Title: Exorcism at Kaima Inn
Description: Closed
Avénnian - May 13, 2006 10:55 PM (GMT)
Avennian walked patiently down the dirt road towards the inn. The wind was absent from this cool night, but the moon seemed to make up for with its ever-shining presence. Avennian had been called upon for a job that needed to be done. Of course, why wouldn't they call him? This is what he did, and had been raised to do. Avennian reached into the pocket on the inside of his cloak and pulled out a sheet of parchment. He felt the need to read it once more, just to make sure that he needn't take any extra precautions.

| There are 17 dead, 4 seriously injured, and 3 traumatized. |
Obviously, the four that had been seriously injured were meant to be killed. The owner of the inn had stated in the letter that he did not know what was doing this. But, Avennian knew; there was no other answer. It seemed to be walking through walls, was immensly strong, could disappear at will, and only appeared at night. Once Avennian had read the letter, he immediately realized the thing as a demon. What was more, the fact that it could disappear mean it was a demon that had already once been dead. The ghost of a terrible demon was haunting Kaima Inn. The true question was why it had chosen to do so.
The Inn was now very close and visible, but Avennian's paced did not slow. He stared at the Inn with determination, desperately wanting to purge the evil from this place. His eyes were fixated upon the Inn's looming windows. Avennian wondered if the demon was looking at him through one of the windows.
The elf's footsteps stopped nearly 5 feet from the door of the Inn. He heard a deep, low moan come from the Inn; it was coming from a higher level. Avennian continued forward, and slowly opened the door to the Inn. No doubt the Inn would be empty, but Avennian wanted to make sure that no one else was around, for there would soon be a battle taking place.
Avennian paused for a moment, standing in the doorway of the Inn.
"This will be done, tonight." Avennian said, halfway speaking to himself, but halfway speaking to the demon. He then took three steps forward. From where he was standing, he could see no one. The owner of the Inn had obviously and sensibly closed the Inn, and he himself had taken a temporary leave. Still, Avennian wanted to check for any living beings. Most people would have left immediately at the thought of a demon, but there were still those very exceptional people in the world that seemed to have few fears. Avennian, himself, being one of them.
"Is anyone here?!" He shouted, knowing that doing so would surely make the demon aware of his presence.
Umbra - May 14, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
All of the sudden one of the chairs moved. It moved ever so slightly and breathing could be heard. All of the sudden a chair tipped over and a door banged. In the darkness a muffled voice could be heard. A young half demon was tied up and placed inside a closet with a chair blocking it. As the chair toppled the closet door fell. The demon had most likely kidnapped her as a snack or something. The half-demon was still groggy from whatever knocked her out, but angry enough to have the strength to bang the door down with her feet.
Yumi - May 15, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
Yumi walked very steady in the night, heading towards the inn she heard rumors about in the small church not far in town. A demon was spotted in the inn, who only showed up at night, and most of the strong and holy clerics were off to fight in the war, so it only left the weaker ones who were still somewhat in training. Yumi wanted to help fight the demon, to get stronger so she didn’t have to depend on anyone, that she could get to the point where she could protect others. That was her dream, to become as strong as the holy men and women who protected her, and other people when they were in danger.
The moon light seemed to shine off her black eyes in the night, making them flash a bit, surely a talent that came from her angelic side. Everything seemed silent, as if no soul was awake, which was a good thing if the demon came out of the inn. Yumi looked up at the moon and sighed, she wanted so much to be up there, off this earth she called home. With a snap of the head Yumi looked strait ahead and stopped in her tracks; there it was, the inn. The girl clenched her fist, trying to find her courage, then she pushed onwards. This was a big job for a small girl, but in a way she didn’t fear, she wished she wasn’t alone. Then she stopped to think, I’m never alone...
Finally she came to the door and stopped, a loud howl came from the dark inn, obviously it came from the demon itself. Walking in the entrance she saw a figure, Yumi wasn’t sure if it was the demon or not, but she wasn’t about to take any chances. Quickly Yumi wiggled her right fingers, and a soft, chilling mist encircled her fingers, ready to freeze anything she touched. Taking her left hand, she reached out to grabbed the being, but then stopped short when she heard a loud bang just a few yards away. Darting her head to the sound, she left the freeze spell fade on her fingers. From what she had been told, she thought there was only one demon here, and this figure was awful small for a dangerous demon. But why could this figure be dangerous? Yumi was small, but that didn’t mean she could never be strong. “Who are you?” Yumi whispered in a low tone, unsure if the sound came from the demon, or something else. Her eyes darted to the figure, and to where the sound was, unsure what to focus on...
