondly slashed out. Then rolling to the left so he was on his knee's Kyo raised his blade in a curve, left to right, which made flick noise he rather liked. Ill have to remember that one, he thought as quickly jumped backwards to safety from anymore hits.

All he new was the kick defiantly missed but the blades were very sharp. Now he stood there in a guarding position, blade in front for easy moving. "Did I hit?" Only if someone can heal my blindness.

Ploay - June 3, 2006 01:37 PM (GMT)
Ploay lightly smiled at Kyo, for being blind, he was very good at fighting, such determination in his soul, was almost unbelievable. And seeing wings was a surprise, they were beautiful, she had almost forgot what angelic wings looked like on another. Two hits, Ploay thought when she looked at him. She realized it would be much harder getting more points, now he would be more on guard she bet. Slowly she out stretched her fans, is squat down a few inches, and waited for him to be finished healing his leg. Then almost laughed when he said he guessed her eyes were pretty, then felt a bit sad. He couldn’t see the wonders. How long has he been blind? Those were the thoughts that reached in her mind, tugging at her to find the answers in the dark.

But then she was quickly forced to stop thinking about that, as he charged at her. First her thrust kicked, making her defend herself with her elbow, but the kick came short. But the tip of his blade reached her, drawing out inches of blood, and yet, there wasn’t that much pain. Squinting her eyes, she could easily pass the little bit of pain that went to her elbow. Getting on the defencive, she covered her thigh and part of her belly with one fan, while with the other she covered her chest and neck. First his blade came at her again, first to left, so she shifted her weigh on her left side, and tried to move it off course with the metal tips on her fans. While doing this, she moved her whole body with it, so she came to the blade’s side. But his blade cam back for the right, something she hadn’t planned on, and the sword nipped her in the shoulder, but a pit more deeper.

“ow,”Ploay quietly said as soon as Kyo asked if he hit anything. “You got two hits on me.” Ploay said, rubbing her shoulder with the ball of her wrist. Then jumped in the air, a bit closer to his side, then punched with the ball of her wrist, just below his elbow bone. She put enough force to touch this pressure point, and if hit right if could make the elbow and down go limp. Ploay was aiming for his sword bearing hand.

Kyo - June 3, 2006 02:01 PM (GMT)
His wonderment was confirmed when, pleat said, "ow," just after he asked if he hit and, "you got two hits on me," Kyo was please he had hit right, but he worried too. What if he had really hurt her? HE actualy wanted to stop the challange just incase. As he opened his mouth to ask if she was alright, He felt wind blowing against his face and someone land beside him with a light patter. Just as quickly he gave a yelp and dropped Itika (his sword) with a clang on the ground. His arm had been hit and he could not move it ah! Clutching his arm he flew back again facing the place which just attacked him. Whats that sharp thing in my arm a dagger? no too small. Oh light im in pain!

"That was a good move," still clutching his arm but not showing the pain though his voice, " and it does look like you have won the round." Drawing his second katana; which he could weld with his left hand but extremely poor. He held it as ready as he could. But he did take a moment to get it right. I’m not going to show her that though. He thought gripping the weapon tighter. "Actually I think you broke my arm." In fact he could feel a bit of blood. "But the challenge must go on." Raising his second katana he moved forward with as much balance and grace as he could, but it was difficult. On the balls of his feet Kyo darted forward, slashing twice; missing widely it seemed and made a surprised sweeping kick to take her legs out. The power of that would take down a bear.

((ooc- sorry i'm just not in it today. plus having a blind character cuts posts short unless i goi nto extream detail about what i can hear or feel .. ))

Ploay - June 3, 2006 02:47 PM (GMT)
When he spoke again, it gave Ploay time enough to back up to prepare herself for a counter, “Thank you. You’re not bad yourself.” looking at his arm, she was a bit surprised that it worked out so good, she didn’t want to hurt him that bad. Yet she saw blood trickle on his limp arm, but he didn’t show any signs of pain. He didn’t seem like a normal fighter, who would charge, dare I say, blindly in fighting. Kyo used his hearing, then charged, making it much easier to fight. That’s when Ploay realized that hearing was his eyes, and hearing was the only way he could fight. And surely Ploay didn’t want to cut off his ears, she had to find another way, a way that didn’t to permanent damage.

Ploay covered her body with her fans, much like what she did last time, as she saw her charging at her with another Katana. She would go under him, and punch him in the stomach, making him loose his wind in his breath. But surprisingly after the two swipes of the blade, Ploay ducked to do that thing, but a hard swoop hit her. Making her start to go down, but she did a small back flip, and stood on her hands. Parting her legs, she began to twirl like a whirlwind on her hands, attacking with her feet, aiming at Kyo’s head. Faster and faster, she kept spinning until there was some ign that she was hitting him, or he was blocking her, or something else.

