Title: An Uncommon Order
Description: [Open to all.]
Blaez - May 18, 2006 07:15 PM (GMT)
He entered, his long black scarf blowing behind him, a bit of a limp. He hadn't been seen in months, and had just returned so swiftly. He pulled his scarf down from over his mouth, and a somewhat dry, raspy voice asked for a glass of water.
"Thank you."
He said in a normal voice, after downing it. He looked around. Some faces, farmiliar, some new.
"Good to be back..."
He said quietly, ordering another glass afterwards. He moved to a booth and seated himself.
((OOC:: Ah, my first IC post since my leave.))
cyro - May 18, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
Cyro lowered his head as he entered the inn drawing glances from the occupants about his height. after moving half way into the inn he stoped. he griped his cloak tightly in he left hand cleching the fabric tightly ,partly becuess he was scared of the people of the tavern.to him none of them looked friendly and at the same time he feared starting a fight.
he waited for somone to call him or for every body to stop staring giants were not that uncommone or could they see him for what he really was?
Blaez - May 18, 2006 09:50 PM (GMT)
As a new man entered the tavern, he was somewhat awestruck at seeing him, not knowing why. A smile crossed his face as he looked back down and took a sip of water. He looked over at the man, and saw what he thought was either fear or sadness.
"Hey, you."
He yelled across the room to the man. When he looked, he motioned for him to walk over.
Faith - May 21, 2006 05:36 AM (GMT)
Faith stood out the front of the 'Wilwarin Inn and Pub', or so it said on the sign overhanging the door. She had already made two mishaps today with signs and a third would just be cursed luck. She stood up and shook her shoulders before pushing on forwards and entering the pub with her staff in hand. She stepped up onto the raised floor boards that were dusty from the constant traffic in and out of the pub. Looking around the pub she noticed the counter and behind it the shelves arrayed with several spirits that were used for shots. Tables and chairs were scattered around, a fire had been built into one wall and a door leading out of the main room.
The smell of sweat and alcohol was a combination that Faith had not really had the time before to take in. She inhaled it now deeply, almost dry reaching from it's staleness. She was like a cat in a new enviroment, curious beyond all precaution. She ran a finger along her staff, feeling more confident as she did so. The barkeeper was eyeing her off, he was probably wondering how old she was and weather or not he should throw her out. A cheeky grin crept across her face at the thought of the large man trying to throw her out.
Looking around again, Faith noticed two men at a table. One looked to be a giant and she had to mentally slap herself to stop from gawking, the other man was wearing nothing but black. From his sleeveless shirt to his scarf and boots, it was all made of a black material. Tilting her head slightly she sized the two up quickly before walking towards them, her grin broadening as she slowly got closer to the both of them. "Hi, I'm Faith" She said to the two as she reached the table, a broad grin covering her face.
Blaez - May 21, 2006 03:02 PM (GMT)
He had taken another drink before seeing the woman walking towards them.
"Hm."
He said to himself. As she got closer he turned his gaze towards her more and more. At her greeting, he replied.
"Well, hello. I'm Blaez."
He said, a smile spreading over his face. He'd become looser the past few months, a bit more trusting. It had taken a while, considering his rough childhood. Plus, there was the fact of how trustworthy she looked. She looked innocent, like she'd never hurt anything, unless it had to be done. He'd made mistakes in the past like this, but not now. He knew she wasn't a fake.
((Lotsa extra kinda' unneeded stuff there. xP))
Faith - May 21, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
(well, she's viewing everything for the first time :p so XD)
Faith looked at the man named Blaez, dressed entirely of black. Her own white clothes somewhat a contrast to this mans. Looking down at the table she noticed a yellow liquid inside the mans cup, "How are you?" She asked before seating herself on one the seats inside the booth.
The giant hadn't said a word yet, she wondered if he would. He had a large cloak on, just like the man named Blaez did, but there were bulges in his unlike Blaez's. "What's in there?" She asked curiously, pointing at the cup Blaez held. She was acting much like a curious sixteen year old would, let out into the world for the first time.
(better? :p )
Blaez - May 22, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
"I'm fine."
He said, pushing back his hair, it just falling back into place. At her question about his drink, he looked down at it, and up at her.
"Sadly, they here consider it water."
He took a drink, only a small left in the glass.
Faith - May 24, 2006 01:25 PM (GMT)
"Oh, it looks kind of... ickish. That's if you were to ask me, which I'm pretty sure you wouldn't but you never know." Faith responded with a smile, She looked down at the table before looking back up at her newly found friend, "Well, how do I get a glass of water?" She asked curiously, "And is it free, because I haven't a cent on me." She added, aware that she was starting to blab on more than necessary.