Avénnian - May 15, 2006 02:10 PM (GMT)
Avennian's body didn't move as his ears hearkened to the sound of a moving chair. He slowly drew his longsword as his head turned in the direction of the sound, his hand holding the weapon steady in preparation to strike at any moment.
*BANG*
*THUMP*
Avennian's eyes narrowed as he turned to see a chair fall to the ground. He did not panic, he stood calmly, but his body was anxious as he gripped the sword even tighter. It was difficult to see, for there was no lighting in the inn, and the windows only served to allow a small bit of moonlight into the room. But that bit of moonlight was all Avennian needed.
"Light!" The elf yelled in a powerful and demanding tone, speaking the enchantment upon his sword. His sword began to glow brightly with a magic light, and Avennian pointed it toward the fallen chair and slowly walked in that direction. He was very surprised to see a person lying on the gound, tied to the chair. But, his surprise didn't stop his quick reaction. He bent down and began to untie this person, also wondering if this was some sort of a trick. He dismantled the thought as he finished untying the, woman, and his body whipped around as he heard a voice come from behind him.
"Who are you?" The voice whisepered lowly and softly. Avennian grabbed his sword and stood to his feet, taking a step forward.
The demon, Avennian thought. It wants to know who we are. He raised his sword as it grew even brighter, causing almost the entire room to light up.
"Yumi!" The elf yelled, as he quickly made his way to her. As he came close his worries began to surface, and his pace slowed. "What business do you have here at Kaima Inn?" He asked, right before he remember that there was yet another in the Inn. He turned around and looked at the person he had untied.
"You as well," he said, "What are you doing here, and why were you tied up? What this the doing of the demon?"
Gammon - May 15, 2006 02:30 PM (GMT)
Gammon let out a deep laugh, then appeared from out of the shadows. "My my. what do we have here? An elf?" He then looked at the sword he was holding. "And a warrior!" He smiled and laughed. "Well. You have come to the wrong place my friend!" The chains from his suit detatched, and hovered in mid-air as if to have a life of their own. On the tips were two vicious looking skulls with fangs. He drew his longsword and said, "I am sorry about the weapon. This one is just temporary!" He laughed.
Dark_Descendant - May 15, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
Dark Descendant makes her way down the dirt path, Dirt spiralling around her feet s she moves. The harsh wind causing the dusty dirt to be picked up and to circle around her feet as she walks swiftly. Steel toe capped boots thudding against the path as she moves, Her face remaining emotionless as she moves. Tattered cloak billowing out behind her form, Daito and Tanto at her sides, Swaying to and fro. She glares slightly as she finally approaches a few mis shaped buildings. These buildings looking old and decayed. She rolls her eyes, This obviously in an irritated manner as she moves towards the buildings, Almost staggering towards them as she walks. Needing supplies but not being sure if this place even has supplies to support it's self let alone a traveller.
Umbra - May 16, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
Umbra shook her head, THIS is Gammon? she thought. She stood up and crossed her arms analyzing the man,"Snake chains, tattered clothes, and an arrogant attitude to match. Yep, I am a little disappointed but you are Gammon. said Umbra as she took her lantern out and snapped her fingers lighting it. Now she found out who Gammon was she was bored. She eyed the sword that he held. "I hope that toy sword of yours is temporary if you are to even be a challenge. Anyway. I am Umbra. And first encounters usually call for introductions so who are you all?" she said as she held up her lantern. She did not feel any reason to be scared. She knew her curse was worse than the three of them put together. Her eyes darted to the door, she lowered her lantern and placed her hand on her chakram. "Someone is comming, I can almost smell them." she said.
Azami - May 16, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
Azami walked into the inn. She had heard rumors about strange goings on at Kaima Inn and wanted to see if she could do anything to help. Almost as soon as she entered it, she wished she hadn't. There was a feeling in the air that chilled her to the bone. Her hand went to the hilt of her katana.
Footsteps came from behind her and she whirled around, katana out. It turned out to be a girl with black hair and green eyes walking towards the inn.
I'm starting to get a bit paranoid, thought Azami as she sighed.
"What are you doing here and who are you?" she asked.
Gammon - May 16, 2006 02:07 PM (GMT)
((Ragged clothes? Look at my Avatar more closely. His axe is the one shown in my avatar.))
Gammon bellowed a deep laugh. "If I must. I am Gammon the HellSpawn! I have been sent here by Malbolgia to lead his army soon." He sheathed his sword and took out a menacing Axe with a HUGE blade covered in blood. "I do not want to fight you little girl. I am here for Avennian. He has been sending Malbolgia's troops back to him and he is a little pissed off about that!" He slashed at Avennian with a powerful swing of his axe, aiming to sever his body.