((its alright, some of the best rps have great detail, you could say your charry feels the vibrations))

Kyo - June 5, 2006 08:31 PM (GMT)
It had worked! He had taken one point for this round! And maybe did a bit of damage that might make her a bit slower, which would be a really big help now that he only had on arm for fighting. The blood had slowed but pain surged increasingly more in his arm every minute as he left it hanging down and swinging.
Ah geese it hurts! was what was going though his head each time it surged. But he only let little bits of it hurt now. It was just too much too hold in. Not letting his thoughts hold him down he began to jump backwards but before he was even off the ground ripples of air hit his face from the side, along with a swooping noise. That’s not all that came caught completely off balance and surprise he stopped his jump just to be hit really hard in the face, fracturing the area around his eye and causing him to go with the kick.

Without thinking he raised his sword the block his face only for it to be kicked out of his hands a second later but the third kick was planting on the back if his head since the force of the first had knocked it that way. Feet coming off the ground, he landed about two meters away, with a thud and friction burns on his face there it collided on the ground. A clatter of mettle on the ground announced the arrival of his sword landing after him. Trying to get to his feet he completely lost balance still on his hands and fell back on his face. He could taste blood and could still hear the ringing in his ears form the blows. "Looks like nice woman kicked my ass." he paused to cough up a bit of blood, "well I give up I declare you the winner. I’m so glad I didn’t bet today." grinning he rolled over to face the light of the sun and stretched out his winds again, although it was difficult lying on them. Still smiling, "do you know any healing?"

Ploay - June 5, 2006 09:30 PM (GMT)
Ploay ran to Kyo, seeing the great damaged she had done, danm, Ploay thought to herself, I knew I shouldn’t have been so hard on him. He was blind, Ploay had no businesses fighting with him. Falling on her knees next to him, she looked him over, he wasn’t doing to good. “Hold on,” Ploay said as she tried to remember the greater healing spell. From the looks of it, Ploay may needed to carry him back to her shrine for healing.

Gently hold his back up, she let the upper part of his shoulder rest on her arm as her right hand glowed white. The grater heal was taking place and soon he would be feeling much better. “I lied about earlier,” Ploay started to say as the blood seemed to fad away, “I’m really the guardian of wind.” The guardian lightly smiled, “You handled the fight well. And my real name is Ploay.” Finally the wounds on him healed, and they seemed to be alright. Although Kyo would be still weak for awhile.

“If you want I’ll take you to my shrine so you can recover, would that be alright with you?”
Ploay asked the angel in a gentle voice.

((sorry for the shortness, writers block))

Kyo - June 6, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
Kyo was starving after the healing and incredibly tired but he did his best to push his needs away. What pleat... sorry Ploay just said was jaw breaking and hit him harder than her attacks had. He had just fought the guardian of the wind! Thinking quickly he thought about apologising for being ignorant and for challenging her in the first place and then about grinning at her but then again it wasn’t his fault was it? She had disguised her self so he would fight her, not that he would have turned her down anyway, and that might have been chaos. Deciding not to do any of those things, he instead answered to her question about going back to her shrine to recover which seemed to be a good idea.

"Yes, I’d be very grat..."but Kyo paused mid-word in a failed attempt to stifle a yawn, "...eful. But you dint have to do anything if I’m going to be any trouble. You have been kind enough already." Yawning again but he covered his mouth this time. I don’t want to se...em disrespect...ful now do I? Wind blew again gentle and seemed to edge him to sleep again but he kicked it off again with a snarl at it in his head. He had lost but he could not think who he would prefer to loose to. And he had no hatred at all to her. "I would like it much if we could be friends.” He said grinning again.

Ploay - June 8, 2006 04:59 PM (GMT)
Ploay looked happily at the angel, pleased that he wasn’t angry that she had lied to him about who she really was, and what she really was. Calmly she looked him once over, his body seemed tired, ready to sleep and forget about this whole day. Ploay expected him to forget it like most mortal did after a deity helped them these days, grew grudges, and crazy angry that could be very simple to solve. But then what he said to her next was very surprising, a mortal wanted to be friends with a demi-god? Did such a thing existed? For the wind guardian something seemed so, and she had friends who were guardians before she knew what she, was. The angel form Ploay smiled, as she tenderly took his arm, and wrapped it around her neck, then wrapped her other hand around his waist. The guardian was doing her best to be gentle, not wanting to hurt him anymore with her guardian like strength.

Ploay looked around her, to see which way her shrine was, it wasn’t too far, and by flying they would reach it sooner. With a small sniff of the wind, Ploay opened her wings, and jumped into a gust of wind. Hang on, Ploay thought to herself as they finally got into the air, struggling to get a good balance in the air currants. Finally, Ploay started to flap her wings, and soon they were gliding steadily in the air. "I would like to be you're friend too," Ploay said with a smile as she looked at him. Heading for the nature temple, and there lies within it, the shrine of wind.