Blaez - May 24, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
"Well, it's not too much. Almost free, but I can pay for it."
He smiled over at her and used his telekinesis to spin his glass on the table, causing a small whirlpool inside.
"How about it?"
Faith - May 25, 2006 12:03 PM (GMT)
"Oh really? I would be glad if you could." Faith replied, her eyes twinkling with a childish delight as she watched the cup spin and its liquidy contents hug the sides as if drawn there with a force. "How do you do that?" She asked, letting her curiosity take over.
Blaez - May 25, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
He raised his hand, and when a waitress came over, he asked for two glasses of water. And at her question, he replied.
"Lots and lots of practice..."
He sighed, when he almost lost control during all of this action, a quarter of the water spilling.
VoiD - May 29, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Void walked up to the "Wilwarin Inn and Pub" Wondering what it was since he hasnt been on the Earth's floor since he died and became and archangel. He walked in, while everybody was looking curiously at him, he sat at the table asking for a glass of wine. People we're still looking at him, and still curious. After he had his wine, Void met Blaez and Faith.
Blaez - June 1, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
He looked up, and saw yet another person looking at him. Not a man, but an archangel. The man advanced, and he'd figured he was headed toward him. He spoke quietly to himself.
"My, my, aren't I the popular one."
A grin crossed his face and he closed his eyes, the glass stopped moving.
Zelris - June 1, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Zelris had decided to take a break from his traveling and decided to get a drink since his canteen was empty. He walked for alittle bit untillcoming upon the "Wilwarin Inn and Pub". Zelris looked at the sign and muttered,"Good enough"
Zelris pushed open the doors and looked around. He had noticed a group of people and in that groupZelris noticed an arch angel. Intresting,he thought, but he didn'tget involved withthem and headed straight to a seat.
"May i have a glass of water?" Zelris rrquested.
Blaez - June 2, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
He saw another strange figure enter the bar, but avoided them, after seeing the archangel, though the newest person appeared to be somehow angelic.
"Strange crowds, here, these days..."
He said in the same low tone, still looking down, he started humming a tune that he remembered, but he didn't know where from.
Khan Delnoch - June 3, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
Khan sat amongst a group, accepting challenge after challenge from the patrons. Arm-wrestling and Drinking, he was undefeated in both. And yet the attention was elsewhere. He snapped the arm of the current challenger and throwing him to the ground.
He stood up purposefully and headed to the bar, his new earnings sounding out to all like the spurs on a aging sheriff.
"Mead" He growled at the bartender, dropping gold on the bartop
Construct4 - June 3, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
He looked up at the taverns sign and shook his head. It was not a good idea staying away from places where humans congregated was something he had learned but this time he wanted to try ... just once. Drawing his cloak in around him he did his best to hide every bit of his skin. The hood was pulled over as far as it would go and the hem draped along the floor. He kept his over sized arm deep in the folds and out of sight of prying eyes. He would have taken an intake of breath before he entered but he didn't breath.
Finally he pushed the door aside and walked into the glowing light of the Tavern. He kept a tight hold on the folds on his cloak with a covered arm. He sat down at the bar and looked at the bar tender. He would have asked for a drink but his voice would have been a give away. He reached out a gloved hand and pointed at one of the barrels on the wall. He did not care what he had chosen ... it was not the point. All he wanted was to taste it ... well anything. He saw humans, dwarfs, elves, orcs and everyone else ... tasting things...touching things ... feeling he was a dead soul trapped in a vessel, nothing more than a glorified soul gem that moved. He couldn't even remember his past life before....
His train of thoughts was interrupted but the bar tenders grunt. His hand was outstretched waiting for payment. he had forgotten that he had to pay, quickly he reached into a pocket and fished out a gold coin and handed it over. He looked down at the ale in front of him. He reached out and grabbed the handle. Before he took a draft he looked up at the creature that had sat next to him. He was huge by comparison. He stared out from beneath his hooded cloak. He was not afraid. Such a beast could not kill him... It wouldn't have mattered if it did anyway.
Zelris - June 4, 2006 01:29 AM (GMT)
Zelris sat at his seat still waiting for his glass of water from the bartender. while waiting for his drink Zelris noticed an Ogre arm-wrestling with other people he was going crazy with challengers. He actually snapped one of his challengers arms. Then he came up to the bartender and growled at the bartender, Zelris shook his head in disappointment. Zelris thought... what a fool.
When Zelris finally got his water someone else entered the Wilwarin Inn and Pub. This guy was completely covered in a cloak, keeping every part of his body hidden from the eyes of the public. Zelris had sensed something strange about this guy and kept his eye on him.
