Description: Just Garath and other SoB please

Widow Syn Lore - May 22, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
She was looking for someplace to escape to, these long months alone were helping to build her character and make her a stronger girl, but like her wounds of body have had to heal, so had the wounds of her rejected soul refused. She had been traveling this time such a distance without food or much rest for three weeks straight. She was encountering a different terrain these last couple of days...the wind smelled like salt and the wind blew harder.

She came up over a hill and saw the most beautiful sight there was to be seen. The wide blue ocean streched as far as she could see and she just, simply...fell in love. She reached up to her neck and untied the cloak and took it off, then ran as if chased by dogs to the white sandy beach and into the ocean. No one was around, so she threw it down and dived in, nearly purring at the feeling of the cool ocean swaying against her.

Minutes turned to hours and she found herself exhausted. She felt so young again, and she knew that if she were to look in the mirror, she would look and feel the same. With her hair tangled and wet, and her dress soaked, she flung herself to the ground with her feet still in the path of the incoming waves, breathing in the freshest air she had ever breathed.

A lone figure in dark walk along the edge of the beach, gazing silently ahead. While the beauty of this wonderful beach was not lost on him, his mind was focused on other things. ' Perhaps that man gave me the wrong directions... I should have killed him...'

The faint sound of a giggle... a laugh, probably that of a young woman, caught his ears and Ash turned his look down the beach to where Syn lay sprawled out in the sun. "Huh... Another carefree soul trapped in obscurity." he mumbled (with a hint of a laugh) as he walked past.

Ash, I’m going to make this post as if it happened prior to your entrance into the Syndicate.  That way, we can kinda tie it all in.  Any complaints on that idea?

Piercing golden orbs watched as the waves crashed endlessly against the sand, both battering and comforting the beach in the same motion. The mid-day sun sparkled against the ocean surface, creating vivid portraits of light along the vast blue surface. Beauty was a concept not fully agreed upon by all mortals, yet such a frame could conjure up awe and appreciation in almost any creature. Such was it for the wolf, his golden eyes following the dancing lights upon ever-crashing waves. As he watched, from a distance, a new figure appeared upon the sandy picture. A female, her face a strange mask of wonder and relief drifted in and out of the water, dancing among the waves as if a painter living among her canvas. He smiled, appreciating both the beauty of the scene before him…and the beauty of her body, shown off by the tightly-clinging dress now drenched from seawater.

The minutes dragged on, and the wolf watched in silence as the young seemingly human girl played among the waves. She seemed exhilarated, like a child with a brand new toy, her face aglow with excitement and joy. This puzzled the wolf, and he sought to understand the source of such a gleeful expression. Perhaps the young female had finally completed her first hunt, or more likely that she had found a mate. Whatever the case, the spectacle was fascinating for the wolf, and he watched with rapped attention.

Finally, after what would have seemed to any mortal with a basic concept of time like hours, the young lady collapsed upon the beach, golden and red-streaked hair spraying out across the sand. The wolf smiled, eyes following along her ample body in a look of part lust, part admiration. His focus shifted quickly however, as figure happened upon the scene. A young human, barely a few yards from the wolf, trudged quietly along the sand, his eyes also upon the young woman.

“Huh... Another carefree soul trapped in obscurity,” came the voice of the human, punctuated by a quiet laugh.
The wolf’s brow arched, contemplating the strange remark of the human. The female certainly didn’t appear to be trapped, and furthermore how would one trap oneself in obscurity? The wolf shook away such thoughts, passing the resolution off to the all-too familiar mental aside. Humans. One shall never understand them.

Judging the young human male to be of no threat, the wolf finally moved from his spot, making his way down the beach. He brushed past the male, acknowledging his presence with only the slightest of nods. He settled himself down almost soundlessly beside the young woman, golden eyes scanning the beautiful horizon.

“What brings a pretty female such as yourself out to this beautiful shoreline?”

(thats perfectly ok with me)

Ash paused for a second to look back toward Syn Lore... and the wolf that had appeared near her.
“What brings a pretty female such as yourself out to this beautiful shoreline?”
He could'nt help but chuckle just a bit as he walked further along, thinking, 'I wonder where the next villiage is...'

Without thinking, remembering, or wondering at all the reason these two men had decided to appear, not caring as to why they had come upon her, she took their words with a smile and carefree attitude that had before been unknown to her, the happiness and energy within her tingled and she sat up to answer the animalistic-looking man, who she feared (to the smallest amount) had a dangerous glint to his eyes. Using her arms to support her body, she responded, "Oh, freedom, freedom!" before standing and yelling to the first to pass her by, "If this be obscurity, then I am a lucky one to be trapped within it!" before laughing and collapsing once again.

She caught the man's eyes that had called her a 'pretty young female' and was reminded of her burden, so slightly. Looking away, she saw her cloak lying in the sand, strewn about as tattered and dull it was. Immediately, she remembered--Her wing? It was not showing...had it been? They did not look at her in a strange way, as had many before them. Perhaps the sea had given her the energy to hide it, as the little food and rest she recieved had not done before.

She calmed herself and smiled, feeling worried, now, at what the thoughts were in their heads, the two who had seen her frollic as she had only done as an angel, before the corruption of love had destroyed her life and altered her very being. She held out her hand, apologising, "I am sorry for being so reckless and for not introducing myself, I am Syn Lore."
