Title: Hunting for Treasure!
Description: I know that I'm greedy... >: )
Famine - August 5, 2004 03:03 AM (GMT)
Famine had walked on the endless fields of grass for days now. He had been searching for a rumored tower, that held great treasures, and weapons of power. These are the things the demon needed for his own plans for the war. But for his plan to be succesful he needed more power than he currently had. He may own the Desert Faction, but that will not be enough for what he has in store.
Famine began to grow tired of seeing the same thing. All through the horizon was tall grass, and maybe a tree or two. He leaned on his spear, looking at a map he had obtained from a merchant, a now dead merchant. He found out the map wouldn't help him any, since there was nothing in the Grasslands that you could draw down on a map, since all there was was a huge field of endless nothingness. This is the fact that annoyed him so much.
Famine looked around in a full circle, and noticed a stone tower in the distance.
That has to be it! He thought to himself. When he came upon the building, he noticed it was much older looking than he had originally thought it was. He walked around the tower and found a doorway.
"Here I come precious treasure! He said to himself as he entered the dark doorway. There was enough light that Famine should be able to find his way through the building. As he entered the building he heard the dripping of water. He continued to navigate his way throught the tower labrynth, hoping he would find some treasure or magical weapons.

Famine:
In the labyrinth there are many winding passageways and many doors. Most of the doors are not locked but there are plenty that are. Come of the locked ones even have runes inscribed on the door that catch and entice the eye.....
Famine - August 5, 2004 11:44 PM (GMT)
Famine looked at one of the locked doors with runes enscribed on it.
Tch, what do they take me for? A fool?! Famine thought to himself. He was beginning to dislike this place more than he disliked the paladin, Tulkas.
The demon eyed the door for a minute or two, and thought of possible traps that could be set on the door.
"I'll open it just out of curiosity..." Famine took a few steps back, and started to poke the door with the runes on it, with his spear.

Famine:
The only reaction is the creaking of the door opening. The room has no windows and is pitch black so from the hallway you can see nothing inside nor tell how large the room is.
Famine - August 6, 2004 12:13 AM (GMT)
Famine was suprised the door open. He was hoping that when the spear hit the door, it would blow up. But this would also do.
"Whoever made this tower must have been a human..." Famine stated, insulting the makers of this building. He decided if there was a trap it would be inside the room, unless the makers of the tower were too stupid to do that. The demon took a few steps into the room, waving his spear out in front of him, in case there actually was a trap(s).

Famine:
There are no traps that you are aware of but it is very difficult to tell what is in the room with it being so dark. The tip of your spear hits something along the wall and it falls over and shatters sending pieces around the room.
Famine - August 6, 2004 12:35 AM (GMT)
Famine kneeled down to the ground, to see what it was that fell. He assumed it wasn't gold since it shattered so easy, so he decided it would be best to gather all of the peices, or as many as he could, up. He sat his spear down and began crawling around the room in darkness, picking up pieces of whatever it was that broke, until he had gotten all he could find and sat them in a pile in front of him.
"I wonder what they are..." He said to himself looking at the pile of pieces in darkness. He couldn't see them, but he got his eyes within inches of the pieces to see what they are.

Famine:
Most of the pieces that you feel are shards of something, probably ceramic, but there is something else too. Rocks? you are still unsure for the blackness of the room allows for little detail. But darkness does not prohibit your hearing and a noise reaches yer ears. There is something in the room with you to your right, but the room must be very wide for it sounds as though there is ample space between you and it.
Famine - August 6, 2004 12:49 AM (GMT)
Famine heard the noises from crouching position in the darkness.
Darkness... Duh! I can't beleive I forgot about that. Famine thought to himself. He muttered a few words, and an aura of light began emitting from him. He took the small rock-like objects from the pile of broken ceramics and put them in a pocket that was on his cloak. He stood up and grabbed his spear, readying himself for a fight.

Famine:
Light fills the room and you relaize that you are in the very lefy corner of a dining hall. There are lavish decorations everywhere but they are old and covered in dust now. Many of them are still obviously made out of gold or silver and there are many more jars and pots along shelves on the wall similar to the one that you broke. But you are not as distracted by the jars are you are the thing under the table. There, crouching under the table is a gray wolf, teeth bared watching your every move.
Famine - August 6, 2004 01:05 AM (GMT)
Famine looked at the wolf blankly. He thought it was going to be some sort of monster.
"Ha! Come here little doggy." Famine said to the wolf, as he pulled out his bow, and waiting for the wolf to get a little closer. He took an arrow, and put it on the string.
"Just a little closer." He stated, pulling the string back.

Famine:
The wolf growls and backs away further under the table where it is harder to see it to aim. Where it stoof before lays a mangled carcass of some poor animal that was its prey. It appears that you disturbed its dinner....
Famine - August 6, 2004 01:18 AM (GMT)
Famine inched his way over near the carcass and pulled it close to him with his spear.
"Hey dog! Come get your food!" Famine shouted to the wolf, as he threw the carcass across the room. Hoping that it would buy Famine some time to grab some of the gold and get out of here.
Now I'll just wait and see if the dog goes for the bait. He thought to himself.

Famine:
The wolf barks at you and back up knocking into a chair and tipping it over. Frightened, it dashes back into the corner in the farthest end of the room and through an open doorway that you did not notice before. You are left alone in the room with the table, jars and the carcass.
Famine - August 6, 2004 03:21 AM (GMT)
Famine looked around, he decided to take a few pieces of gold and head for the next room, which he did.
"Ha! More treasure for me!" He said to himself, running towards the unexplored doorway. He stopped a few feet in front of it, and slowly walked into it.
